The voices of the Night
Claimer: This plot has been accepted by starfall / Fallenstar :heartbounce: Stella -> Nightkit -> Nightpaw -> Nightgazer 5 moons at start of roleplay (Her page will be up soon, sorry about that. Traits would be: Kind, caring, gentle, shy, loner, worryhead, weakling, doubtful, easily manipulated) Stella is a young kitten, living with her family in a secluded twoleg home close to the Thunderpath and forest. Stella’s mother, [Frida], is a white young mother with just a few gray splashes between her ears. Stella, being a completely black kitten, doesn't resemble her at all. She was the only of her litter with such a coat, revealing how their [Father] must have looked. Stella’s [Littermates] all looked like their mother, making Stella the odd one out. Stella’s owner was an old Pagan woman, whose religious Christian family no longer wanted contact with her due to her beliefs. Zöe, the old woman, was alone with just her cats as company. She had been very surprised when [Frida] all of a sudden had turned out to be pregnant, and instantly decided she would sell the kittens once the molly had given birth. However, once Stella was born, Zöe decided to keep just her due to her black pelt. Her [littermates] were soon put in the newspaper to be sold. However, Zöe’s old age got to her after having sold three out of four, leaving the weakest of them all, [Thorvald], behind. Zöe peacefully passed away in her sleep. A few days went by, and [Frida] got restless and worried. There were no more food left in the house, and she still had two kittens to take care of. So she decides to do what seemed like the best option, and took the kits outside and traveled towards the woods. They traveled for a while, not meeting any cats face-to-face, but saw glimpses of them in the distance. [Frida] was too paranoid and decided to stay out of their way. Thus without knowing it, she kept the trio from wandering into Clan territory. After days of traveling and struggling to stay alive, the trio reached the sea, much to their surprise. As they couldn't go forward any longer, they decided to follow the shoreline. Soon, they arrived by a river, and [Frida] decided it was a good place to rest for a few days. And so they did. At one point, when [Frida] was out hunting, and [Thorvald] was asleep, Stella decided to explore. This is where role-playing starts. Stella followed the river a bit, and suddenly got the idea that she would catch a fish. This went wrong. Instead of catching a fish, the young kitten fell into the river and soon got swooped away by the current. As she unknowingly gets closer to RiverClan, she hits her head hard on a stone in the water, and falls unconscious. Upon waking up, a [RiverClan cat] stands over her, licking the young kitten somewhat panically to bring her back to life. Stella is alive, but weak, and with no memory from the past. It seems the hit from the boulder shook out any memories from the past, including her name. [RiverClan cat] asks for her name, and when the kitten doesn't seem to remember, [RiverClan cat] decides it's best to bring her to the Clan, where the kitten is put into the nursery under the care of a [Queen]. Here, the [Queen] asks her name, and upon realizing the kitten has no name, the [Queen] gives her the name Nightkit, for her pitch black pelt. Over the next moon, [RiverClan cat] and [Queen] takes care of Nightkit, assuring she comes to good health again, and at last asking if she wants to stay, where her answer is an instant yes. [Queen] also starts to realize something is off about Nightkit: She doesn't seem to sleep, saying she's afraid of ‘Hawk’ who apparently comes to her at night and torments her. If you've read this far, please put ‘Night is so puny’ somewhere in your form, however preferably not in the other section, but hidden so it is not obvious to other appliers who read past this. This makes Nightkit stay awake for days before fainting due to lack of sleep, and sleeping for at least half a day. In reality, Nightkit has a form of Schizophrenia, and has one voice so far. Nightkit spends one moon in the Clan before she's deemed ready to become an apprentice. [Mentor 1] starts out liking Nightpaw, before [Mentor 1] finds it too annoying that the apprentice doesn't sleep much, and is fatigued and exhausted on most days. Two more voices ‘arrive’ during this time, a good and a neutral. Finally[Mentor 1] gets enough, and tells Nightpaw to find another mentor. From here there's two options when it comes to mentors. Either [RiverClan cat] decides to take over, becoming [Mentor 2], or it's another cat who has watched Nightpaw for a while Nightpaw developes another voice, taking the form of [Mentor 1]. This one shows itself physically to Nightpaw, making her confused as to who is who. Later, [Mentor 1] doesn’t show up in the Clan anymore, believed to have disappeared. [Cat 1,2&3] starts thinking this was Nightpaw’s work, believing she has killed [Mentor 1], but [Mentor 2] knows that Nightpaw was out cold from lack of sleep when the disappearance supposedly happened. Rosepaw starts out doubting Nightpaw as well, and watches her from the distance, soon realizing that she's tormented by invisible cats. [Cat 1,2&3] makes a little gang with the goal of making Nightpaw appear as a killer and bad cat. Later, Nightpaw is confronted by [Cat 2] in the territory, and they have a fight, both of them becoming a tad wounded. Nightpaw returns frightened and completely out of it, and flops down into the apprentice’s den. Rosepaw approaches her and asks her what's going on. In a fit of blind trust, Nightpaw explains everything to Rosepaw, including how she herself is doubting if she killed [Mentor 1] or not. The voice keeps tormenting her and telling her she is indeed the killer. However, Rosepaw believes her and decides to protect her at all cost. Later, [Cat 2] disappears, and the blame once again goes to Nightpaw. However, [Mentor 2] and Rosepaw stands up for her, chasing away [Cat 1&3] who is determined to prove Nightpaw as a villain. From here on, Nightpaw lives in torment from her voices and [Cat 1&3], but eventually makes it to her warrior ceremony. Rosepaw sticks close to her still, supporting her through whatever obstacles may come her way. This is NOT first come first serve, however if I find a specific cat perfect for a role, I'll be accepting them straight away Roles NEEDED: RiverClan cat - Has to be above warrior age Queen Mentor 1 - Player decides what happens to their cat, be it accidental death, kidnapping, or they've just had enough of Clan life Mentor 2 Cat 1,2&3 - Can be any age - Player of Cat 2 decides what happens to their cat, be it accidental death, kidnapping, or they've just had enough of Clan life OPTIONAL roles: Frida - Has to be above 20 moons Thorvald - Same age as Night Father - Has to be black as night and above 20 moons, can be of any loyalty/home Littermate 1,2 & 3 - Same age as Night, can be of any loyalty/home I've been thinking of a future plot for her as well where her mother finds her again but Night remembers nothing and so on, but this all depends on the roleplayers if any. Re: The voices of the Night
Name: Rosepaw Role: Cat 4 Age: 7 moons Gender: Male Appearance: look at the baby Personality: Rosepaw is never really satisfied with what he does, even if it’s perfect, he’ll continue to tweak it for no reason other then he didn’t think it was good enough. Because of this, he often goes out a night, which leaves him tired during the day. In the event that he does get enough sleep, he acts slightly more ‘feminine’ then one might expect for his age/gender. Despite always shying away from any kind of affection or complement, he still cares about the cats near and dear to him, even if they’ve done horrible things to him in the past. Other: None Questions: None Why'd this cat be good for this role?: Rose has a big heart for those he believes have done no wrong, even if they’re mean to him, while he might recoil, he will always be kind and listen. Doubts can rise in him from time to time, but all in all, he tries his best to be there’s for anyone that needs him RP sample (HAS to be from the main roleplays!): |
Re: The voices of the Night
That's an instant accept ^w^ |
Re: The voices of the Night
Name w/link: Tawnyflower
Role: Riverclan cat/ Mentor 2? Other: If I'm accepted, I noticed it said the Riverclan cat could become mentor 2 if wanted, and I would like to become mentor 2 as well. Questions: Am I right about the mentor 2 thing? Why'd this cat be good for this role?: Tawnyflower is very caring and sweet. Upon finding the kit I have no doubt she'd do all in her power to help it. Since Night is so puny and young, she will be able to get over her initial awkwardness. Also, though she may have trouble standing up for those she cares about, her good nature would push her to get over this. RP sample |

Re: The voices of the Night
Name w/link: Coralear Role: Mentor 2 Other: If she's not chosen as Mentor 2, she could also be the Queen. I'm planning to have her become pregnant sometime, so this plot might be a great opportunity for that. Questions: Will she get more personas as she grows older? I'm just interested in how her Schizophrenia will develop over time. Why'd this cat be good for this role?: I think Coralear would be good from this role, because she's always felt motherly over younger cats. Her personality suits the role well, and although Night is so puny, she would be able to cope with it. RP sample (HAS to be from the main roleplays!): |
Re: The voices of the Night
@mompaws I'll go ahead and accept Coralear as the queen, since I'm waiting for a specific cat to reply for mentor 2, but if said person doesn't want to apply after all, I might as well accept her as Mentor 2 a well. She'll definitely develop more voices/personas. I intend on having her slowly defeat and 'kill' her personas one after one, trying to 'replace' them with kinder ones. Which also is a reason as to why she thinks she killed Mentor 1 and Cat 2, cause she tried to defeat these personas looking like them shortly before the actual cats went missing |
Re: The voices of the Night
@Spirit Alright, thanks! I look forward to participating in your plot (: Also! That sounds pretty crazy -- a good crazy, I suppose. I love how you've thought about this, and I'm genuinely excited to see it all play out. By what you've said, I'm guessing she'll grow to still have some of the crueller voices, but mainly kind / positive ones. Not too sure; so feel free to correct me! |
Re: The voices of the Night
Name w/link: Minnowheart
Role: RiverClan cat Other: Minnowheart already has an apprentice, so Mentor 2 would have to be a separate cat. @Spirit Questions: None Why'd this cat be good for this role: They are very motherly and loves to take care of others, feeling that it is their responisbility to care for others. They wouldn't mind a new addition to the clan. Becuase Night is so puny (*cringe*), Minnowheart would enjoy taking care of her and helping her out. Overall, their personality seems to fit with the role they play in the plot. RP sample: -Link- (Tried to keep it really recent) |
