It had been far too long since the elder queen had taken a walk, stretched her legs and inhaled the fresh forest air. Too much had been happening; between Shadowclan finally settling back down since flood, the battle at seastones, the cut she had managed to get across her flank. Starclan, how she didn't leave the den moons because of that. Thankfully it was healing without any sign of infection and Cedartuft took it upon herself to take a walk by herself to clear her mind. The forest was alive with many smells. Prey, clanmates, plant life. Inhaling once more, she slowly lowered herself onto her hind legs until her bottom was flat against the dirt. Quiet. How she missed it. It wasn't like she disliked being a queen, no no, in fact it was her only goal in life! Just... it was nice to sometimes get away from squeals of play and attention.

Her claws extended into the hard leaf-bare earth, scratching away dirt and leaf debris as a cold breeze shook her as hard as the trees around her. Thankfully her coat was thick and warm, preventing the her bones from chilling. Sniffing wildly as the breeze rolled in, Cedartuft couldn't help but purr softly as the scent of her kits rolled with the breeze. They must be out hunting or patrolling! Perhaps they would come to her? She was almost certain that they knew her scent even better than she knew theirs.
There was no mistake that the silver bullet smelled that familiar comfort of his mother...within the territory. The question was; why was she in the territory? Cedartuft usually resided in the den, she seldom carried herself around. Honeythistle felt his hackles rise, was she okay? Cedartuft was old, but she wasn't senile. Maybe, she just needed a little exercise. Honeythistle knew that one of his weakest points was his mother. Every boy loved their mother; they protected them with all their heart. Honeythistle was no different, and the scent of his mother couldn't be more perfect on time as he took advantage of the situation by introducing Cloudstrike as one of his newest mates. Apart of Honeythistle figured his mother didn't find his lifestyle...appropriate. But, at least his mother didn't ridicule him for his sins. At least, she still loved him as one of her own instead of making him feel that he caused a sacred volcano to erupt in this family of valued beliefs. "Follow me, dove." He guided, gently, making sure to keep himself in front of Cloudstrike as he followed the humble, loving scent of his milkgiver. In the distance, he could make out her form. Watch as her fur clung to her bones, but nonetheless she was still absolutely beautiful in the silver tom's eyes. When he seen his mother, he briskly trotted towards her, using his nose to sniff around her pelt before lovingly nuzzling her like he would do when he was a small kit. "Hello, momma." He nosed her cheek, flicking his tail. "How are you doing? Are you alright? Is something wrong?" Before introductions were made, and knowing Cloudstrike was next to him, Honeythistle had to dutifully make sure that his mother was in an upstanding state of health. That she wasn't in any stressful state (especially with the recent battle that happened).
