Tawnypaw's best fiend is Thunderpaw. They've been friends since early apprenticehood, and are bow close to becoming warriors. Both of them, over time, have developed feelings for each other, but haven't fully realized it.
Thunderpaw is beginning to, but still silently vows that he will make sure the tom that Tawnypaw falls in love with will treat her right. Tawnypaw, on the other hand, has not yet realized her feelings and disregards them, continuing to think about Thunderpaw as a best friend rather than more.
Soon, they become warrior together, and Tawnyflight meets [Tom]. She is instantly infatuated, and after spending some time with him, becomes quite smitten. [Tom], however, does not feel the same, but instead uses Tawnyflight. Tawnyflight doesn't realize how quickly [Tom] is rushing their relationship, and agrees to be his mate not long after they meet.
Thunder---, who Tawnyflight is still close with, grows very jealous of [Tom], but keeps it hidden for Tawnyflight's sake.
[Tom] gets angry when he sees Tawnyflight hanging out with her best friend, and grows jealous of the other tom as well, clearly viewing him as a threat. He voices this to Tawnyflight none too gently, telling her that he forbids her to see Thunder--- anymore. Tawnyflight angrily disagrees, earning her a scratch across the face. She soon realizes with dread that [Tom] is nowhere near who she thought he is, and grows timid, quiet, and jumpy. She aslo realizes, with her separation from Thunder---, that she liked the tom much, much more than a friend. But she couldn't let [Tom] know that, or he'd do something horrible. She starts to avoid Thunder---, and he instantly notices that there is something wrong, both from the fact that Tawnyflight is avoiding him and from her jumpy, on edge behavior.
He plans to cofront [Tom], but instead ends up defending Tawnyflight when he sees [Tom] physically hurt her with his own eyes, in the territory, where they were supposed to be hunting together. Keeping the silent promise he'd made as an apprentice, Thunder--- teaches [Tom] a lesson, and [Tom] leaves Tawnyflight alone, the two of them splitting up. [Tom] ups and leaves the Clan, running away to live as a loner, rogue, or kittypet. Thunder--- comforts Tawnyflight after his fight with [Tom], and they go back to living their lives after he leaves the RiverClan then and there; but this time, Tawnyflight doesn't have anyone to fear.
Over time, she is able to recover, and her flinchy, jumpy behavior eventually is able to deteriorate back into her old personality, and she and Thunderpaw become mates—a much happier relationship than Tawnyflight and [Tom], and they live their lives in happiness.
This plot will take place is RiverClan.
