A pale brown molly padded into the camp from the territory, holding a fish in her jaws. Fallow had been hunting a lot since her death though that was most in aggravation. She had been murdered by some stranger that she never met before, and he made her death look like some fox did it - leaving her mate friends to believe that was the case. It was appalling. What had I done to even deserve that? She lashed her tail at the angered thought. Fallow did hope that Mist was alright, and hoped that she wasn't hurt too much due to her death. The only good thing is that I get to be with my mom, The tabby did feel blessed for that fact, she had always feared that she'd end up in the Dark Forest. But now here she was with her mother, he amazing and loving mother. Her orbs seemed to suddenly focus on a silvery molly that was sitting by herself. Her pelt heated up at the sight of her mother in law, getting nervous. Fallow and Petaldown never actually spoke before, they had both only been here for about a moon and their paths had hardly crossed since then. "Hello," the younger molly greeted Petaldown as she approached her.

Not noticing Fallow previously, Petaldown was surprised by the sudden greeting. "Oh hello," she gave the other cat a friendly smile. After a few heartbeat she started to recognize the former loner. "I've seen you before... you're Mistpaw's friend, right?" She questioned as she looked the ecru tabby up and down. They were close, she was Mistpaw's only friend besides Stormpaw - he was a nice tom... did they ever become mates? When she was alive Petaldown had silently wished that Mistpaw and Stormpaw would end up together, they had been close since kithood and he was the first friend that Mistpaw had ever had. Though since she joined Starclan she had been trying to get the hang of being dead and hasn't had much time to watch over her mate and children... even if Boulderglare was the one that killed her. "Do you have any idea if my daughter is in love? I just want to know, she had become so cold as a kit and seemed to befriend so little - I want to know if she ever found love? I know she was quite close to that Stormpaw...."

Fallow gave a gentle smile as Petaldown asked if she had been Mistpaw's friend. "Oh yes, Mistpaw was my best friend; we were quite close," she let her tone give a slight hint towards her feelings for the molly's daughter. She was glad that the silver cat had remembered her, it would make this a bit easier when she informed her about her deeper relationship with Mistpaw. But before she could start to admit to it, Petaldown asked if Mistpaw happened to be in love, causing Fallow to shut her maw. She carefully listened to the older cat as she went on to explain how little friends Mistpaw had - though Fallow was aware of how cold Mistpaw could be, but also knew how warm and kind she could be when she let her gentler side out. She winced as Stormpaw was brought up. it took a bit after her mother in law finished to get the words right in her head. "Actually, Mistpaw did fall in love, but it wasn't with Stormpaw. Sadly he died in the floods, but she had never loved him in the same way that he had loved her... in fact, she found a mate in someone else," Fallow watched Petaldown's reacts carefully before continuing. "She actually fell in love with... me," she let that sink in for a moment, but then quickly continued. "She left the clans for me since I was being threatened by my sister and a tom that had a crush on me - when we came to age, she became my mate. But about a moon ago, I was suddenly killed by some strange white tom with a black underbelly - like a reverse tuxedo."

When Fallow stated that Mistpaw did in fact find love, a wide smile grew. She tried to image her little stone-hearted kit finding a mate and acting all in love and feeling like how she did with Boulderglare. So she did end up with Stormpaw! But this was instantly killed as Fallow continued as informed her that Syormpaw had been killed. I-I had just assumed that he had ran away with Mistpaw... but then what other tom was she close to? Petaldown pondered on this for a moment, her ears were only listening a bit to Fallow's story as she tried to figure this out. But she did hear who had become the silver and grey cat's mate. "You?" She hardly thought before questioning it. "B-but, you're a molly!" She wasn't exactly against it, but rather just surprised but this news. Her blue orbs looked Fallow up and down once more, now seeing her differently. So you'r just a friend of my daughter's, you'r her mate, making you you my... daughter in law, she had to let this sink in and settle. "So you became mates, and then you were killed? ... Okay, I have some questions first : what's your name again? and second: was she happy with you?" Petaldown could get over the fact that her daughter fell for another molly, just as long as she was actually happy with Fallow. She watched relief wash over the tabby, and she gave an encouraging nod to the second question and claimed her name was Fallow.

Silverheart sat happily in StarClan. No pains, no worries, no problems... But even the youngest kit would know something was up. The clans where falling. ThunderClan and WindClan are burning, and the leaders are struggling. Riverclan and ShadowClan have been seized. these cats will be looking to us... what are we to do! she thought

Jess walked along slowly, thiking of nothing but her adopted daughter. I should never have taken from her sister! Now she and Halestorm will never have had time to understand and love eachother. I should have brought them both or left them... Maybe she could have helped Halestorm... Maybe this wouldn't hve happened, maybe the Clans would be safe, maybe... Jess, listen to yourself! She jumped when she realised she had almost walkied into another cat. "Oh!" She jumped back, startled.

Hazelpaw awoke, lying sprawled across the camp ground. He blinked his hazel tinted eyes in confusion. W-what? Where am I? He thought lifting his head. He gazed around, trying to remember if he had been here before. Not remembering anything he stood up slowly, continuing to gaze around in bewilderment. He saw a group of cats not too far away, and noticed they looked...different. It took the apprentice a moment to realize what was wrong. His eyes flitted fearfully over the stars that dappled the pelts of the cats around him. He then, unwillingly looked down at his own white and brown pelt, that was now dappled with the same stars like the others. "Oh no, oh Starclan, why?" he asked to his ancestors. Then it dawned on him, he was Starclan. Stunned and afraid, he stumbled over to the edge of the clearing and laid down. He sat there, silent tears rolling down his face as he remembered the details of his death. He touched one of his forepaws to the place where Gorseleap's claws had slid through his throat; there was a hairless scar there now. As the tears rolled down his short white nose, he remembered the promise he had made to his mother. 'I'll come back when I'm a warrior. Then we can catch up and be like the mother and son we should have been.'

A small form if a young warrior appeared at the edges of the dark clearing. Nightpelt was the dead warrior's name; beautiful and young, she was barely older than the apprentice that had just became a StarClan warrior, though she had died many moons before the apprentice had even been thought of. Sneaking out of the darkness, and into the light that shed over the small clearing, Nightpelt sighed, seeing the tears streaming down the young cat's face. "Don't cry..." the young she-cat comforted, her voice light and airy, a slight sweetness hidden in her motherly tone. "You're in StarClan now, you are fine now..." Though the she-cat knew how hard it was to die and find yourself in StarClan, she still tried to help the young Hazelpaw. She had died while getting some fresh air in the territory after a few moons of being stuck in the nursery with her kits. Without her knowledge, her son, Cloudyfoot-then Cloudykit- had followed her out to the territory, and she had tried to tell him to run, to save himself while she had fought the rouge. Still being weak from her kitting, Nightpelt lost the battle with the rouge, and found herself in StarClan. The moment that she saw the starry camp, Nightpelt wanted to be back in the nursery with her two kits, and she wanted to save her son, who was being taken by the rouge that had killed her. The queen had almost lost control of her emotions; she had almost burst out yowling and wailing. Luckily, one cat had comforted her; Nightpelt had long forgotten the cat's name, but she remembered her voice, as soft as silk. I know, I died when mine were kits as well, but you'll be fine, along with your son. At first, Nightpelt didnt believe the she-cat, though as time went on the queen fell victim to the truth. "Your mother," Nightpelt muttered to Hazelpaw her ears bent gently against her head, her white-speckled coat starry, "will always love you..." Nightpelt knew that the words she had just spoken were always comfort to any cat who had died, even if they had issues. Nightpelt's speckled black coat bristled at the memory of the day she had died.
Dodge this, slash his hind quarters was all that she thought that horrible day. Soon, the rouge tom's ally appeared, helping the fight. Too powerful... Too strong for a queen to take on by herself. There he was! At the edge of the clearing! Cloudykit, who Nightpelt had mistaken as Shadeclaw for a moment. Then, the rouge went to get him, her son, Cloudykit. She leaped at the rouge, aiming to kill him with a swift blow to the neck. She had completely forgotten the other rouge, who shoved her to the ground, and gave the finishing blow. "I will always love you, Cloudykit!"

Nightpelt shook herself back to the present; Hazelpaw needed her help, and it wouldn't be of any use to feel sorrow for herself. "If you need to cry," the queen whispered, "let it all out, it will help."

Hazelpaw didn't look up at first when Nightpelt had made her way over to him. As soon as she spoke though he immediately remembered his mother's voice from when he had last met her during the flood. It was the most recent, and apparently the last memory that he would have of her. He would never forget his ithers warm embrace, even if it was the first time he had felt it. He had spent his life daydreaming of the days when he would be a warrior and he could meet Ravenstorm in a thunderclan everyday. He knew better than to do it as a kit or an apprentice, which is why he had made that plan for them.that was what he had dreamed of as a kit. He wanted to mend the bond between his Windclan father and Thunderclan mother and experience some good times he could cherish with her, but know he had been killed, and all his dreams had been crushed. He removed his paw from the hairless scar on his throat and turned to look at the she cat.Nightpelt reminded him of his mother, but was younger than Ravenstorm. He sighed at the gentle contact with her and bowed his head. "I know she will, but we were....we were going to spend time with each other once I became a warrior. And then the fires broke out and I-I went out to find her in Thinderclan when I saw the flaming forest. Then I was burned and Gorseleap...Gorseleap was going to help me, but then he attacked and...." He trailed off, again touching the new scar that ran diagonally across his neck. "All I wanted was to get to know her better, and now I'll never see her again." He sighed

Touching her starry tail to Hazelpaw's back, Nightpelt felt a slight remorse for not being able to help him to her full abilities. Though empathy flowed through Nightpelt, she knew that she would never be able to feel the same way as the young tom; he had had two parents from different clans, and an aspiration to get to know them, while Nightpelt hated hers and wanted to forget them. "That is how I felt about my kits... They were so young, and I... And I left them, they barely remember me now..." Nightpelt suddenly felt tears start to roll down her cheeks. The queen tried not to show them, though they stained her pretty face, and made her eyes red. "Sorry," she murmered quietly, "I should be helping you, not crying..." It had been the first time since she had joined StarClan that she had found tears falling from her emerald eyes. "It's a good thing that you love her..." Nightpelt's voice was on the edge of a wail, "because mothers always want to be loved by their kits..." The young queen sighed quietly, "At least now, you can always be with her now, no matter what." Nightpely, herself, had been walking with her two kits since she had died, trying to influence their decisions. She cradled the young apprentice with her tail, "You're in StarClan now, everything will be alright." Nightpelt knew that her words wouldn't be too comforting, since she herself felt as though her words were hollow, and made no difference in the mood.

Hazelpaw just looked at his dusty colored paws. He heard the crack in Nightpelt's voice as she spoke to him. "It doesn't feel like it will all be alright, an besides, I don't find you crying. It makes me feel better that I'm not the only cat here that still hurts from what we left behind." He said with a small sigh, and turned to look at Nightpelt. "Do you ever go back to watch your kits?" He asked with genuine curiosity. He wanted to know more. He knew that the medicine cats and leaders could be summoned here, or go and visit them in the real world, but could he do it for a warrior as well? Or was the special privilege of being visited by Starclan only reserved for Leaders and Medicine cats?

Looking at the ground bellow her; it looked as though it was made of clouds, though stars danced among the curves of the fluffy clouds. Nightpelt had almost forgotten that the apprentice was there for a second; questions swirling in her mind. At the question that Hazelpaw had asked, Nightpelt gave him a slightly perplexed look, her emerald eyes suddenly piecing together what the apprentice had said. "Of course!" she meowed in an airy tone, "I love them, but-but I can't talk to them anymore." The StarClan warrior sighed slightly and her tail flicked, her dapple pelt rising and falling slowly as she breathed. She missed her kits, and Hazelpaw reminded her of her kits when she left them, curious, but kind, and weary of others. Nightpelt had loved them, but she never got the chance to know them well. "You will always be able to be with your mother," she whispered slowly, her ears flicking gently. Though she knew that her words wouldn't comfort the young apprentice as much as she would have liked, she felt obliged to attempt to help. "Here," she meowed quietly as she stood up and strutted over to the fresh-kill pile. Picking out a thrush and a salmon, she walked briskly over to Hazelpaw, gently placing the bird in front of him. "At least the prey here is always warm and nice," she chuckled softly, trying to relieve some of the tears that were boiling in Nightpelt's eyes as well as Hazelpaw's.

Hazelpaw smiled a bit when she answered positively. Now I just need to see if she can visit me, medicine cats visit Atarclan in their dreams all the time, why can't a warrior? He thought, gaining a little flicker of hope in that he could contact his mother somehow, just hopefully it would work.He smiled gratefully when Nightpelt brought back the thrush for them. He let out a semi lighthearted chuckle, hoping to know that he was trying to lighten the mood. "Thanks Nightpelt." He meowed gratefully, before dipping his head to take a bite from the small creature.

Shadowface glared down at earth, at the Dusk Syndicate, at Patchy, his apprentice when she was in ThunderClan. It was all my fault that she's the evil cat she is! I never trained her! That's why I'm here! That's why she killed me! The black tom drove his claws into the ground, tears shedding from his eyes as he regretted the decisions he made.

Tatteredpaw blinked awake. Where am I? She wondered, scrambling to her paws. The terrible, agonizing pain she'd felt during the fires were gone, and so were all her injuries. For a moment, she thought the fires were just a dream, but no, the pain had felt so real. So how could they be a dream? She looked around, seeing other cats. Many of them she didn't recognize, they seemed to all be of each Clan.
Then she noticed that they seemed to have stars in their fur, and she suddenly knew where she was. Oh StarClan no! It wasn't my time! I never even became a warrior! What about Tigerblaze? I hope he's alright.... He'll find a new apprentice.... She didn't want to be here. She wanted to be back in ThunderClan with her mentor, becoming a warrior. Now, her hopes of becoming a warrior were gone. She was dead. The half hairless black molly with silver flecked fur looked down at her own fur, and saw that stars now shone in her fur, too.
She looked up with round coppery hues and Sighed.
This was were she was going to live now. She had to accept that.

Redpaw made his way over to the now dead warrior. He looked at the apprentice with sorrow. "I know what it feels like. I was killed when I was an Apprentice. I'm Redpaw by the way and welcome to starclan." he meowed, trying to be friendly to her. He sat down and licked his dark red chest fur and began to brush his tongue through his paw. Tatteredpaw stood up, placing her paw on his shoulder and shaking him lightly. “Are you alright?” she asked, her eyes wide as she did this. The apprentice wasn't sure what else to do but continue to shake his shoulder. She wasn't sure what was wrong with him. “Hey?” she asked, her coppery eyes full of worry as she gazed at the tom.

Tatteredpaw nodded and took a few steps back then sitting down. She wasn't really sure what to do, so she didn't do anything but sit down and stare at paws. She wasn't sure what else to do, and the apprentice thought there was nothing else to do. Her almost hairless paws scuffled in the dirt, and she looked up. “What Clan were you from before?” she whispered, very uncharacteristic of her to try and start up conversation. Usually she tried to end conversion.

Crimsontiger slowly opened her eyes and studied her surroundings. Everything seemed bright and peaceful. She looked at her pelt and saw it was glossy and starry like. She was in StarClan. Crimsontiger remembered how she died. She died next to Blackfalcon, the tom she'd once called her best friend. "I'm so sorry Blackfalcon", Crimsontiger whispered. A tear trickled down her cheek. She still didn't know if the ebony coloured tom had forgiven her yet. Crimsontiger was in StarClan now. Whenever a cat when to StarClan, they were normally happy. But Crimsontiger still grieved.

Cougarflame slowly let her eyes open, and immediately the she-cat's head shot up. StarClan? Confusion sparked her amber eyes as she rushed to stand up. The spotted she-cat picked her ears as she turned, trying to understand. "Why am I in..." Thats when she remembered Crimsontiger. The she-cat visibly flinched, remembering how she'd felt when she saw her sisters body laying next to the body of the cat she'd began developing feelings for. The thought, the memory was too much. Cougarflame didnt usually cry, but she felt tears pick her eyes as she thought of her sister. The she-cat shook her head and closed her eyes, feeling grief stab at her for a long moment. I'm in StarClan. Maybe i'll see her, She thought, taking a deep breath. The she-cat lashed her tail, opening her eyes again. But I am Cougarflame and I will not cry.

Lingeringfeather, the old wise she cat laid in the clearing snoring softly. She was quite he lazy cat, hence the name Lingering. But she still was very active, but not as much as she was. Lingeringfeather had died awhile back, and spent her days in Starclan. She watched as all the cats shared tongues and went hunting as forth. She went hunting and all that, she just didn't have many friends, and not many cats remembered her..

Crimsontiger looked up and she saw a sight that just made her heart break. Cougarflame. Her sister wasn't killed. She knew she hadn't been killed but the sight of her made her want to cry even more. "C-Cougarflame", Crimsontiger whispered. She slowly padded towards her sister. Her eyes filled with an emotion that couldnt exactly be described. It looked as though she almost didn't believe Cougarflame was alive. It was like she thought the sight of Cougarflame was just a hologram. Despite the fact that cats didn,t exactly know what a hologram was.

Cougarflame looked up, and her eyes widened as she saw her sister. "C...Crimson....Crimsontiger?" She breathed, heart aching with grief. This time there was no holding back the tears, which trickled down her face one by one. She shook her head, swallowing as she stepped forward. Pain laced her next words, the usually tough she-cat looking....Destroyed, hurt, for once. "Crimson.."

Cougarflame breathed out sharply as her sisters nose touched hers. She wanted nothing more than to wrap her paws around Crimsontiger, bury her face in her sisters fur but she restrained herself. Besides....Crimsontiger, was dead now. The thought pierced her heart as she swallowed back the lump in her throat, trying not to let any more tears escape as she blinked. "You...You dont have to be sorry Crimsontiger...I should've..." She whispered shakily, then trailed off, trying to control herself. She couldnt do this, she wasnt some weak little kit, she couldnt be crying! Yet she felt another tear streak down her muzzle, wishing everything was okay again but her sister was dead. Pushing these thoughts away, the brown spotted she-cat narrowed her amber eyes before smiling sadly, resting her head against her sisters shoulder, possibly for the last time so she shut her eyes. She couldnt think about anything else except how different things would be. She could no longer wake up in the nest beside her sisters, which would now just stay empty. She would never get to go on patrols or hunting trips, no more grand sister adventures or talking about Toms they liked. It was over, Cougarflame was alone from now on and the thought made pain pierce her heart. "Everything will be alright one day", she comforted. She didn't need to see the future to know that. One day, everything would be peaceful. "I saw that Timberstar and Halestorm were back in their rightful places", Crimsontiger said, the sudden change in topic was her way of trying to get her sister to be happier. She wondered how things were going in ShadowClan. With Timberstar and Halestorm back in place, she was sure that everything was great again. The two cats were the rightful leaders of ShadowClan. Blazingnight was never meant to have a future like that. Thinking about Blazingnight and her opinion over her made a tear roll down her cheek. That was the reason why he and Blackfalcon were dead. She wished they had never seen each other in battle, then they could've had some chance of surviving. Everytime she thought of Blazingnight, or ShadowClan, it made her tremble and her eyes would start to water.

Basilkit's petite, frail frame padded out from the area. His mainly-cream pelted fur was translucently pale, like a ghost's, and sprinkled with a thousand dazzling stars. It had been many moons over since he passed away, and despite this, he could never get over the fact that his body was no longer rock-solid.

The dead kitten's drifting gaze was innocently wandering around the StarClan clearing. There were so many big cats here. Some with raggedy old pelts and claws that dulled with time, because of their old age.

But Basil was the opposite of this. He was a youngster. If only the flood hadn't occurred, he'd be a warrior by now. Not just any warrior. He'd be a fully-grown, well-seasoned, elderly warrior. Who knows, he might have even became deputy if his youth wasn't stripped away so quickly.

Seeing all these cats, so much older than him, usually put a trance over the normally energetic tom. He wanted to play and chat with someone creative, because honestly, deceased warriors and elders weren't the most fun cats to be around.

Tatteredpaw padded back into the camp, where cats of all ages and Clans lived together in peace. It quite reminded her of ThunderClan, if you ignored the fact that most cats were transparent, and all had stars glimmering brightly in their pelts. She looked around, having gotten back from speaking with Owltail, who had tried to save her, but of course, it was useless. She looked down at her own paws, which were quite transparent, as she hadn't been well known in any of the Clans, and had really only met two cats, one being her mentor, the other Owltail, and she knew she was half forgotten already, but it couldn't be helped. The half hairless black molly, with silver flecked fur looked up once more, spotting a tom-kit she'd seen once or twice before, but had never really spoken to. The former apprentice looked away, careful not to make eye contact if they were looking. Eye contact bothered her a bit, and that hadn't gone away, she very much doubted it ever would, but it didn't matter. She wrapped her thin tail over knobby paws, her fur bristling slightly. She could see the ground through her paws, and she simply stared at the ground, sort of zoning out.

Basilkit padded around the camp nonetheless, until he came upon a figure that was around the same size as him. Well, this molly was obviously bigger- she seemed to be an apprentice, but not a warrior. And her pelt was covered in the faint glowing stars, just like him. Basilkit took this to be a good sign, and padded over towards Tatteredpaw. The apprentice was looking at the ground beneath them.

The kit was seemingly oblivious to the she-cat's half ripped fur, curling around her pelt in a messy way. It wasn't like he was ignoring her appearance because of respect. It was actually because he assumed that it was normal- not that he had seen others with that type of pelt, though.

"Hi!" The formerly-WindClan tom squeaked when he padded close enough, wagging his tail from side to side as if he were looking to play a game of mossball. Excitement and hopefulness shone in his eyes, and he hoped that the molly would feel the same way, despite her posture.

Tatteredpaw jumped slightly, startled by the sudden voice, she looked up with round coppery hues, then looked down, realizing it was a kit. She didn't recognize the kit as ThunderClan, and she decided they must be of either WindClan or ShadowClan considering their build.

It was several heartbeats before she moved or spoke, and once she did, her movement was very subtle and her voice a whisper. “Hi.” she repeated what the tom-kit had said to her. She studied his fur, which glittered with stars, and she knew that he was dead, too.

For a moment, she pitied him, as he appeared to only have been a kit when he died. In that way, Tatteredpaw knew she was lucky, as at least she'd gotten to be an apprentice, but then she shook her head, dismissing those thoughts and turning her attention back to him.

She was careful not to look at his eyes, so instead she looked past him, but still looking at him just not directly. It was her solution to not looking at someone, while still looking at them, and it worked well enough. She tilted her head, mild relief shiny in her eyes, as she was sort of glad that she wasn't alone.

Yes, she liked to be alone a lot of the time, but since joining StarClan, she'd begun enjoying the company of other cats, and knew that everyone here she could trust, she just had to learn how. Until then, she would wait and try, because there's every point in at least trying.

The kit's emerald-green eyes looked over towards their paws. Down, deep below, were the clans. Thunder, River, Wind, Shadow, and the newly founded Sky. He could make out visions of warriors trampling over their paws in the leaf-bare chills of wind. Hunting prey, marking their borders, protecting their territory. He wished he could do that. Tatteredpaw wasn't sure what he meant, so she didn't answer him, but as he looked down, she did as well. Below, she saw the Clans, and quickly she looked towards where she was pretty sure was ThunderClan, trying to pick out the camp. She hoped Owltail was there, and she hoped it would be a long time until she saw Owltail, because that meant Owltail had joined StarClan. She yawned, then shifted her gaze to a different area far below. “I'm sort of glad I'm not down there.” she muttered, thinking of how thin her fur was, it was. She'd nearly frozen last leaf-bare, and that was when she'd been in the nursery, being kept warm by a queen. She probably would've frozen by now if she was still alive, so it didn't matter. At least she'd died for a kit, and not because she'd frozen. She shrugged, not really sure why she was suddenly thinking of this. “Do you miss it? Living down there?” she asked after a moment.

Basilkit thought for a moment, still facing the swirls beneath him. It was leaf-bare now, which meant that it would chill the warriors to their core. Who knows, there might even be some snow drifting their way.

The tan-pelted kit never lived to see leaf-bare. He was born in the end of spring, and survived all throughout greenleaf, until the middle of leaf-fall. But throughout this small time period, he saw wonderful things. Fireflies racing throughout the camp, play-fighting with his sister, watching the rain fall down from stormy skies. Rain. It was water that ended his life, and ever since then, he'd avoided large bodies of water as much as usual.

"Yeah, I do miss it. I wish I lived longer, at least." He said wistfully, turning to face the older apprentice. "So I could experience the world better."

"I'd be happier here, if there were more friends to play with me. Not that I want my friends to die... but the friends that I made in the nursery, so long ago, forgot about me. They have new companions. Don't you face the same problems?"

Tatteredpaw nodded, though she'd never really had friends while she was alive, she knew where Basilkit wawas coming from for the most part. Her fur prickled slightly and she followed his gaze. She dipped her head to him, her dark coppery amber hues solemn as she replied.

“Sort of....” she muttered, staring through her paws, still unsettled by the fact that she could do that. Her ears were pinned back slightly as she gazed down at the Clans, wishing she hadn't been so mouse-brained as to think that she would make friends once she became a warrior, which would never happen.

It would never happen for Basilkit either, so she could relate to how he probably felt about never getting to become an apprentice or a warrior. She sighed, flicking the tip of her tail to and fro as she gazed below. Why couldn't I have died after the fire? After my warrior ceremony? She wondered silently, closing her eyes.

She looked up. “I'm sorry you never became an apprentice, or a warrior. ” she said at last, opening her eyes again as she did so, shifting her paws uncomfortably, averting her gaze again and looking back down at the Clans.

Basilkit's eyes widened as the apprentice stared those solemn last words, and his head hung for a moment. He wished he survived too. He desperately hoped that he'd become a warrior, or even a deputy, or a leader. But those aspirations were whipped away from him as quickly as the north wind, due to his sudden death.

But still. There was no need for Tatteredpaw to be sorry about it. He was careless, and reckless. If he'd been the obedient, reserved kit around the nursery, obeying orders as soon as they were given, he might still be alive today. The journey through the tunnels was tough, especially because of the rising water. With a single sweeping wave, water instantly flooded across his body and soaked it...

It was my fault, and my fault only for my death. I didn't follow my mother, so I lost her, and fell behind. His eyes glazed as he wanted to say that it was okay, but it wasn't.

"I know." The kit said at last, feeling an embrace of awkwardness through words. His paw twitched a little bit. "Maybe we should talk about something else."

“Yeah.” she said, flicking her tail slightly as she spoke. The conversation had gotten uncomfortable and a bit upsetting. She was glad to change the subject, but what to? Tatteredpaw was pretty much clueless as cares that went, and the molly had no idea what to do. She shifted her weight in discomfort, her coppery hues narrowed to slits and her ears perked curiously.

It felt weird, knowing she was dead. It was very strange, and she had yet to get over how odd it was, at least to her. If you put into account that she never really had a very strong belief in StarClan. She'd believed in it, just not as strongly so as most others. She sat down, the question still burning in her mind. She'd never not questioned it, but she couldn't help it. Anyone put in her situation would. Who aremy parents? She asked herself again.

The apprentice looked down, and noticed for the first time five Clans. Not four, five. She shook her head, thinking that she was imagining things, but it stayed their, and Tatteredpaw knew it must be real. “Look! There's five Clans now.” she whispered to Basilkit, thinking that maybe they either already knew, or had no idea it was there.

Basilkit noticed the apprentice's slight hesitation, and although it was brief, it was still there. Well, no wonder! I don't even know what to talk about, and warriors call cats like me the most talkative!

But in the end, she did find something to talk about, and that was all that mattered.

"Do you mean SkyClan?" The tomkit said, flicking his ear at her comment. "I find them quite interesting, actually. Do you know much about them? They're quite new, so I don't." The kit turned his head to the direction of the new clan territory, full of tall sky-high trees. I can't believe they'd been living out in their own former territory for so long, before meeting the rest of us. How could they survive without the help of other clans? How could SkyClan manage by themselves for so long, before meeting us? he wondered. The dependency of the clans was often taken for granted down below.

Tatteredpaw nodded after a few heartbeats. “Y-yeah. No. I wasn't there when the arrived to help the Clans.” she replied, dipping her head. She knew next to nothing about SkyClan, and really, until now, she hadn't evev known that they were called SkyClan. She looked down, realizing that they were bordering the Dusk Syndicate. Risky Move. The apprentice thought, flicking her tail. She admired the bravery in it, or it was just plain stupid. Either way, she admired them for it. It waswas a bit surprising that they hadn't chosen to border one of the other Clans instead. Suddenly, an odd thought struck Tatteredpaw, and she looked up, only now noticing that she'd begun referring to the Clans as if she wasn't one of them. I suppose I'm not... Not anymore.

Ravenpaw blinked awake in a clearing, and instantly the apprentice sprang to their paws. They wondered if it had all been a dream, and the two rogues had never even been there, and as they looked around, they decided that they were in camp, but where was Sunflowerkit? Ravenpaw decided that she must be in the nursery now, but as they looked around, the black furred cat with a silver tail, ears, muzzle and paws realized that this looked all wrong, and they couldn't figure out where they were exactly? Had something happened while they'd slept? What was going on? The apprentice turned, looking around. Maybe it just looks different because it's night. They thought, looking up at the stars.

Ravenpaw had no idea who this elder was, and Ravenpaw knew every elder in SkyClan, so why..... As they studied the elder longer, a weight settled in their belly, and they realized that none of it was a dream, and the two rogues, they hadn't been a nightmare. The apprentice wished they had been, as those memories were something awful. The cat, Hannibal Ravenpaw recalled the other calling him, had killed him, there was no mistaking it. The oddly colored apprentice looked at their own paws, now seeing that their fur glittered e th stars, and they were very slightly transparent. “Oh..... "Oh." Basilkit said, flicking his tail. "I haven't learned much, but... they're an interesting group." His ear flicked in the direction of the clan.

"I heard that they like to climb trees, I think." There was a hint of uncertainty in the young kit's voice, and it wavered a little bit. "They seem a little bit like ThunderClan to me. Preferring the wooded areas. I've never liked the forests very much- they just seem so dense and confusing. But then, I've never experienced walking in them. It must be fun for a SkyClanner, I suppose. Maybe I'll talk to one here, if I could find one."

Now that Basilkit thought about it, he'd experienced so little in his life. Seeing all, but actually experiencing little. Oh, what he'd do to trade circumstances!

"But you know what I've found funny?- those SkyClanners have slightly different names from us. As far as I'm aware, they have more unique and relaxed names. Like Aurora, and Grouse... those don't usually show up in the other four clans."

(Ah, it's okay)
Tatteredpaw nodded in agreement, as those names were not very commented in ThunderClan, or in any of the other Clans. “You're right though. They are a bit like ThunderClan, although possibly even more well adapted to the trees..” The half hairless apprentice said slowly, her voice distant, as she was thinking about something else.

She couldn't help but wonder if SkyClan would share their part of StarClan now, but as she gazed around, she highly suspected that to be so, but she knew that she probably wouldn't know a SkyClanner if she saw one, not unless she knew for a tact that they were. You just could never tell.

As she gazed for a brief moment at Basilkit, she wished he were not there. She liked him as a friend, and that was her reason for not wanting him there. She wished he were alive and back in his own birth Clan, not stuck up here in StarClan, but no matter how much she wished it, she knew that that would never happen, not for every star in StarClan.

The blackish apprentice liked down again, then closed her eyes, more than a dozen thought swirling in her mind, and she shook her head, becoming confusipsed by all of that, and she wanted to push them to the back of her mind, forget about them for the time being. Eventually, she may find her answers, but not now.

She hoped that her friend, Moonfang, was faring better than she, but for some time now, the black furred and pale hued molly had felt fairly certain she had not. Sometimes, she forgot that she was in StarClan, and once or twice had awoken from a nap, mildly surprised to still be here. Raising her head, Abysslight looked around, wondering if there was anything she could do to take her mind off things.

Abysslight nodded, for Moonfang was not wrong, as she had wished to see the black and white molly, but not here. Sighing, Abysslight admitted silently that what was done was done. There was no changing the fact that they both were dead. At least they could watch their families grow up and be able to be together, now, there was only one boundary; reality and dreams. She hoped that Sheer would realize her mistakes, but she feared that she would not. She could've prevented it, but she would never have fought back against her own daughter, filed with such grief and anger. “Saphhirepaw, as I said once before, is going to make a fine warrior.” she added, sitting down and watching the blue-gray tuxedo tom with pale eyes.

Glancing back up at Moonfang, she tilted her head and wrapped her tail over her paws. “I hope that he'll do alright without you, even if you are technically still with him. “I agree.” the black furred molly replied, dipping her head after several heartbeats, as she hadn't been able to decide how to respond, but what she spoke was the truth, and she did agree wholeheartedly with what Moonfang had spoken. She climbed to her paws, walking away several steps before setting herself in the shade of an old oak, laying on her side with her front half propped up with her forelegs. This was a position she was always most comfortable in, and it helped her calm her thoughts and relax. She looked back over at Moonfang, listening carefully as the wise sounding warrior spoke. “Oh, I'm sure they do. Perhaps your mate and kits knew that it was coming, and are being strong, for your sake, whereas you other kin know that it's okay to let their feelings out. However, I could be wrong.” Abysslight said in her most soothing voice, which was broken only by a soft purr, but also a hint of hopefulness. She hoped that everything Moonfang had said was true, but she doubted she could ever turn Sheer around. “No. She would never listen to me. You see, I lied to her about the identity of her father. I told her he was just some Clan cat, when he was a rogue, and a killer. I didn't care who he was, but I didn't want her to know..” she said, knowing what had to be done. Somebody could turn her around, Abysslight that it couldn't be her. It had to be somebody else. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down a bit. “Anyways, it can't be me.” she added, resting her head on her paws. One thing she didn't miss about being alive was leaf-bare. There was no leaf-bare in StarClan. It was always Greenleaf. llenty of prey, not that StarClan cats really needed it. She wished that she could send down some of the prey in StarClan to the cats in the Clans, but sadly, she could not. As Moonfang continued to speak, Abysslight pricked her ears, then sighed again. Her only kin was the one cat she couldn't watch. Sheer was too far away from the Clans right now, so she was not where Abysslight could see her. She wished that she could, and she wished that she'd never taken her kits from the Clans, then she wouldn't be dead and Sheer would be happy and normal, not a murderous rogue.

"Maybe I... Could be of assistance?" The molly inquired. She smiled at Abysslight and purred. "I only want you to be happy." she said, and sat in her haunches, her now starry black pelt added to her already existing beauty.

Abysslight blinked, inclining her narrow black head, her pale colored eyes sparkling with amusement. “No. She'd think I put you up to it.” she replied, but the change in her mood was obvious. She no longer looked sad or like she was silently grieving, but a happy, friendly brightness sat in her eyes, and a soft, laughing purr rumbled up from her chest and resonating up through her throat. She leaned forwards, then paused. “I just need to loosen up, that's all.” the sleek black she-cat added, sitting up and looking around, only now realizing just how beautiful StarClan was. After a few heartbeats, her hues wandered to Moonfang's deep amber ones, then she looked away, staring down at the Clans below.

"Just remember. She has potential. She just needs a kind word, and a mother's love." She replied, staring down with Abysslight. She saw so much. The mourning that filled Thunder, Shadow, and WindClan. The loss of their leaders brought much sadness to them and her. Then she saw the murders of the killer oriental, who once was a great cat with a place set aside in StarClan.

With a small sigh, she Nuzzled Abysslight once more, and smiled. "Maybe we all need that every once in a great while." she purred, and began to pad away into the territory.

Abysslight got quickly to her paws, about to follow Moonfang, to ask where she was going, but instead, the black furred and pale eyed molly said nothing, and made no further attempt to follow. She knew what Sheer needed, but qshe also knew what Sheer wouldn't accept. A sudden thought occurred to her, and she felt a moment of dread. Sheer was trying to follow in her father's footsteps. She sighed, then turned and padded off in the opposite direction.

(I pooled again.)
"Yeah- I've seen them climbing around and stuff. It's like they practically live in the trees." He paused for a moment. "Now that I think about it, ThunderClanners don't go on top of them very much. Only they do." It was an amusing thought to him. Maybe Thunder and Sky were less alike than what he'd previously imagined, but they were still quite similar.

"I'm just wondering, but is apprentice training fun?" His transition from one topic to the next was swift and rather brief, as if he'd already forgotten about the previous one. But apprenticeship was always bothering his mind. What exactly went on there?- he knew that it was full of hunting and fighting and training, but was it hard? Or boring? Was it what he imagined it to be, or something completely else?

"My mother never told me much about it. Is it better than being a kit?" His eyes were widened with curiosity.

Tatteredpaw nodded, but said nothing. She wasn't accustomed to speaking this much all at once, and it made her head spin. She needed to stop, take a short breather, as she'd spoken scarcely to even Tigerblaze, and she'd been close to her mentor, closer than she'd ever been to anyone else, and she missed him dearly.

As Basilkit switched subjects, she thought very carefully on his questions, a sudden thought entering her mind. She'd nearly been a warrior, and she had all the knowledge of a young warrior, so maybe, just maybe.... The apprentice dipped her head before speaking, as if to notify him that she was about to speak. “It was, but it was hard work.” she was working up to what she was about to ask him a little at a time, and she hoped that she wouldn't have to say it directly.

“It was difficult, and I never thought I could do it, but I did it. I.... Um....” trailing off, her voice growing faint, she hoped that Basilkit would understand her meaning, but as he added that last bit, she saw her opportunity, and decided to go for it. “I'm sorry she didn't, but I can see why. I'm not going to tell you very much about it, but why not show you...?” she asked, her voice quivering with uncertainty.

Fernspring wondered around star clan for a while, "So this is it? death, never being able to see my kits?" she muttered to herself. "Wonder if there is any rules?" she looked at her light gray fur. Wondering if she would ever see her mate Fallenbreeze again. What happens if I never see anyone again? The clearing looked empty, apart from the stars. Well a few cats, she did not know one of them though.

Most of her just embraced it. "Hey, at least there are no battles here...no more fighting for warmth or food..." She tried to tell herself but it was her siblings and her parents that she'd miss...AcornFlame and ShineFlower went to see their true parents...and half siblings...she never got to. She stayed in the medicine den with her beloved adopted mother StormTail. Then she died. She didn't get to say goodbye. She shook her head as a tear formed in her eye. Basilkit didn't exactly understand why his mother never told him those things. There didn't seem to be a proper reason. At least, that was what the kit assumed. The only reason he knew anything was because of sheer curiosity; if he didn't have this trait he would be as knowledgeable as a kittypet.

"Yeah, I'd like for you to show me!" The cream-pelted kit said, with a smile breaking across his face. "I'll try hard! You could just show me the basics- I don't mind!"

He might not have been living anymore, and his pelt and muscles were only shimmering wisps of stars, but there was still determination in him. Still a shimmering, fierce hope. He disregarded the fact that training might be more difficult in reality.

"Good you?" She purred. She got up and licked her tail

"good. Well I need to go. I'm going to talk to others. Bye!" He said and bounded off

She frowned "OK. . bye" she looked at the ground and bounded off into the grass.

Excitement, more excitement then she'd ever felt, as she'd been more nervous than excited when she'd discussed with her mentor, Tigerblaze, about how soon her warrior ceremony would be, shone in her round copper hues. Flicking the tapered tip of her tail, she nodded. “Okay. Copy me....” she said, trailing off slightly as she settled into a hunter's crouch.

Tatteredpaw kept her weight level and her tail still, hardly making a noise as she breathed. She was remembering everything that her mentor had taught her, and starting somewhere near the beginning. It was as if she were a mentor now, and pride swelled in her chest.

Turning her head, she glanced over at Basilkit to see if he was doing it. Pausing, the half hairless molly kept up the position a little longer to give him time to get ready before she would come over to inspect his crouch and fix any mistakes if there were any. But not yet.

Then her thoughts drifted some, and she thought of how neither of them had gotten their ceremony, and both of their lives had ended early. Pushing away all the stuff that both of them would miss, she wondered how much they could still experience. Sighing, she snapped back to focus, her eyes trained on Basilkit.

The pale cream-pelted tom tried to mimic Tatteredpaw's position. The kit wasn't in the most elegant stance in the world, with his paws and tail flailing to the sides, but it was good enough for him. A small smile slid onto his mouth as he looked up at the older molly. She seemed pretty happy, which made him delighted too.

"Am I doing... any of this right?" He wondered aloud, laughing to himself in a carefree way. Because of his young age, he didn't exactly have the maturity of a normal apprentice.

"My positioning doesn't seem quite right compared to yours," he said, trying to adjust his paws so that they'd lay a bit straighter and similar to Tatteredpaw's. "Maybe you could fix it a little bit? Also, what is this crouch for? Hunting?" He got a little carried away in his thoughts.

Even though he couldn't catch real prey, there was still plenty of StarClan prey roaming around. Being with Tatteredpaw gave him another chance. When he was alive, cats talked about death as if it were the worst thing in the world, but now his opinions were changing.

Tatteredpaw watched him as he did his best to copy her position, although she noticed several minor errors. Otherwise, it was a fairly good position. Nodding with approval but holding the pose in case he wasn't done just yet, she purred encouragingly, her eyes brightening as she noticed that he looked quite a bit happier than she'd previously seen him.

“Yes! You're doing quite well!” she chuckled approvingly, his laughter at it amusing her. She couldn't remember the last time she'd gotten along so well with another, and was very glad she'd met him. She held her tail still, careful not to disturb any of the leaves beneath her.

Getting up, she padded over, circling him for a moment, then paused to see if he had any questions. “Alright, try spreading your weight more evenly over all four paws, and tuck her hind legs in a bit further.” she murmured, noticing how his hind legs were sticking out a bit too far.

“Exactly right!” she meowed, no longer really caring anymore her voice was so raspy, but tilting her head thoughtfully as she continued to examine Basilkit's crouch, her tail tip twitching back and forth as she continued to silently study his Hunter's crouch.

The tall, lean lilac calico stood in the StarClan camp, her name was Ivypool The she-cat walked through the camp, purring and dipping her head in respect at some other deceased cats. She approached a sleek furred tortoiseshell and white she-cat, who turned and purred at Ivypool. "Dapplepool!" Purred Ivypool. "You've gone a long way from self-conscious little Ivypaw!" She chuckled. Ivypool nuzzled her cheek. "I asked them to honor you through my name, Dapplepool.." she admitted, the older she-cat purred. "Thank you, my kit." She licked her ear as a tiny kit rushed up.

"F-Finchkit?!" She squeaked, the reddish ginger tabby nodded, his eyes warm. "Hi, Ivypool!" He mewed, nuzzling Ivypool. Another kit and an apprentice rounded the corner. She knew her sister, Rosepaw, and Fernbranch's kit Cloudkit. Cloudkit was mute for the short time he'd lived, his gray and white fur was so puffed out it made Ivypool know he was happy to see her, and excited. Rosepaw had a more serious, concerned expression on her face. "How did you die?" She asked, everyone in the Clan new how these cats died.

Rosepaw by suffocation,
Finchkit by badgers,
Cloudkit by Greencough,
Dapplepool by murder.

"I fell off the gorge, fighting another Clan.." She admitted, remembering her death.

Her paws clung to the crumbling rocks, her pelt bristled as she yowled for help. The cat that had pushed her had no sorrow in her gaze, only slight worry. Most likely that she'd get banished. Ivypool gasped as one of her paws slipped. "HELP!" She yowled, but nobody could help. The shock of falling made her stiffen, and she fell onto the hard earth below.

Onyx gasped, her paws clutching for the familiar terrain of the small group she belonged to. She frantically whipped her head around in search of a familiar face, even Torn would have made her feel less stressed than she was now. The only other cats who believed in StarClan, that she knew, were Limestone and Lily. "Oh please let them be able to come here!" Onyx cried out softly, deciding to explore.

The black she-cat known as Cinderpaw stalked around the Starclan camp, watching the other cats happily chatting and the kits playing around. She had been hoping that by now she would have found Thrushkit, but she had not had such luck. Cinderpaw spotted some kits, two very small ones playing with a larger kit. She laughed, being reminded of when Thrushkit and her took on Willowkit, the snotty five-mooner of Riverclan, after she had teased them about playing. Since she had been happiest at the time when she had been with Thrushkit, after her parents left her, and after Stormtail, and before greencough struck the clan, her size was slightly larger than a four-moon kit, but not quite as large as a five-moon kit. She was dragged back into reality from her daydreaming by a ball of moss hitting her left paw. Three sets of eyes peered at her from across the clearing. She stood up and threw it back to the kits, who smiled at her and then continued playing. She laid down and rested her head on her paws, but kept her eyes open and alert. She was happy, watching the other cats.

With Mistpaw as an apprentice, she could help but long for her own kit to watch grow up. Well, of course, she had Mistpaw, but it wouldn't be the same. She couldn't praise her for her first catch or watch her learn to battle. She had Rainkit to be with, but he would never grow, would never age and of course, he wasn't really her kit. As she completed the description of Thrushkit, she twitched her ears back partially, feeling bad about asking someone who she had just met something. She scuffled her paws and looked down, hoping she didn't put off a bad impression.

Pushing through the starry bushes, the tabby tom lead Cricketpaw into the camp. The tom had kept looking back towards the russet molly as they had made their way through the Starclan territory. Northpath didn't want to get separated from the young molly. This was the first time that he actually lead a cat to Starclan after their death. He wasn't sure he was even up to this job, the tabby hated watching Cricketpaw died. He use to be a medicine cat apprentice, he was sue to being able to help anyone who was need and he honestly felt the need to help others when they were hurt or in danger. So it really hurt him to watch someone die. Maybe he would get use to helping cats to Starclan someday, but for now he was sure that after Cricketpaw, he'd take a break from leading cats to Starclan. I'll leave the job to cats that have been here for awhile.

Although he didn't wish to lead other cats just yet, he was glad that he was able to help Cricketpaw get to Starclan. Northpath had enjoyed his meetings with the molly when she dreamed, and he honestly felt a certain connection with her. The two of them had similar doubts about themselves when they were training under their mentors, and the two of them had also been murdered at a young age. It had pained him to watch Cricketpaw die since he did see her as a friend, but he did hope to help her also settle into Starclan.

"It can get confusing at first in Starclan," the tom mewed as he stopped at the edge of the camp. "Sometimes it all looks the same since everything is enclosed in stars," he explained. "Besides, it's still different territory from the clans. You can always explore it whenever you feel up to it. If you ever want someone to go into the territory with then you could also find me... or I'm sure that there are other cats here that would be play with going out onto the territory with you," he quickly added awkwardly, unsure if she would even wish to go exploring her new territory with him. Besides, Northpath still felt guilty about not being able to do anything but watch when she was killed, and he honestly wasn't sure if she blamed him for that as well.

Northpath wanted to tell Cricketpaw about how he was now suppose to help Geckoleaf. Explain to her about her former mentor's mental problems. About he break downs that have been going on for some time and how he was assigned to help her, especially since watching Cricketpaw die would destroy what little sanity she had clung onto. But he wasn't sure if he should throw all that at her, after all she had just been murdered. Besides, he wasn't even sure if he would be able to help Geckoleaf, so why even bring it up just yet? Maybe he would tell her about it if it seemed that he was able to help Geckoleaf... the tom seemed to be getting more and more weight on his shoulders and he had only been dead for a few moons!

Either way, he was glad to be of some help even after death.

An ivory body padded rather swiftly into the vast StarClan camp area. She was not carrying any prey, it seemed that the she-cat was returning from a quiet walk through the territory. Ashwillow, a white colored angora, seated herself on top of her haunches and watched the world below the heavens.
The she-cat was looking down at Riverclan, more specifically Silentpaw, her daughter who was still alive at the time. Ashwillow's multicolored eyes shined and clouded with blank and regretful wistfulness. Ashwillow would watch Silentpaw for hours every day, she had been paying close attention to her ever since she got apprenticed, a day that her mother didn't live to see. Although the she-cat was no longer physically there to see Silentpaw, this was enough for her.
Ashwillow had noticed, ever since she had died, that Silentpaw's personality had changed. She was once so hyper and playful as a kit, though she was mute. But every since Ashwillow died, something in Silentpaw must have shattered. It broke her mothers heart, knowing that she was the cause of Silentpaw's trauma.
"Hey, Ash, what are you doing?"
Ashwillow managed to tear her eyes away from the scene to meet her mate, Stormreach's, starry eyes.
"I think it is pretty clear what I am doing," the she-cat answered with a light chuckle.
The dark gray korat tomcat sat next to his mate, watching Silentpaw with her.
"You've been watching her more frequently I noticed, she'll be fine, Ash, you and I both know," he said calmly, glancing up at the molly with his pale yellow eyes.
"I may be dead, but I'm still her mother!" Ashwillow said firmly, "I missed her apprentice ceremony, Storm, her apprentice ceremony! A mother should not miss out on such milestones! And besides, I do not want something bad to happen to her!"
Stormreach replied with a chuckle, "You worry too much, I have been watching her as well, and she is doing fine. Besides, if something does happen to her, she will be up here in StarClan with us."
Ashwillow rolled her eyes, "Yes, but I want her to live a full life! I want her to grow up and be a warrior, I want her to be able to find love!"
Stormreach sighed, "Alright," the gray tom said, "I'll be in the territory if you need anything."
And with that, the dark furred tomcat padded away from his mate and into the territory. Ashwillow looked back at him before returning her firm gaze to watching her daughter, her bright ivory tail curled around her paws, her multicolored eyes were firm and watching.

Crescentpaw managed to stumble her way into the Camp, blinking, the new StarClan member felt weak on her paws. Okay, this was not a dream. The black molly smoothed her pelt, restoring the little moon shape on her chest to it's normal pattern instead of a puff of white. Her vision swam with tiny dots for a moment before she forced herself to realize the truth. She was dead and gone. Crescentpaw sat, her haunches raised as her fur stayed smooth surprisingly. She took a deep breath, her claws flexing as she tried to spot anyone she knew. "Hello?" She squeaked, her ears pulling back as she flinched at the vulnerability in her voice and the high pitch.

I sadly had caught the disease, redcough. It was really painful and slow, and I was praying up above that I would make it," she paused, then continued, "The medicine cat at the time did not have any more proper herbs for my treatment, so they went out and attempted to get some. Sadly, they were too late, I was sprawled against the wall of the den, coughing up what remained in me. My daughter, Silentpaw, stayed with me until I faded away," she sighed, "It was heartbreaking, the last thing I saw before I passed was my daughter, with tears going down her green eyes."
Ashwillow finished, closing her multicolored eyes. She still remembered her death like it had just happened, though it was moons before, when Silentpaw was just a kit. A one month old kit that had to witness her mother's death.
The ivory angora opened her eyes and looked at the apprentice again, giving a smile, "But that was a long time ago," she said softly.

Crescentpaw knew of the dreaded redcough. It caused a cat to cough up blood and was one of the worst sicknesses. She shivered, her hate of Leaf-Bare refilled. The description sent chills down the apprentices spine, and she slightly pulled her ears back before giving her a reassuring nuzzle. "I'm sure you'll always be in her heart, and when she's lived a long fulfilling life you'll be reunited.." she tried to comfort the molly, unsure of that was how it truly worked.

Ashwillow smiled at the apprentice's comforting words.
"Thank you, Crescentpaw. And in the end, its worth it, because I live up here now, and I am still able to see all of those who I left behind," she replied softly, half to herself.
The molly turned back to the apprentice, "I know it is none of my business, but how did you pass? I understand if you do not wish to tell me," she asked curiously.

"Oh, the Syndicate."
Ashwillow hated the Syndicate, they were full of horrible bloodthirsty cats that don't care who they murder, as long as they were successful.
'And they let a young cat go into battle?' she thought distastefully of what could have went down during that battle. She could only guess that much blood was shed.
Ashwillow hated the thought if dying from murder. The last cat you see is the one who killed you. And many times, that cat is not punished because of their crimes.
"I'm so sorry that you had to die so young, you must have been brave to fight in a battle," she said softly.

The she-cat did feel very bad for Crescentpaw, she was never able to live a full life, at least she was in a better place at an earlier time. Ashwillow could never imagine what it was like to die young, there would be too many things she could not do.

Crescentpaw smiled at the thought of the Syndicate hanging their heads in defeat, some cats injured due to their incompetents and reckless battle strategies. But she quickly felt bad for some of the young, under 6 moons, injured because of their cruelty. And she felt sad for herself! She'd be a 'paw' forever.

Ashwillow could tell that Crescentpaw was disappointing about dying so young, so the female gave the young cat a sympathetic smile.

"She is mute, meaning she cannot speak," Ashwillow said wistfully, "She was born prematurely, and something was wrong with her vocal cords apparently. So, she has to communicate using her own sense of body language and expressions. I must admit, it is quite amusing watching her try to explain to another cat what she means," she finished with a slight chuckle.

"That's sad.." Crescentpaw replied, unable to imagine not being able to speak, having to go through all that effort to say something simple to other cats. She giggled at the last sentence, imagining the young cat flailing her limbs dramatically to convey a sentence. Of course, Crescentpaw felt bad for the cat. It must have been hard for Silentpaw to live without saying a word, even if she wanted to. Suddenly, she turned to Ashwillow. "Can I ask a random question? Do you know how all the prophecy stuff works?" She asked, it'd been in the back of her mind for a while now.

"Hm?" the starry-pelted she-cat turned to the apprentice after she asked the questions.
"Ah, prophecies, interesting things, those are. I have never actually sent a prophecy before, but I have talked to some cats who have, long ago."
Ashwillow cleared her throat silently, "StarClan members, though we are the guardians of the clans, have very limited physical touch with the world below, but we communicate through weather, dreams, and signs. Prophecies are communicated usually to the leader of a clan or to the medicine cat of that clan, though sometimes they are communicated to other clan members. Prophecies are when StarClan gives hints to what the future is, though prophecies are hints at very big and important future events. One or more member of StarClan sends a dream to a cat of a certain clan, they get the message and pass it on to the leader of the clan, if the clan leader was not the one who gotten the dream. Prophecies are made to be hard to decipher, cats can loose their minds trying to figure out what we are telling them. But usually, prophecies only make sense after they happen."
Ashwillow finished with a sigh, "Excuse me if I did not give an adequate answer, I must admit I myself do not know much about how StarClan cats communicate to live ones. I have never done it before."

Hexict (tbh i have no clue where cricket and north left off so imma post her here, maybe finding north and talking to him? we can say she's been in starclan for awhile now if that's alright with you c: )

It was a rather nice day in StarClan's main camp, though everyday was nice in the land of the deceased it seemed. The sun was always shining overhead, prey was plentiful to chase and hunt down, and there was always a slight breeze. Rushing water could be heard in the distance, and a few notes of accompanying birdsong gave the camp a peaceful feeling. Cricketpaw padded softly across the flattened ground, ears and nose alert for the cat she was looking for. Most in StarClan were unrecognizeable to her, but their scents indicated their Clan at least while they were living. Those who seemed the most familiar obviously shared her fishy RiverClan scent. Next was the piney scent of ShadowClan, the undergrowth smell radiating from the ThunderClan ancestors, and of course, the smell of salty ocean air coming from WindClan's former residents. It warmed the former medicine cat apprentice's heart to see all the Clans living in harmony. It only took death to make that happen she thought with a roll of her blue gaze, shaking her head with a smile.

After a few moments, the Bengal paused to survey her surroundings. She couldn't spot the ThunderClan medicine cat apprentice anywhere, and for awhile became crestfallen that he was no where in sight. Maybe he was helping Daypaw - after all, it was just days ago that he'd told her he was going to be mentoring the younger ShadowClan medicine cat in the ways of a Clan medicine cat. A smile lifted the corners of Cricketpaw's face as she thought about this - two of her closest friends learning from each other. Her heart swelled with pride at the thought, and once again began to look for Northpath.

Finally, her gaze landed on a familiar darker brown pelt. Despite the stars that lined it, she could tell by his fur and his apparent ThunderClan scent that this was whom she sought. "Hey there, friend," she mewed, smiling as she waited for the tom's response. Ever since she had joined StarClan, the two had grown closer - it was nice to have another former medicine cat around, someone who understood the same struggles she'd faced back in RiverClan - even if they were as simple as stocking the herb storage.

She died as a kit, born alive but in a terrible location... I died before I had a chance to live! she hissed to herself, a tear slipping out at the memory of the battle that killed my mom as she gave me life, I was so important to my mom that she tried fleeing with me. Sadly, she was caught and struck down. I was stomped on and left to die. A sad end to my short life...

" i..ugh...I don't know...really .. Don't attack me! " she meowed quickly , she always got scared of things especially other cats. Her blue eyes looked at the older cat in front of her she gulped but her throat just felt dry she wished she was still alive to feel the wind on her fur , the dirt under her paws . She licked her nose as she kept her eyes on Alliumeyes and her ears pinned against her head , she was supposed to feel safe supposed to be happy but she wasn't safe or at least she felt like she wasn't .

Mildpaw made his way through the starclan camp, Morningkit walking behind him. The apprentice was always being followed by the kit. He never really minded the younger cat being next to him. "Hey where do you want to go? What do you want to do?" asked Mildpaw, stopping to face Morningkit. He watched as the kit ran into the back of his legs. "Hey pay attention to where your walking!" growled the tom, playfully. Mildpaw gave his chest fur a few licks, a purr rising in his throat as he looked at Morningkit. Do you think we'll ever be able to be together even though we're dead." wondered Mildpaw.

Morningkit looked up at the older cat with a shrug. "Who knows. Starclan is a place of miracles. Maybe there will be a chance for us to be with each other." replied Morningkit, a purr also in her throat. The kit placed her tail next to Mildpaw's. She touched her nose to his cheek. After a while she got up looking around at the other cats around the two. She didn't want nobody to see her. She was with a former Thunderclan tom when she was once a Shadowclan cat. It would never truely work with one another being together. What would their families think about them being together? What about Haypaw? What would they think?

The thin black she-cat was watching the apprentice from afar, amber-yellow optics lit with amusement, but irritated. Amused, that they were unaware of their doom that had just happened moments ago. Irritated, that they were so impatient. Patience is key. And, Shallowfall never knew of any prophecy, but.. did that really matter? Not by much for the she-cat. The she-cat decided to approach the apprentice, "Well, it seems you are in quite a predicament here dear." The thin black cat had a serious edge to her, but seemed to be on the thoughtful side at the moment, though her eyes were lit up with amusement. This was going to be a job. "Impatient, impatient. StarClan doesn't give prophecies to just any cat at the random, if you were in a prophecy, you wouldn't be dead, wouldn't you?" Shallowfall was getting straight the point, blunt as it were. She wasn't going to not tell her straight up. It was better to tell the she-cat, anyways. This would be very irritating.

The thin she-cat scoffed at the question, a light chuckle coming out of her a moment, before her sharp amber-yellow optics stared at Ivypaw like she had grown two more legs, or two more tails, as if she was mad, typical of the she-cat, she was for logic and something that made sense, and to her, what the apprentice had just said was absolute nonsense. She never expected a ThunderClan cat to be this ignorant. But, most ThunderClan cat's were to be assumed as wanting to be the special ones in her eyes. It was a bit amusing. "No omens dear, and I believe Passionblaze is very much fit to be leader. The medicine cat apprentice is still young as well, so it would not be wise to get her an apprentice so soon." Shallowfall wouldn't answer the question about Snowstar, nor the question of being warned of something. This amused the elderly she-cat quite a bit, the apprentice thinking she could be leader, when she couldn't be, because she was.. not alive anymore. "You must be quite naive to not reason what had just happened to you, but.. hopefully, you'll figure yourself out soon. My death was something I stubbornly refused to believe, but.. it happened. And you will realize it soon enough, I don't blame you though." The StarClan cat's tone was very calm, but held an irritated edge to it. Shallowfall was known to be a calm cat, so it would held any cat's who knew her no surprise at all, which was not very many cats. A saddening thought. The black she-cat laid down casually, as if Ivypaw wasn't much of a concern to her, which.. she wasn't much of a concern. "You will not be leaving any time soon, anyways." The tone in her voice was also very casual, but held a sympathetic edge to it.

Now this was amusing, and a bit irritating at the same time. "Not all StarClan cat's talk in riddles you know. Only when it's needed, when being straight to the point won't work. Prophecies are basically a riddle at times, so, only then, I suppose." The ShadowClan cat retorted with slight more irritation. "Yes, you are very, very dead. Which, is quite surprising you don't realize this yet." A very annoyed and irritated tone came from her muzzle. This apprentice was quite amusing. Really, did every cat really think she would be expected to talk in nonsense riddles? Only if it was needed but Shallowfall wanted to be straight to the point and get it over with. She was like that, quite often. She logical, reasonable. The StarClan cat had sense, unlike some cats in StarClan.

Only one word escaped Ivypaw’s mouth,” Foxdung.” She spat then glanced up at the elder,” Sorry...Please give me one more chance before sending me off to the Dark Forest!” She had actually believed the kit-tale that if you curse in Starclan you have 10 seconds before another cat in Starclan would send you off to the Dark Forest So does my body like dissolve and reappear into the Dark Forest, sorta like how I arrived here...or is it like I’m instructed to walk to the Dark Forest. Greyfrost padded through the Starclan camp, his pelt light and his body more agile than it had ever been. He thought sarcastically to himself, being dead really brings out the best in me. The dark tom, while physically perfect, still felt burdened by his death. He had been hunting a dark leaf-bare morning, hoping to find enough prey so that after the elders and queens had been fed, that there would be some leftover for his father, Thornpatch. He and his kits had been faring the coldest season better than Thornpatch, Greyfrost grew concered with how thin he was looking. But he had slipped on a patch of frost and tumbled in the river, being knocked unconcious from his landing on the ice, and being washed under water as the ice at the center of the river thawed. He had been washed downstream and trapped under and ice shelf in the shadows. While his arrival to Starclan had absolved him of many of his fears, in the times when Greyfrost feels most alone he still recalls the feeling of being trapped under the ice. The amber eyed tom paused mid-stride, and dipped his head to take a moment to steady the tremors shuddering through his legs. The cats of Starclan had been welcoming and empathetic towards him, but his kits, his mate, his parents, his brother still lived. Greyfrost had been the first to go. And while he would not want to inflict his fate on anyone he loves, he felt so lonely.

She had talked to her friends parents a few times, but they were busy watching their new grandkits. She had watched them herself. Sighing, she noticed a tom who looked rather upset. "As I said this is Starclan. A place where your warrior ancestors live. This place is where you can live a peaceful life. No danger lurks in this forest. Every night when the warriors down below sleep you can walk and talk to them in their dreams. But only the ones of your kin and med.cats if they go to the half-moon medicine cats meeting. ” Lilyshine mewed.
