Bramblefur padded out of the Warrior’s den and into the spacious clearing that was coated with warm, welcoming sunshine that made her purr with satisfaction. She was now a respected mentor with a new apprentice, Honeypaw. The brown-striped she-cat wondered how her training would go. She knew that Honeypaw was known to be a kind, adorable kitten when she was in the nursery, but who knows how she would respond to fighting or hunting? Bramblefur shook her head and padded over to the fresh-kill pile and picked out a plump thrush, laying down in the sun-baked dirt as she took small, hungry bites of her meal. Her new apprentice’s training would start as soon as possible, as the she-cat wanted to make a good first impression.
