Stagskip had mixed feelings about them and the rest of the sticky situation they were in, and so far he’d decided that he would rather go back to ShadowClan’s land when the opportunity became available. Honestly, with all of this going on, he wasn’t sure he could blame Halestar for leaving due to the stress of leadership - despite his understanding, he still felt resentful since it wasn’t as if all of them could just leave. They weren’t cowards who would ditch their loyalties at the drop of a mouse tail. Because of the state their Clan was in, with a new leader and in a territory they didn’t belong, Stagskip hadn’t been able to sleep very well. He was kept up by insomnia and bad dreams, which gave the young warrior no choice but to try to get rest whenever possible. At this time of day, he didn’t think he would have anyone to disturb and was fast asleep in a makeshift nest, not being brave enough to take one of the RiverClan cats’.

The nightmares continued to plague him, however. He could imagine himself running through a RiverClan-esque territory, monsters - foxes, dogs, badgers - chasing him back to where he belonged and so desperately wished to be. He could feel the heat of their breath on his hind legs, growing closer and ready to snap at him with their ferocious, bone-breaking jaws. Terrified, Stagskip tried to make a dash from them and save his pelt; however, outside of his dream, all he was doing was wildly squirming and thrashing within the nest. His paws were colliding with something rough albeit squishy, and the foreign sensation startled him out of the dream. Blinking to clear his blurred vision away, he was met with the sight of Grizzlyprint and swore his heart jumped into his throat, and he realized this was it. This was how he was going to die - not by foxes or badgers or dogs, but this huge bear of a tom. ”I’m so sorry!” Stagskip squeaked, embarrassed and fairly terrified. Shuffling to his feet faster than ever, he put some distance between them, chest still heaving with the remnants of the bad dreams and sudden horror. ”I ..disturbed you, didn’t I? Oh StarClan, oh StarClan..” He wasn’t usually skittish like this, but Grizzlyprint didn’t seem like the cat to mess with, intentional or not. ”I should just.. Uh, let myself out of the warriors’ den,” he began to back up, “sorry again for disturbing-” before he could finish, he unknowingly backed into another nest and basically fell into it, becoming startled as his fur puffed wildly.

Berries...mmmm. Grizzlyprint laid his head down on his paws, dreaming about the delicious food. More of a dessert for cats like him. Most of these clan cats didn't know about berries, but boy...he knew his berries. He loved his berries. And, his sweet tree sapling. It was like - he was surrounded by berries. Different types of berries, and all of them had been delicious. In reality, his tongue was lolled out his mouth, but in his dream his tongue had been wrapped around as many berries he could eat. He could taste it. And, man...they tasted amazing. Another wouldn't believe he was even dreaming, but he was deep asleep. Running through a field of different berries. Being able to gulp them up as much as he could. This...this was the life.
Until something disturbed him. Sounded like leaves being scratched. Grizzlyprint found himself looking up at the sky, and noticed that the leaves were indeed falling. But, why were they making such a horrid noise? In reality, the tom muttered in his sleep inaudible phrases, then he started shifting around. The leaves were annoying. They continued to fall, and scratch. It made the tom want to snap. For Grizzlyprint didn't have a lick of patience in his personality. His movement became out of control and the tom finally ceased everything, and shot his head up in a blazing movement. He darted his eyes around until he was met with a young tom who seemed to just woken up from his own...trance. ''Oh?'' His voice was gruff, sounding more of a growl than anything. Grizzlyprint became unsettled. Like a bear being woken from their hibernation in the middle of winter. ''Well, isn't that obvious?'' He clenched his teeth. The ragged tom was highly displeased with being woken up. Especially from a dream as such. Turning his glaring hues back onto the other tom, he squinted his eyes to figure out who it was. But, the young tom got up, apologizing profusely - then stumbled into the other nest. ''Hah.'' The faintest of smiles appeared on the rugged tom's maw. Definitely Stagleap. Grizzlyprint didn't think he'd met a more skittish tom. He supposed it wouldn't hurt to scare him. After all, Grizzlyprint liked to have a little fun. ''You should be sorry. You do not want to know what I do to cats who disturb my sleep.'' He growled, getting up from his own nest and ready to stalk forward if the smaller tom dared to give chase.
