Hello darkness, my old friend

Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain

In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw

People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared

Silence like a cancer grows

Darkpaw is a depressed ShadowClan apprentice. She thinks she is shunned by all other ShadowClan cats, and starts talking to what she thinks is herself.
Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Little does she know it's actually her [Parent 1] who was killed by Blackwater [Parent 1] is trying to turn Darkpaw against her other parent against her knowledge.
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
[Parent 1] visits Darkpaw in her dreams continuing to turn her against Blackwater and making her believe that no one likes her. One night DarkWhisper, who just became a warrior, is now convinced Blackwater is evil, attacks them and kills them, she is then visited by [Parent 1,] finally realizing she had been manipulated.
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
As guilt over takes her, the molly flees ShadowClan to become a rogue. One day she comes back to ShadowClan, and meets a patrol of [Friend 1] [Friend 2] and Grayflame who used to think of her as a friend, although DarkWhisper refuses to believe this. She rejoins ShadowClan. Grayflame is the one who found Blackwater body, and had recognized DarkWhisper's fur in their claws, though they had not said anything. While Grayflame wants to believe that DarkWhisper didn't kill their own parent, they can't deny facts. Grayflame then confronts DarkWhisper in front of all the cats, if you read this far put a smiley face in the other section.just as DarkWhisper was beginning to think they may like her. She tries to explain that (Parent 1) manipulated her to do it, but they don't believe her.
Fools, said I, you do not know

In a panic, she attacks Grayflame either killing them or seriously injuring them. DarkWhisper once again flees the clan. She meets (Love interest 2) who doesn't believe in StarClan or the Dark Forest. They convince her not to believe in them either, though this makes her feel more guilty about Blackwater'sdeath.
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
Moons later, the patrol who found her earlier, become filled with a need for vengeance for Grayflame death. They track her down and fatally wound her, leaving her to die in the middle of the forest. In her last moments, as her vision blurs and goes dark she has one thought on her mind. Hello darkness my old friend...
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, the words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sounds of silence
