Feathercloud looked over at the Riverclan border, waiting for Falconfeather. She laid down with her two kits.

Oriongaze waded through the river. He emerged on the other side; the RiverClan/WindClan border. Oriongaze drew closer and bounded on a log. He sat down and gazed across the border. He thought he could see a beautiful she-cat. He immediatly shook the thought away. He shouldn't be thinking of cats from other clans like that.

Robinswoop padded alongside the territory, careful to keep on her side of the border. She knew that RiverClan was somewhere along the other side of it, but she thought little of them. As of right now, her thoughts were on hunting.
Alas, that wasn't going so well. She only hunted one puny rabbit so far, which was barely enough to feed an apprentice. With her mind wandering aimlessly, she didn't notice Oriongaze on the other side.

Oriongaze looked down and saw Robinswoop. 'Uh Oh......better get out of here before I get accused of trespassing. He quietly climbed off of the stump and headed for a nearby tree.

Robinswoop suddenly became aware that there was another feline across the border; a RiverClan one. Her curiosity couldn't be tamed down, so the she-cat called out instead. "Hello? Don't leave!" She was just hoping that the tom would stay to talk. A little chat wouldn't harm anything, right?

Oriongaze stopped dead in his tracks when he heard the she-cat call to him. Should I stay or should I go?(XD) Oriongaze reluctantly turned around and padded up to the she-cat. "You called me?" He mewed softly.

"Yeah," The she-cat said, smiling sweetly at the tom. She had no clue what to say next, as she hadn't planned out the situation well in her mind. But anyways, she assumed that she now had to say something, or else it would be too awkward. "Err, hi."

November 8th, 2016, 12:46 PM
Oriongaze tilted his head and tried to smile. It was very awkward so he stopped. "Well, I'm Oriongaze, who are you?" He mewed. 'Giving away my identity won't hurt, besides she's probably seen me at a Gathering before.'

"I'm Robinswoop." The she-cat said proudly, wondering if this tom was going to be a new friend. Given that she didn't have many at the moment, one from another clan would be nice. Her tail flicked as she observed Oriongaze more closely. She definitely seen him before, at a gathering or something.

Oriongaze gave Robinswoop a friendly smile. 'Robinswoop.....that's a nice name.' Oriongaze shifted his paws. He heard rustling in the bushes and turned toward it. "I'll be right back." He said. Oriongaze vanished into the bush and energed with a vole. He dropped it at Robinswoop's paws. "I know this is against the code but, do you want to share?" He asked

Robin felt a bit flustered at his remark. She could already feel her pelt heating up in slight embarrassment; this was almost too much to bear. Orion's actions were wrong- against the code, that is. But a tom has never offered something to her.
"Yeah, sure." She said, bending down to the ground. She secretely grinned from ear to ear.

Robinswoop nodded, folding her ears back in slight fear. Trying to act brave, the she-cat silently padded out from behind the tree and towards Oriongaze. Her legs were shaking a little bit, but it wasn't anything too bad. She could manage.
The molly knew she shouldn't have come near the border in the first place, but this whole thing intrigued her. Hiding wasn't something she did every day. In fact, this was probably the first time she'd done it since kithood. But doing something like this, although seemingly simple to the average warrior, seemed to light up Robin's mind. "Blazingflurry." She stared back, nodding. The warrior wondered what she was like.

"She sounds interesting," Robinswoop said, nodding her head. The molly smiled, but her feelings were otherwise. She couldn't help but notice a surge of jealously towards his friend. Blazing seemed like the popular type: one of those cats who have tons of friends and good luck. At least, that's what she seemed like. Robin was only basing this off of Oriongaze's words, and although it was a far-fetched guess, she believed it.
"Best friend, huh? You must be very close to her. I wish I could have someone to rely on like that..." her voice trailed off.

"If you say so," Robin said, shrugging slightly. Her gaze was on Orion for a moment, but then it wavered. The tom seemed to be watching the sky, so she did too. Being that it was leaf-fall, the the day seemed to be shorter and the night seemed to be longer. That was better for sleep, of course, but it all contributed to less movement overall.
The sky had changed from an azure blue to a murky black one, sprinkled with stars. The world had changed into night, one of the most satisfying parts of the day. "It's nice out," she mumbled, purely for conversation. She usually didn't say those type of things, but she couldn't help it.

As the patrol left camp Sparrowstep gave a glance at Sorrelskip and Darkbelly, he was looking forward to getting to know them. He was also looking forward for them to get to know him and his unique personality.
A bounce was in the toms trot as he followed the direction towards the Riverclan border. He wasn't exactly in a happy mood as most would think when looking at him with his tail waving in the air, so carefree like. Or with that goofy smirk plastered on his muzzle. No, if you knew this cat for more than a sunrise you would know this was his usual expression. Sparrowstep felt as if his paws were falling asleep, he wanted some action! Some chit-chat outta do.
"Do you enjoy hunting?" The question was directed at them both when his rather soft voice asked with an unusual interest.
His lively yellow eyes drifted towards the sky, analyzing the large, fluffy, gray clouds. He scrunched up his nose, more snow was on it's way. His short spotted pelt puffed out protectively so he was carefully guarded from the cold, but as a chilling breeze brushed past the trees and to the group his fur didn't provide much protection. "Oh, I just hate the cold!" Sparrowstep exclaimed as his paws crunched over patches of snow.

Darkbelly must've done something awful in a past life to deserve getting stuck on a patrol with happy-go-lucky and the she-cat who only had being a tyrant's mate going for her. If they could even consider themselves that; with their loose morals, the multi-colored tom wouldn't put it past them for it to be a 'fling'.

For the time being, he had little enthusiasm for speaking, instead wanting to get the patrol finished so he could resume his life away from the cowards that ambushed and imprisoned his expecting mother.

Quietly, he gazed across the snow-dusted plains. A couple moons after the fire, the return of life was evident with sprigs of grass sprouting from the ashes, the scutter of rabbit paws along the ground. By now, the grass had regrown, if only a few paw-lengths high. Life prospering after the devastation was a consoling thought, and based off the stories his parents told in his youth, he knew the tide of darkness would subside. All they needed was patience.

Idly, he spared Sparrowstep a glance when the other male spoke. Darkbelly did enjoy hunting; he often dragged his sister out of camp to do so, but in this case, he didn't think pleasure was a capability. Not with Sorrel - splash? in their company.

Honestly, Sorrelskip wasn't exactly thrilled as well for this assignment- not because it was the cats who bothered her, but rather the dreary routine of simply patrolling every day- it was the type of activity that made her blood boil with boredom. She was a rather complicated cat, at the very least- her sister, Lilypelt, was kind an gentle, two traits that were hard for her to posses without also looking like a kit frustrated with playing the same game twice in a row. Letting her paws sink into the snow as she walked, a chill ran up her spine, almost seeming like claws, piercing into her skin. She didn't want to remember that moment when she'd looked Dapplestar straight in the eyes as a life was taken from the leader- perhaps it was because she felt a shred of remorse for her, or maybe just because she didn't care about the spotted molly enough to bother with it.

From what she'd gathered from this current walk, the old leader's son didn't seem to be any different from what she'd expected. Of course he'd hate her- she was hated easily without having to imprison somebody's mother in a cage, and to corrupt their clan with a sort of darkness- not exactly corrupt, of course, but she was a sidekick. It didn't matter that she wasn't the centerpiece of the entire thing, because change was all she needed, relief from the strenuous boredom of daily clan life. The she-cat's tricolored tail swished through the newly-sprouted grasses eagerly as she walked, her gaze shadowing over the barren, white lands. The few trees Windclan had must've been destroyed in the fire- it claimed lives, and while she wasn't so quick to feel sympathy for victims of any kind, she could tell that the sensation of being burned alive wasn't a very painless way to go, now was it?

"...I guess I'd say that I like hunting, if you define 'liking' as being good at it- though really, it gets repetitive when you do it all the time." Brings food to the clan, though- we all need to eat, that's for sure. She responded to Sparrowstep's question, the perky tom working to bring some sort of happiness and optimism towards the patrol. Towards his comment about the cold, she merely gave him a small reply, and a quick smile before continuing to walk, not wanting her own paws to freeze off in this weather, despite her semi-longaired coat of fur. "The cold's not the greatest."

His whiskers twitched as his gaze flickered back and forth from Darkbelly, to Sorrelskip, then back. The increasing boredom of the conversation made his paw twitch while it was held up to take a big step through the powdery snow, it was quite obvious he wanted to get to a hunting spot soon so he could distract himself with something, if anything. At least they responded with something.

"Sure it's repetitive, but at least we get something to eat!" His lips pulled back in an almost undetectable smile. "It's a good something to get away from camp." He added, though not actually agreeing with his statement. Sparrowstep rather liked chatting in camp, and the busier it was the more likely something interesting was happening. Usually when he made small talk it was to try to 'relate' to whoever he was talking with. He found speaking his mind freely only pushed cats away and thus he would be left with no friends to communicate with, and that only fueled the monotony of routine.

After his small interaction with the she-cat he shifted his attention to the somewhat distanced tom. "How about you, Darkbelly, was it?" He caught the glance and pondered if approaching him in a flirtatious way would be wise. Sparrowstep often has his fun with flirting, whether it be with toms or molly's, but he has also had bad experiences, so he forces himself to think before he plays. For now he offered a warm grin to the Windclan warrior.

While he waited for a response his gaze wavered over the moors and to few trees in the distance. They were nearing the river. Times were always rough in leaf-bare, mostly concerning prey. His own stomach felt empty as he hadn't had a bite of hare for awhile now. Would they mind crossing the border? Surely they'd be fine with it, we are providing for the clan after all... I guess I'll find out. Lunacross fenic!

Hannibal, after he had made his way to Thunderclan soon after hearing about this strange new clan 'liberating' the four clans and killed the medicine cat apprentice Northpath, had traveled back to Windclan, no one particularly noticing his absence, biding his time before he soon enough caught the scent of the strange clan, Skyclan, growing closer to Windclan territory. He saw the power in this clan, the power that the idea of Starclan held within them, how it rallied cats and he knew that this clan and their leader would stand no chance against them, especially considering not all of the clan would fight along with Singenight. And so the dark tom had easily slipped out of camp before Skyclan arrived and simply waited at the border, knowing quite well that either Singenight would make it out and meet him here, or he wouldn't make it out in which case Hannibal would simply leave back to the Syndicate, having grown rather bored of the happenings of the clans.
So, seated at the border, washing a paw, the dark tom listened to the sound of battle in the relatively far off Windclan camp, his orange-red hues casually sweeping the landscape before eventually he saw a particularly familiar shape making his way in his direction. Singenight had made it out alive.
He never did come off as an idiot who would stand and fight when he knew he would lose. Good on him. Perhaps he does have a place in the Syndicate after all. But oh? Who's this he's bringing along?
His hues focused on the kits that were following the former Windclan leader. Hannibal wasn't overly fond of kits, there was nothing interesting about them. They simply mimicked everything about them and always were confused and really particularly noisy, but so long as they weren't rude they were tolerable. But rude kits. No no, he simply couldn't tolerate that.
Setting down his paw, he would wait for the small group that Singenight brought along, conjuring up a smile, it looked genuine, but as we all know, this is Hannibal and every smile is really filled with emptiness, just like his heart, but at least he could make it look like he cared. After all, he's studied others long enough to be able to mimic their emotions, or at least how those emotions looked.
"Glad to see you made the right choice Singenight, it would have been a shame to lose a cat like you." There seemed to be a purr to the voice, but it was simple vibrations, no meaning, though to any cat that didn't know him at all, it appeared that he seemed to be overly happy that the oriental made it out of the battle alive.
"Who are these lovelies, might I ask?" He inquired, looking to the kits before looking back at Singenight.

It took a moment for I'm to realize Hannibal had shown up. He knew that his mate wasn't too terrible fond of him, but it wasn't out of a hatred, but rather the manners the Syndicate tom had. He seemed polite but in a cold sort of way. He stood to his paws, flicking his tail to guard the two kits from Hannibal. "Hannibal!" he said sounding startled. It was nice to see him, but he didn't exactly feel like talking much at the moment. He looked away, remembering how he had lost his fight, his dreams had been shattered. "This is Dapplekit and Burningkit." he said motioning to the two kits behind him. He stepped to the side a little ways, showing them to the other tom, but not enough for them to be exposed. He loved his kits dearly and couldn't risk them getting hurt. He didn't fully trust the tom, but didn't want to seem rude. And plus he knew the tom's favorite foods, and he wasn't in a good state to protect anyone if it came to it. He had to trust this cat, to hopefully lend him a helping paw.

Burningkit, who was still in shock by what happened in WindClan, stared blankly up at Hannibal. Pale yellow eyes might as well have been stone for what did not register to her, orange fur fluffed upwards and ears pinned to her skull.

The fallen leader rushed to the border where his paws where gently touched by the stream running there. His breath came in heavy pants, and he lowered his head to set Burningkit and Dapplekit down. The Savannah was exhausted, both physically and emotionally. He lowered himself to his large paws and gazed at his reflection in the iced river. "WE lost." he said quietly. His plans, along with the other leaders, had failed. He had no idea where they were now or if any of the others survived. He felt alone, and defeated. He stared at his reflection trying to think back over the details of the battle. Why, and how it failed, what he did wrong. He felt terrible, not only had he disappointed himself, he had disappointed his closest followers, his best and closets of friends, and his mate. He gazed down at his kits sadly, wondering how they would cope with the news.

[flashkit and forestkit are being carried by sorrelskip, not singenight- and brindle's being carried by gorse, i think.]
They had lost. Sorrelskip could consider herself crestfallen- it was a feeling of everything you ever knew just falling down- it was absolute despair. The molly seemed to be both enjoying herself and ruthlessly angry with her choices, with this turnout slightly entertaining, though she knew that something had to be done before life went back to the way it was before- they had to run, and escape before their misdeeds caught up to them. Running alongside Singenight and Gorsefeather quickly towards the border with two of her kits in tow, she suddenly stopped at the sight of a familiar face. Hannibal. He belonged to the Dusk Syndicate- maybe they'd be able to stay there for awhile, to get themselves back on track. "Hey, I'm here." Sorrelskip panted, out of breath as she'd just finished fighting. There was still blood on her claws, from murdering Breezefoot- the fool deserved to die. She didn't feel any remorse for the tom's death, really- he was merely a stepping-stone to those who believed that their little 'Starclan' could save them. "Starclan is a figment of our imagination, and it's our job to get rid of cats so idiotic enough that they believe in their lies- which is why we're here. None of us believe in that, trust me." As Sorrelskip muttered out these few words bitterly, Brindlekit stared nervously towards her sister, Forestkit, whilst being held- she'd told her sister something that she wasn't safe with her parents hearing, and wondered- What's she gonna do?

(It's cause you hadn't posted yet! Flash was carried by Sorrel and Gorse hadn't been posted and it was like 12am)
Singenight turned his head to the footsteps that resonated behind him. A small rumbling purr escaped his throat at the site of his mate. He stepped back, keeping an eye on the two kits. He brushed his muzzle against Sorrelskip's cheek, breathing in her scent. In his time of feeling the worst, his mate would be there for him, that is the only constant he could hold onto at the moment. He gave a small smile to the two kits that dangled in her mouth. He backed away once and again, standing with his body angled in a way that Sorrelskip, and the two kits he had carried stood on the other side away from Hannibal. If he couldn't fight for a Clan then he would fight for his family.

Forestkit hung limply in her mother's grasp. She had been in a good little tussle with Brindlekit, but her mother snatched her away. Had she even see that the two she kits were doing more than just play fighting? Brindlekit had gone as far as too reject both of her parents. Not guarding her mouth, a small hiss escaped. She quickly put an end to it, not wanting her mother to think she was unnecessarily angry at Flashkit who was hanging beside her. She cast a scornful glance to Brindlekit, hatred and loathing in her eyes as the cool, pale yellow orbs locked onto the green of her sister.

Nuzzling Singenight, the molly stood beside him as her eyes locked onto Hannibal, leaving her to let out a long sigh as she set down the two kits she'd been carrying, as Brindlekit shifted onto the ground, her fur slightly bristled in a nervous manner as she stood, shuffling her paws as she cast a gaze towards the Windclan camp longingly. She didn't want to have to leave the home she'd grown so fond of, the place she grew up in. "Y-Yeah." She stuttered awkwardly, her head hanging towards the ground as her tail dragged across the blades of moor-grass. I'm sorry, I'm sorry- It's not like I can stop believing all of a sudden- it's just some sort of idea that I can hold onto- my one constant in life.

Forestkit regained her balance after being carried by her mother for too long. Her legs were slightly shaky, from the journey and constant bouncing. It didn't take long though for her to remain upright, her legs strong and firm on the ground. Forest kit's gaze hadn't left her sister though, light green eyes boring into Brindlekit. The mouse brained kit had told her the secret she had kept from the rest of her family, one that betrayed everything the small family stood for. In anger, she lept at Brindlekit, her tiny claws unsheathed. She pushed her to the ground and snarled in her face. "This isn't over Brindlekit!" He spat.

Brindlekit wasn't expecting her sister to completely forgive her as she kneaded her paws into the ground quietly, but she assumed that they were sisters, and that this would eventually be able to pass over their own heads. Family didn't fight each other, or mean to hurt them- do they? It was an old tale, told to her by an elder who sat next to the nursery at times and would ramble on about their ancestors when the higher-ups weren't looking, a cat who explained everything there was to know about those who'd passed up to the spirit world- and she finally felt connected to them, able to feel the ghosts around her as she walked- it felt so real to her. Snapping back from her daydream, however, Brindlekit let out a shriek as her sister pinned her onto the ground, snarling. We're just kits- leave me alone! "S-Stop, please!" She wheezes, fur bristling in anticipation as she pleaded.

Gorsefeather gently sat Brindlekit down by her siblings and nodded to them before joining Sorrelskip and Singenight. He sat down on the other side of Singenight at curled his tail around his paws. The calico tom looked up to see Hannibal, a member of the Dusk Syndicate. Gorsefeather had never really cared for Hannibal, he had always thought of him as a distraction, like Chilleap. He shook himself and looked over the situation the cats were currently in. Gorsefeather and Singenight had been ultimately stripped from their rankings, Lilypelt had denied him, and everything they had worked for was gone. Gorsefeather had lost.....everything. Anger bubnled in the tom's chest. His gaze swept across Hannibal, he needed someone to take out his anger on. But, Hannibal was a smart cat and would most likely injure or even kill Gorsefeather. He dropped the idea and sighed. He flexed his claws and lashed his tail in anger.

That seemingly warm smile on the toms face didn't quiver or move at all when he heard the surprise in Singenight's voice as the tom noticed him. As he introduced the two kits, Burningkit and Dapplekit, he dipped his head slightly to them, fiery gaze focused on them momentarily.
"Greetings then young ones." His head lifted again and soon his gaze was falling back on Singenight, reading the stance the other had and flicking the tip of his tail in dismissal.
He thinks I'll hurt them.
Those orange hues focused on Burningkit for a moment, a kit that looked quite stunned by what had happened, not at all surprising considering that she was a kit and this was a fairly large battle and that they were forced out of their home. His eyes remained there for a moment before he heard the approach of pawsteps and his gaze swept to Sorrelskip, the mate of Singenight. And she was carrying two more kits. And there was another cat not too far behind her as well, a cat that he's observed quite a lot in his time in Windclan, Singenight's deputy Gorseleap. A very interesting cat that one. But his gaze didn't stay on the former deputy for very long, no, it was focusing back on Sorrelskip as she announced that she was here.
Hannibal didn't bother to ask the names of the other two kits, he didn't care. And those two kits seemed a lot more rowdy than the other two, perhaps they had a disagreement, his gaze hanging on Forestkit for a moment and then Flashkit before eventually he looked at Gorseleap who was presumably the last cat that Singenight had elected to take away from Windclan, 'saved' them so to speak. Oh? And he has one more kit.
Hannibal slowly stood, thinking it over. He didn't really want to bring kits into the Syndicate, he didn't like kits, but then again, they could prove to be something interesting to observe as they grew. I suppose I could take them with me.

"Well. Considering this 'Skyclan' wants you gone, I'm assuming you all are leaving Windclan yes?"
The dark tom would take a pause to look over the group of cats.
"If that's so, then hrm.."
He looked at his paws, as if in thought, though he already knew what he was going to say, but he had to play the part. His head lifted up again and he looked at the other cats, tilting his head slightly.
"Well there is no commander of the Syndicate at the moment, so I could simply bring you all in without any strings attached. No tests to prove your worth. Would you be interested in going back with me?"
If it already hadn't been obvious, or if he hadn't told them before, they would now know where he was from, the Dusk Syndicate, one of the ruthless and most organized band of rogues there was. In fact, I'm not sure if they would even be considered a 'band of rogues', they're more than that. They're an organization that operated differently than the clans, despised the clans. It would likely be a good home for these cats, but Hannibal was doing this for his own benefit. They were new subjects to observe, perhaps pick away at, toy with. He's already gathered so much information on them, at least the adults, the kits were another story, but he wouldn't mind learning more about all of them.

Jinxflare was padding back towards the area spot she left Hannibal. Two mice hung from her jaws, it was a better hunt for this time of year. Her senses were muffled by the mice so she didn't notice Hannibal had company until her gaze rested on a familiar pelt. Jinxflare pushed through the bushes and stood beside Hannibal, her head tilted a little as she set the mice down. "Well look who decided to flee while the other evil leaders died," she huffed, her gaze resting on Singenight. Her ebony tail tip twitched with irritation. She prayed this cat had some sort of plan to take back Windclan at the very least or his escape would be in vain. Certainly he didn't think he could live normally after everything he put his clan through. Jinxflare knew very well what was going on the clans. Soon her yellow gaze shifted towards the kits, his mate and his deputy. "Brought the family along too. Guess you're lucky," Jinxflare's voice was cold. She was still bitter about Blazingnight's death, she really had no one now, the feline was her motherly figure and her mentor, making Jinxflare touchy around the subject. Silently she sat down, watching and letting Hannibal speak now. It was similar to the invitation she had received from the dark rogue. Who knew. She went from being one of the next leaders to being a rogue. All thanks to the clan no one knew about.

Singenight turned his gaze from Sorrelskip back to Hannibal. He silently acknowledged his deputy arriving and faced the current matter. He noticed the new cat appear and answered the questions in one. "Yes I ran. If we had stayed I would have been putting my entire family in danger. Not only myself, but my mate kits, and loyal deputy. If it was just my life at risk then I might have fought harder, but I do have a family, and I do care about them, no matter what others might think. You two know just as well as I do, that when Dapplestar returns, she would have killed both Gorsefeather and I. Most likely Sorrelskip too, the fate of the kits undecided." he said his confidence returning.

Forestkit weighed her options as her sister fought beneath her. She slowly backed off, allowing her one more chance. "Why can't you just be like us? And know, one more mention of Starclan and I'll tell everyone right here and now." she said threateningly. "Oh and by the way, that cat over there," she pointed to Hannibal, "is a cannibal, and he eats kittens like you for a snack."

Applethorn was extremely irritated when it came to how Riverclan had ended up losing all sorts of leadership under Bucknight and her own aunt, the former being killed and the latter having been driven out of her own clan by the cats she helped become strong- She'd looked up to Thornfrost since she was a small kitten, and now the clan's future seemed as dim as the sky which covered Riverclan's territory at night- even the moon wasn't bright enough to show that they'd made a terrible mistake. Snarling to herself, the molly trudged along her clan's border with Windclan, angry with so many of her clanmates who had betrayed their leader, just to obey starry-pelted cats who had to influence on the life they were really living. Our new leader is a fool- we're doomed, aren't we? She didn't seem to have anything good to think about her father, not caring about him at all, really. She didn't want this to happen, and now that she was mad, her mate Swampstone wasn't here to help her. Silent was the small, white and black splashed kit as he explored the clan's territory, alone. This was, of course, against the rules, and he knew it. Ripariankit was not one to break rules, however, and this was a dare.
Dared by a group of kits which he identified as "friends." Although, real friends wouldn't dare you to sneak out of the clearing, through the territory, and take a sip of the water that bordered RiverClan and WindClan, and, as proof that he wasn't a wimp, take a stone from the river and bring it back.
Riparianpaw was shaking all the way down to his bones as he neared the clear, rocky river that flowed through the territories.
Of course, his sister, Gossamerkit, was not aware of this, as she'd probably go and inform the leader of his reckless actions, and he would not have his sister stand up for him in front of a bunch of other cats. How humiliating would that be? No. Gossamerkit was not to know.
Ripariankit neared the river, close enough now to see the individual pebbles that lay upon the river's floors. Padding closer, right to the edge, Ripariankit, trembling and terrified, leaned down just far enough for his tongue to lap the water, gingerly licked the icy liquid, before moving away quickly, as if he'd been stung.
Taking another deep breath, Ripariankit padded alongside the river to a fallen tree that had landed horizontally across the river. Taking a final deep inhale, he padded slowly and carefully across the log, inching his way to the middle, where he could lean down and grab a small pebble, hopefully.
His chocolate brown gaze fixed on the clear, rushing water beneath him, Ripariankit slowly lowered the front of his body, one paw outstretched in front of him to, hopefully, grasp a pebble. Shaking like a leaf, his paw was almost touching the smooth, pale blueish grey surface of the desired pebble, when he heard the last sound he'd want to hear- a crack.
It was loud, quick, and pieced the air like a knife, cutting the silence. Ripariankit's heart dropped like a stone, then so did he. The fallen tree's branch, which was already dead as it was, broke apart from the tree's trunk, and it fell;with Ripariankit, and hit the icy water with a splash.
Ripariankit yelped in surprise and shock as the freezing water sprayed against his short pelt, and he screeched for help as his lower body was submerged into the icy waters. He held on dearly to the broken off branch to keep him afloat, but it kept rolling about.
Water soaked the kit's face-or was it tears? I'm going to die, he thought in horror, though being not even six moons, he wasn't entirely sure of what death meant. I'm going to die, and all because of a stupid dare, Ripariankit thought bitterly, but he kept crying out for help, terrified out of his wits.

Redpaw walked boredly along the border, a scrawny rabbit hanging from his jaws, when he heard domething. Someone was calling out near the river. With a jolt, he dropped the hare. The sound wasnt near the river, it was in it. Sprinting over, he saw a kit stranded on a violently lurching branch, crying out in fear. The tom's remaining clear blue eye fixed on the kit as he hurried along the bank. You have to swim, Red. Now! "Do you know how to swim?" called the tom, keeping parallel to the branch. If the kit drowned, it would be his fault. The apprentice had quickly forgotten the rabbit, now keeping his eyes on the kit for fear that if his eyes traveled, the young cat would be pitched into the freezing, ice-cold depths of the river.

(haha it's no problem ^^)
Ripariankit scrabbled around of the branch, his claws unsheathed as he clung for dear life onto the mere branch. Gasping in fear, the kit's chest rose and fell rapidly as he panicked.
The rushing of the water blocked most sounds, but he could faintly hear another voice. Another cat? He wondered hopefully. It sounded as though they were asking if he could swim. If i could swim, don't you think I'd be swimming by now? Ripariankit thought to himself, but out of panic, he said nothing.
"N-no!" He managed to yelp. Suddenly, the side of the branch got stuck beneath the gnarled roots of a tree that had grown on the river's edge, causing Ripariankit to fly forwards, due to his momentum.
Digging his claws into the bark, he grasped it tightly as the river's deadly current threatened to pry his paws from the dead branch.
Freezing cold now, his teeth chattered together rapid-fire, and his back paws were beginning to go numb, as well as his forepaws.
"H-help!" He wailed, crying still in complete and utter fear of death. Shaking violently, it was all he could do to not let go of this dear branch, the only thing that kept him from a likely death.

The young cat's muscles tensed as he watched, and then, without any thought of the fact that he couldnt swim, jumped into the river. As he hit the freezing water he gasped, most of the air leaving his lungs. Struggling to stay afloat as he made his way to the kit, he felt the icy water soak his fur, chilling him down to the bone and making everything feel excessively sharp. The calico tom reached the kit just as the branch slipped out of the tree root's grasp and caught the kit, bobbing under the surface as the branch hit the side of his head. He came back up gasping, the kit firmly in his jaws, and pain seared through him and he felt as if he was going numb, his thoughts beginning to blur as his body tried to focus on self-preservation and his mind on the kit. No... Redpaw, the kit, the kit first. That is the most important part of the code. Move!
Redpaw tried to swim sideways, but between lack of skill, pain, and cold, all he could do was keep the kit out of the frigid water. A sense of solid resolution came over him as he realized he wouldn't be able to escape with the kit... but the kit could escape without him. Remorselessly, he boosted the kit towards the bank, ensuring that he was close enough to drag himself up. He stuggled against the merciless current, trying to prevent the kit from falling backwards, but felt his strength leaving him as we went under for the third time. The orange calico's short fur was heavy and sodden and he could hardly drag his way to where he could touch the bottom before he collapsed several tail lengths from the tomkit, shivering and panting. "Are y-you okay?" he gasped, struggling in a vain attempt to get to his paws, scanning for the kit.

Fear rushed through him just like the freezing water rushed downstream. Mainly, Ripariankit was in complete shock, but felt a twinge of hope when Redpaw jumped in to save him, but right after, fear consumed him once more.
Dunked under the freezing water several times as Redpaw struggled to stay afloat, Ripariankit was hit by the sudden realization that it was likely that only one of them would live. Freezing cold, teeth chattering, and trembling like a leaf, Ripariankit silently prayed to StarClan that this other tom with the courage to save him would live to see a new day.
Dunked under again, this time, the icy water flooded into his open jaws. When they resurfaced once more, he sputtered and choked as it went into his lungs. His entire tail, both back legs, and forepaws, as well as his ears, were numb now, but in a stinging way.
Finally, after what seemed to be hours of struggling, Ripariankit was boosted up towards the bank, and he clawed at the dirt that suddenly seemed like the best thing ever. He coughed many, many times, shaking still as his sodden black and white pelt clung to his skin, weighing him down a bit.
After a moment of gasping desperately for breath, he looked around for the cat who'd saved his live. Hi's gaze finally fell on the said cat, and he made his way painfully towards him.
"Y-yes." He whimpered. "Wh-what about you? Sh-should I-I get G-geckoleaf? I-I don't kn-know what to d-do," Ripariankit cried, tears streaming down his sodden face. "Th-this is all my f-fault, isn't i-it?" He wailed, sobbing now.

Redpaw shivered. "There is no was you can get back to camp by yourself. It isn't your fault you fell in," he choked out hurriedly, spitting water. "Get away from the water..." He sensed feeling freezing out of his paws. "Somewhere dry." He started coughing, but to no avail--none of his attempts to force the water from his lungs helped. "Get yourself home..." he trailed off, closing his eyes.I am going to die. I'll never see Mudpaw again. Get used to it, he topd himself silently, shuddering. (Sorry it's so short, mobile sucks.)

Ripariankit looked horrified. "Wh-what? I'm-I'm not leaving without you!" He exclaimed.
"Y-you just saved my life, I've got to repay you. I-I'll go find someone! They can help you! You can come to our camp- Gecoleaf can help you get better! Redpaw bit his tongue. "Y-you can't! You'll freeze!" he argued, teeth chattering horribly. Not that there's anyone at home who'd call me a hero. "It's too c-cold for you to be out there, there's no way you'd mke it back on your own..." The calico tomcat looked at the kit. "Don't," he finished feebly. Wow, if he isn't convinced to get help, that definetly didn't convince him not to.

Ripariankit was trembling and thought quickly. If he left, Redpaw would likely freeze by the time he returned. Or he would freeze before he got to the camp.
Thoughts swirrled in and out of Ripariankit's mind before finally deciding to curl up beside Redpaw, trying to keep them both warm, and he supposed that they'd just have to pray to StarClan that a patrol would come around and find them before they both froze. Shivering at the thought, Ripariankit inched closer to the freezing tom, hoping that this would work.

Red smiled faintly at the gesture--It was adorable, and in other circumstances he may have laughed. But now, he was just clinging to the combined warmth of the kit and himself. Still shaking violently, the reddish-orange calico raised his head. Judging by the time, a patrol may come soon and save the kit. He was certain that he would be long gone by then, but the smaller tom had a much greater chance. "Don't worry, someone will come soon," he told the kit in the same weakening voice. Redpaw forced his eyes to remain open as he felt sleep-- or something darker and quieter--tugging at their lids.Hold on until the kit is safe, Redpaw.

Ripariankit snuggled closer to Redpaw, actually warming up a bit himself. If he closed his eyes and turned his head to one side, he could almost imagine that he was in the nursery with his mother and sister.
Gossamerkit, he thought as the memory went away. She must be so worried! he thought, but tried not to panic.
A patrol would come soon, and find both him and Redpaw. They'd be saved and taken to their clans and families, Ripariankit assured himself. He noticed that Redpaw was shivering still, and tried his best to warm the other tom. "What's your name?" He meowed quietly after a moment.

Chocolate brown eyes fixed on Redpaw, Ripariankit shakily meowed, "Ripariankit. N-nice to m-meet you." If the circumstances were different, it might've been comical. Such an ordinary conversation just after almost drowning, and the other dying slowly. Ripariankit looked sadly at Redpaw. Please let him be okay, he thought miserably. He also hoped that a patrol would come across them soon. "I'm sorry, Redpaw." He meowed quietly. "For everything."

Ripariankit hesitated, looking down at Redpaw's unmoving form, then up at Darkspirit. "O-okay," he said quietly, sniffling. He allowed the new cat to lift him by the scruff of his neck, but his eyes were on Redpaw's corpse the whole time. Picking up the kit, she turned and headed back towards camp without a second look at the dead apprentice. Should she bring him back to RiverClan? Or take him to his own camp to be buried? Or just leave him and let some other cat deal with it? No, the kit would not like that--best bring him back if nobody had gone looking for him. Although carrying the corpse of a WindClan apprentice may seem suspicious. Ah, well. First she would need to know what happened from the kit, anyway. Maybe a fox would eat the apprentice before she got there? Darkspirit! Stop it! What a terrible thing! Although... No. Don't you even think about it. Pulling herself from her thoughts, she paused. "What exactly happened?" asked the dark tabby, setting the kit down.

"Ẅhat are you doing?"he asked, narrowing his amber eyes at her; he was not spending time beating around the bush. The tom's tail flicked.

Rippletail looked at Lemoncello once they have arrived to the place. A scared and nervous look crossed her face, but was determined to prove the Rouge who she thought was a loner that she was not scared. If they would ever have a life together, she shouldn't show scaredness. Rippletail was Moon-Struct over the tabby, and had asked herself to sleep with him.

Hesitantly stepping over the border, the Windclan scent hit her harshly. Rippletail had to hide the disgust in her gaze, before sniffing at a small bush. "Will this do?" She asked, looking at the tom she thought loved her. The image of the two sleeping side-by-side made her fuzzy with joy. May-maybe one day... he could father her kits? The thought practically made her leap in joy, yet her green eyes were shining as Rippletail looked a little dreamily at him.

Limoncello padded across the 'border', noticing - disapproving of - the scent lines that created it. How rabbit-brained are these cats? Do they really think their scents are going to stop others from crossing into their territory? He made a quiet tsk tsk noise; not loud enough for Rippletail to hear, but still audible. He surveyed the bush, taking careful note of all of its features. Not to spiky... appears to have enough room for two cats... multiple exits available... Yes, I think this will do nicely. "I think it looks perfect," He purred with fake enthusiasm. He brushed his for up against hers before stepping inside, taking a look around its interior.

The bush was full of leaves, and Limoncello pushed them back with his paws until there was enough room for them both. He used the sticks inside to pin back certain branches, creating a nice space to rest. I wonder if she'd be ok if we slept together...? After all, she's already gone all goo-goo eyed on me. He could clearly see the affection in her eyes, and noticed the way she moved around him. She wanted him to be strong, and that was what he was going to do. "It's ok, love!" He called out, continuing to lure her in. "I've made a nice nest for us both!"

The purr of Lemoncello made her heart leap, making her have a purr of her own. She loved when his fur- on purpose - brushed against hers, for the small amount of time lay her head on his shoulder, before lifting it up as he moved. Rippletail watched his work silently, eyes admiring. She felt close to Lemoncello, closer to any tom she had ever known. The molly wanted to peek in to see for herself, but waited for him to finish

Once he said 'love,' Rippletail felt like she could jump in the air, but instead a loud purr rumbled through her throat. Ducking in, she pressed herself as close as possible to him, the purr still going. "It's perfect!" The molly exclaimed. She-she felt like they were getting... pulled together. Happiness sparked her once again once she settled down, waiting for him to join.

Limoncello smirked, though tried to wipe all evilness off of it. Take no chances now. "Glad you like it," He whispered in her ear, hid tail slowly making its way forward. He knew he'd lured her in pretty deep, and at this point, there was no way she was leaving her state. I've got her where I want her, but that's no excuse to become lazy and careless. As she settled down, he lay next to her, the leaves of the bush providing the perfect cover. The moment couldn't have been more beautiful - you know, if he'd actually loved her.

"Oh - fox dung!" He suddenly exclaimed, the smirk disappearing from his face. "I forget to get us fresh-kill!" He glanced at Rippletail, mustering the most guilty eyes he could. "You don't mind, do you? Because if you're hungry I could run out and get a rabbit or something... Onto WindClan territory, so exposed, where every danger can come and attack me...!" He knew the best way to avoid doing something was to mention it, then list all of the reasons why you shouldn't do it - but without letting the other person know. It works every time. I suggest going and getting something, I pretend to be afraid, and we go to bed sooner - and she goes to sleep hungry! Genius! His gaze locked into hers, his guilty eyes never losing their charm.

"I love it." She whispered, eyes locked on his. 'Should I ask? What if he says no to join Riverclan? And... to be my mate?' Rippletail imagined him declining, and gave an un-noticing shake of a head, before resting it on his shoulder, tail lifting up and down. She searched his gaze, eyes loving like they had been through-out the session

At Lemoncello's almost threat, she bolted up. "N-no!" Rippletail exclaimed. "I-I could get some..." she said, pressing her head back in place. "What would you like?" The molly asked, hoping it wouldn't be a rabbit; they were much too fast, and the trouble of doing so would be large. "I can get you anything you want." Rippletail purred, opposing her thoughts.

Limoncello thought for a moment. What do I want? "Well, I'm ok with anything, honestly, just not fish." He was aware that was probably all she knew how to hunt, but he needed to know what she was capable of. He didn't want to face off against her, of have her suspect he was lying. If I know what she can and can't do, it'll be easier to get at her weaknesses, but I can also help her with it, throwing suspicion off of myself. He glanced up at her, his tail now stroking his chin. "Thank you love."

When Rippletail left, Limoncello would have more time alone with his thoughts. I can actually devise a real plan instead of just going with the flow. He had no intentions of running off while she was gone; he had unfinished business with her he needed to get to. Besides, he wanted to see how in love she'd get with him. If she's already in this deep, everything else should be easy! He smiled up at her, trying to get Rippletail on her way without saying a word. In his case, eyes were enough to get his point across.

Rippletail let out a purr. "Of course!" She trilled, rubbing her head against him, before getting up. "I'll try to come back as soon as possible." The molly said, before dashing out at the secret order. The breeze hit her pelt, ruffling it. She felt wildly uncomfortable, and her pelt stood mildly out. 'Now just have to find something....' all the scent she could smell was the stench of Windclan

A skinny rabbit shot into view. Rippletail shot after it, moving as fast as possible. The rabbit scurried down a burrow after she had run mildly far. Panting, she looked for more, catching her breath.

Rippletail came back with a young hare; which took a while to find. She droppped it at his paws. "Need... do you need anything else?" The molly purred happily.

Limoncello smirked as she left, pleased with himself. Things couldn't be going better, and the show was just about to get interesting. I can't wait for tonight. If she falls for my tricks this easily, what's up next will be a breeze! For the while she was gone, he'd thought up multiple courses of action he could take, and they all sounded devilish. He didn't know which to chose, so he went with the easiest option out of them all. It's such a shame she ran off with me. She could've had a much better life in RiverClan, with a father who actually cared about his kits!

When Rippletail returned, he tried to look as normal as possible. He smiled up at her, nodding at the hare. "A lovely catch!" He exclaimed, actually a bit surprised she'd managed to catch a rabbit. She's got skills here. Hunting won't be an issue. He beckoned her to sit by him, patting the empty spot next to him. "Come, and we'll share a nice meal together." He said it as carefree as possible, but so many thoughts were racing through his mind, it was nearly impossible. Though if she gets suspicious, it's all you fault... Shaking his head to clear the thoughts, he grinned at her, mentally willing her to join him.

Rippletail was hungry, but was still disgusted by the taste of fur and the taste of the prey in general. "I'm good." She replied, but settled next to Lemoncello, fur easily touching his. "Do you need water?" The molly asked. She wanted to make him happy, if she wanted to become mates with him, she needed to do some work for him. "I could get you anything you need." Rippletail chirped happily and lovingly.

The molly was ready to leap up and do as he asked. Resting her head on Lemoncello's shoulder, she was purring happily. (I'm watching a show, so my posts probably will be short)

Limoncello shrugged, then tore into the rabbit. He tried to eat as quietly and politely as possible, but since he never actually ate with anyone, it wasn't exactly the most pleasant sight. Hopefully she doesn't really mind... Nonetheless, the creature was gone in heartbeats, and he licked his lips, satisfied. "Tasty," He murmured, he himself leaning into Rippletail. "And thank you, but I'm fine." He was ready to curl up and go to sleep, for the light outside was slowly dying. And I'm quite tired as it is...

Limoncello turned to the she-cat, eyes locking again. "It's getting pretty late..." He said in a low, soothing voice. "What do you say we go to sleep soon?" He lay one paw on top of another, fluffing up his fur again. It was more of a defence against the cold then an attempt to impress Rippletail; he'd already nailed that part. There isn't much else to stay for, though. If I run off now, I could watch her little heart break from a distance... though I've got something much better planned. As night fell, he become even more confident in his plans, but the last thing he needed was for the she-cat to go to sleep

Watching Lemoncello eat, it was.... strange. But Rippletail pushed it aside. "Of course!" She meowed lovingly. The sky was turning ripe black, it looking like dying embers at night. It looked beautiful. The molly looked back at the tom, rubbing her head to his fur. "Your right." The Riverclan she-cat purred, settling down next to him.

"Is it ok if we do now?" Rippletail asked, curling her tail around his body, her head still laying in the place. Closing her green eyes, she slowly felt darkness infiltrating through her. The last thought until the sleep clinged onto her mind was the intense love she felt for Lemoncello. And 'nothing' could change that. No matter what.

Limoncello pushed aside the remains of his dinner, too full to finish it. He forced another purr, letting Rippletail lean against him. He just sat and waited, waited for the molly to go to sleep, though he didn't have to wait very long. Soon, she was out cold, fast asleep with her head on his shoulder. Probably dreaming about what a wonderful mate I'd be. Phf. Those can stay dreams. He carefully adjusted his body position, making sure not to wake the RiverClan she, until they were facing each other. His smirked, proud of himself, as he himself settled down.

Limoncello tried giving in to the darkness, but sleep just wouldn't come. His thoughts spun, one after the other, of all the things that could happen. It could go according to plan, of course, but just one wrong move can spoil it all... Or it could be helpful, and create a new, better plan. Or... They rambled on, coming in fast and furious, and he didn't know how to stop them; his thoughts usually didn't run away with themselves. And they need to stop! He sighed quietly, then closed his eyes, hoping and wishing for the darkness to overtake his chaotic mess of a mind.

The sunlight stroked gentle droplets of brightness into the bush, yet enough to wake her. Rippletail opened her eyes to the warmth of the Warriors Den, far into the territory of Riverclan. But no. She woke up to the bush, before recalling what had happened! 'Lemoncello!' The molly jerked up, before letting out a soft purr, trying not to wake the tom whom she had become so love-struck over.

Hunger seemed to wake for her, and would probally do so for Lemoncello. Getting up to try to attempt to catch something. It was, honestly, hard for her to catch the swift-footed prey of the moor, and she seemed to always run toward where the wind came, and she had trouble breathing from that. But no matter, she got up to hunt. The smell of Windclan still overwhelmed her, but the very slightest of, a thrush, was it?, no matter, came to her.

Limoncello had slept soundly through the night. His large meal beforehand had helped, and also because he'd just been tired. By the time he woke up, morning sunshine was piercing through the makeshift walls of their den, and its brightness nearly blinded him. Groggily, he opened his eyes, using his paws to shield him from the light. Morning already? He yawned, beginning to stretch, and only then did he realize that Rippletail was missing. What?!

Limoncello bolted upright, his thoughts racing. She's gone? But... how? I'm supposed to do the heartbreaking, not her! Oh, if I ever get my paws on that dirty, lying cheater ever again -! But as they swam, he knew he had to look at the factual side. She's probably just... out hunting. Yeah, that's it. Though he wasn't convinced, he cautiously padded outside, looking for his 'mate'. It was even brighter out here, and he had to narrow his eyes so he could see. The stench of WindClan was everywhere, and he wrinkled his nose in disgust. That's an unpleasant scent. How do they live with it? With all of that aside, though, he searched the area for Rippletail, trying to find her as fast as possible.

It wasn't long until Limoncello spotted her beautiful pelt, and he sighed with relief. See? She's just out getting us breakfast. He didn't interfere with her hunting, as that was always rude, and instead crouched inside a nearby bush to watch. He knew she could hunt, but wanted to know how well. Will it take her multiple tries? After all, she's used to fish, not land prey! He just waited there, hoping she'd do something great to prove his negative thoughts wrong.

Rippletail watched the feathery creature, hunger gleaming in her eyes. She was unaware of Lemoncello's burning and eager gaze, as the molly bunched her haunches. Pushing back with her hind legs, the molly leapt near the bird, missing

A frown formed on her face, Rippletail turned around, looking for more prey. His yellowish tabby pelt was hidden in another bush. "Lemoncello? Are you ok?" Her worried mew rang across the silent moor, followed by footsteps as she anxiously approached the tom she had become Moon-Struck over.

Limoncello winced as Rippletail missed, adding that to his growing list of her disabilities. Tsk tsk. She can only hunt creatures without legs. Not surprising, but still sad. He had hoped she would show more potential, being able to catch the bird, but she had just let him down. He gave an inaudible sigh, shaking his head slightly in a disappointing way. How she will recover is unknown to me. I hope she can made it through her first breakup...

Limoncello raised his ears as his 'mate' called out for him. He gave another small sigh before standing up and showing himself. She can't even go a few heartbeats without me anymore. There's no way she'll survive it. "Yes honey, I'm right here." He stepped out until they were touching again, his tail rubbing gently the underside of her chin. "Don't worry." Fireflare padded close to the border, the familiar scent of fresh water from Riverclan hitting his nose. It all felt so familiar to him now. A lot had happened, and he hadn't seen Honeypool in awhile because of that.
The evil era had happened and he had not been a cat that had helped much. While he and his brother did have blood on their paws, they didn't kill just for fun. Him and his brother made themselves look like heros but there were certain cats that lives had to be lost at their claws to do that. While other clans were learning to rebuild themselves, the brothers were thriving with their new reputation.
Fireflare had not been able to see Honeypool since the evil era had started, be nothing in him had changed much. There were new scars littering his body, though his fur was kept clean, his ginger fur groomed and sleek against his thin frame. His green eyes scanned the border, searching for the shecat he was leading on and on until he grew bored.

Shuffling through the forest with the tiny pitter patters of paws against the soil was a orange ginger who's fur would get brighter when exposed to sunlight, like freshly made honey dripping out of a honeycomb into a sweet pool on the leafy ground. It seemed it has been ages since she risked wandering over to WindClan's border to meet up with a tom whose gaze set her cheeks ablaze. She has missed their meetings just as much as she hoped he missed them as well, but the invasion of evil cats taking over the higher ranks kept her away in fear of any punishment she would have to endure for interacting with a cat who isn't from her clan. Sometimes, involuntarily as she thought about him, her body would become in tune with how she excited she was and her calm stroll would turn into a gleeful trot and her tail would extend her tail to the sky until she corrected herself and continued on her way. Her eyes were wide, scanning the flora for a red pelt among the green vegetation and her twitchy nose trying to sniff out a WindClan cat that could potentially be him. Finally after a moment of searching, she spotted a red tom who looked as if he was searching for something, possibly her. She flicked her tail in amusement. She began to approach, she noticed scars that were strewn on his body. Maybe this isn't him, maybe it's brother, she thought. She stopped and looked at her feet, debating if she should turn back to RiverClan unsuccessfully.

He hadn't killed as many as he brother had, unlike his brother Fireflare felt guilt on his shoulders of every life he took whether he admit it or not. He looked back up at the molly, his eyes sincere,"Our past leader was weak of old age, there were so many cats rising she wasn't strong enough to defend them off or plan correctly." he mewed. he was lying between his teeth but he tone was very believable. "I'm glad you're okay, I was worried about you. You still look as pretty as when I first saw you."

Just as naive as she was before, Honeypool believed each word that rolled off of his tongue. With an innocent smile and hiding her cheeks to make sure he didn't see her embarrassment from his compliment, she says"I was worried about you too. And I am sorry about what happened with Dapplestar, I'm sure she was a fine leader and hope that your current one will do just as a good job as she did." In her clan, Russetstar was the new leader and seemed to be a good leader. "I am glad it is all over. Perhaps we will be able to experience more peaceful times in our lives." she said, looking up at the sky. "Maybe I'll also be able to see you a bit more now."

In reality he though Dappletar was weak and had been leader to long for Windclan to be strong and was glad when she stepped down from leadership. He didn't care for Blazingstar either, but atleast they would make Windclan strong again. He grinned at her words,"I'd be happy to see you more often now. I'm glad to know you're safe after what had happened." he purred sweetly.

"I'm a bit surprised myself how i was able to stay safe from where i was." she said with a sigh. "Other cats who still had their morals and was too afraid to fight fled the clan in a hurry to different locations. Some became loners and hung low, some went to different clans in hopes it's better over there than in RiverClan and then others left for Twolegplace. A majority of the clan is returning, but others are staying where they are." she stopped her rant to take a breath and finish with "So, in other words, RiverClan is in need of repair as much as WindClan." she stood and wandered around the small area that they were in to gaze at white scenery that would wet their pelts and freeze their paws. She continued speaking as she took a moment to use her back leg to scratch something on her "Well, besides leaders, good and bad, how has life been treating you up 'till now?"

The Windclan warrior listened and nodded his head every once in awhile as she spoke. he listened carefull to any little detail she gave about Riverclan. His thick ginger tail swept across the cold ground, ruffling up snow and it landing in Honeypools area she was wandering. "Life has been better then before i suppose. He knew exactly why. he had been leaving camp for awhile now during days like this, or talking to other cats that he had not bothered with his brother recently. Siblings are supposed to be there for each other through thick and thin and forgive each other no matter what situation happens. " she has been distant with her own siblings, perhaps longer than Fire and his brother. Perhaps it's time for her to talk with them sometime, which is an issue she has, starting conversations. Then how is she able to talk to him so easily. Looking at him, she asks, "Do you remember back when i first stepped over the border?" her eyes brightened as she thought about it. "I was chasing some prey that crossed it before i had. I was so focused on getting it I didn't notice I wasn't in RiverClan until I finally killed it and looked around." she chuckled to herself at her own silliness. "Now, it's a bit of a funny story, but back then I was really scared of the amount of trouble I could get into." she smiles sweetly at him, "Thank you for finding me before someone terrible did."

He wouldn't "tattle tale" on Honeypool, as if he did that then he wouldn't be able to see her anymore, and that meant no updating news from Riverclan either. He didn't know why he played these games, leading shecats on until he was done with them once they served his purpose. "I wouldn't let another Windclan cat hurt you."

Honeypool purred approvingly at his words. "Thank you, your words make me a bit safer to cross the border to meet you." A somewhat dangerous line for a cat to say. Being comfortable with breaking a rule is how issues between clans arise and other rules begin to break. Hopefully she won't go down this path of brushing off risky behavior to be with a cat who she is starting to have a fancy for. "They are many scary cats in the forest that are from a clan or not, I'm certain WindClan isn't an exception. You're not very unintimidating yourself, now and then." she says, in a bit of a teasing matter. "When I first saw you, I was certain I was going to StarClan that day for sure. I almost passed out right there." she continued to laugh at her cowardly behavior. Of course, her fearfulness hasn't changed and she never thinks it will. However she enjoys the moments in her life where she can drop her guard and turn into a playful and sweet little molly, even if it's only for small moments like these. Maybe that's why she is so driven to see Fireflare so much and when she saw him again after the era has come to an end, her mental and emotional armor practically collapsed on the both of them for being held up so highly it was pretty exhausting and not fun for her to do so.

He couldn't help but chuckled and feel slightly prideful at her words. He looked..intimidating? That was new. "When I first saw you I thought I was in Starclan." he replied smoothly with a smile. His ginger tail swept the ground. His tail was the only thing that told his brother and him apart, his brothers tail being a more crooked shape. "You looked confused and it seemed like you didn't mean Windclan any harm which is why I didn't attack you." while his words were as positive as the mood right now the meaning was somewhat dark. It implied that at any moment he could attack her if he really wanted to at any given moment, seeing as they are practically sitting on the border between the two of their clans. he couldn't help but notice how sweet and kind the molly seemed to be,oblivious to the toms true intentions or personality.Good.

Honeypool let out a giggle and turned her head as she felt her fur grow red, hearing him speak. It's as if every time he would spill out flattering admiration on her appearance and behavior, he would always know the right words to say to make turn back on her timidness and her desire to hide her face. Whether he was doing this on purpose or not, she wasn't too sure. All she knew was how heated she felt, she couldn't feel the coldness of the snow around her paws in that moment, it was as if her body's intensity melted it all around her. She could even she her fast breathing in front of her, all white and translucent one minute and then all gone the next. After she believed she was officially calmed down, she resumed their conversation with a question that has been gnawing at her brain since they reunited. However her guesstimate on her levels on composure were off as the moment she began to talk she was stumbling over her words. "F-F-Fireflare?" she started, internally realizing her error, "I-I have a question to a-ask of you." she looked up at him, with big yellow eyes. "What are we?"

His ears twitched at her giggle, deciding he liked the sound of it. He smiled, which has been a rare sight ever since they had started meeting each other. usually he grinned or smirked, something that suited his character more. It seemed smug and confident and so far that's what he was,but a smile. A smile seemed more softer, genuine, sincere. Which wasn't him at all,but there was no smugness on his face,no smug grins or smirks but a soft smile. A rarity. His tail flickered at the question though his gaze on her was unwavering, his green eyes boring into her yellow ones. "I really like seeing you," this, surprisingly, was true,"and I would like to keep seeing you." this was also true, but not for the intentions she may think he means. He was dancing around the subject,he might as well tell her what she wants to hear,"And I would be blunt to tell you I have feelings for you,but it is true." False.

Birdsong nodded biting a few thorns off of his pelt. He bled a bit but he ignored it. "Well you probably aren't cold anymore." He pulled the last thorn out there goes my chance of flirting with her. he shook his head and yawned laying down and resting his head on his paws. He lashed his tail around.

Honeypool felt nervous as she waited for his answer. She stood up and straight and slightly brought her face away from him. However, upon hearing his answer, she turned her face back to him and couldn't help but release a smile that was filled with euphoria and relief. She was so afraid that he would reject her or laugh in her face for her question, but it was the exact opposite. Honeypool suddenly noticed something different with her body. It felt as if she ate a moth whole and it's still alive in her belly, making her become nervous. She never had this feeling before, so she has no idea how to deal with it. She began to shrink away, pinning her ears back. She wanted to say something to him, but her maw felt like it was glued together. She looked intently at him. Her mouth was silent, but her eyes were alive with words.

Feeling his fur brushing up against her's caused her to heat up, thawing her mouth from being frozen. She still shook, but felt a bit better. She smiled sweetly and began to softly purr, swishing her tail blissfully. She truly felt like she was in StarClan. Yet, at the back of her mind she felt something tugging at her ears, telling her how bad this, how she shouldn't be feeling this way towards a cat that wasn't in her clan. Do you have no Clan loyalty? Do I have Clan loyalty? Suddenly she rises from her place and, after shaking some snow off her golden fur, she turns back to Fireflare with apologetic and sorrowful eyes she mews abjectly, "I'm sorry, Fireflare. But I think that maybe it is time for me to go back." she knew how long they've been apart and she is trying to leave him again. She felt guilt for it in her belly, like a knot or a big rock was in it, but she couldn't stay like this. What if cats become suspicious? What if their relationship excels which results in... additions to the forest? She didn't seem afraid of the consequences before, but now that she remembered, the thought could make her shake. She starts to walk towards RiverClan, being lead by the paw prints she left earlier. She looks behind with a sad flick of her tail and softly mews, "Goodbye, Fireflare."

The tom smiled as her reaction at first. He felt prideful to have someone to close to him,her fur against him felt pleasant he admitted. But his mood shifted slowly has hers had, watching her expression. he could note her discomfort he had brought her,how close they were and felt slightly frustrated when she got up from where she was. He got up from his own spot and had started walking toward his clan territory Windclan, his ginger fur blazing against the white snow beneath. He felt frusterate. Had he done something wrong? He gazed back at her, longing in his eyes for a long moment. Staring across the border that unfortunately divided them. He turned back and continued walking, his fluffed tail fur dragging against the ground. The cool leaf-bare air chilled his pelt slightly as he kept going, leaving the border, the division, behind.

It stung Honeypool watching him leaving as well. She wondered how much confusion she had just cause the tom. If only she could tell him her actions weren't because of him. She didn't suddenly jump up to leave because she didn't like him. She did like him, in fact she liked much more than she thought he knew. So badly she wanted to pour out her feelings to him, tell him three simple words that could mean so much to a cat, I love you.
Alas, she didn't have time to confess her feelings. Without thinking she got up and decided she was leaving. Maybe if he had at least objected to her taking off so suddenly she would be able to say more before deserting him. She didn't respond to his question, however she did turn back and look at him before wandering back over again to the border. However, she didn't immediately go back to RiverClan, she lingered around. She waited until she could no longer the flamey pelt of his disappear from her vision. She attempted to walk around in place to see if she could see him anymore. When confirmed that she couldn't, she took a deep breath and brought herself back onto RiverClan territory.

Though it went against everything he stood for, Limoncello gave a nod at her request. He had absolutely no interest in eating fish, but needed to jeep her self confidence up. I think I'll just skip breakfast today. But if fishing is gonna help her, then so be it. Rippletail's head fit perfectly in his shoulder, as he'd recently found out, and seemed to be where she mostly leaned into him. He took that into notice, continuing to rub his tail over her chin in a soothing way. Good to note.

Mistyfoot trekked through the brush, a huge vole and two mice in her jaws. She had definitely gone too close to the Windclan border, and really doubted her decision. She had gotten tired of hunting and eating fish for the past moon, as for some reason that was all she managed to catch and scrape up to eat. Riverclan was doing fine on prey, she just happened to be out on late night hunts far too often. She didn't want any cat to suspect her of sneaking off at night, so she only fished. She felt proud of herself for catching good woodland prey after so much fishing, but she had gone so deep into Riverclan territory. Finally, after her paws were shaking, she decided to rest among the roots of a tree. She hid her prey under an arched root, and sat down, leaning against the big trunk of the tree. She looked around herself. She hadn't been here for a while. She could clearly see Windclan territory, and was wondering if she should've gone this far.

Wildpath fluffed up her pelt, although it was not much good, as her fur was short and thin, but she didn't mind the cold. Sighing, the warrior padded along the border with RiverClan, wishing that her friend, who had retired early then died was still here. She'd enjoyed talking with him, and missed him quite a bit. She would go hunting, but there was very little prey, and even so, she wasn't the bet hunter due to her inability to see where the prey was. She paused, having scented a very strong smell of both RiverClan and prey. She raised her head, jaws parted as she drew in the scents, quickly discovering where they came from. The cloudy eyed brown molly sat down near the border, keeping her eyes narrowed to hide that she couldn't actually see. She wondered who was there, and if they were hostile or not. Wildpath knew that during leafbare, cats tended to be rather hostile due to the scarceness of prey, and she flicked her ears warily, waiting to hear if the cat had noticed her, sitting close to the border, staring blindly in the cat's general direction.

Mistyfoot stood up and stretched her limbs. She had better be getting back to camp and stop being lazy. As she got up, she sniffed the crisp air, hoping there would at least be a scrawny mouse around so she could catch it and make up for her laziness. She could smell a stale scent of rabbit, and some birds, but also a Windclan cat close by. Mistyfoot doubted there was a Windclan cat on Riverclan territory, but her fur stood on end anyways. She crouched down into the ferns and brambles, and looked around. First, she could only see bushes, bracken, a scrawny mouse scuffling into the crack of a rock.. But then, her eyes rested on a thin furred Windclan cat. It was on the Windclan territory, so she didn't exactly mind as much. But she knew, if it stepped paw on Riverclan territory, it wouldn't leave without a fight. Mistyfoot didn't want to deal with it or have it notice her, so she simply stood up and picked up her fresh kill. She watched the cat one last time before setting off to leave. The cat had an eerily familiar. Before leaving, she sat down her prey once more and began to wash herself.

Her tail tip twitched as she opened her mouth the speak. She nodded, and replied, "Fine...." as she stood up. It was stupid of her not to disguise her scent but clearly it didn't matter anymore. Once Mistyfoot was up, she noticed the Windclan cat had crossed the border. Does she know? she thought. Immediately, she knew she had to say something. "You're on Riverclan's border, if you'd like to know." Mistyfoot's fur bristled as her gaze focused on the new cat. Her tail twitched side to side, ready for battle if it would come.

Mistyfoot continued focusing her gaze across the border. The cat was just standing there. Suddenly, the strange cat spoke. Mistyfoot flicked her ears at the seeming kind greeting.
Wildpath blinked, waiting for the RiverClan cat's response, and when it came, it was not what she had expected. Scenting the air, she realized that it was true, and backed up until she was back on WindClan territory. “Sorry. I should've been more careful.” she replied hastily, ducking her head lick her chest fur in embarrassment. She could hear the faint bristle of fur, and felt bad that she was the cause of it. Flicking an ear, she sat down on her haunches, staring blindly towards the cat's voice, moving her gaze from time to time, hoping to cover up her lack of sight, as she didn't like to appear weak or different from any other cat, and the best way to do that would be to make sure they don't know that she isn't the same. The tabby listened carefully, her ears swiveling about constantly.

Mistyfoot nodded as the new cat stepped back onto her territory. "No problem... but learn your borders." Mistyfoot gazed at the slightly familiar she cat. "I hope the prey is running okay for you as well?" Mistyfoot added cautiously. She didn't want to be too harsh, so she tried to ease the conversation. The cat seemed quite friendly, so she thought it shouldn't be a problem. Mistyfoot looked back toward her camp. She could hardly hear the rushing water, she thought she must be far.

She wondered if RiverClan cats were always this tense, then shook her head, blinking. “It is.” she replied, fluffing up her pelt so that her ribs didn't show as well through her thin fur, staring at where she thought the cat was, but she was actually looking a tail length above the molly's head. Twitching her ears, she sat down, wrapping her tail neatly over her paws, trying to figure out why this molly was faintly familiar to her.

Ferretpaw padded through the territory with huge eyes. She'd never been outside camp before this day, and thoughts were streaming through her head. All doubts about herself and worries had washed away, for now at least.
The territory was so big! It might be mostly bare and filled with bushes instead of trees as she had hoped a bit, but it was still great. That meant more chances to run, and that was what Ferretpaw so far were best at. And certainly she did run. She knew Blazingstar were probably behind her, and certainly hoped so, since once she came a few meters out of camp, she began running. Not to get away from Blazingstar, not at all, but to get as far from camp as possible. She wanted to see the territory and at the same time be as far away from her bullies as possible. She were already a quick runner, however surely not as fast as Blazingstar. She expected him to catch up to her.
Without realizing it, the young apprentice had ran for quite a while, mostly in her own thoughts. Coming closer and closer to the RiverClan border, she did not realize this. And if not stopped in her running, she would probably run straight into the other clan.

For all he knew, this cat could have been a loner traveling on RiverClan's territory and crossed into his clan's, which, to his knowledge, meant that he had to escort her out? He wasn't entirely sure; it wasn't often he conversed with other cats due to his past therefore slowly and somewhat diminishing his remembrance of the warrior code a little.

Blazingstar was just padding out of the camp entrance and suddenly lost sight of his apprentice. Puzzled for a moment, he realized that she had darted away almost as soon as she hit the territory. Some mentor I am... losing my apprentice within the first hours of taking her on, he thought to himself before his legs picked his pace up and he too was shooting across the territory. His mouth was parted slightly to keep scent of her until he was sure he was gaining.
As he assumed, his golden hues were locked on the small feline and his legs gave a wider span to race across the moors quicker. His already long claws extended, giving him a traction boost. Scents of Riverclan were coming close and Blazingstar was desperate. "Ferretpaw, wait!" he yowled, pushing himself harder and harder until he was racing up next to her. Without thinking, the young leader dove in front of her, his forepaws wrapped around her neck and causing both their bodies to go tumbling to the ground. Blazingstar's hues closed and he physically curled up around the apprentice the best he could to avoid her getting injuries as they rolled across the ground.
Finally the two felines came to a halt right on the border of Windclan and Riverclan. When Blazingstar was sure they were safe, he released his apprentice and got to his paws, panting roughly to catch his breath. His pelt was ruffled and covered in wet dirt, but after a good shake, he was just ruffled and shaking. His tail was limp behind him, touching the ground with ease due to it's length. "Ferretpaw, you... you can't just run.... across the moors aimlessly," he panted, calming down a little bit as his lungs filled with fresh air. The ginger tabby wasn't shaking as bad now and his posture slowly slowly improved as he looked over Ferretpaw. "Are you okay?" he finally asked after realizing that she might've gotten a few scratches or gotten a little hurt due to his stunt. He sure hoped not.

Being the new apprentice she were, Ferretpaw had no idea what so ever, that she were at the border by now. She had just felt the need to run, as fast and as far as she could. She didn't mean to run -this- far however, but were taken greatly by surprise as Blazingstar ran in front of her and stopped her the way he did. Giving out a loud squeal of surprise, she rolled around with Blazingstar until he succeeded in stopping them. Becoming completely confused and scared that she might have done something completely wrong, she got a panicked look in her eyes. Were someone after them? What had happened!?
Peering down her body when she were asked if she were hurt, she realized a stone might have scratched her lightly by her left hind leg, but she didn't really feel the pain. Her skin were already used to being scratched around there, so she didn't take much notice.
"N.. No, I'm fine" She mumbled, still shocked by what had just happened. "Wh.. What happened? Did I do something wrong?" She asked, looking up at him with partly terrified eyes, quickly giving him the elevator look to see if he himself had been hurt. Considering he had shielded her, she were worried he might have gotten hurt himself.
Ducking her head and putting her fore-paws over it, she began her apologizing. Being used to being falsely accused of doing something wrong, she had gotten into the habit of apologizing whenever something happened.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do anything wrong" She began, feeling extremely embarrassed of having caused this to happen on her first time out of camp. She could have seen it coming. She always ended up in trouble, though it mostly wasn't her fault, or she did not know she were doing something wrong.

Blazingstar let out a little sigh of relief. If something were to have happened to her, he wouldn't forgive himself, not after Maplepaw. Her disappearance has turned him into a slightly more strict mentor, however for Ferretpaw, that simply meant a little more protective than he should be. He knew that mentor-apprentice relationships were close, but he wasn't aiming for the accidental fatherly care that he was showing. Over time that was going to increase, but without him really noticing.
"You didn't do anything wrong except give me a scare. We're on the Riverclan border," he spoke, his breath was coming back making his voice stronger. "That's why you can't aimlessly run until you know your borders. Crossing them could lead to battles and right now every clan is on fairly neutral terms. I can't afford to cause problems with Russetstar right now," he spoke. Some of that shouldn't have been spoken, but he at least kept it in terms for the young apprentice to understand. Blazingstar couldn't be mad at her, she reminded him of himself as a smaller apprentice. He simply didn't want her making the same mistake he had by running across that Thunderpath.
The orange tabby crouched down and brought himself forward towards her. By now she was hiding her face and he couldn't help but give her a little nudge of encouragement. "You don't need to apologize, you didn't mean to do anything so don't worry about it," he gave her shoulder a comforting lick before lifting himself back to his paws and looking down at her. "Now uncover your face and we can keep exploring," he spoke. His voice was calm, signifying he really wasn't mad at her.

Opening her mouth, she took a deep breath, taking in the crisp, cold air that made her lungs ache and throat dry, but nonetheless, it felt good to her. She'd always wanted to know, but had never had the chance for two reasons; for one, she lived in WindClan, too far from any rivers, and for another thing, she couldn't see a river even if she was right beside one.

Done with that, she swivelled her ears around, listening. “I should probably get back to camp soon.” she said after a brief hesitation, then tilted her head. “When will you next be patrolling this border you think?” she added, her voice growing slightly playful, more like the voice of a young apprentice than a warrior.

Something inside her told her it wasn't in her nature to uphold borders, she should rather be free and roaming the whole fores. Sitting up straight quickly and shaking her head, she tried to get that thought out of her head. What had that just been? She was a WindClan apprentice, nothing more or nothing less. Why shouldn't she stick to borders? The thought bothered her.
Turning around to look over the border, she spotted the river in RiverClan territory. "How do they live like that, swimming and fishing?" She asked, her curiosity coming back, as if she'd almost forgotten about her thoughts and how she had almost darted straight across a border on her first time out on the territory. She was actually quite curious on RiverClan, and had a secret wish to learn to swim someday. That was probably far out in the future, if she ever got the chance.
The young apprentice wanted to uphold the law of borders. She wanted to be loyal to the bottom of her heart. Which had also caused her to never run out of camp whenever she were bullied, which she had been tempted to do a lot of times, but had stuck to the warrior code. Somehow, being an orphan that all the queens in the nursery had hated, had made her always have the warrior code in the back of her mind. It was as if she could recite it at any given moment. So it really did embarrass her that she had almost darted into enemy territory, especially with the leader of her clan as her mentor.
"Sorry Blazingstar.. What are we seeing next?" She asked, trying to get on.

Blazingstar let out a little sigh of relief as her curious nature began to come back. Fixing his posture, the leader looked as he normally did. Although with such a rough leaf-bare, it was almost noticeable that his long pelt was hanging off his frame, something that happened to most cats, but due to his nature, it appeared more so on the leader than anyone else. He had nine lives to give, it believed that if anyone should starve, he should because he would come back unlike his clan mates. So far, that hadn't been the case and he hadn't lost anyone, but it was always in the back of his mind.
"Well I'm not sure. I believe that if you grew up in Riverclan, you'd see swimming as a normal thing just as we deal with wind and being in the open better than any other clan. Shadowclan deals with the marshes and Thunderclan with dense undergrowth," he spoke, nonchalantly teaching a lesson, however he assumed she knew all this from kit stories. Although seeing as she had no known family, perhaps she never knew what territories each clan lived in. Blazingstar would've mentioned Skyclan, the newest clan to the forest, but he himself didn't know where they settled. All he knew was they were by the shadowy forest of the Dusk Syndicate, but since he'd never been around there, he had no idea what type of territory they lived in. Concluding his thoughts there, he turned towards the direction of the rest of the border, but his golden hues looked at Ferretpaw.
"Well point in a direction and we'll see where you lead us!" he gave a small chuckle and let his whiskers twitch. Sure, she was getting a tour of the territory, but he wanted to her feel free enough to decide which way she wanted to go.

If you had grown up in RiverClan. Ferretpaw pondered that for a while. What if. What if she had? Would she like it there? She pondered that for a while. Having lived most of her kithood in her little bush, it had become quite dense in the leaf-fall season, with all the rain and such. The bush had sheltered her little nest, but each time she had to go in and out of the opening, her fur had become half drenched. It was uncomfortable for her. What if she'd grown up having to swim almost every day? One word: Uncomfortable.
The young cat didn't actually know that much about the different clans. She had done her best to stay away from the nursery to avoid bullying and harassment, so she had not heard many tales, if any. The only tales she had heard were the ones the kits had played out in their clearing when they played pretend. So as now, she knew the names of the clan leaders, but that was mostly it. And to top it off, something she did now know was that most of these leaders had stepped down during her kithood, so her knowledge was not even on point anymore.
Peering around them, she tried to determine which way would be most fun to go. To her it seemed like the way to the right lead to the outskirts and the shore, and that didn't really seem tempting. She wanted to learn more border scents. So instead she began heading towards ShadowClan territory

(:3 Sorry, mine's short too; writer's block :wut:)
( Hugz )

Though it went against everything he stood for, Limoncello gave a nod at her request. He had absolutely no interest in eating fish, but needed to jeep her self confidence up. I think I'll just skip breakfast today. But if fishing is gonna help her, then so be it. Rippletail's head fit perfectly in his shoulder, as he'd recently found out, and seemed to be where she mostly leaned into him. He took that into notice, continuing to rub his tail over her chin in a soothing way. Good to note.
(I shall quote)

(Ahhh, sorry so late & short!)
Rippletail let out a purr, even though she didn't want to, the molly lifted her head. "I'll be back as soon as I can!" She purred, before racing back to Riverclan territory. The moist ground felt comfortable and familiar under her paws, and quickly a stream came into view. Rippletail crouched down, eyes lighting up as the silver fish, it's scales reflecting by the sun to cause a glitter. She waited for just the right moment, before scooping it out with unsheathed claws, slamming it against the ground before going for the killing bite.

The molly picked the fish up, before trotting back to there sleeping place for the night. She bounded up to Lemoncello, before gently setting down the scaley piece of prey. (Should we make the kit Finder? Idk how long it takes for cats XD.)
