Fennec rotated his ears forward to counter his his tail, which seemed to have a mind of its own at times. Maybe Timid thought he was a giant secret holder, and destroyed the growing trust between them because he hadn't said anything. He bit his lip, he didn't want to tell her all about his past, but a small part of him just wanted to get it out in the world to someone. What would Timid do? He didn't think she was the type of feline to laugh and run away. His nose twitched, he still dint think he was ready to throw out his past like snowfall.

To lose time, Fennec sniffed the air, hoping to find a song patch of prey, or maybe a fawn to show the molly beside him. He closed his eyes and searched the clear air with his nose, hoping to pick up the faint scent of the juniper bush that was near the aspen clearing. He inhaled, and the smell of juniper drifted awards him. A sharp, strong, and piney type of smell that was somehow more...planty? Whatever was the scent, they were extremely close to the little grove.

Judging from the fact that Timid had somehow known all about the fennec fox, he had a hunch that Timid was well-informed about animals. He just didn't know which ones, but he knew for a fact probably a lot more than him. Maybe that was a good thing: Fennec had always found deer and cervidae fascinating, maybe Timid could teach him a thing or two about all of the prancing, antler-sporting deer.

Fennec returned her small laugh with what he hoped was a reassuring smile. Sure, he'd been here for a season or two, but he wasn't an expert. Anything could happen here, he just prayed that it was good action. But nonetheless, thunderstorms would always happen. It was just a matter of how strong the storm was. Either way, he'd do his best to hold out. Anything could be an adventure, really.

Fennec swiveled his head sharply as Timid replied to his flustered reassurance on the bears, he felt his rising tail now prickle with a feeling he couldn't pin down. "It was all talk." Fennec kept his voice level, remembering the two cats passing by saying something along the lines of 'oh yeah, that bear was huge!'; Fennec figured they'd seen it on the edge of the territory, but the cats were travelers, so they tustve seen it somewhere on their path. He spoke aloud again before he could stop himself, "I haven't seen one personally, but Im guessing so many other cats have seen one. Not here of course, but cats all around that live in different places. I bet some dent even know what bears are." he gave a little amused puff of air as he finished his sentence, looking softly at Timid's face a she tried to agree with him. Fennec felt something awkward flutter in his chest, the other cat probably still didn't believe him. He heaved a sigh, why did he say bears in the first place the he knew he would frighten Timid?

Fennec felt his anticipation grow as he watched Timid nod as he talked about his family. What was she thinking? He felt his paws turn skittish, each paw step bringing a new level of sensitivity. He was ready to become scared and shelters if Timid replied something that he dint want to hear. But maybe this was ate telling him to face the music, just up and tell her. His slightly brave feeling growing within him suddenly deflated as Timid responded to him. He took a deep breath in, maybe she couldn't find anything to say. Fennec turned his gaze forward to look at the wildflower, and pine needle-strewn grass infant of him, but Timid stayed in the corner of his eye. he decided not to think of the questions that just happened, and instead focused on the sound of his and the she-cats paw steps against the nature.

He couldn't help but notice Timid looking at his paws and at her paws, perhaps they were thinking that same thing? Fennec doubted it. his mind was simple, priorities first and taking in the exact scene around him. Timid seemed to be the cat that thought of all the possibilities and remembered the memories that came when a small thing triggered it. Fennec set his jaw, the only memories that came back to him was his family, which did not help whatsoever. He felt his shoulders loosen in relief as Timid averted the subject to something else. Fennec was almost excited to respond, so he looked up and back at Timid."it's beautiful."he mewed, trying to give Timid a visual picture, "Its a small clearing of aspen trees, and they literally glow in the sunlight." he emphasized enthusiastically, "we're almost there."[

The thought of his past left his mid free for a few moments, so Fennec scented and looked for the distinctive juniper bush on the side, his amor eyes flickering around in a panoramic sweep. He slowed his pace dramatically when he spotted the small evergreen bush. "Do you see that juniper bush? Its right past that." Fennec increased his pace slowly. He hoped Timid would enjoy this, not for her to take up his offer- which he had spaced out on- but just so she could enjoy the scenery of where he lived.
Timid’s large eyes soaked in the area. She was already excited...even though she should had probably been home by now. Instead, she was taking up an offer of leaving everything she knew behind. She always figured that there would be greener grass on the other side. And, this place? Was the literal definition of it. She looked towards the blue skies to aspen trees to the pretty flowers of all sorts. She was intrigued by everything. As she whipped her head to stare at Fennec, her ears began to flat to her head and a frown appeared on her face. “What's wrong, Fennec?” Her voice was light. Why did he put himself into a submissive posture?

Timid hoped it wasn't her fault if she upset him. This made her began breathing heavily as she always felt when something happened, it was her fault. She was usually was the one easy to be picked on back in the Syndicate. She was small, she knew she was useless, but she was one of the skilled hunters. They couldn't just get rid of her...but she wanted to leave. She just didn't have enough encouragement to do that until she met… The Fennec fox look alike. She knew it wasn't a bad thing that she met him. He was so nice! Even beyond the rough...interior. Or, whatever he was hiding.

Timid didn't want to pester him. He would probably find her company unbearable and want her to leave. To Timid, she felt this was giving her a second chance at being happy. And though, she was happy being in the Syndicate...with friends. She forgot the true meaning of happiness. She was such an upbeat cat that rarely got to show that side of her.

So, she bounded forward, running as fast as she could with the small legs she had. “Come on, Fennec!” It was funny. She didn't know this place at all, but she was urging him to follow her. The beauty had left her breathless, and the fresh air entered into her nostrils like it was giving her new life. Nothing bad had to happen here, right? Timid took a whiff at the air, smelling the noticeable plants. She blinked her eyes for a moment before she continued on.

Of course, the bear...Timid stopped in her running, gradually slowing down. Her ears swiveled towards Fennec. She began lightly railing beside him, keeping her tail in a low swish. “Bears are intimidating because they're so large!” She had to admit...she was overreacting when it came to this bear situation. She could by the way Fennec was trying to convince her with his stammering. Even if she was scared, she tried her best to hold it down by simple facts she picked up from bears. “It won't attack you if you don't provoke it.” She shrugged, flicking her green eyes to look at him. “You just have to stay really still. Blend in with the surroundings and they won't bother you.” Her whiskers quivered, and she looked ahead at their destination.

Timid observed a lot of animals. From the tiniest termite to the ever so large bears. Any animal apart of the forest, the small feline knew about. Learning was everything to Timid. And, she wished to share her knowledge with other felines...but no one seem interested to know the facts she learned from observing each species. So, Timid kept it to herself. And, every now and then, she would let little facts slip out at the right moment.

As they continued on, Timid smiled at the tom’s words. “You don't have to tell me that!” She giggled. “I already know it's gorgeous here!” And, a lot better than that depressing place I call home. Home… That was a funny word to her now. She didn't understand the meaning of it, but she knew she would enjoy every moment that she had left here. The she cat began picking up her pace once more, excitement welling in her at the thought of being awestruck by such a…beautiful place.

She was already in love with air that was surrounding them. And the brilliant sunlight that lit up this place. She couldn't imagine what the moon would bring upon lighting this place up. She had wondered how long they had left before they would reach the place. Then, she figured the farther the better! But at Fennec’s words, she stared at the juniper bush, and nodded at the tom. She passed briskly towards it, passing it as Fennec said it was beyond that bush.

“Oh. My.” Exactly. Just as she thought. She was absolutely speechless. Just rooted to her spot as she stared around at this new place. Why didn't the Syndicate take this as their home? It was such a pure place. Untouched to the core. And, Fennec was lucky enough to call this his home. Her mouth was agaped, and her eyes stayed widened.
This was endless…
After a few moments of being shocked, intrigued, or any emotion bubbling with in. “This is where you live?” She stared up at him with a tilt of her head. She knew it was beautiful, she just didn't think it would be absolutely stunning!
