- Upon her deathbed Renee speaks to the small assembled crowd. Her breaths are raspy but her eyes have lightened up with pride and acceptance. The infection is reaching her blood stream and her health slowly declines. She was the shell of a beutiful woman that she once was -

- She dies upon finishing her speech using all her strength to get those words out. You quickly jot it down in your notebook and slip it into your back pack. The group looks around as the life of their leader slips between her fingers and fades. You stare at her body for a long moment. And than you step forward -

- You reassure the crowd assembled with you. You will carry on her legacy and bring them to the promised land. You know they can't take any more of this sadness and grief so you cannot fail them. You will sucsess Renee like she had wanted. And no zombie was going to get in your way -

Unlike usual representations of Rubin, this man is not flirty or mischievous. His heart was hardened and broken from the loss of his boyfriend (whom he had to kill after he had become a zombie). He has no time for fun and games, always business like and almost angry all the time. He is a man of action, not words; however if need be he will lecture people should the moment arise. Rubin dedicates all his time to training with various weapons, exercising, and going out to patrol the area and take down any straggling zombies that have wandered too close to their hideout. He's the type to run headfirst into a horde of zombies and take down as many as he can before succumbing to his injuries and joining their masses.

Valentine huffed from where he sat beside the door, his nose twitching ever so slightly. His dark eyes darted around, wondering if anyone would walk up to him. "Someone pet me." He whined, although he knew the Furless couldn't understand him- which only served to fuel his slight frustration. He wagged his tail as someone passed him, only to whine in disappointment upon seeing that it was Rubin. Rubin never pet him. However, being the dog he was, Valentine leaped to his massive feet and ran up to Rubin, rearing up on his hind legs to place his front paws squarely on Rubin's chest. "Hi Rubin!" He barked happily, his ears standing up. "Oh man it's so good to see you! My ear needs a scratch, could you pet- I mean, scratch it? Please?"
Rubin looked down at the massive dog as it leaped onto him, his hand twitching slightly. "Oh my gosh, Valentine." He grumbled to the dog, reluctantly raising a hand to stroke the heart-shaped patch on his forehead. He exhaled, gently guiding the dog off of him and grabbing his gun from the wall. "Stay here boy, alright?" He ordered, pushing the door open and stepping out into the harsh sunshine.

Natalie walked waround, hands in her pocket. She saw Rubin and Valentine, and she smiled. She looked away, almost blushing. She sighed and came up to the boys and asked, "Hello, guys! How are you?
Aw, hi Valley-Valentine! You're so cute!" she smiled as she pet the dog and even scratched a little behind both ears.

Aaron sat cross legged just outside the door watching the guard fence around the home base. Both hands where behind his head as he lazily gazed at the stars above him. The glare of the moon illuminating his rugged features and dark hair perfectly. If you hadn't been there you could almost mistake this as a normal life without fictionary creatures that feasted on the remains of once thriving organism, you'd simply see him peacefully resting in silence. When the door suddenly freaked the massive beast below him jerked but them simply grabbed the dogs collar firmly and grimaced as he restrained Loki from leaping up. He than Rose to his feet still holding the dog as he watched the door. He spotted Rubin halfway out of the door and simply smiled his rugged smile. A devilishly handsome smile almost. "Rubin-" he paused when he saw through the crack another siloutte "natille" he fj hashed with a presumtioys snipe at both of them. He let Loki go to stuff his hands in either pocket before leaving against the wall with a telaxed aura about him.

Loki stiffened at the slightest noise but relaxed when he located it's source, still straining to see who it was he felt the choking sensation on. His throat and merely coughed. this is why I hate you, hate all you naked human things! he growled under his breath. Byt when the door cracked open and the farmiliar scents of Rubin, valentine & natille rolled out to embrace him he simply smiled and scrambled against the pavement to get a look at valentine. He found him an interesting dog who could certainly be worth while if he wasn't as gentle, you see Loki thought there was two ways to live. Be soft and mooch off the humans or let the humans mooch off you. It was simply the most intriguing subject when he learned that valentine fell in the middle of this spectrum. Odd almost.

Natalie looked up and saw Aaron. "Hi Aaron!" She waved as she smiled. When a big dog came to see Valentine she said, "Loki! How are you, you handsome boy?" She grinned wider as she pet the dog, happily.

Naruto was in the medical room like always grinding herbs, mixing stuff. You know usual things for a doctor to do however he looked a bit distracted as he was mixing some stuff and eventually he just stops. Grabbing his head a bit as he sighs loudly “ .... where are you?” He asks to no one but seem to begging for a answer in a way as he looks at a picture of him and two other guys each happy and free with not a care in the world. Naruto begins to lay his head down looking at the picture. “ .... please be alive...”

Sasuke was walking down a alleyway keeping quiet, he had a mask on and a armored rope only the elite fbi used back in the day. He found it a while back while killing some bandits, behind him was his brother also wearing a mask and armored rope like he. Sasuke eventually finds something, a box nearby a old store. He quickly begins to walk towards it checking it only to find nothing. He sighs softly as he stands up “ let’s head back. “ he says calmly

Matilda was curled up near the rest of the people. She had always been somewhat distant, and with everything that had happened, she was only more silent. There was a time that she hadn't really been like this, but that was forever ago. Now she was almost dead silent, practically having lost her ability to speak. She watched the pets and other humans, almost wishing someone’s would talk to her. She didn’t initiate conversations very often either, to her, you never knew what could offend someone, even if they were practically the nicest person alive. Now she just watched, her blue eyes staring into the distance quietly.

Valentine huffed from where he sat beside the door, his nose twitching ever so slightly. His dark eyes darted around, wondering if anyone would walk up to him. "Someone pet me." He whined, although he knew the Furless couldn't understand him- which only served to fuel his slight frustration. He wagged his tail as someone passed him, only to whine in disappointment upon seeing that it was Rubin. Rubin never pet him. However, being the dog he was, Valentine leaped to his massive feet and ran up to Rubin, rearing up on his hind legs to place his front paws squarely on Rubin's chest. "Hi Rubin!" He barked happily, his ears standing up. "Oh man it's so good to see you! My ear needs a scratch, could you pet- I mean, scratch it? Please?"
Rubin looked down at the massive dog as it leaped onto him, his hand twitching slightly. "Oh my gosh, Valentine." He grumbled to the dog, reluctantly raising a hand to stroke the heart-shaped patch on his forehead. He exhaled, gently guiding the dog off of him and grabbing his gun from the wall. "Stay here boy, alright?" He ordered, pushing the door open and stepping out into the harsh sunshine.
Natalie walked waround, hands in her pocket. She saw Rubin and Valentine, and she smiled. She looked away, almost blushing. She sighed and came up to the boys and asked, "Hello, guys! How are you?
Aw, hi Valley-Valentine! You're so cute!" she smiled as she pet the dog and even scratched a little behind both ears.

Aaron sat cross legged just outside the door watching the guard fence around the home base. Both hands where behind his head as he lazily gazed at the stars above him. The glare of the moon illuminating his rugged features and dark hair perfectly. If you hadn't been there you could almost mistake this as a normal life without fictionary creatures that feasted on the remains of once thriving organism, you'd simply see him peacefully resting in silence. When the door suddenly freaked the massive beast below him jerked but them simply grabbed the dogs collar firmly and grimaced as he restrained Loki from leaping up. He than Rose to his feet still holding the dog as he watched the door. He spotted Rubin halfway out of the door and simply smiled his rugged smile. A devilishly handsome smile almost. "Rubin-" he paused when he saw through the crack another siloutte "natille" he fj hashed with a presumtioys snipe at both of them. He let Loki go to stuff his hands in either pocket before leaving against the wall with a telaxed aura about him.

Loki stiffened at the slightest noise but relaxed when he located it's source, still straining to see who it was he felt the choking sensation on. His throat and merely coughed. this is why I hate you, hate all you naked human things! he growled under his breath. Byt when the door cracked open and the farmiliar scents of Rubin, valentine & natille rolled out to embrace him he simply smiled and scrambled against the pavement to get a look at valentine. He found him an interesting dog who could certainly be worth while if he wasn't as gentle, you see Loki thought there was two ways to live. Be soft and mooch off the humans or let the humans mooch off you. It was simply the most intriguing subject when he learned that valentine fell in the middle of this spectrum. Odd almost.
Natalie looked up and saw Aaron. "Hi Aaron!" She waved as she smiled. When a big dog came to see Valentine she said, "Loki! How are you, you handsome boy?" She grinned wider as she pet the dog, happily.
Tord had been half-lost in his own thoughts. That was how he often was these days, and it drove him crazy. He’d be doing something and suddenly nostalgia was punching him in the chest. It annoyed him, to say the least. He wished he could forget about everything that had led up to this point, but he couldn’t, and that made him want to end it all. However, he had always found a way to push through that. Snapping out of his thoughts, he walked over to Naruto, blinking as he saw what the man was doing. “You Okay?” He asked softly, a smile he could tell that he wasn’t okay.

Matilda was curled up near the rest of the people. She had always been somewhat distant, and with everything that had happened, she was only more silent. There was a time that she hadn't really been like this, but that was forever ago. Now she was almost dead silent, practically having lost her ability to speak. She watched the pets and other humans, almost wishing someone’s would talk to her. She didn’t initiate conversations very often either, to her, you never knew what could offend someone, even if they were practically the nicest person alive. Now she just watched, her blue eyes staring into the distance quietly.

"Aaron." Rubin replied with a grunt, leaning his shoulder up against the doorframe and looking down at Loki with slight distaste. He didn't like the dog- he wasn't obedient, and he was rather aggressive. Almost like you. He thought, mocking himself. Frustration surged once more through his system at the constant distraction, wanting to go out and blast some bullets through the heads of the undead without having to talk to anyone. He brushed past Aaron slightly, his anger only rising as the steady beat of his heart rose up by the simple brushing of his flannel shirt against Aaron's. No. He didn't look back, marching through the gate and slamming it shut behind him to head out into the dusty terrain.
Valentine tilted his head at Rubin's behavior, a chuckle rising from his chest. "Rubin's gotta crush on Aaron." He snickered to Loki, a slight purr raising up in his chest as Natalie scratched behind his ears. "Ooh, that's the spot." He shook out his fur, glancing back towards where Matilda sat by herself, frowning ever so slightly. The sadness radiating from her was almost sickening to the dog, and he couldn't help but let out a whine.

Matilda was still dead silent. She had been staring at the ground, tracing her fingers along the coldness. It was almost a form of drawing for her. She couldn’t exactly draw using pencils, as she couldn’t find any of them, however, the ground worked sometimes, especially when it was dusty. Suddenly, she felt something on her. Of course, the thing wasn’t physical, but it felt like that to her. She looked up, and saw Valentine. She held eye contact for a few moments, before looking away, too awkward to say anything, or even do anything. She hoped she hadn’t angered the animal, despite a small feeling in her that it wasn’t reasonable to feel that way. You never knew how others felt until you met them, and since she hadn’t really taken the time to talk to anyone, she had no idea how anyone felt except for her.

He slyly opened the gate and took a few quick steps before grabbing rubins shoulder and using enough force to spin him around so he was facing him. "What about I go with you, I've been standing guard for a good three hours" he commented slightly raising an eyebrow and giving him a slight nudge with his shoulder. He slung his gun over his shoulder than walked past Rubin without waiting for his answer. "Loki!" his whistled. The dog perked up behind the closed fence. "Watch them for me will ya?" he commanded the dog who simply huffed and turned back to curl up on blanket on the ground.

Loki looked at valentine. "That's a bad idea, you know Aaron thinks he's unattainable" Loki commented stiffly watching as he left. He simply growled as Aaron whistled at him. "He's a heart breaker, I don't want that to happen to Rubin" he added before curling up on his mat. He than curled and dug his face into it. "Do you think we could... Maybe go out? I saw some squrriels"

Sammy awoke from his slumber. The boy was a night owl, thus he slept late. Yawning, the boy looked over to his therapy dog. Ginger had lifted her head to sleepily look at him. What a good dog! There wasn't any reason for the inward praise, it was just Ginger was a good dog. Getting up from the bed, Sammy got ready for the day, and exited his room. Sammy then looked for someone to chat with.

He simply stood behind Rubin allowing him to simply go ahead. He pressed closer to Rubin as if he was afraid but his face was stone cold. Unchanging and broad.

A large rifle was slung over her back, damaged and almost broken; it was obvious it had ran out of ammo, and had been used instead to bash over zombie heads. Shards of sharp glass on a thick string hung from her waist, looking to be a whip of sorts; and a slightly rusty strip of metal, wickedly sharp, was strapped to her arm, able to deal quite a bit of damage if she swung it hard enough.
The two children weren't anything like the woman, looks wise. Their skin appeared to be fair, their arms and face burned red by the unrelenting sun. They both wore thin white dresses, with daggers strapped to their waist with a simple leather belt. They both held a gun in their free hands, but they didn't lift it up to point at the men. Their hair had been cut short in an attempt to keep them cooler, and it was obvious that any meal rations the woman had, the girls received. They weren't super thin, like Misty was, but Noir and Angelica weren't super underweight. While Noir had raven black hair, Angelica had pure white locks, filthy from the dust.
Rubin didn't respond, glancing over at Aaron to see what he thought of their story.

Valentine squirmed under the plank, the massive dog barely fitting through the whole. "It's the same with Rubin." He replied, after making it to the other side. "When I was just a puppy, he was full of life and laughter. Definitely not the man he is toda- Squirrel!" He ran in the direction of a rather skinny creature, who squeaked in alarm and took off.

They weren't super thin, like Misty was, but Noir and Angelica weren't super underweight. While Noir had raven black hair, Angelica had pure white locks, filthy from the dust.
Rubin didn't respond, glancing over at Aaron to see what he thought of their story.

His ears angled down the alley and for a longs moment he stood facing it. Suddnely a scuffle from the back of the alleyway made him stiff. Suddenly the floating white eyes alerted Loki of their presence. Another wave! Loki spun and looked towards where he saw valentine last. "WE HAVE TO GO BACK! THEY ARE HERE!"

The man takes off his mask showing a dangerously handsome man with one blue eye and one amber eye. his long black and white hair was tied up in a ponytail. he looks at them coldly. Naruto begins to smile happily " you're alive! where were you two?!" he says happily as he suddenly hugs winter first since he was close by.

Sasuke looks at Word, than at Naruto but he than looks at Tord. " ... you a friend of Naruto? how has he been and what has he been doing in whatever you're a part off? " he asks calmly before holding out his hand to him. " but ill ask that later names Sasuke and the one Naruto is hugging is winter my brother.. forgive us for suddenly popping up like this. time can change a lot of people.... its good to know he has changed."

Misty focused her blue eyes on Aaron, her lips turning down into a delicate little frown as she considered the man in front of her. She hesitated slightly, thinking over her words before finally answering. "An... old town in New Mexico." She said, shifting slightly. Her gaze flicked over to Rubin and back to Aaron; despite seeming relaxed and comfortable in the situation, she was almost ready to begin running. Something about the men standing before her rubbed her the wrong way, and she wasn't quite sure what it was. Running her thin, long fingers down her dress and gripping onto the skirt, she tore at it slightly with her long nails, removing the bottom edge of the skirt in an effort to stay cool in the burning heat. She wrapped the fabric around her hand before stuffing it into her knapsack, which has been hidden in the shadows.
"We were out on a quick raid but I guess we can show you back... If your looking to come right now?"
Misty locked her eyes with Aaron, before looking down at the two children holding onto her hands with an apathetic look in their eyes. She glanced back before looking over at Aaron, contemplating the situation. Yes, they had been hoping for this exact same thing, but it felt slightly off. And then it hit her, with the desperate barking of dogs in the distance, growing closer; the utter silence in the area, save for the group's breathing and slight chatter. A few footsteps echoed from the alleyways, and then came the shrieks. "I believe now would be a great time to go back." She said, her voice shuddering slightly.
"Indeed." Rubin spoke up, pushing Aaron off of him with a slight glare. His eyes darted to the side and he lashed out with his gun, smacking the end of it in the creature's face before firing, the thing falling back and it's white eyes dimming. "Aaron, guide them there. I'll hold them off."

[ Here just wait til Aaron gets back to the base, he's going to be coming like right now with new recruits and Rubin ]

Aaron cursed under his breath and ran his hand through his wavy hair. Than he sprang into action pulling out his gun and slinging it just right that he now held it in sniper position. crouched and watching the street. A second later a head came into view and BANG! The alreayd lifeless body fell with a reasonable sized hole in its forehead. Aaron geunted and pulled the fun off his shoulder. "That damn dog, always making things harder for us" he snapped. He put his fingers on each side of his mouth and whistled for the dog. Suddenly the large dog, Loki, came lumbering up the road his chain collar dangling from his mouth as he padded up. Aaron crouched down and felt the dogs face as he came near. When he pulled his hands back he saw blood on his fingers. He looked back up at Loki and the dog turned his face away. He stood back up and beckoned for misty and her kids. "Hey... Kids? Yeah this is Loki, he's very friendly and he will lead you back to the base... Stay with him and he will do his job" he instructed the group of girls in front of him. Than patted lokis butt and the dog padded towards the girls. He tugged gently on of their dresses than turned and padded off. By now a group of zombies had accumulated by the roadway.

Talon Jay (or Tj, Talon, or Jay) paced in front of the base, waiting for someone to give her some news. She hadn't heard from anyone in a while and was starting to get worried about her members. Especially Aaron. He had left to do something, but whatever he was doing was a mystery to TJ, especially since she had just become co-leader. Being 18, she was a little young, but others thought she could handle it. She wouldn't have gotten the rank otherwise.

Valentine rushed up with Loki, avoiding Rubin's glare and looking at the kids. He gently nuzzled one and nudged Misty forward. "We're so in trouble." He groaned to Loki, shuffling along.
