[Abyssopelagic]

Butterball was sleeping soundly in his comfy little bed when he woke up. Dazed and confused, he sat up a d stared around the place.
Lillian was missing, but that wasn't terribly unusual for her.
It wasn't until he smelled an odd scent and heard strangled gasps that he realized something was wrong.
He slipped out the house and wandered to the garden to find Lillian sprawled out and gasping, a kit at her side.

Panicking, he rushed over to her, eyes wide in terror.
"Lillian. Lillian, Lillian, Lillian. I'm here. I don't.... I don't know what to do? What do you need me to do?"
He gaped uselessly at the little squirming ball that was new life. This felt.... so surreal.
