A mother and father in Windclan gave birth to two kits, Quailkit and troublesome Yewkit. From the start Yewkit got the attention, Quailkit behaved herself and listened, but Yewkit was sneaking out of camp or sneak attacking the elder's at night, so they never had time for Quailkit. At three moons old, her father is killed in a border skirmish, her mother becomes distraught and doesn't really care what her kits do, Yewkit becoming out of control. Quailkit is the good one and tries to control her brother, but fails. When the fire break out, she wants to show off how brave she is, desperate for attention, and burns her paw, and while she's at it, her tail, and makes it so her fur never will grow back. Her brother makes fun of her. He becomes an apprentice on time, as he is suppose to, but she is stuck with Surgestorm, recovering. At nine moons old, she becomes an apprentice. No one really pays attention to her, not even her mentor, since she is struggling to hunt and walk too. Some cats suggest she retire early, but she refuses. She soon is 11 moons old, Yewpaw is a warrior and she is barely hunting and fighting. She is barily noticed and becomes a small dot. Her mentor retires, and they forget about appointing a new mentor to her, she soon at 18 moons old she becomes a warrior. She finds a crush on a young tom not quite old, however, he is busy and doesn't seem to see her. She starts to hunt and leave prey near him asking to share, but he just thanks her and eats it before wandering off. She asks him to go on patrols, he agrees, but doesn't get the idea. She realizes it and moves on, still hunting and feeling unwanted. Around 28 moons old, she finds out she is expecting kits, his kits. She hesitantly asks to speak to him alone, he has a mate and three kits of his own now, she tells him that she is expecting kits, and that they are his, he is angry with her, she asks him to when the kits are born tell the kits himself and be a father to the kits, he agrees, for the kits sake. A little later, his mate is bored with him for not spending more time with him, and attacks him, he fends himself off, not harming her, and she storms off breaking there relationship. He takes on Quail as a mate. They have kits and live happily ever after.
