he knew it had been, from stories brought on the backs of scarred warriors and apprentices alike. fear reverberated from each and every one of their tales, sending the hairs of mothcloud’s pelt alight-- real bodies had littered that sacred ground. the very thought sent a shudder down his spine, but he purred thickly at the sound of lionsroar’s voice.

taken by surprise, though, he was easily battered by the huge tom’s broad paws. grinning stupidly, mothcloud mewed, “aah, hello!” though it was somewhat chilly, the warmth of lionsroar’s thick fur seeped into him with little-to no effort.
