A small smile spread across the queen's maw as she gazed upon her two kits. Snowyfur, being the usual, over-protective mother, didn't want her children to leave her for their apprenticeships so quickly. "You will both be amazing apprentices," the she-cat remarked cooly, her bright blue eyes solemn and sweet. Bowing her head slightly towards her young, Snowyfur gently started bathing them, with quick, brisk laps. Her bristled young smoothing out small clumps of fur, and captivating any piece of dirt that clung to the small ones' pelts. "Who do you want as your mentors?" Snowyfur queried her sons, her earspricked forward, eagerness permeating from the fluffy she-cat. The queen always wanted her sons' opinion on things, even if it didn't matter too much. Shuffling her paws quietly, Snowyfur, no matter how much she loved her kits, was desiring for her own nest again, one where she didn't have to bother about how comfortable her kits were. The queen exhaled slowly, sleepiness tainting her mind; all she could think of was her ardor to rest comfortably and peacefully through the dark, without having to get up to tend to her young.
Looking doubtfully up at his mother, Arctickit wasn't too sure he would be an 'amazing apprentice'. Being one of the smallest in the nursery, despite being one of the eldest, Arctickit knew that he wouldn't do well in his moons of apprenticeship, and that he would never amount to the cat that Snowyfur thought that he would one day become. At the question of a mentor, Arctickit merely shrugged, his kit-mind making him doubtful of ever becoming an apprentice. Though ambiguity tainted the young one's mind and senses, Arctickit couldn't help but day dream of becoming the best warrior in RiverClan.
