A full sun, framed by fluffy afternoon clouds, reached golden hands below its realm. Its golden echoes barely touched the earth, a shy embrace. Birds call, their songs repeated and blended together, the occasional cricket adding their pitchy thrum. A perfect day to sun oneself.

A sudden gust of wind whistled a quiet melody through the air, and Yarrowpelt sat herself elegantly down to watch as the tall grasses bobbed up and down, up and down, all nodding their heads to the chorus. Another gust, and she closed her eyes. Her newfound peers coaxed her into bobbing her head along, barely visible, up and down, up and down.

Her nose twitched to the scent of another cat, and she blinked awake to find a pair of young eyes staring back up at her. Really, they couldn't be much older than ten moons. What could they want? Yarrowpelt tilted her head at the apprentice. "May I help you, starling?" She cooed, offering them a gentle smile.

"Hello," They purred, ears perked up. "I hope I wasn't bothering you. I'd hate to inconvenience you in any way."

Then, a subtle introduction. Or did the introduction usually come first?

"I'm Summerpaw. I haven't met all the cats in ThunderClan yet, who might you be?" They paused. Had the cat asked them a question? What was the question? Their frowned for a heartbet before instantly smiling again, not wanting to give the cat the wrong idea.
