the year is 1054.
kings and queens have ruled for a great deal of time, bringing an order to the land they own. battles have been fought, lost and won. rule was brought across the kingdoms, but now a new threat arises.
peace has been broken. the kingdoms are falling apart. people are freeing themselves to turn against each of the kings, and even their queens (or male lovers) have broken away. nobody knows what has suddenly happened, but the order of the land is at stake, as well as their rule.
witches cast spells along the castles, creating ghastly creatures to bring the kings from their thrones, beheading them just as they did to those who committed a crime against the rules of the land. those who broke away riot outside of the kingdoms, seemingly hypnotized by their sudden anger. swords are drawn, the knights are turned, and none of the kings are safe.
they must now put aside their differences to work together and fight away what force has driven their kingdoms to be destroyed. each one sits among a broken throne, crumbling with every second. now, there’s no going back.
nobody is safe. nobody can escape.
and nobody will make the kingdoms fall.

the introduction is pretty self explanatory, but i do have a few rules before anyone applies for a role.

i. please try to post as much as possible. yes, writer’s block can be a pain, but when you are given only one sentence to reply to, it can make that writer’s block worse.
ii. do not spotlight! everybody that is accepted will be important to the roleplay, so do not leave anybody out.
iii. nobody is perfect; neither is your character. do not make any mary / gary sues.
iv. do not powerplay / godmod. that just isn’t fair to any of the other roleplayers, nor is it fun to keep on with the roleplay if you kill some huge monster with only one hit while you have a tiny blade, for example.
v. please refrain from focusing on the aspect of romance within this roleplay. it’s not always appropriate to be confessing your love for someone in the middle of a battle.
vi. make the names appropriate! the year is set far, far in the past, so i’m rather sure that the kingdoms would not use names that are used only in modern times. some examples of olden names are george, elizabeth, henry, ect.
vii. make appearances appropriate! if you need to, do your research. it isn’t such a terrible thing to just learn some facts about medieval times.
viii. if it is to difficult to make your character speak in the ways that people did back in this time period, then you don’t absolutely have to.
ix. as always, all site guidelines apply.
x. do not copy, paraphrase or even have an idea about anything from this roleplay. yes, of course, you can make your own kingdom roleplay, but it must not have anything to do with what the plotline of this one is.
xi. please do not quote any posts. it makes the roleplay thread cluttered, and that isn’t very pretty.
xii. keep all ooc speaking to a minimum.
xiii. stay as active as possible.

rules may be subject to change.

there will be a limited number of roles to choose from in this roleplay. you may have as many characters as you can handle, but only one can be royalty.
