Default SeedClan: The Anti-Clan |Sign-up|

Long ago, stood five proud clans, whose names can no longer be remembered. These clans all worship different parts of nature as their ancestors, the wind, the river, the rocks, the forest, and so on, long since losing complete and utter faith in their original creators and true ancestors, the stars.

During a harsh and frigid leaffall, the stars knew that the upcoming leafbare would be the last leafbare for the five clans as they were slowly dying out without the stars' aid. They had one last chance to save the clans, they put all their hopes into a young medicine cat who still looked to the stars and heard their voices now and then. His name was Seedfoot. Sadly, they chose the wrong cat.

That leafbare was going to be strong, death would come. Those ancestors who lived in the stars were weary, but nature couldn't talk. Only Seedfoot, who listened to the stars, could tell of horrible leafbare. Seedfoot decided to use this to his advantage after being doubted in his clan by the leader. He took action into his paws and warned all of the clans of the leafbare during a gathering but did not mention how he knew. When leafbare came and many of the cats who did not heed his warning died, cats of all clans slowly started turning to him for leadership for he had predicted something not even their med. cats, the forest, the river, or any of the so-called ancestors of nature had seen.

The praise, the power, and the sense of responsibility, slowly grew within Seedfoot for the cats believed he was gifted with the ability to see into the future. And when a fire ran through the forest, killing those of his clan who refused to follow him, Seedfoot had already expected it. The stars had warned him even though they had known this was wrong, that this warrior was meant to save the clans, their last hope. But he put his thoughts into his actions, and started Seedclan after the fall of his former clan, declaring it at the final Gathering.

Many cats followed him when he led them away from the old clans to find territory he could claim as his own. And when all the other Clans died in the seasons to come, Seedclan remained, but when the stars refused to acknowledge Seedfoot's clan nor his right to be leader, he abandoned them. He instead welcomes the starless from the Dark Forest. Seedstar was granted recognition for his clan after promising to worship, follow their guidance, and never mention the old clans again. The Clan has remained strong and unrivaled, SeedClan greatly relies on comradery and are one of the most loyalty Clans to ever exist. However, a division happens when StarClan returns to their skies with a new clan behind them.

Skyreacher: To the left a behemoth of a mountain rears up over the landscape. Due to its size and proximity, nightfall comes swiftly during Leafbare. The mountain seems to swallow up the sun.

Littlestone: To the right of Skyreacher is a smaller mountain known as Littlestone, that rests slightly to the right of SeedClan.

The Great Divide: Directly in between Skyreacher and Littlestone is the Great Divide, an opening between two mountains, into the unknown beyond, where SkyClan came from.

Twolegplace: Nearly right beneath the Skyreacher is a large cluster of twoleg dens where a town sits. Behind the town, and right between Skyreacher and the town is a large lake frequently used by the town for fishing and swimming.

The Waterhole: A river known as the Crystal River runs from the top of Littlestone and pours into a nice waterhole along its edge. Due to the waterhole being the only and closest source of water beside the Twolegs Lake, it's shared equally by everyone in the area... Until Seedstar decided otherwise.

The Territory: Often known as the Cloaked Forest. They live in a beautiful shadowy area of the forest, where the long hills around them give them the heights of speed. The forest itself is thick with trees blocking out the sun's golden rays. In harsh times of leafbare, they reside in hole-digging animals, which include rabbits, moles, and in the darkest leafbares, fish from the twoleg lake. Around them, spooky wolves, angry foxes, crying hawks, and howling coyotes are our main fears. Other animals that don't hurt them are the deer which are commonly found around the forest.

The Camp/Stoneden: A formidable and eerie castle that sits near Littlestone, and is closest to the waterhole, north of SkyClan. It's in ruins, with very few creaky wooden floors remaining and several of its huge walls crumbling apart. Even in its sorry state, it stands resolutely against the weather, a testimony to the building prowess of Twolegs. There are several rooms in the castle, places for nesting, eating, and meeting with three different levels, more than large enough to fit SeedClan and then some.

Pool of Souls: Hidden deep within a dark cave sits a pool of water illuminated by a cluster of rocks with glowing luminous moss. The glowing moss in the pool makes it look as if the water is pitch black, though the water is strangely warm to the touch. The waters do not move but remain still and as silent as the shadows themselves. This is where SeedClan goes to speak with the Starless of the Dark Forest.

Burial Chasm: To the east, the earth breaks off into a large pitch-black chasm that marks SeedClan's border. Water can be heard flowing within it. The dead are dropped into the chasm and given a burial here where they are often thought to return to the pool of souls to hunt with the Starless. As if to give back to the Clan herbs are known to grow abundant here.

Twisted Trees: To the west a large clearing with a pair of entwined trees, commonly known as the lovers to the younger cats, rests. Rumor has it that lovers who leave their claw marks in the tree are fated to be together forever. The clearing is often filled with wildflowers and lush grasses, a great place for hunting. Marked as one of SeedClan's borders.

Dead Hollow: To the south there once sat a river that dried up leaving a sandy bank and several small trees dried up and dead. It marks the border between SeedClan and SkyClan.

Religion:
SeedClan believes in the Starless of the Dark Forest. Those still among them from the old clans were sworn not to speak of old clans again, they are SeedClan's past nothing less and nothing more. The cats in SeedClan, both new and old, are taught that the ancestors among the stars turned their back on SeedClan, and abandoned them when they needed them most.

SeedClanners are told that those among StarClan are hypocrites, who decided to forsake the Starless for their supposed bad decisions and ambitions, yet gift traitors and dictators the right to lead with nine lives to kill and slaughter clan cats as they please.

They are taught that StarClan doesn't truly care about SeedClan, and that to go to StarClan when one passes means that you are too weak and unworthy of the Dark Forest. True SeedClan cats know that they will rest in the Dark Forest with the Starless when their time is over.

Spirits of the Starless lack the power to grant leaders nine lives like StarClan. However, they can bless leaders and grant them the ability to steal and rip out up to nine souls from any cats of their choosing and take them as their lives granting them up to ten lives. Once nine souls are taken the blessings are gone. Cats who have their souls stolen are never granted peace among the stars or starless, they simply fade out of existence when the leader takes their soul.

A few moons ago, newcomers settled into the forest by the name of SkyClan. Distrustful and uncertain, Seedstar and a patrol left to meet them. Upon hearing the tale of how they came to come here and of their journey, Seedstar welcomes them to the forest and sets a border between the Clans, splitting the territory in two, the north belongs to SeedClan and the south to SkyClan.

A fragile peace between the two clans until recently when Seedstar went back on his word to keep the Waterhole, the Clans' closest source of water, as neutral grounds. On top of that the older leader's mental health has been declining rapidly.

So in case you're wondering, SeedClan is identical to a regular clan, they just worship and follow those of the Dark Forest (I call them Starless) instead of StarClan. They're also a bit crueler and slightly closer to a cult than a clan, as cats can bring sacrifices(check out religion) to their leader to show or prove their loyalty to them.

SeedClan does not trust or take kindly to SkyClan after learning that they follow StarClan. They are often openly hostile and quick to start battles with the opposing clan at every turn. Few feel sympathy for SkyClan with the decision of the water being recanted.

So this Clan was made solely to give my other Clan, SkyClan: Revival, another group/Clan to interact and compete with. So this plot will revolve around SkyClan and SeedClan.

Seedstar, super old, is on his last few lives and is slowly losing his mind. He's been declining for some seasons and the members of SeedClan have been well aware of it. Seedstar's sister, Blackheart, used to be Seedstar's biggest supporter. She followed her brother when he decided to lead them from the old clans, turning her back on her mate and taking her kits, Cougarkit and Lionkit, with her.

She knew she made the right choice when the old clans perished and SeedClan remained. When her brother was made leader, she assumed he'd make her deputy as it was her right to rule at his side as his biggest supporter. But he made another his deputy, confused but not disheartened, Blackheart focused on rearing her kits and aiding SeedClan to the best of her abilities.

Seasons pass, her kits are now Cougarfang and Lionfrost, and SeedClan has lost its deputy. Surely this time, no, another warrior is given the rank of deputy. A rift slowly builds between the two siblings, Seedstar and Blackheart. Moons pass and the deputy is found dead, mauled by wolves, a new one is named that is not Blackheart. Throughout Seedstar's reign, he would go through over seven deputies, as Blackheart continues finding ways to kill them without getting caught one by one until Ghostlily takes over as deputy, a former outsider who was adopted by Seedstar.

Outraged and disgusted at how low her brother has fallen, Blackheart's rages draw the attention of a rebellious member from the Dark Forest. Those of the Dark Forest are pleased and content with having a clan to guide and guard that belongs to them. The sense of responsibility, of being heard, respected, and listened to has caused many of the spirits in the Dark Forest to come together to hold and safeguard SeedClan. They take their job as ancestors of SeedClan seriously enough to warn Seedstar to "beware of the blackhearted who will bring ruin to your clan". The reason Blackheart had never been deputy is due to this warning.

However, not everyone in the Dark Forest is happy with this arrangement. Some are simply there to cause chaos, and that is where Slysnake comes in. Unhappy with how content the Starless are, Slysnake seeks out Blackheart and together the two come up with a fake prophecy that Slysnake gives to Seedstar, who in his failing mental health, believes it. Seedstar decided to exile all of the true clan-born of SeedClan and cast out a large number of clanmates and his deputy and medicine cat apprentice, much to Blackheart's delight.

In case you don't wanna read that wall of text.
Seedstar, on his last couple of lives, has been having trouble with his mind, slipping in and out of reality for several moons, he is paranoid and mistrustful, yet refuses to retire. Seeing his frail mind as a weakness that can be exploited, a Starless, comes to the leader after the leader dies in his sleep from a stroke. He gives the falling leader a prophecy, one that sends the clan and the cats spiral out of control as Seedstar starts exiling non-clanborn cats, including his deputy and med. cat apprentice.

The older leader is unware that his sister, Blackheart, who always believed that she'd serve as Seedstar's deputy, has been murdering SeedClan deputies in secret for seasons. Her hatred for her brother reaches a boiling point when he decides to appoint Ghostlily, a former outsider as deputy instead of one of Blackheart's kits, Cougarfang and Lionfrost, who are true Clanborn warriors.

Blackheart schemes with a discontent member of the Dark Forest, Slysnake, and together, they create a fake omen. They manage to convince Seedstar to exile all the non-clanborn within SeedClan leaving SeedClan without a deputy and medicine cat apprentice. Ghostlily, the former deputy, takes those who decide to continue following her to SkyClan's Territory, while Blackheart schemes to secure the open deputy rank for one of her kits, Lionfrost or Cougarfang, unaware of the pandora's box she just opened for her Clan.

You are either Clan-born with two full SeedClan parents or you are not. There is no in-between. Non-Clanborn will have the option to return to SeedClan later.

So the history of the old clans (and names) is/are not set in stone nor are the names of the deceased deputies of SeedClan, if you want to have relations to the deputies or ties to the old clans in your history go ahead, I'll just let you know if I don't think it fits or won't work.

Since this is going to be a decently plot-driven clan at the moment, HRs are going to be chosen based on whether you fit a certain role over who signs up first. So if you looking for a certain HR put it in Rank wanted, not Rank so I know which cats are interested in the rank. Doesn't mean you are guaranteed to get it.
