Make sure the image is transparent/has a transparent background! (You can tell its transparent by clicking on the image in your albums and the image has no background. you also have to have the image in your albums!)

Also!! If images are above a certain size ( pixel by pixel ratio ) it will not upload as transparent. So you may just need to resize the image to be smaller.
