before i begin, this is going to be like a small story to give a feel for my character, quince. they are genderfluid but for this i will use male pronouns. if you would like to see their document, click here. darkness reigns upon the light. his soul searches for the stars that leave the dark feeling bright, his blue eyes flicking from side to side. out the window, his head remains, cold air piercing through his skin. the name of quince is echoed from his parrot's beak, a chuckle escaping through thin lips. he turned, glasses shuffling down his nose. quince adjusted them before stepping away from the window and closing the screen.
"yes, crackers," he spoke softly, "i know it's late." he stretched and yawned, turning to the digital clock set upon his bedside table. a smile played at quince's lips, seeing how it was nearly two in the morning. "i guess i should head to bed. what do you say, crackers?" his head tilted towards the colourful parrot sat within her cage, wings twitching.
"bed! bed! bed!" the parrot cawed, her entire body shaking. quince shook his head fondly and slipped off his glasses, pulling on a warm shirt before sliding into bed and falling asleep.

the morning, as usual, brought tired groans and groggy brains. quince yawned, stretching once he found it in himself to fall out of bed— literally. he yelped, landing face-first onto the floor thankful that he had a rather thick carpet. "ow," the blonde-haired space fanatic moaned, grumbling and pushing himself up.
he rubbed his nose in pain, pulling on his glasses and opening crackers' cage. she cawed and flew out, landing on his shoulder and waiting for him to begin walking. quince sighed and opened his door before heading to the bathroom to brush his teeth. once finished, he went to get his parrot some food and himself some fresh clothes.
