Sparrowpaw inclined her chin. "I saw you training earlier," she mewed, smirking. "You did pretty well, you know?" The mottled she-cat gazed down at her paws uneasily, not wanting to admit that she needed help with her battle moves. "You know...," she began, reluctant. She looked up for a couple of heartbeats, ears perking. Should she really admit that she wasn't nearly as well a fighter as Slatepaw? She probably shouldn't: who knew, the cat might just then view her as a weakling. Instead, all she added was: "I admire your skills."

The collosal she-cat paused her exit, her intimidating gaze sliding back over to the she-cat who liked to call her 'Kitty'. Halting her exit, she sat by the entrance, looking back over to the other, "I appreciate your admiration but don't start comparing yourself to me." She nodded her head respectfully, flicking her lusious tail from side to side, "We both will have different fighting styles, so it's not fair to compare yourself to me. What you lack, I possess and vise-versa." What wisdom was that that came from the quiet molly.

Whitepaw looked over at Deadpool, sympathy in those emerald-green depths. He then looked at Beastspark and Nettlespark and dipped his head, as if saying goodnight, then padded away to go rest in the apprentice's den. Today was a long day, and all he wanted to do right now was sleep.

Sparrowpaw puffed out her chest. "I'm tough too, you know," she huffed, flicking an ear. But she let the large black she-cat simply stroll out of the den, and instantly the lithe brown she-cat whirled around, tail quivering with excitement. I'll show her who she thinks she is, she thought slyly, a plotting grin splitting her muzzle.

It was a crisp morning and the frost was still creeping out of the apprentice den, but that didn't stop Blackfoot. To be an attentive warrior, one needed to be able to wake before the sun and scents faded. Pattering into the den, the tall black male scanned the interior with his golden gaze. Catching sight of his apprentice, he padded over to her, pawing at her pelt gently as a whisper left his maul, "It's time to wake, Sparrowpaw." He kept his voice hushed, not wanting to disturb the apprentices that needed their rest.

Sparrowpaw fluttered open her eyes groggily, groaning as she tossed around in her nest. "What?" she muttered, exasperated. Once her dream fully dissolved and her vision cleared, she realized she was looking up into the broad black face of her mentor, Blackfoot. Reluctantly, Sparrowpaw hobbled to her paws. "Training, I'm guessing?" she hummed with a sly snigger. "Good."

Sparrowpaw pranced happily after her mentor, chest puffed out, ears perked. Her nose twitched as she peered around the camp at all her inadequate Clanmates; the tiny she-cat huffed. "So, what are we starting with?" she asked, sitting down and raising her head high.

To say the least, Nightkit was surprised by Jaykit's sudden out burst; she leaned back a bit, her ears nearly going flat against her head.
Though it didn't take long for her to get it together and simply listen to the young tom's ramble.
It probably would've been quite amusing if she wasn't scared so easily, something she really needed to work on.

It was clear that she was lost in thought for a moment, until she noticed Jaykit's claws dig into a the leaf-
what a shame..it was quite a pretty leaf
She was about to say something about the poor leaf when her head perked up and heat rose to her fur.
She hadn't at all expected that!

It took a short moment to piece the words together before the molly could answer.
"o-okay, i'l-l be ca-carefull!"
She mew before continuing
"th-thank yo-u.."
Nightkit gave him a kind yet small smile, then raised her tiny paw to give a soft poke
"a-and you be ca-carefull too!"
With this she partly meant the squirrels- but also, from what she saw, his clumsiness. She really was afraid that he would hurt himself at some point..
"a-and uh...i-i'll pro-pro-pro-tect you fr-om the l-leafs!"

the tom was surprised by nightkit's unawareness of the evil species called squirrels. he did suppose they were rare because of leaf-bare but.. jaykit couldn't help but raise a brow at nightkit, "woah. you live under a rock, " he stated blankly. he carried no harmful intentions even if it might seem like a rude statement. "that's okay though! when we're app..apprentices, i'll show you one!" jaykit smiled simply, shrugging his shoulders. when he was an apprentice, they didn't stand one chance against him! he was the mighty bird..cat..thing! awh, so cool. so cool.

jaykit nodded sharply at the shecat, "good!" he huff. he could protect her all she wanted but he couldn't always be there! gotta hold your own! ye!
his mismatched colors gleam as he glance away in embarrassment. jaykit would give his shoulder a few licks, "i'm always c..care..eful!' he mumbled out, attempting to frown but the twitch of his lips gave it away he was happy. happy that nightkit shown some worry for his scatterbrain self.
though, it quickly faded.
jaykit whip his head around, "wHA? NO. I'LL BEAT T..THEM.. up..! you stay o..out of me and leaves b..business. you don't need a t...ta..r..rget on your back, trust me. "

jaykit to this point was now laying on slatepaw's shoulder. though even if the kit's personality was mature and he was still smaller than suspected, he was uncomfortably big or slatepaw was uncomfortably small to climb on now. so, jaykit rolled off the molly. hitting the ground with a soft grunt. he stared up at the den's ceiling, letting out a snort of amusement.
"mousebrain, eyeballs aren't s..scary!" jaykit mrrow, "you ove..erthin..nk too much about your appeara..ance. which isn't fair!" he huff, mismatched eyes turning towards slatepaw. considering in his opinion, he was stranger.
