Milkkit had just awoken from a nap, and could now be seen trodding tiredly out of the nursery. Blinking sleep from their eyes, the large black kit lifted their chin to see that a bunch of the other kits and apprentices had gathered near Birdsnow’s den. Their interest piqued, Milkkit pricked its ears.

"C-could I join?" it stammered, walking up to Rainpaw. They stared unblinking into the tom’s one eye, curling their toes reflexively. "I hope I’m not too late," they added, realizing this had already been started whilst they'd been asleep. Whoops.
