"Hello Owltail," he said in his usual rumbling voice. He rubbed his cheek against his mate's affectionately, a purr in his throat. "How are you doing? Has Caliapaw said anything bad about the kits or you?" Fernglow couldn't help himself, it was just an instinct to ask a million questions at once about their unborn kits and his mate. It was natural.
