"Okay, I won't let the hare strike me, thank you for the warning," she meowed, giving Basilcliff an awkward smile. Her white claws slide slowly out of their sheaths. The hare, spooked, began to run to the left, but Wrenpaw steered the animal to Basilcliff. Using her claws as traction, she slid about, making sure the creature was lead straight into the warriors claws. "Basilcliff, coming to you!" she yelled.

Basilcliff wiggled her haunches in preparation, watching as Wrenpaw, quite skillfully, guided the hare toward her. She squinted her eyes, claws unsheathed and digging dimples into the ground as the hare beat closer. Her ears perked as Wrenpaw called out, and with one fell move, she unfurled from her hiding spot. She struck close to the ground as she leapt forward, paws outstretched and digging into the rabbit's flank as she made contact. There was a short tussle as the prey and hunter flailed, and then Basilcliff quickly nipped the hare's neck and it went limp after one last spasm.
"Whew, great job!" She beamed, sitting up and shaking any grub from her fur.
"You'll be a great hunter once your a warrior." She nodded enthusiastically, gnawing the dirt from her claws before sheathing them. She looked thoughtful for a moment, staring down at the hare they had just caught.
"Do you want to head back?" She asked, looking to Wrenpaw with a tilt of her head.
"This is a pretty good catch." She nodded down to the hare.
