hey everyone! so, earlier today, on the cbox, there was a conversation about resurrection cards, and stuff about bringing the character back to life. and i had the thought, that maybe a cat who has lost a relative, for example, a kit who's parent died in a battle, might not like a cat who was resurrected very much. they could feel jealous, maybe even angry that this cat, who wasn't any different from anyone else, because they'd been brought back from the dead, and not their parent.
so between the discussions about zombie cats and the confusion between resurrection and reincarnation, a small plot was formed. i'd also like to give credit to Lunacross for helping ^^
The times of the Evil Era were troubling, and not just for the warriors who fought for their clans, but also the kits of these warriors.These kits probably saw things that no one of that age should ever witness. And many of their parents lost their lives.
This was the case for the near apprentice-aged kit named Aspenkit. During the fight, their (mother or father) was viciously killed.
Filled with grief, Aspenkit was never the same kit she once was. Before the Evil Era, she was a cheery kit, filled with spunk who loved everything. She was always determined to be the best warrior she could be, and no one ever thought that would change
After her parent's death, the once perky Aspenkit fell into a deep state of depression, deeper than a kit ever should. She was no longer as energetic, and spoke very little. Her friends tried their best to cheer her up, as did her mentor and remaining parent. But having been quite close to the deceased parent, it took a while for her to get some of her old energy back.
Now an apprentice, Aspenpaw knows that if she wants to ever become a warrior, she'd have to start to accept her parent's death. And this begins to work.
Until one day...
There were many cats in her clan who passed in the fight. Many. Including Cat A. They weren't anyone special, and usually kept to themselves. They had a mate, and two kits of their own. The kits were a mere two moons when Cat A died. But one day, something odd happened.
It was the end of a regular day, when Cat A, who'd been buried for just less than a moon, padded into the clearing. It was no question that this cat had been resurrected by the power of StarClan themselves.
Of course, the cat's family was filled to the brim and beyond with joy. Everyone was happy. Everyone except Aspenpaw.
The sight of the happy family filled her with jealousy. That cat wasn't anyone special, why were they brought back to life? Why not her parent?
Rage bubbled inside of her as she spent her days watching the happy family, wishing with all her heart that that family could've been hers. During these days, she began to wonder if StarClan picked favourites. Aspenpaw began to question lots of things.
Aspenpaw was even more different than she had been, by now. Whenever alone, she'd shout curses at StarClan, demanding why they picked Cat A and not her parent. She'd dream, too. Dream that it was her parent who was brought back, and not Cat A. But when she awoke, nothing happened.
She'd yell at Cat A too. At them and their kits and their mate. She'd shout at them and at StarClan until her lungs burned.
Anyway, this was sort of my realistic idea of how a cat would react to a resurrection of another XD there aren't too many characters, and I'm thinking that it could probably end with Aspen maybe hurting Cat A in some way? Idk, i'm open to suggestions XD
