Hey guys!
To kick off WCOUnited this year, we're going to be holding a contest. Unlike our previous competitions in the past, however, this event will be a
combination of both art and literature.
How does it work?
First, artists and authors need to sign up using the provided format.
The staff will then pair contestants into teams of two: an author and artist. Authors will be responsible for the writing aspect of the submissions, and artists will be in charge of the illustrations (which should correspond with the story). Partners will be announced the night of February 4th. If there is more authors than artists, or vice versa, one partner will be required to substitute as the needed role.
For both pieces, the
theme is winter, which should be incorporated into your submissions in some form. The pieces also must be related to the main roleplay, although you are free to make scenes up provided they follow the Guidelines. If the subject isn't visible in your work, it will be disqualified.
There will be three winning placements.
- First place will receive 500 koins and a free bank item of their choice. This does not include power cards.
- Second place will receive 300 koins and a free* user-sold bank item of their choice.
*Staff will pay the seller.
- Third place will receive 100 koins.
Both pieces will be due
February 18th @ 9 PM EST, and will need to be submitted to the
Contest folder on WCOU as well as their respective clan folder. We will be open to allowing users without DeviantArt to send their entries in via PM to Lunacross or Raywood. Doing so will require approval
prior to sending in the finished project.
