A smaller than average siamese tom padded along the edge of the forest, gaze turned towards the town he once called his home. He knew the exact path to get to his old house, where he and his brother had stayed. Although his brother much preferred adventuring out in the woods. Cain's muzzle twisted into a small frown at that thought, eyes narrowing.

His brother... He truly did miss him. The emotional baggage hadn't quite hit the tom yet, though, seeing as he was still in shock from the sight. He could recall it clearly; Abel ventured off a lot by himself, but he didn't come back one night, so Cain went looking for him. The sun was just beginning to rise at the time, but there was no mistaking the lifeless body against a tree. It was quite a horrific sight for the tom, and he ran off, searching for answers, of course, to no avail.

Cain shook his head, clearing his head. Now wasn't the time to reminisce, he knew. He just wanted to know what had happened, or at least find some spot to stay. He wouldn't go back to his house, though; it held too many memories for him. No, he lived out here now, and he wasn't really prepared for it. The tom could, of course, go back to his friend Orion, but they didn't really have a sheltered spot to sleep. Maybe the siamese could find some sort of abandoned building or hollowed tree for the two?

With that thought in mind, Cain continued along his path, gaze trailing all around him in search for something. After a moment, his ears twitched, swiveling towards a sound he heard in the trees. He turned his head upward, only to spot a... cat, laying on a branch above. What an odd sight, he thought, blinking. He tilted his head slightly, still inclined to eye the she-cat above. Maybe she had seen something that could aid him in either of his goals. "Um, excuse me," he meowed slowly, hesitation in his tone. "This is kind of odd, but have you been around here for a while?" He nodded his head towards the rest of the forest.
