The small tom felt bad for making his friend sad. He nudged the other tom's shoulder. Sorry for bringing it up, I didn't know. he said with a small worried frown. He noticed the she-kit looking at them and smiled at her, inviting her with a flick of his tail, Hello, friend! What might your name be? he asked with a welcoming grin.
After they finished bringing the prey back to camp their next task was finding the deputy. Which luckily wasn't hard. The lynx point shook off their grass stained coat, trying to look at least a bit presentable.
“Ashclaw and I have returned from our hunting patrol.” They took a deep breath before continuing.
“It was very successful. We caught three hares and a mouse.” Brightdawn wasn't eager to report this part.
“Unfortunately Ashclaw got injured while chasing one of the hares, and hurt his leg.” They pitied the other warrior, it wasn't a very flattering incident.
“I did advise him to see the medicine cat though.” They added
Fallownose pricked his ears at the sound of pawsteps heading towards him and turned to see Brightdawn approaching. He nodded in greeting before listening to what she had to report. "Well done. Ashclaw should definitely see Cowpaw to make sure he hasn't wrenched anything, so hopefully he's done that already. Go ahead and get some rest, you both did well."
Tigerpaw walked back to camp holding a mouse with Skyleaf. She dropped the mouse in the fresh kill pile and looked at the warrior. "You report. I don't now how to explain what we saw."
Skyleaf nodded to Tigerpaw, making her way over to Fallownose. "We are done with our patrol," she meowed, still slightly confused by the flying twolegs. "... There were twolegs. Flying. I'm not sure why, and how, but they were there. Not sure if this is something to be concerning about, though, they can be weird at times..." Never would she have thought that she'd have problems with reporting in a patrol one day. "There was not much prey either, only stale scents, but Tigerpaw managed to catch a mouse on our way back."
Fallownose sat with his tail curled around his paws as Skyleaf and Tigerpaw came over to report their patrol. He couldn't help as his ears flattened incredulously at the mention of flying twolegs. "That's er... new. I'll tell the next patrol to keep an eye out, but hopefully they aren't dangerous." The deputy twitched his whiskers thoughtfully before dismissing the two with a flick of his tail.
Shattervenom wasn't sure when Raypaw had strayed from her side… she's been sure that the blond tabby had been keeping up with her when they left camp. Had his scent following her to the border been a mirage? Had he gotten bored, disappointed with being paired up with a warrior he barely knew? No… surely that hadn't been the case. Shatter liked to think that they boy would've grabbed her attention before leaving… perhaps someone else took Ray's focus, needing him for something else. Hunting, or training. Important stuff.
Luckily, the patrol proved uneventful. Shattervenom discovered another beehive locked into a rotting log that spanned the river, its angry buzzing texturing the air like sandpaper. The huntress checked it out briefly, determined that it wasn't a threat, and moved on, finishing her work with updating the territory scent markings. She hadn't met any RiverClan cats, and hadn't made an effort to seek any out. Sighing, the tall she-cat brushed though the wet reeds and waving grasses back home.
Unfortunately, her anxiety spiked as she drew toward camp… and Fallownose. How was she supposed to explain returning alone? Excuses burned on her tongue, although her teeth were clenched tight. Shatter really, really, really didn't want to rat her clanmates out… but she didn't want to be punished for completing the patrol on her own, either.
The snow-spattered black cat marched up to Fallownose, expression blank. "No activity noted near the RiverClan border. Scent markings have been reestablished. I noted a beehive nested in a log that crosses over the river, but as long as nobody disturbs it, the hive shouldn't be dangerous. Anything else you'd like to know, Fallownose?"
Please let the deputy accept this news. Please let him move on. Shattervenom swallowed, her dry throat catching on the gesture.
Shattervenom was an interesting cat. Fallownose didn't know them well, but he had seem them around camp talking with kits and doing their duties. The warrior seemed a little odd, but normal was overrated anyways. "Good. Go ahead and get some prey," the deputy said. He noticed how her throat seemed to catch but he made no comment on it. If something important had happened that would affect WindClan then she certainly would have told him.

"Wispypaw never followed us to the border and quite frankly I've not a clue where he went. Whoever his mentor is though needs to do a better job of teaching him about what the duties are of a cat called on patrol."
With that, she gave a wave of her tail, shuffling her paws underneath her and awaiting Fallownose's reply incase he had anything to add or needed her for anything else.
Fallownose's eyes tracked Bravebird as she headed into camp with prey before heading towards him to report. Normally he might give a reminder about making sure the borders were well marked before hunting, but he knew that the young warrior wouldn't slack on a patrol. Especially one at the ShadowClan border.
"I'm glad that ShadowClan doesn't seem to be sticking their noses into our business at the moment. I'll make have a talk with Wispypaw about patrols as well as their mentor."
➢ After the border patrol was successfully completed, the burly warrior returned to the deputy with his report. “Fallownose,” Lotuswhisper greeted the Windclan deputy with a respectful dip of his head, “Leafheart, Rabbitpaw and I were all able to mark the Thunderclan borderline without any issue. The young apprentice did well for herself and I’m quite pleased.” He didn’t want to seem like he was expecting her to fail or anything, no, the maine coon simply wanted to give Rabbitpaw praise where it was due. Small stuff like that went a long way. “There was a noticeable scent of a coyote lingering around the Thunderglade, but it was very stale and looked like it had since moved on from here. Other than that, there’s nothing else worth reporting.” It made Lotuswhisper happy that the three of them were able to complete this patrol. The succession of such a thing was satisfying for the tomcat these days. In a time of sickness and chaos, one had to find positivity in simpler places, though it sounded rather hypocritical coming from Lotuswhisper.
Fallownose returned Lotuswhisper's greeting when they approached and listened intently to the report. "I'm glad Rabbitpaw is settling in well. I'll make sure the next patrol knows about the scent, but I doubt it will bother us since it's stale."
The massive smoky maine coon walked heavily towards the deputy, her eyes holding that ever-burning determined gaze, giving of a threatening aura. The muscular cat stared for a second before reporting.
"Patrol's done. I caught a rabbit. Bunnypaw didn't finish. Didn't catch anything." she said monotonusly, resisting the urge to say she got easten by Dawnstar or something.
Fallownose blinked slightly at Mountainhaze's abrupt tone, but gave a nod of his head. "Right, I'll talk to Bunnypaw. Good job."

(Sorry! I thought I responded to this already)
Mud stood straighter and said "O-ok then. Let's take a walk, and do some hunting on the way" He hoped the apprentice would come along, it would make him feel bad if they declined and went to ask a warrior.
Rabbitpaw - 58
The apprentice nodded, whiskers twitching with excitement. She didn't care who took her out as long as she wasn't stuck in camp doing nothing. She felt like a lazy kittypet. She hated lazy kittypets and refused to be one. "Okay!", Rabbitpaw meowed, following behind.

A lynx-point sat in the clearing, intently focused on something they were holding between their large paws. The Warrior suddenly stood up, pranced over to a nearby bush, grabbed a few covered leaves before sitting back down. Then the grabbed the moist leaves between their teeth, then scrubbed the object they had in their grasp with them. After deeming it was perfect, they wiped the pebble in their fur, drying it off. Then placed it on a piece of dried bark, inspecting it's presentation carefully.
Rabbitpaw - 59
Padding out of the apprentices den the older apprentice moved out into the camp. She was hoping to talk to someone in camp. She was pretty sore from the battle lesson yesterday and just wanted to relax. Glancing around she spotted a warrior. They didn't look like they were doing anything. Rabbitpaw padded over to them. Once they got closer she saw her with a pebble. Interesting. "Hey what you got there?", she asked. Hopefully they didn't mind her asking. If not she would probably just walk away.

Spottedmask padded around the clearing, somewhat anxious about the current events going on. Would everyone come back from the battle safe? What was going to happen? His amber eyes scanned the clearing for others to talk to, before he got slightly overwhelmed, not knowing what to say; who to talk to. He barely socialized with his clanmates, but there was no reason to keep it that way.
He padded over to the fresh kill pile, staring at the different types of prey there were. He hoped another cat would come by, so he could ask to share with them, and perhaps, get to know his clanmates better.
Rabbitpaw - 60
A little nervous about the battle going on Rabbitpaw was just pacing around the camp. She hoped there would be no deaths among her clanmates. She hated death. It terrified her and it made her feel sad. She liked to be happy. She wanted to be happy not upset. Looking around Rabbitpaw saw a warrior and moved over to them. Maybe a conversation would calm her down. At least she hoped it would. "Mind if I bother you?", she asked. Her voice showed how nervous she was about the whole battle.

Okay, this was just a little unnerving. Fernpaw didn't think he was anything to gawk at -- was he? It reminded him a lot of what Twilightstar did when he returned to the Clan with Eldersky. She stared. She was that surprised, that he'd been given another chance...
And then Cowpaw bounded forward, and he recoiled slightly from the sudden movement. Fernpaw was trying to be better about that -- about being so finicky with sharp motions, it wasn't that easy especially when faced with a near stranger. "Um.." What was this cat doing? Cowpaw seemed pretty excited, but he didn't understand the - whatever this was? It seemed to be some type of communication, but Fernpaw hadn't the slightest clue what any of it was beyond how bouncy Cowpaw was. "... okay?"
Fernpaw actually felt pretty bad, not knowing what was going on. He didn't want to be rude and pretend like he had a clue, it'd be unfair to both of them. "I don't know.." he indicated toward Cowpaw, "what you're trying to say." He'd never met a cat who didn't (verbally) speak before, this was all new to him.
Fernpaw hadn't wanted to dig his claws in too much, he wasn't here to hurt Peachfrost. But when she started bucking him around he had to, hooking his claws into her (wow it's so soft!!!!) pelt. With a better grip on her, he made an attempt to pummel down on her back with his hind legs. With all the hunting practice he had under his pelt, his kicks would be surprisingly strong - though he tried to not do it hard enough to cause any true damage.
At this point, he was just rolling solely on instinct - hoping whatever he did against her would work in a pinch. Figuring sticking to her back like a spider on the web might not be the best long term solution, he sprang away from her the second he had an opportunity amidst her flailings, and whirled around to aim a few blows toward her -- anywhere close to him, really.
