He nodded,"Well. You could always adopt kits. Or take up a responsibility of teaching apprentices the warrior code. Babysitting kits perhaps. Or maybe mentor an apprentice who had an accident similar to yours." He meowed.

Iris smiled. "Thanks, Vixenpaw. You're probably the only cat that'll listen to me complain about what I can or can't do. You're going to make a great warrior someday."

"Wait, how old are you?" Iris asked, sitting back down. In the few days since Shinefang had checked out her spine, she had managed to fold her legs under her and sit properly.
