Default Re: September Gathering

High Rank Announcement [#hrannouncement]

~Slatewhisker~
Slatewhisker walked just a few pawsteps behind Pikestar, looking straight ahead. She was trying her best to stay calm but with her mind, it was difficult to not focus on something, especially when she was trying very hard. Right now, she focused on her breathing, in out, in out, and counting her pawsteps, but that never worked. Her mind always strayed to the things she didn't want to think about. So that meant she was thinking of her nervousness. This was to be her first gathering as deputy. She would be put in a new perspective to the other clans. She would be meeting the other deputies as well. That was something to look forward to.

She stopped when Pikestar did and she looked at him with curious eyes. What was he thinking? She often found herself thinking this, especially when his gaze and posture gave way to something that weren't put into words. She shook her head to attempt to clear it, but she knew it wouldn't work. It would just keep running and running, thinking of so many things at one time. God did she wish she could take a break once in a while.

Slatewhisker was about to follow Pikestar so she could accompany the leader before she sat down in her new spot when a thought was brought to her perspective. She had been thinking of this before they left camp but of course she had forgotten it in the midst of other thoughts. She turned quickly to her clanmates who hadn't yet gone to sit down and she lifted her head to look at them all. "Riverclan! Make sure to not cause chaos. I know we've been through a lot since the last time we attended a Gathering but that doesn't mean that we've forgotten common courtesy. Relax, mingle and talk, but make sure to try and make this a fun experience." She looked at everyone before padding away to where the deputies sat.

She picked a random spot and sat down, curling her tail over her paws. She couldn't remember how big the other deputies were but she was fairly big herself so she hoped she didn't come off as intimidating at first sight. She waited nervously for the other clans to arrive and a new thought popped up. She hoped she hadn't taken another deputy's spot. While she was sure there wasn't assigned places, perhaps one of them liked where she was sitting and be ticked off with her. No matter, she would simply move if asked.
