"I'm right here." He whispered softly in her ear. "And I won't leave." The rainwater coming through made him shift to block it, as he licked the water that landed on her away, purring next to her. "No sir, Starclan themselves couldn't make me leave."

When she was struggling with her dreamscape, Blackfrost felt him against her and her tense position relaxed as he licked her, soothing the demons within her mind that prevented her from a peaceful slumber. A gentle smile slipped onto the she-cat’s muzzle when Crowhawk whispered to her, making the female calm down and the nightmare slowly faded away. She could feel his rumbling purrs as he licked the rainwater from her face and Blackfrost purred as well, buried her face in his neck and finding his scent to be the most wonderful smell in the forest at this moment. This is the most sleep she had probably ever gotten, perhaps because of the comforting touch of another that could chase away the terrors and fear within her head.

Seeing her calm down, he smiled. Glad he could help in any way he possibly could do for her." Her purr relaxed him from the slight stress he was feeling right now. The rain had been lighter now, but he knew this would only continue soon before the next wave hit, hopefully after she woke. It looked like he wouldn't sleep for a while.

Blackfrost seemed content in her slumber and to be honest, she would stay like this forever if she could - with the tom-cat that she loved and the rain peacefully coming down outside now as they laid together. There seemed to be without a care in the world at the moment and the black-and-white furred female could only make this calming atmosphere last as long as it could. Her chest heaved up and down in a small, relaxed manner for a few minutes until her eyes seemed to flicker open and a slight yawn seemed to stir from her stomach. Blackfrost, however, made no sound and just rested her head against her mate in a sense of quiet as she watched the rain pour down only a few pawsteps away from them. She was warm and sleepy, all sense of stress and fear gone for at least a little while longer.

Crowhawk watched the rain fall lightly, knowing it would be heavier soon, but he never worried about the future and he always stayed in the present. He was tired though and was about to fall asleep when he heard her yawn and he looked at her. Seeing that she was awake, he gave her a few licks just to comfort her as she woke up. He didn't say anything at the moment, just because he wanted to enjoy this nice moment that they probably wouldn't have for long.

The rainstorm was merely background noise at this point when she smiled at his comforting licks as Blackfrost was slowly easing out of her half-asleep state of mind. She wondered how badly the Shadowclan camp has been wracked by the storm, but knowing how bad the weather has been for the past moon, the warrior knew that her clan would be alright considering all they had gone through. She looked up at Crowhawk with a soft smile on her maw and with a twitch of her whiskers, she gave his muzzle a comforting lick. “You should get some rest yourself, you know..” Blackfrost purred, rubbing her muzzle against his neck in an affectionate manner, “You deserve a good nap right now, don’t worry, I’ll protect you while you sleep.” She teased him, playfully, a softened chuckle rumbling from her. The she-cat’s tail swept back and forth along the ground behind her as she thought about many things.

Crowhawk looked up at the sky, writing wondering about the clan. Was everything alright over at the camp? When she said he should get some rest, he shook his head. "I'll be fine." He told her ignoring the last part, flicking his tail in her face playfully. He honestly just wanted to get back to camp before something really bad happening. But luck is never on his side and the rain started getting better. He sighed at this and looked at her. "What do you want to do?" He asked wanting her input on the situation.

Blackfrost giggled a little at the playful flick of his tail in her face, making the she-cat smile up at him with a sense of affection in her deep green-hued eyes. She looked out at the storm that was much more calmer than before and when he asked what they should do now, the warrior pondered for a moment, thinking about many things for a few quiet seconds before glancing at her mate. “I suppose we should head back to camp.” Blackfrost mentioned, her whiskers twitching silently, “We have been out here for quite awhile now, haven’t we?” She blinked at him with a playful smile on her maw, thinking to herself about how it was worth being out here - they wouldn’t be as close as they were right now if it wasn’t for all this.

He watched and waited for an answer from her. As he did he shook his head to stay awake. Even though it seemed they were safe for now, he was still on high alert for any danger. Hearing they should go back to camp, he nodded. "If you think that is what we should do, then...." A big yawn cut him off. "Then we should go." Camp was Where he wanted to go to check out camp to see if any damages were caused by the storm.

Blackfrost looked up at her mate for a moment, thinking about something before smiling and nodding to his words. “Sounds like a plan.” She purred and heaved herself to a standing position, her paws were heavy from laying down for so long and the she-cat uttered a wide yawn of her own, stretching out her front paws. The she-cat looked out to the gentle rain, much more relaxing and calm now that she truly observed it. “Come one, bee-brain.” Blackfrost purred, giving the tom a lick on the tip of one of his ears before padding outside, her long-furred soon becoming drizzled with soft raindrops and she breathed in the fresh air of the forest around them.

He nodded back and stood up, stretching and yawning again. He flicked his ears at the rain that landed on his head and followed her out, rolling his eyes as he did. (Sorry this one is shorter than usual)

The long-furred warrior smiled at her mate with a twitch of her whiskers as he stood up and followed her outside and into the rain. She couldn’t help but utter a small, amused giggle at his eyeroll, going up to him and purring, touching noses with Crowhawk before heading off back to camp. As Blackfrost walked with her mate not too far behind her, the she-cat became lost in thought about the future. She wondered what having a mate would really be like? What would having kits be like? It made her smile, but she kept these future goals to herself, hoping not to overwhelm the poor tom-cat. After all, they did just become mates today and she promised to him silently that she would never ask too much of him like some mates did.

“Come on, Crowhawk. A nice, warm den awaits us back in camp!” She purred, bounding forward, “We can pick out a comfortable moss nest for the two of us to share - do you like the sound of that?” Blackfrost had never been actual mates with someone. Sure, many a few crushes here and there, but nothing serious as this. The warrior was excited, nervous and all types of emotions she could not explain, to be honest.

That had to be the first words that Chrysanthemumshade had to process, needed to accept. They heavily contrasted with what her mother always told her. Never be yourself. Why couldn't she be herself? Chrysanthemumshade wasn't that bad of a cat to get to know. She was mellow...sweet...docile...anything of the above. She didn't bother the other kits, she was always obedient, and she was independent. So, why couldn't she be herself? As the she cat bounded out of the den, and turned her head to quickly glance the outline of the large black cat. There was much she couldn't see of him, her luminescent green eyes scanned the area of the territory. Everything was dark. Night. And, though pretty, it was scary. Falling back to gingerly walk beside the tom, him truly being her only comfort. And, if she allowed herself to think; protection. "It's easier for you to say." She let out a soft sigh. She knew she was her own person. Her own cat. She knew that the world was about free will, but all that vanished. Gone from her. Stripped of her desires because she was accustomed to the fact of impressing others. To feed upon their interests in order to be liked. "You don't have to bow down to every will," she quickly glanced up at him. He appeared even more majestic than he did back in the den. His large size...the silver lining of his pelt...and that expression screamed majestic. She almost found herself awestruck, just staring at him with her hues. She was truly fascinated by the sight of him, but suddenly looked away just to keep her sight on the distance. "Honestly, it's like every cat I pass owns me." She twitched her ears, and wondered why she was even telling him all this. Maybe, she should had kept this to herself, but she did appreciate the words he had given her. They were words that she haven't heard in...oh, such a long time. The only time she was allowed to be herself was around her siblings. At best. Perhaps, no one would get a hint of that side. "Forget what I said." She laughed it off. "I don't know what came over me! Perhaps...sleepiness." Ah, she hated her voice. The way it would squeak up whenever she was lying or nervous about something.

Then, she succumbed to the dark feeling. The night. The stars. The moon. Everything was simply glowing it seemed! It made her pelt tingle. Especially with the added breeze. She soaked in the scents, and half-consciously stepped closer to Wolfglare. The first reason to know he was still there. The second reason to get added heat to her own pelt. "I don't think this should be a one-time deal. I should have access. Like all the time." She purred, playfully. She was definitely enjoying his pelt. Soft, puffy, and gentle. Thick, and cuddly. Could she stop herself? She was pretty sure that any other she cat would be doing the same thing. Just the thought of that made her recoil. Yet, she didn't know why exactly it made her feel that way, but with any other emotion she usually felt, she brushed it aside. It was something she became a professional at upon her mother's words. Emotions were for weak cats. Easy cats. Chrys you're a submissive cat. But you're not weak. Definitely not. Was that suppose to be a compliment? What did that even mean? So, instead of trying to figure it out, Chrysanthemumshade buried it down, and she promised that she would enjoy this walk.

This cold temperature walk. Right with this tom she couldn't help, but fear. Such uncertainty settled within her, and she had looked up at him again, a sly look on her face. "But, I mean, if you find me dying of low body temperature amusing..." She trailed off, but kept a well hidden smile upon her maw. In contrast, she still kept close to him. "Terrifying things happens at night, you know." She said, lowly, and swallowed a lump in her throat. The night had always scared her. Especially when it was storming. Chrysanthemumshade could recall when she was a kit, and she would hide behind Cloverwhisker for protection, despite being the older sister. It wasn't like she could go to her brother, who had been made an apprentice before they were born. Even if it weren't cause of the bad weather, Chrysanthemumshade found the dark to be an endearing frightful place. Things lingered in the shadows. Only so much her eyes can catch. Things happened in the dark. Enemies were found in the dark.

Chrysanthemumshade pressed herself closer to Wolfglare. Her shivering was definitely still there, this time not because of the large black furred tom, but more so because of the night noises. Little critters. Annoying crickets. Croaks of night birds that made her coward in a corner. As they continued walking, The grey she cat snapped opened her eyes. I can't appear frightened! What if Wolfglare finds me to be a coward? A real life coward not suited for clan life! Her forestry hues danced around, displaying with discomfort. Here she was, slinking into the desperation of what her mother made her become. All Chrysanthemumshade wanted to do was impress Wolfglare. She assumed he wouldn't like coward cats. Just look at the size of him! He wasn't scared? He amazed her, honestly. If only she had met him at the right time before she allowed her mother to manipulate her. Now, that she was well accustomed to this life...it felt wrong not to live it.

Chrysanthemumshade pushed--forced herself away from the tom's pelt. The first thing to showing bravery was holding yourself up. She wasn't a kit. She definitely wasn't his mate. She didn't even know if they were friends or not! She needed some type of sign to be dubbed as such. And, since she didn't receive that sign, the she cat figured she didn't impress him much as she had wanted. "Not to me, though! Because, I'm brave!" She felt the chills of the night. It practically made her teeth chatter for a moment, but it wasn't that extremely cold. She knew she would survive. So, she continued on. Her small paws making a light trail. Slowly, she felt that she could get used to this. Chrysanthemumshade wasn't used to prowling the territory at night so much. She seldom would be found in the night because she was...in fact, afraid. She tried not to show this. She wanted to prove that she didn't need Wolfglare's comfort or protection. She didn't need anyone's!

Her tail flicked behind her, and her whiskers quivered. The only thing she needed to stop was her shivers. "Stop it! You shivering ball of fur!" She hissed under her breath at herself. For a tad moment she completely forgot that Wolfglare had been her company. The only thing she hoped was that he didn't notice her. That would be embarrassing. She lightly giggled to herself until she heard another noise. It was a crackling sound from some far away animal, but it made her jump until she was trailing along Wolfglare, keeping close to him as much as possible. At least she had that warmth again.

Now, that was embarrassing... And she thought insulting herself was. Clearing her throat, she pressed herself close to him. "So, um...why do you like to go for walks at night? I know it's probably because it's more cooler for you..." She trailed off, flicking her ears. "You don't find yourself worrying about anything? Like, oh I don't know, anything jumping out at you?" She mused lightly, then stared down at her paws. She glanced quickly over at his, noticing the large form of them. What did he have to be afraid about? Chrysanthemumshade knew a cat like Wolfglare wouldn't be afraid of anything! She admired him a lot. Even just meeting him that day. She wished she had that bravery, or that power to be herself without caring what anyone else thought of her. It must be a nice feeling...she stared up again, hoping to catch a look in his blue gaze, but instead she could see the side of his face, so she looked down again. Her eyes closed for s moment, and she sunk into the tom next to her, burying herself into it as much as she could. After all, it might be a one time thing! She couldn't allow this offer to end too soon. Oh no, she was enjoying it. Though, he might think the opposite. Chrysanthemumshade didn't consider herself to be a rude cat, and she wanted to think about how others would feel. She could tell that Wolfglare didn't like to share his pelt, so she lightened up. "Sorry...got carried away...there." She said, softly, before she only lightly brushed herself against him. It wasn't the warmth she craved, but she would suffice.

@RedHead

Wolfglare breathed in the crisp night air. He was already starting to cool down, and it felt amazing to him. These were the nights he relished, the nights that made him feel entergetic and playful. If you were to catch Wolfglare alone on a cold, crisp night like this, you would really see his truly playful side. The side that loved to bound through dandelions, bat lightning bugs gently with his paws, and just all in all, made him feel truly alive. Not many things were able to do that to Wolfglare. The dark-furred tom also loved when it rained. The cold rain at least. He loved the way it seeped through his fur, cooling down every inch of his body. The way it fell from leaf to leaf, causing the whole tree to rustle with the dripping water. The wivserful music it made, dripping and dropping, plipping and plopping. Again, there were not many things in this world that this tom liked, but the rain was something else to him. Something more, something powerful. There were many things in life that sparked his bad memories and moments, but rain was one of the good things. Rain brought new life, a fresh start to everything. Whenever it rained, Wolfglare knew that things, and cats, were given a chance to be washed and restart. That's what had happened with him on multiple occasions. And that is why he loved the rain so much. It had given him multiple chances to prove he was not a cold-blooded killer. Not a supporter of evil. Not like his parents. Not his father.

Being so lost in thought, Wolfglare almost missed Chrysanthemumshade's words. But he caught them just in time, and an expression of thought came over his features. "You don't have to bow down to every will." Wolfglare studied Chrysshade, his ice blue eyes flashing with slight hurt, before his normal emotionless expression returned. "Well, that just shows how much you don't know about me." It was a vague statement indeed, but that's what Wolfglare was. Vague. Especially when he came to things about himself or his past. Those were very touchy, difficult subjects for the large tom to talk about. Or even think about. "Nobody owns you Chrysshade. And if you think that, then you might not be the cat I thought you were." He turned his head slightly in her direction as they continued walking, his stunning eyes searching her own. "Or maybe the cat I thought you were is still hiding." Wolfglare knew she was hiding something about herself, he had figured it out. The way she seemed to want to say something that corresponded with her own personality, but then those words were replaced by the cat who she was not. But Wolfglare, through this experiment, planned to figure out who she was, inside and out. He knew he'd have to earn her trust thiugh, as she had said before. Trust was a two-way path, and easily broken. He felt as if he'd heard those words before, but more as a warning than the way he heard them this time. Wolfglare pretty much ignored her request to forget what she had said. With Wolfglare, nothing was forgotten.

"Access all the time? Hmm I'm not so sure about that...." A small smirk passed across Wolfglare's face as he turned his head fully to look at the she-cat. Her pelt was glowing in the soft moonlight that filtered through the trees, and Wolfglare had to admit she looked... Stunning. Especially those eyes. Wolfglare could not get over her green hues that looked so much like his beloved forest. He looked at her for a few moments longer then necessary, mainly focusing on her eyes. Then he averted his gaze, looking around at their moon bathed sumitro dings. To him, it was beautiful. The darkness was beautiful. It was mysterious and secretive, with so many new things to discover with each step. That's how Wolfglare was himself. He was like the darkness. He was mysterious and secretive, even his pelt matched that description. But if you stepped into his comfort zone, let yourself take a risk of getting to know him, you'll know more about what lies in that darkness. And if you shine a light there, then you'll be able to see things more clearly. The only question was, who had a bright enough light to see Wolfglare clearly, for the beauty he truly was?

Her next statement caused the dark-future warrior to roll his eyes in exasperation, but an amused glint shone in his icy eyes. "Are you trying to tell me you're cold? Because of you are, just say it clearly please. And I will do what I can to help." To prove this, Wolfglare placed his tail around Chrysanthemumshade as they continued walking. The movement felt kind of awkward, but Wolfglare wanted her to trust him. And maybe, he could even trust her too. He agreed with her next words. He knew terrifying things could happen at night. He just wasn't afraid of what they might be. "I'll protect you." The words that came out of his maw surprised even Wolfglare. Did I really just say that? But it was true. He would protect Chrysanthemumshade if anything came out of the dark to hurt her. He just felt that vocalizing it seemed a little... Odd?

As Chrysanthemumshade pressed closer to his pelt, Wolfglare curled his tail tighter around her. He knew he had been asking a lot of her to come out here, in the cold with him, and he was determined to not make her regret it. Besides, maybe this was his first friend? Wolfglare had other "friends" of course, but that wasn't really the tee for them. They were more like glorifie acquaintances. Maybe Chrysshade would be his first real friend. When she pushed herself away from him, Wolfglare was quite surprised. Did I do something wrong? He hadn't thought so. At her words though, he realized that she was just trying to act brave. He shook his head and let out a small laugh. It just seemed quite funny to him, her trying to act brave around him. He was the definition of fear and bravery all in one package. But he could tell she could be the definition of teasing and needless poking fun at. Although those might be the same thing.

As Chrysanthemumshade started shivering once again, Wolfglare's sharp Jose picked up the scent of a rabbit. When the crack sounded through the silent forest, Wolfglare watched in amusement as Chrysanthemumshade jumped back towards him, padding closer to him. "Careful Chrysshade. I think that bunny was out to get you." He purred, laughter lacing his words. With how much she had teased him earlier, Wolfglare enjoyed the chance he had to tease her back.

"Yep! That's spot on! It's quite cooler for me. And no, I don't worry. I could handle a fox by myself. Badgers though, I might have to worry about those." Wolfglare felt Chrysanthemumshade rubbing herself in his pelt, an he got slightly uncomfortable. He wasn't used to that. Hen she stopped he was grateful for that, but realized she was probably still cold. Coming to a stop, Wolfglare sat down, taking a deep breath of the night air. He enjoyed the crisp scent. He incurred his tail from his paws, a silent invitation for Chrysshade to come and... Snuggle with him. I suppose...

Right now his mate was happy with a smile on her face, so he was happy with a smile on his face and that added a purr that was hiding.

Her mate’s response made her continue to smile, feeling happier than she ever had in a very long time. Blackfrost couldn’t help but wonder if she acted too energetic or needy sometimes around other cats - especially Crowhawk. She glanced at him before looking down at her paws, which brushed through the dampened grass. The she-cat assumed that he would tell her if she was getting annoying. She shook her head, not wanting these self-doubts towards herself to get in the way of this good moment. Blackfrost was delighted to see the smile on her mate’s face and the purr that rumbled from him, perhaps he was just as happy as she was after all. “Thank you, Crowhawk..for everything.” The she-cat decided to add as they walked as she looked at him with a softened expression, “You have no idea how happy you’ve made a lonely little she-cat on this day.” And it was completely true, Blackfrost felt like this was a new start to her life and now she didn’t have to fear of being alone - she trusted Crowhawk and all the promises he had made her. Several lingering drops of rain slipped from the leaves of the trees and onto her back, making the long-furred female shiver at the feeling, but overall not bothered by it anymore. The warrior smirked at her mate, a bit of playful nature hinting in her eyes before she dashed forward through the forest ahead of him, her paws kicking up puddles of rainwater with each leap she took.

Crowhawk was now next to her. Her smile made him happy. He loved her smile, it showed him what it was like to make one smile to him and how it felt to them and to him. He didn't say anything else and continued to walk into the wet grass. He shook his head when she told him thank you. "You still don't need to thank me." He told her. He looked away with a smile and rubbed up against her. He looked into her eyes with his amber ones. "You made me the luckiest tom in all the clans." He told her. "I thank you for that." He licked her cheek.

Moonpaw padded out of the Shadowclan camp and bounded a couple steps into the territory. Her high mood was buzzing through her veins and she looked back, waiting for Canarypaw to appear. It was a weird feeling, definitely, to have another cat besides her mentor to spend the day with. Surely Sootfur wouldn't mind if another apprentice showed her some battle moves. He definitely wouldn't mind that she was actually making friends in the clan.

But was Canarypaw a friend? She didn't really know. All she really knew is that he was being friendly. Wasn't that all that mattered? Moonpaw shook her head to clear the negative thoughts. There wasn't time for those right now. She whipped around, waiting for Canarypaw to appear.

(Sorry for late reply, I was busy and I had writer's block)
Darkclaws started picking up his pace until he was right behind Halestar. He looked towards her for a second and looked back straight ahead. His fur was matted from the rain. We should nearly be there by now He thought, but to be honest, he wasn't entirely sure, the rain had disoriented his sense of smell and he had never been this far away from camp in the rain.

(Movin’ it here because I assume we’re no longer in the camp. @CandyFlossCat )
A scent reached the small cat’s nose and he stopped in his tracks, nose crinkling as it did earlier while Mintpaw tried to identify the scent. He knew it was a prey scent, because his mouth watered just by the smell of it. He dipped his head down lower to the ground, assuming since prey was small it’d leave a scent trail near the ground. He still couldn’t pinpoint what prey it was, but no way was he going to ask for help.
With a huff, his fur bristling, he slowly followed where he thought the trail was leading.

What type of cat do you think I am...? The greyish silver feline wanted to ask him, but she held her tongue back. Instead, like she had been scolded by a parent, she pulled her ears back. Instead of impressing him, she was failing. Big time. Though it wasn't a first. She couldn't impress every cat she went passed. Secretly, Chrysanthemumshade felt that Wolfglare was a mystery. That he didn't allow anyone to get to know him. So far, she could see how he enjoyed night walks, that he liked the cold because it felt pleasant to his thick fur. This was all the she cat could get from him. Honestly, it felt aggravating that he was acting like a door, and she knew she didn't have the key to unlock every happiness, every fear, every sadness, every desire. She didn't have a code for any of that. Exactly, what did a cat like Wolfglare need to hide? From a distance, the tom looked he would be he epitome of all evil in the world. From that stoic expression to those cold eyes that could kill you with just one look. She was quite surprised that she even allowed herself to even approach the tom earlier that day. He already looked like a brooding mess within the Warriors den--and, what made her stay? That she was enjoying their conversation? That she found out that he liked Shadowclan to be under good leadership? That he believed Shadowclan is under weak reign because of their paranoid leader? That she should had walked away, and perhaps she wouldn't have gotten to know his sweet side? Bittersweet...he certainly was. This was something she registered. Chrysanthemumshade had wondered if there were other cats that were able to unlock that side to him. Just the thought of warriors, apprentices, and kits fear him without even knowing him.

And, yet I have done the same thing...judging that he would hurt her. Thinking that he would pound her into oblivion--when truly he can, but she doubt he would be that sinister. After all, haven't he allowed her to touch his pelt, despite him not being the one for such...affections? Haven't he wrapped his tail around her, keeping her warm? The gesture had taken her by surprise actually, and he seen the looks he had given her. She couldn't even return them. She felt out of place, so insecure, and in that moment, empty in her thoughts. "What," she turned her head to look at him, slightly. She didn't know what to say, or what to think. She wanted to know what her next move would be. Clearly, acting brave was over with. Maybe there was a different way to approach this manner. "Is there something on me?" She gave a light shrug, as she quickly gazed at him before averting her gaze. Being stared upon always made her insecure. Other she cats might like it. Bask in the attention, but to Chrysanthemumshade it always reminded her of the way her mentor stared at her. Like she was the only thing in the world.

Her nose twitched, and she put on a hidden smirk. The she cat felt taken aback at the fact that she jumped at the sound of a bunny. Those sweet, innocent little things couldn't do any harm, could they? However, she didn't want to appear that scared when she was really frightened. With her tail lashing behind her, the feline gave Wolfglare a sly grin. "Bunnies are dangerous, you know!" She mewed, matter-of-factly. "They're not to mess with. They're like...very, very...dangerous." She allowed herself to believe so that she didn't appear stupid. Though she might had when she voiced that out. Giving off an awkward laugh, she had to think of something else to say. Something quick. "I wouldn't have to worry about them though. You'll protect me." It sounded weird. Though he had admitted those words himself. I'll protect you. That was when she had froze up for a moment. What reason did he have to protect her? Chrysanthemumshade felt that she could believe the words. She wanted to, but that was hard for her. She was still quite frightened of him. She learned long ago that words meant nothing. Actions were everything. She could only impress so many cats by verbal responses, but once they actually seen her complete the action? She might as well had made a new best friend.

Chrysanthemumshade figured that she wouldn't say anything to this. She greatly appreciated the fact that he felt he could protect her. Who wouldn't want protection from a large cat that could swipe the life out of you just by a smack of his tail? The thought really made her laugh. Slowly, she began to embrace the coldness. Not that she was that cold. Especially with the warmth Wolfglare was providing her. The she cat looked around, admiring the soft moonlight that settled around them. It was a state of bliss. The leaves softly swaying to the wind. Her ears kept twitching, her small body shivering. Though she kept a smile on her face because, after all, she did have someone to protect her.

"I bet you can handle a fox," she turned her head to stare at him once again, looking him up and down with her green optics as if checking him out. Perhaps he wouldn't even have to handle a fox. The fox would simply run at the size of him. When she turned her gaze away, her ears flicked. "I doubt you'd be able to not handle a badger." She gave a light laugh. "I bet you can handle anything that comes your way." She purred, and gave a gentle lick to her jaws. He was like a sturdy wall. A statue that others couldn't break down. Not even a cat's worst predator. She admired that a lot. Because she knew she could never be like that. She was small, easy to run over. Both mentally and physically. Though she rather prefer that cats run her over physically. Her mind was tender, very easy to take advantage of and shape to anyone's desires.

When the large tom had stopped, Chrysanthemumshade almost kept going. Her tail swayed gently behind her, until she noticed he wasn't walking next to her any longer. And, the breeze hit her pretty hard, giving her a chill. She stopped in her tracks, turning her head to give him a glance, her nose twitching. He was just...sitting there. Why has he stopped when it was cold out here? The she cat slowly padded her way back towards him, looking up at him with her dazzlingly orbs. "Is everything alright?" She tilted her head slightly. See, Chrysanthemumshade was pretty clueless. She didn't know that Wolfglare was inviting her to snuggle against him. In her eyes, it was tempting to do just that. He was practically sitting down, a thick pelt that was warmer than hers would ever be. Though, she stayed planted to her spot. She didn't want him to appear uncomfortable. Instead of waiting for him to answer, she was tired of the wind blowing through her pelt, so she gingerly sat next to him, not too close, but just enough to feel the warmth. She kept her paws close each other, and wrapped her tail tightly around her to add more heat. She kept her eyes locked down on her paws until she felt that she was ready to look up. Stars, and stars, and more stars accompanying the moon. "Ah, the night is gorgeous," she smiled brightly, flicking her ears, then pinning them flat against her head. "No wonder you like to be out here." She quickly looked over at him. "You're like a shadow, aren't you? You like to be unseen?" She asked him, twitching her nose once more, and squinting her eyes to look at him. He did have somewhat of apparition look to him. No cat would ever see what he would be doing. She hardly could even see him in the night, but his stunning eyes were the only clue that gave him away.

Lucky stumbled along the dense, wet undergrowth of the forest her pelt drenched and clinging to her broken body. She knew she was hurt, and badly, and she was breathing in heaving, ragged gasps. Agony shot through her with every pawstep. She looked down at her right forepaw and a groan of anguish escaped her lips. It was bloody and at an angle that made her stomach lurch. The blood running from her torn ear had run into her eye. Her shoulder throbbed and stung from a massive gash there, and the still-bleeding wound was causing her shoulder to swell and stiffen as yet more blood caked her night-black pelt. The she-cat looked around the woods, terror swarming within her as she realized she had no idea how to get back to her housefolks' nest. She had been just a few gardens over when a massive tan-colored dog had come out of nowhere. She had fought savagely, sheer panic guiding her claws, and had just barely managed to hurt it enough to escape from it's slavering jaws and dart frantically away, not caring where she wound up so long as it was far away from that monstrous dog! A bright flash and deafening rumble of thunder brought her abruptly out of her memories and back to the forest where she now found herself, badly battered and bleeding with no help in sight. She fought the urge to curl up into a ball and cry like a lost kit. As she took another staggering step forward, her vision rippled like water disturbed in her dish, and she her head felt too light and a dizziness washed over her. "N-no.." she squeaked, helplessly. I've lost too much blood. With a sudden jolt of panic, she realized she would soon lose consciousness. I'm going to die here. She looked around desperately, but there was not a housefolk in sight. Another wave of dizziness swept through her, and she gasped, fighting to stay on her feet. Knowing she couldn't manage another step, she threw her head back and cried out in a desperate, wailing yowl, "He-Help! Someone please help me! Help!" Even this effort left her vision to swim and reel and she staggered, "Help..." this last cry was broken murmur and it was drowned out by another thunderous crash as the forest pulsed with sharp white light.

Daypaw was going to collect herbs at the time, but seeing as it was raining, they were on their way back to Shadowclans camp. They preferred it there, it was a safe heaven for them. Out here, they were defenseless. It was easy for their sleep deprived mind to see shadows in the corners of their eyes, in the shadows of the large pines that loomed over head. Their ears twitched at first, the scent of something unfamiliar. Then blood. Then a yowl for help. Of course on instinct, Daypaw ran after the pleas for help. As their duty as med cat, they would help anyone who was injured. Rain poured over head, soaking their pelt and causing them to shiver. They didnt care. Everything seemed blurry in their eyes as they ran, claws digging into the wet ground to run faster towards the wailing. When reaching the cat, Daypaw could tell they were a kittypet by the scent. They smelled--no, reaked of twolegs. But they had large gashes on them that needed to be treated as soon as possible in order for her to live. They werent in their den, there for they didnt have the herbs they needed, but theyd try their best. "Im here- my name is Daypaw. Try to stay calm." their voice was strict yet they tried not to be to stern seeing as she was injured. Amber hues looked around the forest, rain still pouring over head. Running over to a near by tree they dug their claws under the roots, searching for any cobwebs. They gasped when they found some, puling them out. They paw was covered in mud but they didnt care. Making their way over back to Lucky, they placed the cobwebs over the wounds. They needed to stop the bleeding.

Lucky's senses were rapidly fading. She was only dimly aware of the cat who had appeared out of the forest. She had heard a name... Daypaw. Then darkness took her, but pressure on her shoulder brought her reeling back to her senses with a gasp as pain shot through her. She whimpered insensibly, struggling to stay awake. Some part of her understood that whoever this cat was, they were trying to help her. Lucky tried to speak to the cat and tell them about what happened, but all she could manage was to weakly croak, "Dog...got me...I can't ..." everything went dark again for an instant, and Lucky struggled to look at the stranger, her body shaking with the effort of lifting her head. "Please..." There was so much Lucky wanted to say to this kind stranger: Please don't leave me. Please save me. Please don't let me die here in a strange place so far away from my home and my housefolk. Lucky wondered passingly if they were wondering where she was right now. "Please..." was all she could muster the strength to say.

"Im going to try to stop your bleeding, okay?" Daypaw meowed out to the shecat. To Lucky, Daypaw was probably some strange cat that just popped up out of no where to help. Theyd understand if Lucky was scared. In the meantime, Daypaw pressed on the wounds with their muddy paws in order to stop the bleeding. She had lost alot of blood already. They wanted Lucky to keep talking, to stay awake and conscious and aware until they were back to the med cat den. "I want you to stay awake as I treat you. Keep talking, tell me about yourself." they wanted to keep Lucky distracted from the pain. The med cat was slightly shaking from the cold rain over head, the roaring of the rain in their ears as they stared down at the shecat and kept tending to the wounds.

Lucky winced as the cat pressed on her wound again and laid her head back down, taking a moment to breath before responding to the cat. "I'm...Lucky," she said with an effort, shivering on the cold wet forest floor. "My housefolk... they have a kit... grabs my tail sometimes... kits will be kits." Lucky let out a slight mrrow of laughter, but winced again. She took a deep breath, puzzled by what she noticed under the thick scent of rain: other cats, some plants she didn't recognize, but no scent of housefolk nest. "You... you don't smell like housefolk..." She mused out loud, her pain momentarily fading as curiousity for this stranger took hold.

Lucky let out a slight mrrow of laughter, but winced again.

So she was a kittypelt. Daypaw listened while still pressing against wounds to stop the bleeding, when they pulled away they were glad the bleeding had stopped. Pulling the cobwebs off of the wounds, Daypaw leaned down to lick them clean. They wanted the wounds as clean as possible to prevent infection to the body, then she could be treated with herbs. "I dont live with housefolk," they stated inbetween licks,"Im a clan cat of the forest. The medicine cat, actually." they explained. They figured Lucky would have no idea what they were talking about, but it was good to them her they guessed. "You are on clan territory, though lucky that I was out here or you would have died."

Lucky listened as Daypaw treated her wounds. Her body still ached terribly, but she was no longer losing blood so she was able to calm down, "You're one of the wild cats," Lucky murmured as this cat who called themselves a medicine cat continued to lick her wounds clean. Lucky stayed silent for a long moment. Staring straight ahead. The rain was beginning to slow down, and Lucky longed to curl up and sleep. "Am I going to live?" she asked the other cat simply.

Goldeneye was trying hard not to slip as he sprinted through the territory. Usually, his paws thudding on the ground like this lead to him not being as tired, but that was sadly not the case this time. He had to steady himself after every step, and he hated it. He pitied the cats that had to make it all this way sneaking, though maybe that's why Halestar had chosen who she had chosen, that would make sense. He had more important things to question right now, so he decided to push that from his mind. He would rather marvel at the warriors than wonder how strong they actually were, and if he was in the right set of mind, he believed the warriors would like to think the same.

Avoiding what appeared to be a pretty painful slip, The deputy reminded himself why he was running to Halestar. Shadowclan was being washed away by the storm, the camp was anyways, much to his anger, some points of the forest seemed fine. He didn't know exactly what he could have done, other than give an evacuation order and help try to get a few cats out. Now he was going to Halestar, the leader, hopefully she knew what to do, as if not, that probably wouldn't end well. The rain was falling down in sheets in his vision, and he could see other cats, which he hoped were Halestar and her group. Taking a deep breath and forgetting about how tired he was, he yelled "Halestar!" As loudly as he could, still sprinting. Taking another deep breath in, he added "Shadowclan is being washed away! We need to find shelter!" He could only hope that the leader noticed him, as if not, Shadowclan might be doomed, which he didn't want at all, as he believed Shadowclan was the strongest clan still.

The kit was used to looking at kits that were either his age or a bit younger. To make eye contact with his father was much harder and as of the present moment, he wished for nothing more then to be a bit taller. Hopefully he would take after Ocelotpath and would one day be as tall as him, or even better, taller than him! The thought put a small grin on his maw and he could feel the excitement bubbling within him. Now he couldn’t wait to be older. Once he was an apprentice there would be so much more that he could do. But would he be safe? Well, he probably wouldn’t be as safe. That was the part that Silentkit wasn’t looking forward to. He was used to feeling safe with his parents and siblings around, but once he reached apprenticeship, his family wasn’t going to always be there for him.

While he waited for a response from his father, Silentkit flattened his ears against his head. The excitement of this situation would probably crank up the volume of which they spoke at and flattening his ears against his head always seemed to block out a bit of noise. Luckily, he didn’t have to stay like that. Relief danced in his eyes as Ocelotpath spoke in a soft tone. Not only did Silentkit avoid speaking whenever possible, but even just an excited tone of voice could hurt his little ears. Although he wasn’t a big fan of noise, he had some of the greatest hearing in the clan. It was a rather unfortunate gift at times, but at other times, it was the key to knowing every secret and detail there was. Silentkit nodded in response, his eyes too turning serious. He had to suppress a shudder before it rippled through him as he thought about going into the territory. The territory would be a more peaceful and pretty place, but it was most likely going to be far more dangerous than the camp clearing. "Okay,” he replied quietly, moving his gaze from his father and looking ahead of him. He let his neck rest for a moment before he slowly rose to his paws.

As Silentkit stood and waited for his father to do the same, his thoughts started to wander off a bit. He was going to be in the territory, as a kit, which meant he would be breaking a rule. He never broke the rules. Silentkit was a generally good kit and avoided doing anything that was wrong or against the rules. He was better at staying out of trouble than most kits too. What would Moondancer think of this? Would she disapprove? Well, he didn’t want to get in trouble, and he didn’t want Ocelotpath to get in trouble either. But then again, who said she had to know? No one. Maybe it would be best to keep this as a secret. Silentkit was great at keeping secrets. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he returned his gaze to his father. Surprise flickered in his hues as he realised he was already standing snd ready to go. "I’m ready,” he whispered, a small smile resting on his face. Hopefully they wouldn’t run into trouble.
Not wanting to waste another moment, he turned after Ocelotpath and padded towards the camp entrance.

(Yep!)

Padding into the territory always seemed to clear the tom's thoughts, and a wave of enjoyment passed over him. He wasn't a "clearing cat," preferring to go out into the territory. He knew there were those who were, mainly kits (who weren't supposed to be out in the territory anyways) and apprentices (who, depending on the age, should be with a warrior) but there were always a few warriors who acted as though they owned the clearing. Ocelotpath didn't have a very high opinion of them. Most were younger, although there were a few senior warriors - perhaps ten moons or so older then him. To the Bengal, he didn't feel like a senior warrior. He felt young. Although, it was all too obvious that he was no longer as young as he had been. Still, at least he wasn't in the age-range where it might be expected that he would go to the elders' den. Ocelotpath didn't have a preferred age for that.

The poor tom was dreading that day. Would his kits be rejecting him when that day did come? Ocelotpath had heard tales of cats getting ignored by their fellow clanmates once they did retire to the elders' den - of course, they were still treated with respect, just not sought out. At least, the tom would still have his beloved mate. He was wondering how Moondancer was doing with the kits. "Silentkit, has your Mom taught you how to eat meat yet?" He asked, being sure to keep his voice low as they continued through the territory. Ocelotpath was continuously learning things about his kits, and one thing that he knew for sure was that Silentkit did not like noise. Why? The tom still wasn't sure, but he did respect that and hoped that whoever Silentkit's future mentor might be would respect that as well. Perhaps he would watch a training session from a distance or something.

If it were up to him, Silentkit would be his apprentice and hopefully they would both do well in that scenerio. But, since that wasn't an option as far as Ocelotpath's knowledge went, he was going to have to deal with whatever might happen. And hopefully it would all go well. He wondered how the younger cat was doing in the territory - the first time out was always pretty overwhelming, but it was worth it.

Forestpelt was getting old. There was no doubt about it. And no matter how much she tried to deny it - indeed, the more she tried to deny it - the worse it seemed to get. She was constantly making excuses for her poor aging, but now Forestpelt was wondering if it was time to more or less give up. A friend - enemy - frenemy of hers wasn't quite in the elders' den. At least, he hadn't been the last time she had seen him. The two weren't on the best terms. But what would you expect when you threw two fiercely loyal, somewhat grumpy, old warriors together? You would get hell. That was what would happen. And it appeared that that was what had happened with her and Foxspring. Though she most likely would not see the tom again. They were friends... sort of, and while she did care for him in a rather backwards way, Forestpelt would never admit that out loud. Words only took her so far, as the fox-like feline had made perfectly clear earlier. And of course, Forestpelt didn't know what to do about that. How was she supposed to know? What was she supposed to do? The answer was.... nothing. @BluBunny

@RedHead

Canarypaw pushed his way out of the camp, shaking off the pine needles sticking to his golden pelt. He stuck out quite a lot in the dark shadows of the forest, especially since it was nearing sundown. But, they were battle training, not hunting, so he didn't care much as of now. "So Moonpaw... Do you want to go to the training area to practice, or just simply practice in a clearing somewhere?" He personally wouldn't mind either of those suggestions, he would be fine with both. But that's how Canaryoaw was. More of a laid-back, I dot care kind of cat. Although he did care about others. A lot. And he strives to make friends wherever he went. He knew that a lot of cats could go through so many trials in life, and he wanted to be there for them. As of now, Canarypaw's life was pretty normal. His training was going well, he didn't have too much drama happening in his life, and all seemed good to him. But he knew that something wrong could happen in the future, and turn his whole life around.

Mousesong winced as she heard her bones creak as she walked though the forest. She always saw herself as the young, fierce and beautiful she-cat. She was having a hard time accepting the fact she was older now, and slower. Her only kit, Ratpaw, had grow apart from her and she refused to believe that this feeling inside her was loneliness. Another cats scent hit her nose and her fur bristled for a moment before she recognized the scent of her own clanmate. It took her a few moments to remember the name of the other cat, she believed it was Forest.. Something... She shrugged to herself. Mousesong figured she should make herself known before she startles her fellow clanmate. "I think I am getting a bit too old to be wandering the forest by myself." She joked as she trotted closer to the she-cat. "Although, I think I am too stubborn to stop." She chuckled.

Forestpelt had never been one to appreciate company. As in, ever. As a matter of fact, she seemed to spend most of her time convincing herself that she was just fine on her own rather then trying to actually engage in conversation with a clanmate. So the fact that Mousesong was approaching her was quite surprising - she generally got left alone, as a rule. "Something I can help you with? Or are you just here to comment on your old age and stubbornness?" Ah yes. The reason the feline was most likely still alone, and her previous mate had left her - her well known wit. Still, she missed Dawnstripe a lot more then she let on. He had been special. Although, now, Forestpelt quite hated WindClan. Had he died? Been taken from her? Whatever had happened, she was angry at his Clan instead of him. Dawnstripe wouldn't have left her on his own. She glared at the other warrior for a moment, hues sparkling like miniature emeralds as she awaited a response to her question. Well? Her eyes seemed to be saying.

Mousesong didn't seem bothered at all by the she-cats tone. She would have reacted the same way if some random old cat started talking to her. She chuckled a bit, "You seem just as stubborn and grumpy as I am." She smirked as she continued to talk, "I don't need anything, just came here to talk. Figured two grumpy she-cats could exchange a few words." She mewed. Mousesong would never admit she was lonely, she wasn't sure what compelled her to talk to this cat but she did and now there was no turning back.

"What makes you think I'm grumpy?" Forestpelt asked cautiously. Yeah, sure she was - but this cat didn't need to know everything about her personality. What business did this cat have assuming she was grumpy? For a moment, Forestpelt was tempted to break out in a smile and start bubbling on about nothing, just to prove the other cat wrong. But, it wasn't in her nature - and Forestpelt was a cat of her ways. She always had been. "Look, I don't even know who you are. So why would I talk to a complete stranger? I'm sure you have a little mate and kits, and you're nice to them - so run along now, and go play with your friends." Rude. That was one word that described Forestpelt very well. "Respectful" did not seem to be in her vocabulary but really, who could blame her? After everything? Yeah, sure, perhaps Forestpelt was rude. Did she care what others might say about that? No. No she did not, and she never would.

Halestar quickly lifted her head, turning towards the voice that was yelling at her. She stopped quickly, "Everyone halt!" She yelled, quickly sprinting towards the voice of her deputy, Goldeneye. The leader couldn't believe that her clan... everything they worked for was going to be washed away.

"Have you gotten the queens and kits out!" She yelled, worrying about her own kit, Whitekit, as the rain and thunder kept crashing around them, water flowing in between her paws. Her tail lashed as she faced the other cat, worry growing in her heart and eyes.

ShadowClan would have to ask help from other clans, and the closest clan would be RiverClan at this very moment. "You go get everyone out! Lead them to the RiverClan boarder, keep the kits and queens safe! Get everyone out!" she repeated, turning back to the patrol. "Go help get the clan out of camp! Follow everything Goldeneye tells you! Hurry!" she screamed. "I am going to ask for RiverClan's help!"

With saying that, she ran in the direction of RiverClan, praying to StarClan that everything would be okay- that her clan would recover and be alright.

Goldeneye wanted to relax slightly as he heard that Halestar had heard him, but he couldn't let himself do that. "Tempestjay and some other warriors are currently doing that!" He yelled in reply, shaking still. He wanted to believe that everything would be okay, yet it was so hard, considering what had already happened. Starclan knew what would happen if he waited even longer actually, how many could be hurt, or killed! He knew Halestar had her own kit, and what would happen then? If they were hurt? Forcing himself to calm down once again, he watched as Halestar ran to Riverclan.

Wait...Riverclan? The very clan that they had just been trying to attack? Well...what Riverclan didn't know wouldn't hurt them. Hopefully Halestar wouldn't tell Russetstar about that. He shook his head slightly, he shouldn't doubt the leader of the clan, he was sure Halestar knew what she was doing. Looking at the patrol, he waited for a few seconds, to see if they were paying attention to him. Either way, not caring to be honest, he said "Come on, we need to go and get the rest of the clan!" Trying to sound confident, he was glad he succeeded, just trying not to look nervous as he anxiously watched the six.

"Clan cats." Daypaw corrected,"Our camp is along here, do you feel like you can walk with me?" the cream colored cat asked. The faster they got to the medicine den the better. They didnt know what infections Lucky could be getting simply by laying on the muddy floor. Their ears twitched at her question. "No." they answer sternly. No cat had died on them yet, and they didnt plan on Lucky being the first. Daypaw didnt know if they could handle death at this point, the fact that life and death were at a matter of their paws was scary, they could make accidents or something go wrong. But theyd make sure nothing went wrong with lucky.

"I'll try," Lucky promised feebly. She unsteadily tried to raise herself from the forest floor, wincing as her twisted right forepaw touched the ground sending a wave of pain through her. She couldn't keep weight on it. Unsteadily, she managed to get to her paws. "Is it far?" she asked Daypaw, aware that she didn't have much strength to spare.

Once the shecat was stand up, Daypaw was right at her side. They moved closer next to her, letting her lean on them for support. Amber hues looked towards the kittypet, "Its not that far, once were there I can patch you up, there will be a nest waiting for you." anything was better then staying in the rain, only growing colder and colder against their pelts. The small cat was slightly shaking from the cold, but they ignored it. Instead they started to walk, now supporting the weight of Lucky on their shoulder. "We'll be there soon."
