This is in the past.
[Mother] and [Father] met when both were hunting by the border. They quickly fell in love, and would have lived happily ever. But once [Mother] became pregnant, they decided to end the relationship. A queen with no defined mate constantly visiting the border would be very suspicious. So the two separate. When the kits are born, [Mother] brings one of them to [Father] telling him it was the only to survive.
