Nightlight sighed. Nothing much happened in the medicine den except his daily chore. Wake up, wash, check herbs in case any is stolen during the night, wait, go to sleep. That was all, but during the checks and the waits, there were sometimes cats who stroll into the den either from injury or for a simple conversation. He licked his pelt, making sure it looked nice and neat, although he couldn't see if it was dirty or not, since he is blind and all, but anyways, he wanted to look good in front of everyone.

Stonegaze was overwhelmed by the flurry of herbs scents. He had a sensitive nose, and it was just a bit too much. He respectfully backed out of the den, and towards the entrance, figuring he should check for other foxes.

Stongaze arrived at the camp entrance and was startled by the fox's body. It's barely older than a cub... He moved it out of the way and covered it, then set out to check the perimeter. A strong scent filled his nostrils. He now knew there were more. The one he killed was part of a litter. He was careful not to alert any other cats about this, as he didn't want to cause a fuss, or get any other cats hurt.

He squared his shoulders and hardened his expression. He could do this.

Stonegaze stopped and sank into a crouch as he spotted two similar foxes attempting to gnaw a hole through the barrier. He stalked closer. Thankfully, the gray warrior was downwind of the disgusting creatures.

He lunged at the first one's neck. It went down easy, as he had the element of surprise. He tossed it to the side by its scruff. Plowing through the vegetation to reach the second, which had run off. He chased it at full speed, getting very close. He grabbed its tail, yanking it back towards him. He then bit its throat as well.

"There," he sighed, feeling accomplished.

Nightlight woke up, but strangely, his body felt light. Looking around, he didn't recognize the place either. 'So I did die' he thought, relieved instead of depressed, since he was able to promote his one and only apprentice, who was a much better medicine cat then him already. Judging from how he could see, he was definitely dead. Or that was what he thought... voices began to echo around him, "The destiny has not been fulfilled, the destiny has not been fulfilled" it repeatedly said. "What does that mean?" He asked, but the only answer he got was the same words that repeated over and over again...
Meanwhile, his body back at the clan was still warm. The breathing very slow and raspy, but still indicating that Nightlight was alive, but in deep sleep... or dying slowly......

Nightlight spun around and around as these voice came out of nowhere, saying the same thing over and over again... until suddenly, he was plunged into darkness. He found himself numb with pain as he opened his eyes very slowly. Although he couldn't see, he could smell his apprentice underneath the strong scent of blood... his blood. He smiled weakly, taking slow, shallow breaths.
