Long ago two loners were washed from their homes into a mighty river where they were swept away into a deep forest. They dragged their sodden bodies to shore and trekked for fox-lengths to find a new den. One was a tortoiseshell she-cat with bright orange flashes along with red streaks and black as well as white fur named Aspen. She travelled with her mate, Heron a dark tabby, a brown-gray tom with the head of a lynx and the sharp tongue of the bird he was named for. She was pregnant with kittens and in a bout of rage she chased after a robin, swatting a single feather with her claws. The feather drifted into the air and she spotted the red glow of the aspen trees. Her mother had named her Aspen for the trees by a river with a bright aura, the color of her fur. This was how she knew water would be near by. She raced along with her annoyed mate to find a large oak den by the waterside. After a drink the two slept in the hollow of the oak. In her sleep she had a vision of star pelted cats with the nights sky in their eyes. They whispered to her a path that no cat had traveled for many seasons. When the sun arose from wherever it made its den, Aspen along with Heron set off. It took two sun sets to reach a large clearing. Huge oak trees surrounded it and a large cave that blended into the dirt where a series of tunnels lay sat by. It had been carved from a river that had ran through this place many moons ago. Huge bushes and herbs grew all around and the air smelled of fresh flowers. Heron and herself made a den in the cave, giving birth to three kittens. She named them OakKit, StreamKit and Owlkit. She changed her own name to AspenFeather as a tribute to what she believed was a sign from the cats in the sky. Her mate took the name HeronLeap for his jumping skills. This was how our great clan of the fire trees was born, AspenClan.

He doesn't usually give way to bad things and plots things over with Gingerstar before coming to a decision. Medicine Cat-
AdderWhisp- A grey tabby tom with brown eyes and a long tail and short fur. He is 30 moon old.

VoyagePaw- A dark warm grey she-cat with yellow eyes. She is aged 8 moons.

VoleWhisker- A wiry young tom with dark brown fur with dark spots and long droopy whiskers with a long curly coat. His eye color is pine green. He is 14 moons old.

JuniperHeart- A black she-cat with short fur and bright blue eyes as well as a white tailtip. She is 20 moons old.

TideHeart- A pale grey tabby tom with mint green eyes. This calm cat is 46 moons. He is sweet, patient, and willing to learn.

WhiteFlash- A pure white tom with green eyes. This cat is 73 moons old. He is patient, kind, and sometimes strict but only with apprentices. This senior warrior is the fastest warrior in the Clan. His warrior naming words were: "Starclan honors your speed and your courage, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Aspenclan."

FlameStorm- A fire pelted she-cat with a long sweeping tail as well as long fur. Her eyes are a pale cider color and she is 36 moons old. She is ambitious, respectful, resilient, curious, good at working in a team, she loves kits but would not want any of her own, she would make a good mentor but would be a little strict at times.

RussetEye- Russet has a deep red pelt that is thick but short. His right eye is a dark amber color but the left eye is a dull blue color since he is blind in that eye. He has a lean build, he isn't that big but he is very fast. Russeteye is loyal and respectful, he follows the rules and often visits the elders. He likes making others feel appreciated, he always takes the time to listen to everyone else's problems or concerns. He doesn't take his blind eye as a weakness but as a gift from Starclan. He tries his hardest to make sure other cats know not to underestimate him as a warrior. Russeteye has trouble sleeping so he usually volunteers to guard at night or he goes for a walk and hunts for the clan. He can be a bit too friendly at times, he wants to help everyone with their problems and can seem nosy instead of trying to be helpful. He also has trouble keeping his mouth shut. He wants to find help for the cat in trouble and tells others who don't need to know, even though he thinks it helps. He is 36 moons.

Wispypaw- Is a black she-cat with wispy splashes of white , along with amber eyes.

Setting: It is early morning, the sun is just over the horizon and bright colors flash through the trees. It is new leaf and plump prey run amuck, herbs grow and spirits brighten.

Camp: A large cave serves as the leaders den in the medium grassy clearing. A feather blanketed den under a sage bush serves as nursery. In the tunnels behind the rock is a huge opening where the medicine cat den is. A huge log with bushes growing around it is propped up on a stump making a perfect warriors den. Nearby is a bush in the shade with a mossy floor for the elders, it is the elders den. The apprentices den is next to the nursery protected by a thicket in the base of an oak. In the middle of the dusty as well as grassy clearing is the prey pile.

Starter:


GingerStar stepped from her large cave den, white paws touching the soft green grass with a deep breath through opened jaws. Her eyes roamed the clearing the clan called home. The she-cat stretched her back before stepping in the middle of the area. GingerStar raised her tabby striped tail as she prepared to speak. "Who would like to join me on a hunting patrol this fine new-leaf morning?" The voice was loud and happy. The prey pile was composed of a few mice and it seemed a fine time to stretched their paws to feed the clan.


VoleWhisker was awoken by the yowl and lazily rolled over under the propped log, laying on his back now. His belly growled like a hungry badger and he slithered out from the warriors den. His pine green orbs adjusted to the warm light that covered the clearing as the sun rose. Few cats awoke this early but it was, in GingerStars opinion, the best time to awake and hunt.
