I am in a frustrating situation. For some reason, the gif I desire to use(shown in the signature) doesn't want to work when I try to use it as my avatar, but when I use it in the signature, it works perfectly. Also I tried another gif(a snivy one), and that also worked perfectly in both the avatar and the signature. Is there a specific way to fix this, or is it supposed to be like that?

What does it say when you try to use the gif as your avatar?

do you see my icon just frozen with a white background? it should've been like this: http://piskel-imgstore-b.appspot.com/img/16a60dc7-ba66-11e6-a77b-0188a1c4b3a0.gif
(the avatar is next to the name)

i had this problem when we first switched sites. i think the issue was that the dimensions were too large. go to a website like lunapic and resize your gif to be where it's, at most, 120px x 120px

Yeah, just resize the gif. For me 100x100 works..

Hm, I don't know the exact steps you must take in order for your profile gif to work properly, but I can offer a suggestion. If this doesn't work, I suggest you ask the staff.

1) Visit here (http://ezgif.com/)
2) Click on `GIF Resize`
3) You will then see Animated GIF Resizer, and below that will be Select Image.
- Below that, you will see Upload Image From Your Computer. If you have downloaded your gif, press Browse. Find the folder you placed your gif in, and click your gif. Return to the Editor, and continue with Step 4.
- Find your gif online - like the first time you found it, and copy the URL. Paste it in the empty box below `OR Paste Image URL`.
4) Click `Upload`
5) You are now on a different-looking page. In the New Width box beneath your gif, put 100. In the New Height box put 100. There is a chance you may have to play around with the numbers.
6) Click `Resize It!`
7) Beneath `Resize It`, there is `Resized Image`. Below that, there is a spotted-lined box, and in that will be your resized gif.
8) Right click it, and press `View Image`

I think you know what to do from here. If these steps don't work, I suggest you mess with the Width and Height. For me, 129 has worked. Good luck, friend.
