Mouse yawned and stretched open her eyes. She was only 2 moons old and already on her own. She often heard yowls coming from the forest and longed to join them but she knew she would be shredded. She did not belong there. She was alone from the moment she could walk and knew how to take care of herself but leafbare was coming and prey was scarce. She knew she had to go into the forest to hunt and was afraid.
