Character of the Month (April 2023)
Welcome to Character of the Month, a feature designed to recognize two characters who deserve kudos! - x - x - x - x - Using the form found at the bottom of this post, you may nominate two Main Roleplay characters you think deserved to be featured! Please use one form per character - they should not be in the same form.→ How It Works! ← For the sake of giving every character a chance, avoid nominating cats who have already been nominated for the month. Nominations will be held for approximately 3 weeks, ending on the 22nd. Once it ends, a poll will be posted displaying the names of the characters who qualify for voting. Users can vote for as many characters as they want to be recognize, provided it is not their own character. It is discouraged to vote for every character listed, as only two will win. If two characters have the most votes, but they are roleplayed by the same person, the winner will be picked by staff based on the nomination reasons, and the second winner will default to the next highest vote. Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: ShadowClan Why should this character be featured?: Mirehound is such a dynamic character. She's unwaveringly loyal to her Clan, strong, smart, and disciplined, but she isn't lacking in human (cat?) emotions. She feels grief for those who are lost, protectiveness toward those she cares and/or feels responsibility for, and has an unbroken bond with her siblings. Seeing her and her littermates roleplayed together and the care they display for each other is heartwarming. But Mirehound is a ShadowClanner to her core, and she will serve them with every bit of ferocity within her as a warrior, an Enforcer, and a Clanmate. She's rich and realistic, and tallulah roleplays her so well. :heartbounce: Character Name [mention user]: Leopardsong ( @Moonraven ) Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: WindClan Why should this character be featured?: I've had a lot of experience with Leopardsong because of her slow burn with Wolffang, and I love everything about her. Her personality is so unique and fun: She's sarcastic and witty with a head that drifts toward the clouds and a passion-filled, emotional heart, but she can be serious when the time calls for it. She isn't one to let herself get used or pushed around; she stands up for herself and has meaningful, in-depth conversations when they are required. Leopardsong genuinely loves and cares about her friends even if her friends hate each other, and she's good at keeping the peace or at least stopping a fight from breaking out. She's so full of unique, rich, interesting traits, and she's developed so much from that first RP where she jumped on a very tense, very not-so-good Wolffang. Leopardsong has helped him develop for the better, sticking with him even when no one would've blamed her for walking away, and she's always willing to help others despite having some rather tragic life events, some of which are shrouded in shadow. Moonraven roleplays her so well, and I always look forward to seeing her, especially in her interactions with Wolffang. Every RP they have is fun and meaningful, and I'd be lying tremendously if I said I wasn't excited for them to become mates at last. :heartbounce: |

Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: ThunderClan Why should this character be featured?: This young warrior/queen is just an angel. A great new mate for my cat Sharpeye and the most protective cat you would ever meet. She has an eye like a hawk, sharp hearing, you name it. She deserves to be remembered for her bravery and loyalty to ThunderClan. Character Name [mention user]: Cowtuft ( @x ghostie ) Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: WindClan Why should this character be featured?: Young for his age, the perfect medicine cat for WindClan. I love this cat for his determination to help his Clanmates with healing and soft nature. I can't think of a better cat to heal WindClan than him. Loyal and brave, willing to take risks if it is to save his Clan, Cowtuft, originally known as Cowpaw, should be remembered not just for being WindClan's medicine cat, but also for his other traits. |

Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: ThunderClan Why should this character be featured?: Sharpeye was injured and unable to become a warrior at such a young age, kind, determined, and loving to Weepingwillow <3. Sharpeye has been through a lot and has many more moons that Weepingwillow would love to share with him. He should be honored by Thunderclan for everything, good job little caretaker <3 Character Name [mention user]: Berryfrost ( @Rose Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: Windclan Why should this character be featured?: She is a very timid and small molly but even with her terrified state. She saved Smallwing from a vulture and even killed it! Saving her clanmate and any future clanmates or even kits that might have come across it in the future. She is brave for doing what she did and I think she is a very good asset to Windclan. good job little kitty <3 |

Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: RiverClan Why should this character be featured?: Oh. My. Gosh. I love Silversnow more than I love oxygen, she is one of my most favorite cats on WCO. Her big heart and quick wit makes her a very enjoyable character to read, and she's very realistic and well written :heartbounce: Character Name [mention user]: Lilycreek @sol. Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: RiverClan Why should this character be featured?: If I had to pick a list of the best cats on wco, Lilycreek would be high up on that list. She's such a good character, her care for all the kits in the nursery is so admirable, and she's an absolute badass, how she can power through almost anything is truly amazing. She the best forever queen ever, and she's literally like the mother of RiverClan. i am the proud president and ceo of the official lilycreek fanclub, and i can confidently say that the fanclub probably involves most if not all of wco. |

Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: ShadowClan Why should this character be featured?: Cougarivy is such an entertaining cat to read. She's quite odd, but in the best way possible. Her unsettling attitude isn't too far removed from the personalities of many others in ShadowClan, but yet she feels like an incredibly unique character. Ravensong does a great job roleplaying her! Character Name [mention user]: Flameheart ( @SpiritedWarrior ) Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: ThunderClan Why should this character be featured?: It baffles me that Flameheart has not won COTM yet. Spirited has put so much effort and love into this character, and it really shows. She's fiery, strong-willed, and very loyal to her Clan. She has flaws, like being too dead-set on some of her ways and too impulsive for her own good, but these flaws make her feel more realistic. I love well-balanced characters! |

faction: thunderclan why?: This guy. He makes me giddy. Before, he was just so refreshing to read because I rarely ever read characters anywhere like him. Now? There's even more to like now that I've gotten to know the character. He's just so sweet and I feel like all my problems would be solved if I had a friend who acted just like Rabbitchatter. He's the purest definition of good, no matter his past. He acts so nice to ThunderClan's kits, and it's so adorable. If/when the guy has his own kits, it's going to be so nice to read about that because, already, Rabbitchatter is a wonderful father figure. From what I've gathered, he doesn't let much faze him nor deter him from trying to make friends with the whole entire clan. He might be sticking his nose into a beehive (figuratively), but he just wants to know about cats' lives! And his low self-esteem plays into his character well, and that's super nice as well because I love how it twinges my heart. Rabbitchatter makes for a compelling cat to read about, understand, and love. |
