> > > > Golden sunlight streamed into the forest as the sun began to peek over the horizon. The leaves that had yet to fall rustled in the breeze. It had rained the night before, leaving the forest floor damp and leaving a hazy morning mist hanging above the ground.Sweet dewdrops clung to each blade of grass. Tangled amongst the roots of one of the trees lay a small tortoiseshell feline. She had climbed down onto the hollow the night before to escape the cold drizzle. Slowly, alongside the rest of the forest's inhabitants, she began to awaken. Very quickly, the small she-cat came to the realization that this was not her home. It did not take her long to recall how she ended up here. In a fit of anger and fear, she fled from the clans in hopes of avoiding the chaos the new leaders were sure to bring. Regret sank like a rock in her stomach. Scarcely seven moons old, the feline had little experience outside of camp and everything that could go wrong began to go wrong began to run through her mind. Only the growling of her own stomach could snap the young feline's thoughts back to reality. She would have to get something to eat soon.

Crawling out of her hollow, she opened her mouth to taste the air in hopes of catching the scent of prey. The smell of rain was overwhelming at first but after a minute of stalking through the undergrowth, the scent of a squirrel caught her attention. Instinctively, she adjusted her stance and dropped into a, albeit shaky, hunting crouch. Keeping her eyes sharp, she began to follow the scent trail. When she spotted the small animal rooting through the leaves she slowed her breathing and focused herself in. She prepared herself to pounce but a sudden change in the breeze alerted the squirrel of her presence. The molly let out a frustrated hiss as it bolted and she bounded after it. As it darted up a tree, she struggled to halt herself. Her paws slipped out from beneath her and she slammed right into the trunk. Pain shot through her body and her breath escaped her. The squirrel chattered from the branches above, seemingly mocking the unskilled apprentice. There she lay, in a heap of fur, struggling to breathe. Not the greatest start to a hunt.

Syn walked over to the tortoiseshell.. "Hello, dear~'' He greeted her as he would any other cat. His amber-overtoned eyes lit up.
