so... I know that in the 'approved' list there are many names that are acceptable - including the one I want - but it does not seem that the name would fit well? I really want to use the name, though.

Deception ((ex. Deceptiondream, this name was earned by a warrior once named Fallingpaw(dream). he had earned this name by fighting a group of enemy warriors at the border while they were trying to come into his clan's territory - this name is a symbol to how he had tricked his enemies into falling back because he made it seem as if there was more than just him).

not sure i fully understand the question but keep in mind that deception- is more of a punishment name than anything !

it's an homage to the former leader deceptionstar, who isn't viewed as a great cat -- you can read more about what they did here. i doubt any leader aware of deception & the ee would consider it a name to "earn." this would be something to contact the clan leader about, though.

If you don’t think the name will work, try and find something else, or play around with surnames until one seems to fit until you’re happy with it. Like mentioned above, you could have your warrior earn a nickname (good or bad) through your roleplay actions.
