Seems like I can't shake her off easily. Daedalus thought, rather disappointed. He thought that most housecats would have enough adventure by now. Well, too bad for Lily, because he would attempt to give the most boring and vague answers one could come up with in a split second.

"Uh, no." The tabby muttered. "I'm used to being lonely. And I like it that way." He emphasized the last part, hoping that she'd take the hint that perhaps she should leave already? Although Lily didn't seem to adhere to any of this.

His voice already achy and scratchy from saying those few sentences. The tomcat coughed, trying to clear his throats of the dryness. Now that I think of it, I haven't talked to a cat for months, Daedalus thought. Except for now, of course.
