This day in particular was going pretty well for Falconflight , it was an unusually warm autumn day, hunting was running well and now he could relax and enjoy the glowing sun set that cut the sky in half.

Sunlight dappled his striped pelt through crisp orange leaves, the tom released a massive yawn as he turned onto his side. Drowsily, flame-coloured hues flickered across the clearing searching for nothing in particular just observing the scenes happening in the clearing.

The grey apprentice blinked the bright sun from her eyes. It was maybe late afternoon and of course Minnowpaw was just coming out of the apprentices den. She hadn’t been called for any patrols lately and StarClan knows where her mentor was.
But other than all that, Minnowpaw just hadn’t been feeling motivated enough to get out of her nest.
She hadn’t been that hungry since Juniperpaw died, but she might as well get some food, right?
Her paws began to blindly lead her towards the pile, the only problem was she had managed to stumble upon a large mass in her way.
“Sorry… Falconflight? Right?”
She dipped her head in embarrassment, first she ran into him then forgot his name.
This afternoon was starting out great.

A sharp hiss of surprise escaped Falconflight as someone tripped over him "What in Starclan's name?!" he thought shocked by the sudden disturbance after he had been resting so calmly.

Snapping his head around to see the one who had disturbed his he soon saw it was an apprentice and she seemed to be apologizing...though not very well...and she didn't seem to know his name how strange.

An annoyed look formed on his face at the pathetic attempt to say sorry and he flicked his ear curtly as he spoke "Yeah that's right ya should look where ya going" he said rudely staring at Minnowpaw with fiery eyes.

Minnowpaw glanced down at her paws “Sorry.” She murmured again.
“Can i get you something? A piece of prey from the pile?”
Without waiting for an answer she grabbed a nice looking fish from the top of the pile.
It was a fairly large creature, with a speckled back.
She then grasped two mice in her white maw.
The grey apprentice hurriedly dropped the prey in front on Falconflight.
“I wasn’t sure which one you would like…”

"I-" he started in the same tone but he was cut off as Minnowpaw rushed to the prey pile, no he didn't want prey! Couldn't she just listen?! Ugh, apprentices! Falconflight rolled his eyes frustration before watching her grab some prey.

His gaze flickered to the prey that had been laid out in front of them and he gave an indignant sniff as he closely inspected each one before snatching the large fish towards him with a sharp talon "I'll take this you can have the mice" he told her gruffly and immediately took a small bite out of the fish's side chewing slowly as to savour the taste, she was lucky that fish was his favourite otherwise he would've been much grumpier.

Finishing the last of his fish, Falconflight swiped his tongue over his muzzle and turned to Minnowpaw again as she spoke "Yeah I have loads you could give it to Lark or Cinnamon or mabye Cinnamon's kits, they'd like it I suppose" he had so many relatives to chose from to give it to all of which he loved equally so he’d let Minnowpaw decide.

That was the most vague answer she had ever received.
“Umm, May I ask, Lark and Cinnamon who?”
She was honestly more interested in whoever Cinnamon was. She had lots! That was exciting!
“And what are Cinnamon’s kits named?”
She was definitely going to bring the mouse to the kits, who would pass up the chance to see some small little furballs?
