Character of the Month (August 2023)
Welcome to Character of the Month, a feature designed to recognize two characters who deserve kudos! - x - x - x - x - Using the form found at the bottom of this post, you may nominate two Main Roleplay characters you think deserved to be featured! Please use one form per character - they should not be in the same form.→ How It Works! ← For the sake of giving every character a chance, avoid nominating cats who have already been nominated for the month. Nominations will be held for approximately 3 weeks, ending on the 22nd. Once it ends, a poll will be posted displaying the names of the characters who qualify for voting. Users can vote for as many characters as they want to be recognize, provided it is not their own character. It is discouraged to vote for every character listed, as only two will win. If two characters have the most votes, but they are roleplayed by the same person, the winner will be picked by staff based on the nomination reasons, and the second winner will default to the next highest vote. Character Name [mention user] Beanstar [ @vellichor ] Character Faction [indicate if outsider] RiverClan Why should this character be featured? Oh my, where should I start? Bean is a pleasure to read, and the way he thinks just has me hooked, and I always want to read more of him. He has gone through so many losses, and so many successes as well. A former kittypet, that has no claws and one eye, worked their way up to leadership. Beanstar's journey has been so long, and yet it has only begun. My favorite part about Bean is probably his soft spot for kits. It is so cute with the way he acts around him, and the many nicknames he probably has. His posts always have me glued to my seat and wanting more. I cannot wait to see what his leadership of RiverClan has in store for him, and he definitely deserves COTM! |

Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: WindClan Why should this character be featured?: SLAY! No but seriously, although she’s been around forever, TwilightStar still happens to be my favorite of the leaders with her gentle nature and her empathy towards everything. While being vulnerable with those around her, she still happens to be a strong, respectable leader and character. TwilightStar is amazing which is why I nominate her. |

Why should this character be featured?: i've only had the delight of interacting with sparrowfur for a short time but she's such a fun character to write with!! writing yarrowcrest and sparrowfur together really does feel like they've been best friends for a long time, even though we've only just begun writing them together! her dramatics and upbeat demeanor is so pleasant and the way she's written is so fun to read and reply to! <3 |

He's the perfect gentleman, and just an absolute joy to read. He's traditional and loyal to his Clan, and the way Jay writes him is so interesting and refreshing to read. Character Name [mention user]: Pebblesplash @Sakura. Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: RiverClan Why should this character be featured?: Pebble's unique and interesting arc over the past few months has been nothing short of attention capturing and touching. Her determination to be seen as more than a sweet, pretty face, her loyalty to RiverClan, her heart of gold, and the way she takes charge in rocky situations makes her a character that's easily loved and interesting. |

Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: RiverClan Why should this character be featured?: I love the way Minkkit interacts with the world around her like it is a living thing and not just empty setting filler. The way she personifies the stars, the sun, and the moon not as objects but as beings that can speak, cry, and feel and that communicate with her is so unique! And it's so funny to read her being her weird and mysterious self and then one sentence later says the creepiest thing you can imagine as if it were nothing special. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do this but I just want to link to one of my current favorite posts of hers. I think it perfectly showcases who Minkkit is to those who haven't met her yet. [Link] |

Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: ThunderClan Why should this character be featured?: Wildtwist is awesome. He has much personality shown in his posts! Bean_The_Cat is also a great roleplayer with skills sometime I wish I could fit in my posts. I like the length, bite-sized and Wildtwist is shown to his fullest! The combination of the two makes it nice to read. Character Name [mention user]: Frogpaw - @Sakura. Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: ThunderClan... again. Why should this character be featured?: Eeeeeee! Frogpaw is amazing oh my gosh how do I explain!? Frogpaw is a lengthy worded brown apprentice and her cult is cool. Sakura.'s writing is beautiful and a wonderful length. I love her relationships, her everything really and the pair deserve a win <3. |

Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: Shadowclan Why should this character be featured?: From the very first post I ever read of her to now, Larkfire has not let me down when it came to entertainment. It seems like she's a bit mature for her age, but that honestly just makes her a better character if you ask me. She's a diligent cat, who doesn't flinch away from danger and a great warrior who'd lay down her life for her clan. On top of that, can we talk about how mch she cares for her clanmates |
