October Gathering

Abstain from posting here until your respective Clan leader has arrived.

Leaders may post their entrances here, but please redirect your roleplay to this thread until the battle has begun.

Keep in mind no character should be aware of the Dusk Syndicate's presence until the attack has been launched. They should be preoccupied by either their own conversations or Blazingstar's declaration of war.

Unless told otherwise by a staff member, Dusk Syndicate characters should hold off on posting until Blazingstar's announcement and Halite's order to attack. During this time, you may want to seek out battle buddies using Character Resources.

Re: October Gathering

The Windclan leader strode towards the Seastones. He had lost a life recently and with the help of Surgestorm, he had been recovering from it quickly. Although the weakness was still visible from the fur that clung to a frame that was starting to fill again. Only Surgestorm knew of the loss, however. The rest of Windclan didn't have a clue. For all anyone else knew, Blazingstar still had his full 9 lives.

With each step, it was clear he was a mission. There was a fire in his golden gaze that wasn't normally there. Windclan knew exactly what was going to happen tonight, it was hushed information for the moment. Tonight all the clans would know what Snowstar had done. Tonight was the make it or break it for the two clans. He only hoped Starclan wouldn't stop him on this mission.

Wavesplash padded into the clearing, near the front of the group, fluffy tail held high. Her muzzle was pointed to the sky, a rare smile sporting her angular features. Her blue-gray fur, soft as always, shone in the moonlight. Her sat near the edge of the clearing, claws sheathed. She wasn’t to fight yet, after all. Not until her leader, Blazingstar, gave the declaration. She swiped her tongue along her fluffy white chest, flattening her ears.

She fixed her pale blue eyes on the heavens above, starlight reflecting in her irises. ”Oh, StarClan,” she murmured, voice barely a whisper as she addressed her ancestors. Her mouth was barely parted as she let out a soft sigh, finally finishing her prayer. “Please, let us be doing the right thing.”

Weaselcloud trotted in, a warm smile sitting on his pale ginger face. He layed down in the broad clearing near a patch of trees, dappled in cold moonlight. There wasn't much to do, except for wait until the other clans make their way here. Weasel felt his eyes close slowly and a soft breeze of cold weather rush down him slowly as he relaxed underneath the trees and drifted off, without noticing himself.
I just hope nothing bad really happens, I'll be alright then

@CandyFlossCat
Hawkfeather padded along with his clanmates with his amber-hued eyes trained on the path before him, his tail lashing behind him with each step that he now took further. His heart was pounding within his chest and honestly, he didn’t know what to think at this very moment. The young warrior’s claws flexed underneath him, snagging grasses and kicking up loose dirt as he continued on his way. This was far from any normal Gathering that was about to greet them, drama and so much more brewing within the cats around him now. In the past, he usually enjoyed going to Gatherings, being able to talk with Flintheart, Pinwhisker and Sproutwhisker, his dear friends from other clans. Oh, Starclan, was Sproutwhisker going to be here? He had heard that his mate had just given birth to a new litter of kittens after having a quiet chat with Pinewhisker on the borders when he had been on a border patrol. He hoped not, the thought of the black-furred tom getting hurt, if this were to somehow go wrong, made his fur prickle with uneasiness. Despite him not even being apart of this drama, he still worried about his friends. Hawkfeather shook his head, his ears pinning against his head. He glanced at Carcalspirit, who was now walking beside him as they headed forth. “Maybe you should’ve stayed back at camp..” He murmured to his mate, his tone thick with worry, “We don’t know what’s going to happen tonight and I don’t want you to get hurt.” His first priority, even before his close friends, was his beloved Carcalspirit. He hated having even the slightest image of her getting hurt if one cat were to have an off mood about what was to happen under the moon tonight. He gave a small sigh, though, knowing he was worried about everything too much right now. Hawkfeather hoped to let things go calmly and perhaps, on the slightest chance, things would go right. His ears twitched as he lifted his head to look up at the stars with his eyes sparkling with various emotions that were far from easy from being explained.

Birdsong stepped into the Gathering clearing. Her heart was racing. She missed the gatherings.

Buddy sat in the clearing. This was his first gathering as a Windclan apprentice. Birdsong padded over, "Dont worry, Blazingstar will tell the other clans of your arrival." She purred, giving his ear a swift lick.

Re: October Gathering

Goldenstar had finally made his way to the seastones. For the past couple of gatherings, he hadn’t gone, preferring to stay in Shadowclan and watch the other cats in case something happened. That was always how he had been, and, with the flood, it proved slightly useful. However, he was the leader now, and needed to stop living in the past. That was what he told himself always.

The leader knew he was the newest in the bunch, and he didn’t really know what to say about why Halestar was gone. Did saying the honest truth make Shadowclan look weak? He didn’t know. She had just...left. She had ran away, never came back, hasn’t been seen since then. Hearing the murmurs of other cats, he decided to finally walk into the clearing.

Maybe it was just his anxiety, or something else that was stupid like that, but he felt as though something bad might happen tonight. He shook it off as him overreacting to just being a new leader, but what if his superstitions were correct?! What if there was some kind of attack? What if he accidentally said the wrong thing? That wouldn’t happen, he told himself, pushing through the cats somewhat calmly now.

Rosenose padded into the clearing, relieved that another queen was taking care of her kits so she could be at the gathering. She looked around the oceanside cliff, smiling. It's beautiful, she though examining the surrounding's. She quickly spotted Goldenstar. Ever since he had chosen Haflgaze as deputy, Honeythistle disliked her talking to him, or even being near him. Though Rosenose secretly thought it was because Goldenstar had saved her life in the flood; not Honeythistle.

Rosenose padded a bit closer, wanting to speak with the leader, to at least say her gratitude. If she had died, her kits would be dead, and though Honeythistle had other mates to comfort him, RoseNose suspected he would feel grief. She shook slightly and tried to clear her throat to speak, nervous about whether Honeythistle would see her.

“So, Newtpaw, how’s training with that new mentor of yours been going?” Blackfrost asked the small apprentice as the two of them followed the rest of Shadowclan on the way to the gathering, “You’ve been with them for, what, a moon now? Are they treating you well?” The black-and-white-furred shecat had seen the munchkin as a close friend of hers for a few moons, the both of them occasionally sharing a piece of prey and acting almost like a motherly figure to Newtpaw these days. “Oh, things have been going great!” Newtpaw purred, giving a small bound on her paws, “Raspberrybubble really sees the potential in me, I believe, she thinks I’m quite good when it comes to my fighting training. I’ve learned so many cool new battle techniques.” She said this with a happy purr stirring from her throat, her skinny tail waving behind her, “She’s very kind to me, despite my shortened legs and such, but that’s beside the point now.” Blackfrost glanced down at the small shecat, with brown and white fur, “You shouldn’t be seen as different because of your legs, Newt. There are many cats out there that have similar or even worst things to deal with and they’ve become great warriors.” She mentioned, “You’ll be an amazing warrior someday, I know that with all of my heart.” Newtpaw looked up at the larger shecat for a moment in silence before giving a lightened nod. “You’re right.” As the two of them finally reached the Seastones, where all the clans would gather, they could already see Windclan in the area. “I’m gonna go see if Ferretpaw is at the Gathering.” The munchkin remarked to Blackfrost, “I’ll see you later, Blackfrost.” She bounded off into the open area under the light of the moon as the shecat watched in a blissful silence. “Such an innocent youth, it’s such a shame that cats give her such a hard time because of her appearance.” Blackfrost murmured, shaking her head before turning to her mate, Crowhawk. “Where should we sit at the Gathering tonight, love?” She asked him with a warm smile as she gave him a softened nuzzle, “I chose where we sat last time, this time we can go wherever you want.”

"Wavesplash.", Blizzardfrost meowed, his deep voice sounding a bit odd, croaky to be exact. The WindClan tom felt weird talking to her. The lithe, tall, and white tom sat down next to the she-cat. His ice blue eyes, gazing around the clearing before looking back at Wavesplash.

Zenithwhisker padded into the clearing. Hopefully she could talk to her son. The cream and white she-cat hadn't talked to Slatestone in a while. "Slatestone, could you come here, please?, the Maine Coon asked.

Re: October Gathering

Russetbird padded into the Seastones, in the mass of fur that was ShadowClan. He watched as Goldenstar hopped onto the Seastones, noting every anxious move and ear twitch that the leader made. He laughed to himself and wondered why Halestar had chosen the tom. Of course, he loved Goldenstar as leader and respected the late Halestar’s opinion, but he was just very stressed and nervous all the time. He knew that Halfgaze gently balanced out the leader’s actions, making him a perfect deputy for Goldenstar. He sighed and sat down, pushing his urge to be deputy and leader one day to the side, knowing that the cats in charge were the perfect match.
He then turned his mind to the young medicine cat, Daypaw. At first he laughed when the cat was appointed medicine cat despite their young age, but he had seen how well the cat preformed. The young cat had plenty of experience and he respected them because of this. He looked up at the Seastones and noticed that WindClan had already arrived. He shuffled uncomfortably as he remembered how tense WindClan and ThunderClan were. He was glad, for one of the first times, that he wasn’t leader and didn’t have to deal with all the drama between Clans.

WindClan
Grimsight wandered into the clearing, his gaze unfocused. He muttered something to himself, padding over to the edge of the clearing. Finding a spot on a smooth stone, the ragged-furred tom cat sat down, wrapping his tail aroun his paws.

Eburneanpaw bounced into the clearing, excited as always. His paws huzzed with energy; he was really looking forward to the gathering, looking around for someone to talk to.

Ebonyleaf padded into the clearing, her eyes bright and shining with calm. Her flank was gleaming, having been freshly groomed, and her claws unsheathed. She knew thee was no fighting, and stuck strongly to that rule.

Prairieflight padded slowly into the clearing, his brilliant gaze watching the Clans in the clearing. Hi s tail twitched, and the tom slowly made his way to a small bush. Rather than approach a cat himself, he decided to wait and see whether any cat would talk to him.

ShadowClan
Smallpaw padded through the entrance, his black and white pelt slightly ruffled. He looked around once, seeing that they were second to arrive. Blinking, he hurriedly over to the edge of the place, looking out at the water, his gaze unreadable.

Greywhisper trotted in behind Goldenstar. He glanced around casually and slunk between his clanmates, small tail tip flicking back and forth. He hadn't been to a gathering for a while, and was actually looking forward to it for once.

Greywhisper looked over at the tom, realizing what he said was true. He had often noticed the looks the two clans were giving each other, and he though, personally, that Blazingstar looked rather worried, as though something was bothering her.
"Yes," he meowed, twitching his whiskers. "StarClan will get angry if something does break out."

He snorted. “I don’t think they care about StarClan at this point. I say they’re on the verge of war.” He looked around. “I wouldn’t be suprised if they started fighting tomorrow, to be honest.”

Wavesplash pricked her ears, swiveling her head to face the cat addressing her. She hoped it wasn’t anyone hostile. ShadowClan has arrived, but what did WindClan have against them? She hoped they’d become allies if battle was imminent. She didn’t know what to think of ThunderClan, though. Unlike most of her clanmates, she didn’t know whether they were telling the truth and someone was stating it all, or to hate them. If it was the former, Who, and why? The latter, well... they were going to war anyway.

“Blizzardfrost,” Wavesplash sighed with relief. She noticed a slick crack in the tom’s voice and wondered. This wasn’t really normal for Blizzardfrost. Or so she thought. She hadn’t really been around him long enough to know him well. Her dark blue hues darted around the Gathering area, watching ShadowClan arrive. She finally made eye contact with Blizzardfrost, giving a small smile. Her fuzzy tail curled around her paws as she grasped with what to say. “I... I don’t know about going to war, honestly,” she finally stammered, petting her fears out.

Russetbird laughed. “Yeah, that’s for sure. I’m not fighting for cats that I don’t even know. That’s their problem, not ShadowClan’s.” He smiled and lashed his tail.

Once Newtpaw had bounded away from the watchful eye of Blackfrost, the small apprentice bounded through the sea of cats of different clans with an excited bound in her step. She wondered if Ferretpaw was around for her to talk to, having not talked to the dark-furred tomcat since the last Gathering a few previous moons ago. Much had changed since then, but the shecat still saw him as a friend of hers to call her own. The two had bumped into each other at the Gathering and immediately became good friends, which made her smile. However, to her dismay, he didn’t seem to be around for this one, which made her ears flatten slightly. Since Lionpaw was not with her tonight, the apprentice now realized that she was all alone. It was a sign to young Newtpaw which meant that she had to be more social and try to make more friends. As she came to this conclusion, the munchkin's eyes landed on another apprentice, who looked rather excited and hyper as she was. They must’ve been from Windclan, considering that she had never seen them before. She bounded over to Ebureanpaw with a polite smile resting on her maw. “Hello there.” She purred with her long tail swishing back and forth behind her, “My name’s Newtpaw. Is this your first Gathering?” The apprentice asked, tilting her head to the side with curiosity sparkling in her lightened blue-hued eyes. She then noted of the other apprentice that had come over to talk with them as well. "Oh, I'm sorry to intrude.." The young shecat mewed, taking a few cautious steps back. Newtpaw wasn't the most social and confident of cats, wondering if approaching these two was a good idea afterall.

The small apprentice was relieved when the tomcat showed signs of friendly behavior and didn’t mind her being over here, despite being in different clans too. “I’m Newtpaw.” The shecat repeated with a slight purr coming from her as she spoke, “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Eburneanpaw. This is actually my second Gathering, but it still feels like my first one.” She admitted this with a softened chuckle as she sat down beside the other two apprentices, her tail curling around her paws. Perhaps she would make more friends tonight and things would go better than expected. This apprentice seemed to be kind enough to be friends with and so far, he didn’t point out her shortened legs or made fun of her. “It sure is a beautiful night out tonight. The stars are so bright up there.” She mentioned, lifting her gaze to look up at the marvelous night sky that stretched out overhead, bathing the area in a soothing moonlight.

Re: October Gathering

Halfgaze stepped into the clearing after Goldenstar, looking around at the same old meeting place with new wonder. Everything looked the same, despite her new position, but for the first time in all of her trips to the gathering, Halfgaze simply couldn't keep her gaze away from the leaders' rock. One day, she would be up there, and the thought sent chills down her spine. Halfgaze was certain she wasn't ready to be a leader, or even to address the four clans from the meeting rock. But, she was still a new deputy and she would learn and by the time it was her turn to speak from atop that looming rock, she'd be ready. The thought of Goldenstar dying, however, made the tortoiseshell so sick that she had to imagine him retiring instead. For now, she let her daydreams go and focused on the milling cats about her, happy with the way things were at the moment instead of wishing for time to move faster as some deputies might. Scenting the air, the new deputy deduced that only Shadowclan and Windclan were present at the moment. Good, I still have some time to figure out where to sit. The new deputy was pretty sure that deputies had their own place, but she wasn't sure where it was. Halfgaze dreaded being absent from that place during her first gathering as a deputy. I'm hopeless, she thought with a frown and a desperate gleam in her eyes, how do I expect to be of service to my clan if I can't even figure out where to sit? For the moment, the tortoiseshell decided to simply sit near the front of seastones and keep an eye out for any deputies she recognized in order to follow or ask them.

(here we go!) ( @Charmer ? Only if you want to roleplay here )

Rosebelly entered the clearing, taking in a deep breath. Scents mingled around her, almost making her dizzy. Soon, she recollected herself. Rosebelly glanced around, analyzing the other Clans. ShadowClan looked calm and were idly chatting with WindClan. WindClan, on the other hand, were not calm. As soon as ThunderClan entered the clearing, several cats were shooting them glares. Something big was going to happen. She just knew it. Swallowing, Rosebelly padded further into the Gathering, and settled down.

Alliumeyes bounded into the clearing, eyes shining. This was her first Gathering as a warrior! Dirtpaw no more! Alliumeyes took in all the scents. WindClan and ShadowClan were here. Alliumeyes completely ignored the fact that WindClan was eying ThunderClan suspiciously, and bounced away.

Morningblue followed along with Thunderclan, his pelt prickling with unease. Tonight was the night they would find out if Thunderclan's disastrous trek into Shadowclan territory in search of prey would yield the consequences he feared. He watched as Snowstar took her place on the stones with Blazingstar and... it seemed Shadowclan had a new leader, or Halestar was ill. The crowd in the gathering seemed to crackle with tension. He spotted Rosebelly getting situated in the crowd and padded over, sitting beside her and shooting her a glance that he meant to communicate warmth, but there was worry in that green-eyed gaze.

Cherrydawn padded in on the tail end of the Thunderclan warriors, trying to hold her head high, but her heart felt heavy. In spite of her best efforts, as Thunderclan entered the clearing and she saw that Windclan was already there, the ginger and white shecat looked for Skyfeather in the crowd...

a chestnut tabby tom trotted towards the seastones, his bulky tail swishing against the ground. he turned his amber gaze towards his fellow windclan felines, nose twitching with thought. small pawsteps were taken as to bring himself closer to the gathering. his breath was slow, ears flicking calmly while he searched for someone to talk to.
the tom, by the name of nightwhisper, sat within the bustling cats around him and awaited the approach of another feline. his tail flicked as it curled around his frozen frame, a quiet sigh released from his open maw. nightwhisper spun his head slowly, scanning the gathering. he observed the chatting cats around him, paws carefully kneading the ground. it was a way of concentration, he told himself, whenever he was lost within his thoughts he subconsciously began to knead to ground.
he itched to run from the seastones and explore the area, spine tingling and paws twitching. night mumbled to himself, an incoherent form of words bumbling from his throat. he looked around once more, breathing growing heavier, yet still soft. the chestnut tom flattened his ears and began to count his heartbeats as they pounded by, unaware of the tension between thunderclan and his own.

Boulderpaw padded into the clearing, bored. I don't want to be here! I'd much rather be eating dry kittypet pellet food right now... the ShadowClan tom didn't bother to socialise with other cats as he brushed past ginger, silver, brown, black every colour under the sun pelts and he sat down next to a bush on his own just rolling a stone between his paws waiting for the gathering to start.

@Charmer you want to do a Nightpaw and Snowpaw roleplay? I think we've duplicated Ambercloud and Thistlepaw too much already, lol

"Me neither...", Blizzardfrost replied. He just hoped he wouldn't have to fight any of his friends from the other clans. I don't want to think about fighting Zenithwhisker, Pathfinder, Silvernose, or Ashenfur.. Our loyalty will always be with each other and our clans.... They're my friends.... But, we might have to fight.., the white furred tom thought. Blizzardfrost sighed.

Rosebelly heard Morningblue pad beside her and sit down. She turned her head to meet his gaze, worry evident on her own. Frowning, she spoke up. "How've you been? Anything new happen?" Rosebelly began to relax. Chatting with friends was good for a tense situation like this. Suddenly, Rosebelly was brimming with excitement to tell Morningblue about her apprentice's warrior ceremony. Forget WindClan, it's time to catch up with friends, even if they are from the same Clan.

The golden tabby practically skipped into the opening, his fur shining as brightly as the sun itself, a huge smile plastered on his maw. He loved gatherings, he loved meeting new felines, new potential friends. He had met a few aquaintances here, most of them Windclan, which made him incredibly happy. He happily made his way to a open spot and sat himself down, his ocean colored hues danced with excitement, yet at the same time they gleamed with worry. The pure anger that had been happening between Windclan and Thunderclan worried the tom, he had many friends in Windclan, and he was positive that the two clans wouldn't be able to handle it if a war broke loose, especially with so little food the two were finding.
Dayhum wrapped his tail around his paws and twitched his little pink nose, watching all the felines around him with curiosity, wondering who would pad up to him and strike up a conversation. Someone he knew, or would it be some one new?

[Shc]
The pale colored feline was already sitting right below the mound where the leaders meet, his bright, big, curious eyes watched Snowstar and Blazingstar intently, any feline would have to be a mouse-brain to not notice just how much the two disliked each other. He shook his head and let out a sigh, his ears folding against his head and his tail wrapping around his paws, he didn't like it when leaders couldn't get along, it spelled trouble for both their clanmates and the clans around them, Blazingsky just wished they could see that.
Recently the warrior had been trying his hardest to help around the camp, feeling as though he has to make up for something he had done, which, in all honesty he couldn't think of a single thing. For a bit he just supposed that his paws were itching to move, itching to do something other than walk around all day in the clearing. His sapphire hues grazed the opening, looking at every single feline for only a few seconds, he loved gatherings, but he hated it when clans brought their hatred with them.

[Wc]
His clan was the first clan here, which didn't surprise him, after all that's how Blazingstar worked, he preffered to be early rather than late, which sits fine with him, he just wished he didn't have to wake up so early. The muscular feline let out a yawn and licked his chest fur, trying to get his mind off of how sleepy he was, which he was very sleepy, he had to watch the camp for the night, which he was very happy to do, but he would have loved to get some sleep as well. The Siberian tom lashed his tail and looked up at Blazingsky, his sky blue optics lingering for a moment before be brought them down and looked directly infront of him. He didn't have an opinion on the two leaders behavior, or, well he did he just wouldn't say it because it wasn't any of his business, not yet atleast, but it would be if it was decided that the two were going to fight.
Sleepingcloud was a pacifist, he wouldn't lift a claw to harm another unless that feline had slaughtered his whole clan, but even then he wasn't sure if he would harm that feline. Though he is a warrior, and he is loyal, and he would die for his clan, he wouldn't harm others just to prove how loyal and strong he is for his clan, there are other ways to prove that.
