Next, Icestar approached Croakingpaw. [ @Zesty Mango ]

"Croakingpaw, from this moment onwards you will be known as Croakingtoad. ShadowClan honors your initiative and intelligence. We welcome you as a full warrior of our Clan." The leader pressed her muzzle to the young tom's head, before moving on to Nightpaw.

She furrowed her brow as the injured she-cat stumbled. [ @Estelle ]
"I did say if you were fit to do so," She frowned. "But no matter, you're here. Nightpaw, your warrior name will be Nightshiver. Your Clan honors your...empathy and sensitivity. We welcome you as a full warrior of ShadowClan." Icestar was honestly surprised this one had made it this far. She carefully touched her muzzle to Nightshiver's head.

Next was Dreampaw. [ @hope ]
"Dreampaw, from this point forwards you will be called Dreamcloud. ShadowClan honors your kindness and optimism, and we welcome you as a full warrior of our Clan." She didn't understand how Dreamcloud managed to be so high-energy. If nothing else it made for a good work ethic.

And at last, Frostpaw and Doepaw. [ @Arie ; @bmkmb ]
"Doepaw, from this moment onwards you will be known as Doetuft. ShadowClan honors your resilience and determination, and we welcome you as a full warrior of our clan." She pressed her muzzle to Doetuft's head, then turned to the bloodstained tom next to her.

"And Frostpaw, form today onwards, you will be known as Talonstone. ShadowClan honors your ferocity and reliability, and we welcome you as a full warrior of our Clan." After pressing her muzzle to the new warrior's head, she looked to both of them. "You've earned you place in ShadowClan."

Pacing back slowly, the leader allowed the clearing to chant the new warrior's names. This was by far the largest warrior ceremony meeting she had ever held, and it made her puff with pride.
She wasn't done with the big news yet, though. She made her way back up the tree to perch upon the branch, which was much less sturdy than the Highbranch back home.


"I will not disrupt Irisflame [ @Moon Lily ] to call her over, but I'll make this announcement nonetheless. As most of you know, Echopaw has been missing for quite some time. I think it's safe to assume that she will not be returning. But as we are in a time of great need, we could use all the help we can get, which is why I will be appointing a new medicine cat apprentice of my own choice.

Ebonyfang [ @Siren Bliss ]. You've completed your warrior training, and have proven yourself loyal and fierce. I believe that you will serve ShadowClan well as medicine cat." Sure, there were cats who would have made far more sense for the role. Whiskernose, Doetuft...even Citrusflower might suit the role. But Icestar didn't want a stereotypical sensitive weakling serving as her medicine cat. No, a cat of her own blood and training would suit the rank well.
