Rainwhisker walked out of the nursery with Sandkit, Flowerkit, and Shadekit following close behind her. They walked over to the fresh kill pile and Rainwhisker grabbed a rabbit. They then walked over to the center of the camp. Sandkit grabbed the rabbit out of her mother's jaws and began to eat it. Shadekit and Flowerkit knocked their sister out of the way, but then Shadekit took the prey and ran away with it.

Eaglebelly sat in his den tending to some wounds that Wolfpaw had gotten when she was hunting. He pressed cobwebs against her shoulder and put some cobwebs on her back and belly. "It will heal soon. Don't worry, Wolfpaw.", Eaglebelly reassured her. "I'm not worrying.....", she mumbled. "You can stay here for awhile until your wounds heal and then I'll send you back to the Apprentices' den.", the medicine cat said. "Okay!", Wolfpaw's eyes glowed with excitement and passion.

Smokefeather walked out of the warriors den and looked up at the sky. He licked his gray forepaw and drew it over his ear. He then began to groom his back fur. After a while he walked over to the fresh kill pile and picked out a Rabbit. He watched as rainwhisker chased after her kits with the rabbit. He walked over to them and made Smoke go around the kits. He reached his jaws down and grabbed the rabbit from Shadekit. Once the smoke cleared up Shadekit looked around for the peice of prey. Rainwhisker stopped running and looked at Smokefeather with a purr. "Thanks Smokefeather." purred Rainwhisker. She then looked at her kits with anger. "Now kits we don't play with our prey. What would Starclan think of you?" She growled.

"Wolfpaw, let me rub some burdock roots on your shoulder. It wil get the rat bite to not swell up anymore. And it will help so that your shoulder won't be red.", Eaglebelly said, already chewing up the burdock roots and putting them on the apprentice's shoulder. "Thank you, Eaglebelly.", Wolfpaw mewed.

Aspenheart walked out of the warrior's den and stretched, enjoying the feeling of the sun on her sore back. She had fallen out of a tree yesterday and it felt like she had a couple bruises. Sitting down, Aspenheart drew a gentle paw over her ear and looked around the clearing. Smokefeather had gotten a rabbit from the kits with his smoke and the ginger she-cat's pelt spiked up with worry. What if the kits inhaled the smoke? She made a mental note to ask Smokefeather about it later. Aspenheart cared for all cats, hence the 'heart' suffix. She was also brave and very loyal to her Clan and family. She finished cleaning and stretched out on the ground, soaking up the sunlight.


Nettlepaw snuggled deeper into her nest, she didn't want to get up just yet. She wanted to go back to sleep and dream more about that mysterious black tom. He was gorgeous. Letting out a little purr, she shut her eyes tightly and attempted to go back to the wonderful dream world.

Aspenheart nodded and got straight to business. "Ok, so where do you think they would most likely be?" she thought for a minute and answered her own question. "Maybe the elder's den?" she went a couple pawsteps in that direction and turned her head to look at Smokefeather.

Before Aspenheart could search for the kits, she heard the summons. She padded away. "Come on, Smokefeather. Maybe the summons will draw the kits out!" She called over her shoulder, already moving to sit with her tail neatly wrapped around her paws. A presence at her side made her look over and she saw her beloved daughter. "Nettlepaw," she purred. "So nice to see you awake!"

Nettlepaw was interrupted from her failing attempts at sleep by the call of her clan leader. Sighing, she sat up and shook some moss from her pelt before walking out of the den into the bright sunlight. She stared around the clearing, watching the cats gather, before padding over to her mother. "Yes, yes," she grumbled. "I'm finally awake." She settled down beside Aspenheart. "Do you know what this is about?"
