Pine Oasis Pack resides in a large pine forest. These wolves are intelligent, loyal, lethal/fierce, responsible, compassionate, dependable, courageous, strong-willed and brave. The dynamics of the pack and the hierarchy keep this pack intact and safe. Rule are to be followed and if broken, consequences will be received. It is not every pack member for themselves. These wolves work as a team, a family to survive.

Up in the rocky formations on the hillside in the pine forest, lay a den cavern. In the den cavern, lie a sleeping wolf. Her flank rising and falling with each breath, occasionally her ears and paws twitch as she dreams. It is early dawn, the sun is just rising over the horizon. Sunlight filters through the den, shining in on the den. The rocks around the edges of the cavern, light up and sprinkle dots of light over the wolf's body. The sunlight, just barely lifts up onto her face but enough to push under her eye lids. Groaning, the wolf opens her eyes to slits, shielding her sleepy eyes from the sun's early morning rays. It's morning already... she thought to herself. With an exasperated sigh, the fae lifted her head, heavy from sleep, up. Stretching her neck first, she let out a wide-mouthed yawn. After the yawn, the wolf lifted herself to her paws, stretching out her front legs first and then her back legs, arching her back downwards, getting all of her sleepy muscles loose.

Quickly running her velvety tongue across her pelt, the fae padded to her den entrance. Peering outside of her den, she could hear the soft snores of her pack mates. It was a small pack, for now, she told herself. Frowning a bit she looked at the sky, it's reds and oranges and yellows amazed her each time the sun rose. She smiled genuinely and looked back at the dens below her. Time for a new day. She said with a content sigh, shaking off the feeling that her pack needed to grow desperately.

Then she remembered, when Nyx awoken, she would have to remind her that Weylyn was now her trainee. With no actual mercenaries as of yet, she had to give the duty of training Weylyn to someone other than a mercenary. She had choosen Nyx. Padding back to her den, she peaked in. Nori, her adopted pup, was still sleeping. She smiled watching the small little pup curled up in their nest. She had found the pup, abandoned on a hunting patrol. Unfortunately, Reyah was unable to produce milk for the pup and so Hailfrey took her during the day to feed her and Evel, her own pup.

Midnight was already up in fact, he was already heading back into the packs home with a small deer in his mouth, it was a baby deer at best yet it seemed much smaller do to his rather big size, he begins to place the deer down in front of the den where the pups lay and soon sees Reyah awake, his tail wags a bit gracefully as he smiles and looks at his alpha “ Ah my lady you’re up! “ he says in his dark husky voice which now was just kind and a bit happy for some reason. He of course knew his position and stayed where he was until he was given a okay to walk up to her. He was a interesting wolf, who joined the pack a while back injuried and almost dead. Now he’s fully healed and one strong wolf, he hardly talks about his past but he is known to sleep outside and away from the pack for reasons unknown. However these days he’s mostly just been showing a bit more kindness to the rest of the pack especially to reyah. He looks at her with gentle blue eyes and smiles softly “ my lady? Are you in need of anything?”

Nori always loved her dreams, they were often happy and filled with imagination. She would dream about chasing rabbits and birds with her sibling Evel. In this dream how ever she was flying. High above the forest, she could see her pack mates and where she made her home. She felt on top of the world, but like most dreams she knows the never lasted. She could feel her body starting to stir, twitching every once and a while. Her dream soon faded as her eyes began to open. She blinked drowsily, her body automatically stretching of the sleep the she was dug in to. Lifting up her head she saw her mother peaking into the den, she smiled and gave a big yawn. She knew that Reyah wasn't her birth mother, or Hailfrey the one that suckled her. Nori didn't care though, to her Reyah was her mother, and that all that mattered.
She sat up and began to chew on her fur so it could lay naturally. Yawning again, she bounded over to her mother and sat back down next to her brushing her head agents her soft fur. "Goodmornin Mama." she said with a smile

My lady I’ll be back I have something for noir!” He Says as he suddenly turns away and runs off. Heading out of camp once again

Saralan looked around while carrying a rabbit back to camp and gave the rabbit to her sister, Hailfery, who was expecting a pup soon. She sighed and smiled back at her sister throwing that same smile right back at her

Nyx hadn't had the chance to sleep peacefully for a long time. Whether it was stress, wounds, or just her insomnia acting up, she was grateful for even a few hours most nights. Now, however, her sleep was almost peaceful--right up until a leaf, snapped off from the tree on top of her den, landed on her head. With a snarl, she jumped up, expecting an enemy, only to find that she'd woken up for nothing. What a great way to start your day.

Nyx yawned, baring her teeth. She couldn't exactly go back to sleep now--it was too late anyway. What kind of example are you setting for your pack if you sleep in? Stretching her hind legs, she slid out of her den and into the forest. She spotted Reyah as she shook out the stiffness from her paws. With a respectful nod, she rasped: "Good morning, Reyah."

It’s a blue jay and I know you may be hungry so do you wanna practice hunting with this guy?” He Says softly with a wagging tail

"Can I practice with the bluejay?Looking up at Reyah she wanted to her what her mother would say about it. Nori looked back at Midnight as well and gave an excited smile.

"Oh wow! That's an awesome dream." She grinned as she held her pup close to her. She sighed happily before looking over at the entrance to the Rocky campsite. "Oh that looks like so much fun." She looked down at her daughter. "It's very important that you learn to hunt. I will allow it but Midnight..." She turned toward him, a serious look plastered on the Alphess' face. "Be aware and make sure that bluejay doesn't hurt Nori." It was a small warning to the brute. She trusted he wouldn't allow her daughter to get hurt but she wouldn't tolerate it if it happened.

[SIZE="2"]Nori looks at the bluejay intently and crouches down waiting for Midnight to release the bird. As he releases his grip the pitiful creature tries to take off but its wing had no movement. Instead the bird uses its working wing to propel its self forward on the soils. Nori takes off after the jay smiling with excitement the entire time. As she got close to the bird she pounces, breaking its neck in the process. Nori looks at the body of the lifeless bird and looks back at Midnight and Reyah "I didn't mean to kill it so quickly" she says smiling shyly. Picking up the jay she trots back over to her mothers side and starts to naw on its leg. "Thanks Midnight for the Bluejay! It was super fun while it lasted!"

You truly do take after your skilled mom!” He says happily as he begins to lay down and watch her naw on the bird “ you’re welcome my dear. Anything for my little princess” he says playfully as he looks at Reyah “ by the way, should I hunt a bit more for the pack or will the deer do?” He asks warmly as he stands up now looking down at her but of course not against her.

Reyah's ears flicked at Midnight calling her daughter his princess and such. She wasn't sure how she felt about ot but let the thought pass and gaze at Nori. "Nori dear, it's always good to kill prey as quick as possible. Not nice to let the animal that feeds is suffer." She taught her daughter this life lesson and gazed back at Midnight. "Let's wait for the others to wake up and see if it's enough or not. We do not want to kill more than we need." She said a matter of factly. Nosing Nori towards the bird once more. "Eat little one. It is your kill after all. A very good kill indeed." She said agreeing with what Midnight had said before.

Reyah looked over at Nyx and gave the fae a small smile. "Good morning, sleepy-head." The Alphess teased. "Please make sure to eat and we will go mark our borders at sun-high." She said pointing, with her nose, to the small deer that Midnight had brought earlier that morning. A cool breeze ruffled her fur and her eyes slid to Midnight once more hearing him call her. Her ears flicked, listening to him. "That would be fine. We will go a bit after me and Nyx return from scenting the borders. For now, take Nori to Hailfrey, and then take Weylyn to train in the clearing. Do not stray far from camp while we are gone." She warned, before seeing the small male trainee bounding from his den, wobbly and groggily.

"Good morning Reyah! Midnight, Nyx, and of course, Nori." The small male trainee grinned as he patted the smaller pup on the head. "Oh did you catch that?" he asked the pup looking at the lifeless blue jay.

Nyx nodded sheepishly at the Alphess's orders. The smell of deer and fresh-kill combined to make her mouth water and her stomach rumble. "Will do, Reyah," she murmured, heading towards the food.

As she chewed the fresh-kill, she couldn't help but notice how thin the fatty meat was. Food is growing scarce, she thought. Winter was still not over. If the weather continued like this, the pack might be in trouble. Nyx was so deep in thought that she barely noticed a dribble of blood sliding down her chin. Or maybe I'm just overthinking it.

Blood still staining her ruff, she joined Reyah and dipped her head. "Ready to mark the borders?" she asked teasingly. Truth be told, she didn't mind doing it--in fact, she liked it more than she expected she would--but doing it every day had lost its appeal, even to her.

Nori nodded content with the Bluejay that Midnight had found for her "Midnight gave it to me so I could practice hunting!" She said proudly. There was not much left of the bird accept for a few feathers and fluff. Nori was playing with one of the main flight feathers from the bird, " Im going to keep this feather!" she said, and placed the the feather just behind her right ear. With a big grin she looked up at Reyah " Do you like it?" she asked, but because of the lack of thick adult fur on the pup the feather didn't stay on very well and fell off. Nori looked at the feather in frustration.

The young pup blushed as midnight place the feather behind her ear. She sat up "Ok!" She said and she trotted after midnight wagging her tail.

Looking down at Nori, she smiled in amusement at the pups frustration but then smiled when Midnight put the feather in and it stayed. She nuzzled the pups cheek with her nose. "You do look very beautiful." She gave a wolfy purr before looking over at Midnight. "We will be back." She said giving a small smile before turning around. "Let's go, Nyx." She said to the fae and bounded towards the entrance her tail swishing as she walked. Reyah had this walk that screamed strong and powerful, a leaders walk. She looked over her shoulder giving her daughter a smile.

(I'm thinking since Nori is old enough to 'hunt' and stuff, maybe she doesn't suckle anymore, maybe she eats the chewed up food?)

"You do look very beautiful." She gave a wolfy purr before looking over at Midnight. "We will be back." She said giving a small smile before turning around. "Let's go, Nyx." She said to the fae and bounded towards the entrance her tail swishing as she walked. Reyah had this walk that screamed strong and powerful, a leader's walk. She looked over her shoulder giving her daughter a smile.
Nyx snorted and attempted to lick the blood off her chin, but only managed to look ridiculous. She lashed her tail in embarrassment and followed the Alphess outside.

Nyx loved the camp, but the territory always took her breath away. She lifted her snout and took a deep breath as a brisk wind blew across the land. A smile gracing her face, she bounded after Reyah. "Ready?" she asked, her tone unusually light and airy.

Reyah nodded, "Let's get going." She said as she bounded toward the edge of their territory. When she finally reached the boundaries, she began to mark them. " We need to recruit more wolves find some males too. So far it's female dominant." She huffed looking at Nyx. "How go you think we could do that?" She asked.

Midnight nods “ as you wish” he says calmly as he looks at noir “ come on noir let’s go find Weylyn okay?” He asks softly as he nuzzles the pups cheek a bit picking up the feather and carefully placing the feather on her ear now making sure it stayed “ there you go beautiful.” He says playfully with a wagging tail

Nori Looked up at Midnight as she follows him "Where do you think we can find Weylyn?" she was wagging her tail back and forth.

Lupus gently rummaged through some herbs, using his nose to sniff each pile carefully. He would gently pick up a few from one pile, and place them in another. By accident, Lupus had earlier mixed up a few piles, making all the herbs in need of desperate sorting now. After a while a moving different herbs from place to place, he walked away from them all a moment, his eyes tearing up. "ACHOO!" He let out a loud sneeze from having shuffled through so many strongly smelling plants, with his sensitive nose. Once he had sneezed, he though a break was deserved, and trotted over to the fresh-kill pile. He rummaged through it for just a moment, and lifted up a juicy looking rabbit.
The rabbit swung against his chest as he walked away to find a nice spot to eat, and the spot he had chosen was an exposed rock that had a light shaft beaming on it to warm it. He laid down, and began to chow down on the rabbit feeling completely at ease.

Saralan yawned and grabbed a bone from a rabbit And started etching designs on it she looked around only seeing Lupus and started etching on it again.

Reyah padded into her camp scanning the camp for her packmates. She nodded to the few she saw. Looking around she wondered where her pup wandered off to. She gazed over at Saralan, "Have you seen Nori?" She asked tilting her head as she padded over to her sub-alphess.

Weylyn was in the training grounds waiting for Midnight. Midnight told him to wait for him at the training ground while he took Nori to the pup/queen den.

Nori was Padding along as she followed Midnight, "Are we going back to the den?Do you think Momma will be back from her patrol" She asked many question to the poor wolf not even giving him a chance to answer.

Nyx frowned, her tail swishing back and forth pensively. "I'm not sure," she replied. "We could try recruiting more wild wolves in the area, but I don't know if they'd be open to pack life." Personally, she didn't mind the female-dominated pack, but she could see Reyah's point. As she marked their borders, sniffing for any unfamiliar scents, she turned over the problem in her mind.
