Tortoiseshell she-cat with yellow eyes

The young molly listened closely as she got into the seemingly same crouch position, “yes ma’am…” her voice drifted off a bit but now that she thought of it, maybe this wouldn't so bad.

"starclan wanted me...yet you refused me!"

Lostpaw padded beside a few tree's looking hard for herbs. her ears flattened as she sniffed up something gross and she snorted. "moss...." she scowled. she then lifted her head, smelling something he knew was marigold. or...at least she thought. when she found it she picked a mouthful up and turned to look around. "mmm." she gulped as she retraced her pawprints back to camp. Mossfreckle would be happy! right?

She didn't bother scenting what he was tracking, so long as he found something to hunt.

Her gaze trailed after him and watched as he located a mouse. He moved fast when he pounced, snatching up the mouse and killing it before it had time to react. "Not bad," The leader commented after she jumped out of her tree and stalked up to him. "You're quick and quiet, hide that and come with me. I want to see how you do in the wetlands." Dawnstar growled, leading the way to the muddier part of the territory where more of the frogs reside. They could go to the swamp, but Dawnstar didn't feel like walking all the way there.

"I wanna see you catch a frog, it is often primary prey for ShadowClan." Aside from the fact that the ground was harder to hunt on, wet and muddy, frogs were slimier than other woodland prey making keeping hold of them difficult, they tended to blend in with the grass and mud, and they hopped. If cats didn't slip and slide in the mud, having a frog suddenly come flying at your face could be startling. Dawnstar wanted to make sure that Cryingelk could hunt in the marshier parts of the territory.

Cryingelk(19/100)

Cryingelk twisted his body around quickly when he heard Dawnstar behind him his fur bristling. Once he saw it was Dawnstar, his fur lay flat and he sighed in relief. The apprentice nodded and dug a small hole to drop the prey in then buried it. Cryingelk padded after Dawnstar quickly, keeping his ears pricked and his senses alert. He felt mud sunk in between his toes, a grimace painted across his face. He glanced at Dawnstar and noddedz opening his mouth to let in the scents of his new home.

Cryingelk balanced his weight as he slowly stalked across the muddy floor. He felt like he was walking in gross, fox-dung filled water. He saw a frog and stop dead in his tracks, his eyes fixed on the frog. It had it's back facing to him, and he stalked forward, stopping whenever it moved. Cryingelk got a fox-length away when the frog saw him, leaping away. The tom shot forward, slidding a little bit before slamming his paw down onto it, hooking his claws in it's skin and pulling it backwards. With a short hiss, he snapped his teeth around the creature and killed it.

Re: ShadowClan Territory

Chestnutfeather had just left the ShadowClan camp with Mistlewhisker, the pair having decided to go out on a hunting trip. Chesnutfeather agreed to go because he wanted some time out of camp, to be honest. He got easily agitated when he had nothing to do, which was his situation for the majority of the day. So when Mistlewhisker suggested they hunt together, he happily agreed, despite his usual grumpy nature.

"Which way should we go?" He asked his hunting partner, stopping to look around the forest. He spoke quietly and gently, as he didn't want to scare any potential prey off even if they weren't hunting just yet.

Mistlewhisker needed out of camp, and she needed to hunt. She desired to feel something crack and break under her paws, and what better way to do that than hunt? It was beneficial, efficient, and made her feel like she was actually doing something rather than sitting around camp arguing with cats who couldn't have more than a single bee for a brain. She had ordered the first warrior she saw to accompany her. Normally, Mistlewhisker liked to hunt alone. But with the threats cropping up in the territory, it wasn't safe to hunt alone anymore.

Mistlewhisker swiveled her head to look at Chestnutfeather with her good eye, then around at the forest around them. "Follow me." She meowed, not waiting for him before setting off in a brisk pace, tail lashing behind her with pent up energy. She was headed towards an alcove she knew with plenty of hiding spaces for prey.

And predators, as they were about to find out.

When they arrived, Mistlewhisker parted her jaws and scented the air for any prey. The air was permeated with something... sour, however, and it made the fur on her spine stand up. She looked over her shoulder at Chestnutfeather. "Stay alert." Slipping further into the copse of trees, Mistlewhisker stayed low to the ground, scenting around each alcove for prey and predator. The sour scent seemed to fade after a while, and Mistlewhisker's concern was pushed to the back of her mind when she heard the skittering of tiny mouse paws in the undergrowth nearby. Dropping into a hunter's crouch, the enforcer stalked the creature before leaping on it with a powerful blow, killing it instantly. The thrill of the kill hardly assuaged her anger, though. Huffing, she started to bury the mouse so she could continue hunting, but a low snarl behind her had her whirling around and coming face to face with a pair of glinting eyes hidden in the shadows.

Mistlewhisker froze, staring at the hidden creature. She said nothing, only let out a low warning growl to hopefully get Chestnutfeather's attention. It seemed like this creature--whatever it was--was not pleased with them catching prey where it had evidently made a nest. Well, she wasn't happy it had made a nest where they were catching prey!

Mistlewhisker caught the creature's scent again, and her eye widened slightly. She... recognized it. Vaguely, but she still did. Mink. It had been all over Dawnstar when she returned from the patrol she had injured her shoulder in. How had they gotten this far into the territory?? Just as she opened her mouth to call to Chestnutfeather, the mink sprung from it's little den, colliding with Mistlewhisker with surprising strength and sending her sprawling to the ground. She yowled furiously, digging her claws into its sides and hurling it off of her, springing up to her feet to meet it head on as it clashed with her again.

The brown tom nodded when instructed to follow, lagging behind for a moment before picking up the pace and catching up to the enforcer. He didn't question where she was leading him as he wasn't in the mood for conversation. He wanted to get out and get in a kill in, without any annoyances. Luckily, Mistlewhisker was as quiet as Chestnutfeather wanted her to be, only speaking to him when necessary. It worked for him perfectly.

Chestnutfeather stopped when Mistlewhisker stopped, eyeing the alcove they were now near. He opened his mouth and drank in all the scents all around him, trying to hone in to focus on the scent of any prey. He wasn't having much luck, though, and the scent of mouse that he had finally caught on to- Mistlewhisker already snatched up. He made a sound of annoyed approval as he stood back up from his semi-crouched position, beginning an attempt to search for something else, but he noticed a change in his hunting partner's body language.

"What?" Chestnutfeather asked stupidly in response to the growl, not seeing the predator that was nearby. A wave of the scent of something filled his nostrils, and he suddenly felt a chill down his spine. He was too far from Mistlewhisker to react immediately, and by the time he reached her the mink had already collided with her. Panicking but trying to keep his cool, Chestnutfeather swung his claws at the back of the mink as it was facing Mistlewhisker, causing a deep blow to it but also catching its attention in the process. He felt a strong bite on his side as the mink turned around at him and he yelped loudly, thrashing around to try to get it off of him. "Get it!" He shrieked at Mistlewhisker, attempting to reach over and claw at its head.

Mistlewhisker leapt out of the way as Chestnutfeather clawed the lone mink, catching its attention and recieving a bite on his side for his action. When he yelped for her to grab it off of him, Mistlewhisker dug her claws into its side, dragging it off his flank and throwing it to the ground, slashing its nose and face with sharp claw, trying to disorient it. It was too quick for her to get a good bite on it, so if she could just get it disoriented...

But the creature was still to fast, slipping away from her and shrieking hatefully before lunging at the pair again. Mistlewhisker batted it away, towards Chestnutfeather. "Try to grab it!" She ordered.

Chestnutfeather felt relief as Mistlewhisker tore the mink off of him, but he could also feel blood trickle through this fur down his side. He couldn't worry about his wounds this instant, though, as they still needed to deal with the predator before both of them got seriously hurt.

He watched as Mistlewhisker clawed at the mink's face and got an idea that would help them both significantly. When she flung the mink back towards him, he tackled it and smashed his paws into its face, digging his claws into one of the creature's eyeballs. It retaliated by clawing deep into his underbelly and he quickly leapt off with a loud hiss from the pain. The damage was done, though; the creature could no longer see properly. That would be disorienting enough for Mistlewhisker. He signaled to the she-cat with his head to deliver the final blows, as he began to feel weak from the wounds he got in the battle.

Re: ShadowClan Territory

Honeybite trots through ShadowClan's territory, eyes flickering around the trees that surround her and the apprentice. The threat of the lynxes might have passed, and Dawnstar might have promised that the minks seemed to only be guarding the border to RiverClan, but she was taking no chances when it came to the possibility of an attack.
She valued both her own life and Midnightpaw's, and if she could steer clear of any obvious signs of a threat, she would. There was, obviously, nothing in the area, but with the recentness of both events.....
It never hurt to be cautious.

She clicked her tongue when she felt they were in an area suitable for their lessons, the tip of her tail curling upwards in a silent gesture to halt. The red and white bi-coloured warrior then turned to face her temporary charge.
"We will stop here for training."

Fallemoon gave a gentle sigh as he padded out. Not bothering to wait for his clanmemebers, honestly the deaf Tom just had a stuffy nose and could smell if they were near and went out. Fallemoon had gotten the feel and Mothcloud had shown him the plant, she taught him to identify the plant by touch he appreciated the help from his adoptive mother Mothcloud. Fallemoon flicked his tail and he touched his paw gently around. Sniffing as much as he could, after a bit of searching he flicked his tail and ran it over a small cluster of dandelion flowers. Picking them up he continued padding gently, running straight into the borage plant which shot it's puerperal blue flowers into his ears. Fallemoon hissed as he carefully but angrily picked two stalks. He stood beside the Borage plant for his clanmates to see.
