Emily padded through the woods, her footsteps muffled by the deerskin shoes she wore. The trees seemed to give her cover from her prey, the deer not being able to see her. Emily had spotted the deer tracks a few miles back and she had followed the deer to this glade. Morning light danced through the leaves and hit the doe's soft brown haunches. Emily sank low into the bush and drew back her bow carefully. With a soft whoosh of air the doe lay on the ground. Blood pooled from its neck, the arrow protruding from the side of it. Emily had pierced the jugular and it had killed the animal instantly. Grabbing some twine from her pack which she had left by the bush, Emily wrapped the deer up, then suspended it in a tree. With the dead kill now hidden safely in the tree, Emily began to silently clean her arrow. Alert, for any signs of movement that might come from any predators smelling the blood. With any luck the girls may be dining on a venison feast, with a side of wolf meat. Emily was looking forward to getting a new wolf pelt anyways. Ever since she had read the story she had always wanted to make for herself a "coat of a thousand furs." So far she was about halfway done.

Mark awoke with a disgruntled snort as he pushed his over-excited lymrill off his chest. He had found the creature wandering the woods alone and Mark had decided to the creature himself. Despite the war, Mark wished he could a cryptozoologist and study all of the fascinating creatures for himself. So far Mark only had three animals but they were all fascinating creatures. His lymrill of course was his favorite, with his silver quills and frisky demeanor, Khonsu was a keeper. His other two creatures consisted of a baby brown roc named Coeus and a small, green, Chinese dragon named Daphne.

Emily turned to aknowledge the creature. She had noticed it before but dismissed it as not a threat, after all it was just the dragon from their camp. She had never bothered to learn its name. Instead of replying she just nodded her head and kept cleaning off her arrow with the red cloth. The tip now glistened a dangerous silver again. Emily stood up and strode towards the tree where the deer carcass hung. With a well aimed throw the deer came crashing down to the forest floor. Emily picked up the deer and handed it to the dragon. "Can you give it to the chefs? They'll know who its from." Emily said, her soft voice barely travelling through the dense trees.
