Default Re: RiverClan Clearing

Oh, Lionstorm liked the surge of attention.

It was one thing when just Rosewater approached him, but it quickly turned into a larger crowd of cats eager to help.

When Stormgaze came forward, he was skeptical-- a SkyClan cat of all things, actually being useful? But she was enthusiastic and polite, and he immediately took a liking to that. Anyone willing to ditch that disgrace of a Clan was good to him, and he enjoyed her willingness to be a RiverClan cat. "Of course you can help, Stormgaze."

With the growing congregation, he had to think quickly. "Alright, then! Rosewater [ @lacumaru] and Palmdrop [ @ItsATryp], you will be working on repairing Fallenstar's den. Make it spiffy, I'm sure Fatherstar will appreciate it."

When Foxheart explained to him he couldn't help, Lionstorm narrowed his eyes. He was capable of walking over, so he assumed he was fine to fix up a den. "Foxheart [ @Fuzzyfeline] and Honeybee, [ @Okapi] you will be expanding and repairing the nursery."

"Leopardsong [ @Teza], Pebblepaw [ @Dust], and Chestnutkit [ @Okapi], when he spoke the kit's name, he glanced at the excited bundle of walking fur. Hopefully, he was over four moons old. Lionstorm couldn't tell-- they were all too small to him. "I want you to check on the medicine cat den and make sure it's repaired. You'll probably want to expand where Shiverpetal and Shinefang have their patients rest, if a sickness breaks out we'll need the space."

Scanning the ground of cats, he carefully considered his next options. "Greenfur [ @Vermin] and Coastpaw [ @Zero to Hero], I want you two to expand and repair the warriors' den. With SkyClan now here, it's going to be crowded, so don't be afraid to stretch the den out. We might be due to dig out another hole if we can't fit everyone in it." He'd leave that up to Greenfur's discretion. Hopefully if the white warrior deemed it necessary, he'd let Lionstorm know and they could organize a new patrol to help out.

"Stormgaze [ @lacumaru] and..." as he spoke, his gaze landed on the former SkyClan warrior. He was entrusting the security of their learning youth to her, and he expected her to not disappoint him. She was his only exception to it being RiverClan only, and that was because she spilled her desires to be a RiverClan warrior. He wasn't sure about who her companion would be, not when he was left with Jerkthunder and a traitor.

Actually, he had an idea. "Mushroomcreek [ @Starfall], come here! You will be working with Stormgaze to repair and expand the apprentices' den. The same applies to the warriors', it's going to be a squeeze. Do your best, and if we need to make a second den we will." But they'd need to tell him. He was sure neither of them would let him down.

And now, that left him with a couple cats left. But he refused to allow Gentlethunder, Frostflight, or that other SkyClan tom to help.

"Gentlethunder, [ @Starfall]" he spoke his name with a hiss. "It's remarkable you're not dog food by now. Why don't you make yourself useful for once and go collect reeds by the river? If you see a dog pack, feel free to fight it off by yourself. I'm sure that will go over great." The gray and white tabby was in over his head, and Lionstorm found him outright stupid.

To Wolfspark [ @Aquilex], he regarded him with confusion. "Do I know you? I said RiverClan, not SkyClan. We don't need your help-- your Clan has done enough to ours." With being driven out by the other Clans, Lionstorm wasn't sure why they were letting them merge in the first place. It'd do the Clans a whole lot better if they were left to their demise.

And for Frostflight [ @Dust], the cat he deemed the worse offender: "You lost the right to help us when you betrayed our Clan. Get out of my sight, Frostflight. I hope being Grousestar's pawn was worth it." The fur along his spine had risen, his teeth bared back in a sharp snarl as he stared the lynx tabby down. If he didn't back down soon, Lionstorm would make him.

Fawnpaw's [ @Dipper] presence did little to calm him, and he took a ragged breath as his attention turned to his young companion. "I'm in need of cats to reinforce the camp barriers and take care of the elders' den, but until we get more volunteers I'd like it if you stood by me and looked pretty."
