We shall start. :3

Kion wasn't usually lazy. Usually. That was Kila's role.In fact, with his job, the cub was more active than ever! Except for now. Kion was stretched out on his side, enjoying the feeling of the sunshine beaming down on his golden fur. He was laying right at the peak of Pride Rock. The view of the Pridelands from there was... Amazing, to say the least. Kion could see everything. Even past the border into the Outlands. And across the other border, into the desert. Thinking of the desert made Kion think of Chaka almost instantly. He would go visit his friend.. Maybe later. For a few seconds, Kion almost wished Janja would come barging into the Pridelands and attack a zebra herd. Then he'd have something to do except sit around. Kion didn't like to just sit around. He probably should be enjoying his free time, yeah, yeah, but he really couldn't. There was so much he could be doing - So much he was used to be doing - That taking a break didn't mean anything to him. He liked what he did - Saving animals. But now? Who was there to save?

"You're mumbling again, and I'm trying to sleep." Kila huffed out from where she was, curled up beside her brother. Kion's amber eyes immediately slid over to the lioness cub. His twin, actually. The two were identical down to every last detail. Except, Kion had a tuft of red fur on his head, the starts of a mane, while Kila did not, as she was a girl. Still, one thing that always struck Kion was staring down into his sister's eyes - Like he was doing now. They were so identical, it sent chills down Kion's spine most times. Kila's brows furrowed as she gazed up at him, annoyance flickering faintly through her eyes.

Kion simply stuck his tongue out at her; The gesture was returned with ease. "It's morning, 'La. Actually," The cub reconsidered, glancing at the sky. "It's more afternoon.."

"Naps, Kai. Naps."

"Well, I'll leave you to your nap and go annoy someone else." Kion snickered, lightly brushing his tail across his sister's side in an affectionate manner before turning and heading back to the entrance to the cave. Kila and him bickered constantly, but they'd never really had a real "fight". Whenever they tried, it just ended in laughter. The two couldn't stay mad at eachother, even if their alike personalities sometimes caused them to butt heads. Kion couldn't really stay mad at any of his family, actually. And he knew Kila couldn't either, not that his twin sister would ever admit it. Not out loud anyway. Still, even though they were close, Kila scared Kion sometimes, honestly. And Kion knew how Kila could get when she was tired, so he left her alone. However instead of going inside he paused a little bit away and continued to look over the Pridelands.

''My father once told me that everything the light touches is our kingdom.'' Here we go again. Simba always started their conversations like this. Hoping to sound like his late father. Achieving to be like him. Kopa tried his best to listen carefully to his father. As firstborn cub, he would be the next king of priderock. So, he received lessons daily from his father. The tom hardly spent time with his siblings, learning how to perfect the posture of a king rather early. Simba was discussing their territory, Kopa flicked his tail, at first seemingly listening to his father before his eyes trailed downward to catch his sister and her best friend, Jelani chasing after a blue winged insect. Kopa's paws itched to join them. That was more fun! He wanted to be apart of that -

''Kopa.'' His father's stern voice brought the young cub out his thoughts, turning to his father to give him a sheepish grin.

''Sorry, I was distracted.'' He cleared his throat, curling his tail inwardly.

''You cannot let the littlest things keep you from learning your duties -''

''I know, dad. I'm sorry.'' Kopa pinned his ears down for mere moments before letting out an inaudible sigh. Unlike Kopa, Simba could remember impatiently waiting for his father to give morning lessons. It was the best time of the day! So, why Kopa couldn't do the same thing?

Jelani was a lot smaller than her best friend. This was because she was a hybrid. Her mother was a lioness, whereas her father had been a tiger. Given her pale golden fur, and dark tiger stripes coating her pelt. It was seldom that such crosses been made...and not supposed to be happening, but Jelani was a pretty adorable cub. A lot under height than others her age. Having to be born premature. As of now, she tried her best to keep up with her best friend to catch the winged creature. ''Wait up, Kiara!''

Kiara lunged at the butterfly, but it flew higher out the two cubs reach. Kiara lashed her tail in dismay, and rolled her eyes. ''It's gone now! Let's go find something else to do!'' Kiara began trotting back towards the majestic rock. Jelani pinned her ears to her head, a look of apprehension crossing her features. Though she followed her best friend with quicker trots since she usually lagged behind a lot.

When Kiara ran to the peak, not noticing that her younger brother was gone, she did spot a familiar pelt color. Of course - Kil sleeping soundly. Trying to enjoy a beauty nap. Well, that wouldn't be for long, for Kiara aimed to tackle her sister to abruptly wake her up. Jelani gasped inwardly, her small legs trembling. She wasn't about Kiara's playful nature. She liked to take things easy. ''Wake up, you fat lug!''

Kila was just about to fall asleep again, ignoring her father's voice and her brother's voice and her sister's laughing. Her paws were over her muzzle, and she was curled tightly into a ball. However, that changed quickly when Kiara leaped on top of her. She sputtered, immediately jerking out of her curled position and batting at her attacker. However, when she saw Kiara, the bats got a bit softer, but didn't stop, trying to push her sister off. "Kiara! I'm gonna kill you." She warned, but the threat was empty. She wouldn't dream of harming her sister. Or, anyone in her family. Not that she'd say that out loud.

Kion paused slightly beside Kopa, looking down across the Pridelands for a moment. Not for the first time, he thought about how much pressure, how much responsibility would come with ruling a Kingdom. Good thing he was only the leader of the Lion Guard, eh? "Mufasa knows I'm glad I'm not in your paws, Ko'." Kion murmured, more to himself than to Kopa. Sure, he could have turned out like his great Uncle Scar. Former leader of the Lion Guard. Driven by power. And revenge. Ha! Yeah, right. While Kion was worried most times about losing control of the Roar, he'd never really been concerned over becoming like Scar, though he was sure his family - And Rafiki - Often worried about it. Truth was, Kion couldn't care less about who ruled the Kingdom. As long as it wasn't him! Being a leader was one thing. Being a ruler was another. He was content with what he had. And even if he wasn't leader of the Lion Guard, he'd still be content with it.

"It's the Ciiiiirrrcle of Liiiiife," Kion hummed to himself now, padding forward past his brother and father and heading down off of Pride Rock. But, not before pausing beside his father and watching Jelani pass. The cub's eyes narrowed in obvious distrust, his thoughts trailing off to how that had happened, anyway. A lion and a tiger hybrid? Ha. Kion could never imagine falling in love with a tiger, much less having a cub with one. The thought made him scoff. "Tigers.." He mumbled under his breath, unknowingly flexing his claws as he looked toward the desert, then glanced after Jelani again. Every other animal, Kion was perfectly fine with. Even hyenas. But tigers? It wasn't just that he didn't like them. Well, didn't like was an understatement.. Kion loathed tigers. But, he also distrusted them. Greatly distrusted them.

The princess quickly jumped back from her younger sister, entering into a playful crouch that meat she was ready for he oncoming attack. Where was Jelani when you needed her? Kiara rolled her eyes. "Stop being such a sissy." Her eyes glanced towards her father and their older brother. Kopa was a pale version of Simba, appearing to stand out to Simba's darker pelt. Where was their mother so they wouldn't disturb Kopa's lesson? Simba couldn't yell at them, however. He had been deeply amused by his cubs' nonsense. "Kiara, stop bothering Kila." His voice was gentle, and Kiara let out a muffled response. Simba flicked his ears, turning back to look at Kion. "There's nothing wrong with being a king." He scolded his youngest cub. To think Kion said such a thing. Then to use his grandfather's name in vain? Simba huffed.

Kopa didn't bother to say anything. He simply gave them each a smug expression, his tail swaying in the air. Simba gave Kopa a curt nod, indicating for him to move along. They would be go deeper into the pridelands. Kopa wanted to stay and have fun with his siblings - however, duty called. So, the cub picked himself forward and followed after their father with meek steps. Kiara shot him an apologetic look, but turned to her best friend, watching as Kion gave the small weakling a glare. "Stop staring at her like that. It's weird." She snorted at him.

Jelani - on the other hand didn't like to be stared at. The tigon had cowered. She knew Kion. Heck! She knew all Kiara's siblings. Jelani avoided the prince's gaze and stalked off to be next to Kiara. She didn't know what was Kion's problem, and she was already scared out her wits! Her small paws felt heavy. Like rocks had been laid across her back, leaving her in agonizing pain. The small cub sat next to her friend, her eyes downcasted. Kiara laid a small smile to Jelani, but Jelani wasn't looking and therefore had missed the smile. "Don't you have loved to go ruin - then save?" Kiara gave a playful sneer. It was like she was a protective older sister for this little one. Tigons were very small, not averaging the height of a normal feline.

Kila stuck her tongue out triumphantly at Kiara, sitting up since she knew she wouldn't be getting any sleep now. She glanced around for a moment, then let her eyes rest on her brother again, head tilted in faint curiosity. Why was Kion glaring at Jelani? Kila herself wasn't too fond of many others, but the tigon had managed to break past the careful shell. She flicked her ears when Simba spoke, then when Kiara spoke, but didn't join in, deciding Kion had been teamed up on enough. Instead she turned away to her sister. "Did you want something, or did you just wanna annoy me?" She chuckled lightly.

Kion's ears flattened when his father scolded him, and he didn't reply, shooting a look toward Jelani. When Simba and Kopa walked away, Kion simply sighed and shook his fur out, glaring at Kiara when his older sister spoke. "Oh, stuff it, Kiara. I'm going out anyway. Have fun with your tiger." The cub growled, shooting a glare in Jelani's direction. Now, Kion was not a hostile cub. He loved everybody! Except, tigers. He knew his family didn't know why, and he knew they wouldn't understand if he told them. The cub turned on his paws, tail lashing, and made his way off of Pride Rock.

"Stupid, flea-brained, rat-faced, striped idiots." The cub grumbled to himself, fur spiking up. He was usually so sweet, but when it came to tigers, it was like he was a completely different lion. But, what else did he expect? Really, Kion didn't hate tigers. Not as much as he would have liked. He was terrified of them, though. Beyond terrified, really. And he stopped for a second on the bottom rock, imagining Lucifer's reaction to his words. It was enough to have the anger evaporate instantly, his eyes squeezing shut and his head shaking vigorously, as if that could get rid of the memories swimming through his mind. Without a word, he launched himself off of the rock and took off past Simba and Kopa, just needing to clear his head.

Idiot, Kiara scrunched up her nose, her face distorting into one of displeasure. Kion didn't have to come at Jelani like that. She was already bullied by half the pride. The tigon cub was unusually malnourished. No, she wasn't skinny, but she wasn't the normal growth of a cub. The princess shook herself, hoping to be rid of any uncomfortable feeling that was sure to make its presence. Turning back to her younger sister, Kiara gave a ebullient smile. ''If I remember correctly - younger sisters are nuisance to the older ones.'' Her smile broke out into a smirk, and padded over to her sister to sit next to her. Like a puppy, Jelani stumbled after her, her doey amber eyes watching her footing. The small cub had been very clumsy, and always had a way of tripping over her paws. Kiara gave her friend a sheepish grin, before turning back to the youngest princess. ''You wanna go to the watering hole with us?'' She asked. But, it wasn't a question - question. She asked out of politeness. The ulterior of her question was a demand: You're coming with us whether you like it or not. So, get your lazy butt up and follow us. Typical Kiara. The sweet, ever-so-cunning royalty.

Simba sighed. What was up with Kion? He brushed pass them, clearly upset. Simba would had gone after him if he didn't know that perhaps - Kion needed alone time. Kopa simply scoffed - Kion was being dramatic. There was nothing wrong with Jelani. Plus, Kion always had been kind, so what was the difference with the hybrid cub? Simba turned, shifting their direction into another part of the pridelands, and Kopa followed his trail like an obedient cub. Lessons came first. Fun later...but maybe - just maybe, he can turn this lesson into something fun. His eyes glimmered up into the sky, hoping to witness a certain birdy that would make his day a terrible amount of fun.

Kila snickered at her sister's comment, but rolled her eyes at the question. "As in... You're gonna drag me there if I don't agree." She corrected, but stood up. "You know what? I'll actually come willingly. But only because I'm bored, and I like hanging out with you. And Jelani." She gave the Tigon a warm smile, then nodded to Kiara. "Lead the way, oh-so-great Princess." A chuckle escaped her lips, a teasing glint in her amber eyes as she shook her fur out again. Of course, she knew she was a Princess, too. But, she didn't care much for being Royalty. She didn't even act like a Princess at all.

~~~O3O~~
Kion continued running, not exactly sure where he was headed. He liked the feeling of the wind through his fur. His ears pinned back, and his eyes narrowed against the wind as he continued to run, picking up some speed. He leaped up over a rock, stopping briefly to catch his breath before running again. He loved running through the Pridelands - It brought such a rush. Made his heart race. And at least it was something to do. The cub bounded through the grass with long strides, paws thumping rthymically on the ground. Finally, though, he skidded to a stop near the lake. The lake that bordered the desert. Still, Kion paid no mind. As long as he didn't cross, he was fine. So he stopped, digging his claws into the ground to help him stop running. He sat there, gasping, before lowering his head and letting his muzzle touch the water, trying to catch his breath.
Suddenly a white streak slammed into the cub, and both Kion and his "attacker" shrieked in surprise as they both plummeted into the water. Luckily though, it was shallow, both of them able to stand up if it weren't for them being knocked down. It was the "attacker" who stood up first, quickly leaping back onto shore. She didn't even bother to shake out her fur, more worried about who she'd run into. "Oops! Oh, I'm so, so, so sorry!" She apologized profusely, ears flattening. It was a tigress, about Kion's age. Her fur was bright silver, and she had black - almost blue - stripes. "Are you hurt? I'm sorry!"
"I'm fine, it's okay." Kion managed to say through the shock, scrambling to stand up. He quickly shook out his fur, sending water spraying everywhere. "See? Perfectl--" He cut off when he got a look at the tigress. Normally, at the sight of a tiger, he would have either attacked or ran. But when his eyes met the tigress's - They were so blue - Kion just froze, the words dying on his lips.
"Are you sure? I wasn't looking where I was going, and - Goodness! I'm sorry I got you wet." The tigress continued to apologize as she padded forward, not caring as she entered the water to sniff along Kion's pelt, making sure he was unharmed. For once, Kion didn't flinch away or growl, he just stood there, watching her through wide amber eyes. "Are you sure you're not hurt?" The tigress frowned at him.
It took a moment for Kion to be able to speak again, the words coming out stuttered. "What? Oh - No - I - I'm fine. Trust me, it wouldn't be the first time." The cub's eyes flickered briefly over the tigress's pelt, then met her piercing gaze again. Once again, Kion felt everything else around him just stop.
"Oh, good!" The tigress smiled, and when she did, it brought a sparkle to her eyes. Kion's breath seemed to leave him for some reason, unable to speak anymore. "Again - I'm so, so sorry.."
"No worries." Kion whispered when he caught his breath again, completely confused as to why he wasn't snarling at her right about now. He couldn't really bring himself to feel mad. Just staring at her, he felt... More calm than he probably should have. The cub just blinked at her for a moment, before finally managing to stutter out another response. "Oh - I'm Kion."
The tigress's smile widened ever so slightly, and her bright blue eyes softened even more, if possible. Kion was so lost in her gaze that he barely heard her response. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Kion. I'm Natasha."
Kiara snickered, brushing her tail swiftly over the younger cub's ears. "Smart, girl." Kiara, by all means, was not a mean cub. In fact, she was truly helpful, a lot playful, and always tried her best to do anything. Even if she wasn't anything important; Kopa being future king, Kion running the lion guard. Specifically, she didn't know where her place in the circle of life was. With four cubs, she couldn't imagine the stressful parenting that Simba and Nala had to bestow on them. "Let's go. I suppose I can get my paws wet in this moist season." Kiara would never fully attempt to go into the water. Jelani, on the other paw, found the power relaxing. Tigers naturally loved water. And, being part tiger, the miserable cub embraced that side to her. Albeit this didn't work in her favor. Since she was entirely small, lacking true growth, she was bound to drown at some point. Her father, Mzuri told her from time to time to not head into the water. At least, not until she grew a couple inches.
At her sister's playful response, Kiara held her head high. Like a princess would and she jumped easily, effortlessly from rock to rock, making her way down from the great den. Of course, Jelani allowed Kilana to move before she had. Her father told her to respect the royal family, and to always walk behind them. No. Matter. What. So, once Kilana trailed after Kiara, Jelani was stumbling forward, her doey Amber blue eyes cautious with every move she made.
~OWO~
It was quiet. A very serene place. Simba let out a long sigh, sitting down and enjoying the wind coursing through his pelt. Every time that happened, his father was in his mind. Though...what if it were Sarabi? Surely, she was up there. With his dad. The great kings of the past. The elegant queens of the past. Simba blinked his eyes, Kopa sat gingerly next to his father, staring ahead at the vast landscape. Long yellow grass on the other side, hard to detect of anything was over there. Kopa tilted his head for a moment, dazed. Simba didn't both to give his son a look. "Kopa - tell me," he paused. Then continued. "Who is Mohatu?"
Kopa blinked his eyes, drawing out a sigh for a moment. His claws aimlessly drew in the dirt. He swiveled his ears to the large lion's question. "He was the...first king of the Pridelands." That he knew. Everything he knew about the beginning of the pridelands because Simba constantly quizzed him on it.
"And, how is that?"
Kopa closed his maw for mere moments, thinking, trying to find the accurate answer in his mind. "He was a very noble lion." Kopa said, his voice failing for a moment. Simba nodded to his sons, expecting him to continue on. "All the animals respected him greatly because he led them from a...miserable water drought." The great Mohatu would never be forgotten. Kopa only learned so much about the dark chocolate king. Yet, that was expected since he would become king himself. Simba smiled, fluffing out his mane.
"Correct." The father cleared his voice. "You know, the pridelands is still young. I'm only the fifth king standing here. And, one day, my son - you'll be the sixth. The pridelands is your other cub. As a king, you must nourish it and protect it. Mohatu was a great lion. And, everyone loved him. My grandfather, Ahadi was more reckless than the first king. But, that was only because Ahadi wasn't born royalty -"
Oh boy, how many times have he heard this story? As Simba rambled, Kopa unconsciously found himself trailing along to what his father was saying, recalling each tail of a different king. Ahadi was a rogue lion who had no manners. Princess Uru fell in love and the two became mates. Mohatu tried to teach Ahadi the way of being a king...Then grandpa Mufasa came along. He was a wondrous king like the great Mohatu. Too bad he had fallen to his brother Scar...now, that's a lion Kopa wondered about. But, he had been too scared to ask such questions to his father, so he brushed them aside.
"......Taka was apart of the lion guard. He ruled it, but he became too power greedy and lost his chance. And, killed my father. So, of course he's counted as a king. A bad king. The very first bad king and would be remembered by..."
The golden cream cub had been distracted. In the distance, a ladybug flew over his nose. When it landed, Kopa went cross eyed for a moment, stifling in laughter. His father was still talking, trying to teach him, but Kopa been heavily inclined to the ladybug's intention to play. As it flew, Kopa jumped up. His steps light and unheard as Simba continued on about the lions of the past. Kopa pawed at the ladybug, following it with a bounce in his steps.
Now, this is what he wanted.
To have fun.
"Hey," he growled, crouching low into a playful stance. "Get back here - you!" He shouted, jumping up and following the dear ladybug across the pridelands. He wasn't going to lose this chance! Ladybugs were good luck! He had heard it before...or was it bad luck? Kopa didn't have time to care. The eldest cub jumped after it. Once it landed on the ground, he crept forward. His tail flicked in the air.
Wait for it...
Crept slowly.
Wait for it...
Stalk.
Wait for it...
POUNCE!
"Gotcha!" He grinned, entrapping the small creature between his paws. His ears perked up, and when he removed them; the ladybug definitely wasn't there. Kopa felt his ears dropped, and he looked up.
"Where am I?" Pretty much looked like a desert. But...how did he end up here in the first place?
"Smarter than you." Kila chuckled teasingly, reaching out to bat her sister's tail away. When Kiara began leading the way, Kila stood and bounded after her, but dropped back slightly suddenly to walk beside Jelani. "So, 'Lani," The golden cub smiled slightly over at the Tigon, her amber eyes bright. "Real sorry about Kion. If you want, I can beat him up when he gets back." She offered, looking completely serious, but of course she was joking. She'd never hurt her brother. Unless it was for a very good reason, at least. But still, she could get a few swipes in. Kila knew that, for some reason, Kion distrusted tigers. But Jelani was good. And Kion had no right to be mean to such a sweet Tigon.
~~~O3O~~~

A tiger, older than Kion but younger than Lucifer, padded through the desert. His large paws skimmed over the sand with ease, used to the feeling beneath his pads, and his intent brown eyes were fixed ahead. He heard his brother, Sam, bickering off in the distance with Lissie, and heard Lucifer snap at them, telling them to be quiet. Nigel was following the scent of a rabbit, however, uninterested in any of them. His nose was pressed to the ground, and when he accidentally inhaled sand, his head shot up immediately, letting out a loud sneeze. Great, he'd probably scared the rabbit off now. "Nice going, Nige'." Nigel hissed at himself, tail flicking contemptuously. For a moment his thoughts flashed to Kion. The cub had been one of the best hunters in camp. Which, mixed with his obedience, made him a pretty good slave.

Nigel huffed to himself and pushed forward, claws sinking into the ground with each step. Suddenly, he squinted. Was that a.. Cub? Nigel's eyebrows raised curiously, and his eyes narrowed faintly as he neared, the outline becoming more clear. "Runt?" He mumbled to himself, his brown eyes wide with interest as his pace picked up. Surely Kion wouldn't have been so stupid as to enter the desert again, would he? The tiger slowed as he neared the cub, however, and he groaned inwardly. That wasn't Kion. That was someone else. Disappointed, he debated on leaving, but he paused. The Sabers needed more slaves anyway. But he was alone... Nah, he could take the cub.

So Nigel turned back, and continued forward. "Hey, there." The tiger greeted Kopa as he neared, giving the cub a once-over. He looked a bit like Kion. A bit paler, and with a brown mane, different colored eyes.. But the same facial features. Nigel stared for a moment before speaking again. "Who are you?"

"You should get outta the water." Natasha advised, her gaze running over Kion. His name rang some sort of bell. Eclipse had mentioned something about him before, hadn't he? The tigress frowned for a split second, thinking deeply. Was this the escapee? The one that got away? Natasha wasn't sure. She'd seen the slaves in camp, and they all had this... Dullness to their eyes. Kion's eyes sparkled. They shined. He held this air of command to him, of confidence. And yet, Natasha observed as her blue eyes met Kion's, there was still something different about him. Beyond that mask he was holding..

"Ah.. Right." Kion's voice snapped her out of her thoughts in time to watch the cub slide past her, back onto the dry land. Natasha followed quickly, cringing away as Kion shook his fur out. But then the tiger crossed forward, sniffing him again, and Kion just watched her. "So.. Where you from?"

"Desert." Natasha's eyes snapped to his face. Kion's expression changed only for a split second, and Natasha's suspicions were confirmed. This cub had been a slave. Natasha wasn't sure how long ago it was, but it had happened. Kion's face was masked in the next instant, and Natasha quickly changed the subject. "Where are you from?" As she spoke, she crossed forward and, much to Kion's surprise, rasped her tongue down his fur, cleaning the water off. It was the least she could do.

Kion shuddered under the touch, but only because it had sparks erupting. He didn't cringe away like he would have, had this been any other tiger. He stayed where he was, almost feeling comforted. How was that even possible? A second passed, and Kion realized he had yet to answer her question, so he quickly responded. "O- Oh. Ah - I'm from, Pride Rock." He said quickly, nudging his nose toward the huge stone.

"Oh?" Natasha's head turned briefly to study Pride Rock, way off into the distance. "That's a nice place."

Kion grinned slightly, which took both of them by surprise. "It's been here since forever." His words made Natasha giggle. Kion's heard skipped a beat, and in the same second, he decided he loved that sound.

Natasha chuckled warmly, watching him. But her thoughts were racing. If this was the runaway, Lucifer was still looking for him. And both of them were right near the desert. And she also knew her father was patrolling at the moment. So, in a quick, spurt of the moment decision, Natasha spoke. "So, I've always wanted to explore the Pridelands. Care to show me around?"

Kion would have refused. Really, he would have told her to take her tail back to the desert and stay there. But something about her... Kion just couldn't bring himself to be mean to her. She was.. Different. She was.. Kion couldn't explain it, but he couldn't bring himself to hate this tiger. Not at all. So after a moment, Kion smiled, and he nodded, and he padded forward a bit, gazing over the Pridelands. Natasha followed and stood at his side, and Kion cast her a glance. "I think you're gonna like it here."

What was the use of throwing around insults at her sister? Kiara and Kilana could argue all day if given the chance. Though princesses shouldn't argue. Nor, be out of place. They needed to be kind. Sweet. Elegant.. divi- bleh. "Says the fool." Kiara threw back, triumphantly. Even though she should had been the bigger sister, Kiara was not going to allow Kilana to override her. Even if it was humorous because she was being humorous as well. She liked to play around with her sister. Well, her siblings in general.

Jelani tried her best to keep her, not realizing that Kilana had started to walk beside her. Which, actually was very surprising. Jelani expected Kilana to run after Kiara, then Jelani would try her best. Her best to run after them. She wasn't the fastest runner. She wasn't the greatest swimmer. Most likely, she wasn't even that great of a stalker. She was too small to do such things. Upon Kilana's use of nickname for her, the cub almost found herself tripping. Her large hues locked on the princess, awestruck and admirable. Kilana gave her a nickname! A nickname! Woah... so, this was what caused her to trip because she was dumbfounded as well as giddy on the inside. The small one caught herself rather quickly before she made a complete fool of herself. To Jelani, she wanted an apology personally from him. Not another for behalf of his actions. But, being who she was - she would never force him to do anything against his will. Her ears flicked. "Oh, no, no, no!" She shook her head vigorously. "No need to harm the prince. Plus, he's the lion guard. Protector of the pridelands. It's my fault. I should had never crossed him." Her voice was tiny, and her paws shuffled slightly. She had appreciated that Kilana would do such a deed, but it wouldn't have been necessary.

Kiara, leading the two girls waved her tail impatiently in the air. "Will the two of you come on? I wanna find a comfortable spot before all of them are taken!" What were they talking about anyway? And, couldn't they pick up their speed?

~OWO~

This place was a lot foreign to Kopa. He never found himself wanting to be in the desert. It wasn't anything...there. He heard small tales that Simba had been in the desert before. Even in the jungle. Kopa flicked his ears, a familiar buzz singing in them. The prince turned his head, locking his eyes to the insect he dubbed as a play mate. "Hm." He hummed, shaking his head. The bug landed on his shoulder, and Kopa began walking.

Kopa was a very curious cub. He wanted to find out about this place. But, how can you find out about...nowhere? It was ridiculous! A few plants resided in this yellow area, but other than that? Nothing. Nada.

The ladybug fluttered off of him, starting to fly away. Kopa followed after the insect, believing it was his good luck charm. His paws thudded against the sandy floor, smiling widely. Now, this was something enjoyable! Sitting around and talking about the great kings of the past...certainly was not.

Kopa jumped after the bug, pawing at it. But, the ladybug outsmarted the cub, flying much higher than before. "Come back down here!" He chuckled, slowing in his pace once he heard pawsteps. His ears straightened up, and he narrowed his eyes to look around. Seemingly out of no where this...tiger appeared. Okay...don't panic. Kopa was going to be a king. Kings did not panic. They weren't frightened. Even trying to build up his confidence, a look of apprehension stayed as his expression.

Kopa shuffled back for a moment, looking over his opponent. Debating on what he should do - what would Simba do? Kopa trailed his blue gaze upwards, interlocking them with the other animal. Keeping his head high, and hisntail raised, Kopa stated, "I'm Kopa. Prince of the Pridelands." That oughta do it. He added his rank to ensure who he was. No tiger would mess with a prince. Surely, not. If he was harmed, his dad would do bonkers. And, no one wanted to mess with Simba.

No one.

Flickering his tail from one side to the other. He didn't say anything else. He didn't know anything about this tiger, nor was he going to reveal any information.

Kila blinked when Jelani nearly tripped over her own paws, and found herself rushing forward, pressing slightly against the Tigon to try and help her keep her balance. When she was sure Jelani wasn't going to fall again, Kila drew back. The young cub's words sparked a bit of anger in Kila, narrowing her eyes faintly. "You didn't do anything wrong." She chided, albeit gently as her tail lightly flickered down Jelani's side. She glanced ahead for a moment. "Kion just has a problem with tigers. I'll talk to him later." She murmured. Whatever was up with her brother recently, she'd find out. It'd been over a week since he returned from.. Mufasa knows where. Kila understood he'd act a bit distant after a month-long journey, but he'd constantly dodged the subject of where he had been. Kila had waited long enough. And, she'd make sure Kion knew Jelani was as innocent as they come.

Kila's eyebrows raised, her sister's voice snapping her out of her thoughts. The lioness cub rolled her eyes lightly at her sister, an amused smirk tugging at her maw. "Oh, hush, brat." She retorted, then lightly nudged her shoulder against Jelani's. "We'd better hurry after the Princess, 'Lani. I swear, I'm gonna push her into the water." Kila snickered before trotting ahead with Kiara, ears pricked.

Nigel already didn't really like this cub. But he did like the look of fear that crossed Kopa's face for a second. But his expression gave nothing away, looking mildly curious. His head tilted when Kopa spoke. "Prince?" He echoed, sitting back curiously. He wanted information - So he had to appear less threatening. The tiger groomed down the fur on his shoulders for a moment. Kion was a Prince, too, right? Lucifer had mentioned something about that.. "Do you know my buddy, Kion?" He inquired, brown eyes fixed intently on Kopa. Lucifer would be pleased with him if he found out a way to get the "Runt" back. And, perhaps, Nigel could also capture this one. He seemed like he'd be a little tough to break, kinda like Kion was, so it'd be fun to try.

Nigel cast a glance over his shoulder, the voices of his brother, Lissie, and Lucifer fading out as they seemed to trail deeper to the desert. Good. Nigel had to gain the cub's trust alone. In fact, the tiger's mind was already spinning, already hatching up a plan. He could get both Kion and this cub - Kopa. Realizing he hadn't yet introduced himself, Nigel quickly turned back to Kopa and gave a fake smile. It was rather convincing. "Sorry - Where are my manners? I'm Nigel. Pleasure to meet you."

Oh boy, oh boy - now Jelani done it. She set Kilana mad. It was evident in her scolding. Even if it had been a gentle scolding, it made Jelani's ears roll back for a quick minute. Jelani would had whimpered - but what was the use? Instead she twitches her nose, and locked her gaze on the ground. She needed to watch her steps. Jelani was very sensitive. She didn't want Kilana to be mad at her. The action of Kilana gently brushing her tail against the cub made Jelani glance at her for a quick second before she looked down again. "I'm sorry that I had been a bothered. I promise - I won't do it again." Ah, Kion didn't like tigers. That meant she would avoid the prince as much as possible. Because she was part tiger. Her father was a tiger. And a good friend of king Simba himself.

"O-oh! Yes, Kiara! Here we come!" Jelani stumbled forward a bit, trying to catch up as quick as she could to be near her closest friend. Whereas, Jelani was ever constantly sweet and kind - Kilana had the power to annoy her sibling. Kiara dismissed her sister's words, a small smirk playing on her maw. Though they couldn't see it. However, Jelani gave Kilana a horrid look of realization at her words. Pushing the princess in water? Kiara would surely drown! That was absolutely...terrifying! But, the glint in Kilana's eyes said otherwise. O-oh, she was...joking. The small cub scoff at herself for thinking otherwise. She felt like an airhead.

Kiara was the first to arrive at the waterhole, her auburn gaze looking around at all the other animals. This was the place to be. A good hangout. Now, if only she could spot that specific place she wanted to lay at. Oh! "I wonder if Tiifu and Zuri are here!" Her other friends. Princess Kiara had a lot of friends, being that sweet, friendly face. Heh, sweet.

Kiara walked proudly through the waterhole, hoping to detect her other closest friends. They weren't the...smart ones, but Kiara did enjoy being around them.

~OWO~

"Didn't I just say that?"

That was a bit snappy. Kopa quickly closed his maw, twitching jisnears constantly. He had to remain on guard. He didn't know who this tiger was, which shouldn't be long since Kopa introduced himself. He was a cub. He had no intentions on bothering anyone. He followed a ladybug because he was wanted to play. Oh, Mufasa! What will my father do to me? Truthfully, the prince should never had snuck away from his dad. That saddened him even more because he would have to deal with Simba's wrath later.

"Hm?" Kopa blinked his eyes. He...knew his brother? Did this tiger just say his brother's name? Kopa wasn't that brilliant, but he knew his brother was the only Kion in the pridelands - perhaps. "Your good friend, eh?" That was convincing enough. If Kion knew them, then they were a friend. The thing about that was, Kion was the protector of the pridelands. They saved animals everyday. Everyone was a friend - weren't they?

Kopa allowed himself to believe this, so he gave a friendly grin to the bigger tiger. "Yeah, I know him! He's my brother." Kopa stated, fondly. Proudly. "I didn't know he was a good friend of yours. So, you must be a good friend to me as well." A friend of Kion's was a friend of Kopa's.

The tiger had introduced himself, and Kopa gave a rather regal nod as if he were king. "Likewise." Kopa had decency to be respectful and always polite - another kingly rule. Even if he didn't want to be king, he would play his role in the circle of life as Simba always said. Kopa analyzed the tiger, not paying heed to if he carried ulterior motives. It didn't much because Kion was very friendly. So, Nigel must be as well. "So, how do you know my brother?" He was generally curious about how Nigel knew of Kion. Did Kion rescue him before or something? Maybe if he wanted to see Kion, Kopa could take him to see him. Oh, Kion would be so overjoyed!

Kila giggled to herself, a very rare sound coming from her, indeed. But she let her guard down now, now with her sister and friend. She smiled at the horrified expression on Jelani's face, shaking her head in amusement. "Not really, Jelani." She told the Tigon, amused. When they reached the watering hole, Kila listened intently to her sister's words, and frowned. She didn't like Tiifu and Zuri. Not really. Tiifu was just.. Annoying, and Zuri was so stuck-up. So, the golden cub shrugged and lowered her muzzle to the water, lapping at it for a moment before standing up and shaking her fur out. "Is that them?" She asked, nodding toward two lioness cubs standing near the water. One of them was lighter than the other.

The lighter one looked up, her pale green eyes meeting Kila's, then Kiara's. "Zuri, look, Kiara's here!" She cheered, weaving her way around other animals to get to her friend. "Hi Kiara! Hi Kila," She added, and Kila forced a smile before turning back to the water. Tiifu then looked at Jelani, and smiled again. "Hi Jelani. So what are you three up to?"

The way Kopa spoke about Kion reminded Nigel somewhat of how Sam spoke of him. It made the tiger smile for only half a second, before nodding. "Your brother? Well, then, we'll definitely get along!" He purred, ears pricked. He cast a glance over his shoulder, and tilted his head slightly. The voices of Sam and Lissie were getting... Louder? But Lucifer's had faded. Oh, good. Nigel turned back to Kopa at the cub's question, and blinked. Then he spoke, letting the words fall off his tongue without even thinking. "Oh. We met about... A month ago, or so. Kion was pretty cold at first. But he warmed up." It was a good lie, Nigel knew with a small smirk. He paused, and turned when Sam pushed his way through a bush, Lissie following suit.

"Hey, Sammy, Lis'! I got someone you'll love to meet. This," Nigel flicked his tail toward Kopa, and Sam and Lissie both turned, interested. "Is our great friend Kion's brother - Prince Kopa!"

"Kion's brother?" Sam echoed, noting the use of the words great friend almost instantly. Nigel was up to something, and he'd be ticked if Sam ruined it. Besides, the same thought was running through his head, too. Use Kopa to get to Kion. Then get Kopa, too. Two cubs in one! Nigel, you're so smart! Sam thought admirably, padding forward to stand beside his brother. "Heya there, Prince Kopa. I'm Sam."

All Lissie needed to hear was the name "Kion", and her ears perked up, immediately interested. "Kion's brother?" She exclaimed, padding forward delicately toward Kopa. She circled around him, pressing her nose to his shoulder and sniffing him before stepping away. "Yep, definitely Kion's scent! Sort of. Of course brothers smell alike. And you look like him, too! Oh, I haven't seen him in forever. I wonder if he thinks of me.." The leopard trailed off, suddenly lost in her own little world. "I wanna see him again."

"You're drooling, Lis." Nigel sighed, rolling his eyes. He had to force himself to look a little less jealous as his eyes fixed on Kopa again, giving another friendly little smile. "It's nice to meet Kion's brother. He kinda just up-and-disappeared one day. We were pretty worried. I assume he's doing well, now?"

"I...I kinda figured that." The tigon licked her jaws with her salmon tongue before giving a giggle with her friend. Ah, sometimes she could be ridiculously literal. Obviously, Kilana was joking around! She didn't think the lioness cub was that evil. Well, evil at all. When they had reached the waterhole, the tigon mimicked Kilana's actions, bending down her head to soak her tongue and bring her throat to a quenching matter. Lifting her head up, her nose twitched. Ahh, Tiifu! Zuri! Jelani wasn't extremely close to Kiara's best friends. They acted more like royal advisors than anything, really. Judging by the look on the princess's expression, Jelani registered that she didn't like the two cubs.

Zuri had been cleaning her pelt. She wasn't a light pretty color, more dark than anything. But, she stayed near Tiifu until the other cub started shouting. "Can it, will ya?" She narrowed her eyes. But, the name rolling off of Tiifu's maw, made Zuri jump with pride. She immediately started following after Tiifu, albeit her movements were more cautious - couldn't have her getting a dirty pelt, now can we? "Kiara!" She cheered. "I've missed you so much. We've been so boooored." Her eyes rolled, and she giggled happily at her royal friend. She didn't even bother to greet the other two. Well, why would she. Maybe, she could greet the other princess. "Kilana." She gave a curt nod, then flickered her ears to Kiara.

"Hi girls!" Kiara glowed. Kiara loved these girls. She looked passed their faults, giving them a wide smile. "Did y'all save a spot for me?" That's what she expected. A nice cool spot, but near water. And to think there were all girls here. Oh, girl time! This was excellent. Because girls loved to gossip!

~OWO~

"Cool," Kopa smiled. "I hope so. A friend of Kion's is a friend of mine." Since Kopa had been so busy with lessons and whatnot, he hardly had times to make a friend. So, he grasped onto Kion's friends. This Nigel...character looked trusting enough. "Oh! Kion will be so thrilled that we ran into each other!" His smile widened. But, soon frowned at Nigel's next words. Kion...cold? Odd. Kion was very friendly. Why would he be mean? Perhaps it was because they weren't from the pridelands. Of course! That had to be it! "Heh, I didn't think my brother could be so cold." His blue eyes sparked with friendliness.

Then, two more came out of nowhere. Appearing magically. Where exactly were these tigers coming from? Kopa didn't have time to react - more friends? Appears so. Nigel said Kion's name and they're immediately hooked onto recognition. When the leopard came near him, circling around him, sniffing him. Kopa leaned backward, hoping to get away from her. She was...weird. Finally she walked away from him, and Kopa felt his heart beating at a regular pace. That was an uncomfortable manner. "I - uh..." shaking his head, the brown tuft of fur dancing messily.

"Well, Kion never mentioned you, so..." that was the thing. Why had Kion never mentioned his friends? They seemed pretty cool! Weird - staring at Lissie - but cool! However, Kopa felt out of place. These three gave him a good vibe. They would make excellent friends, he figured. It should had occurred to him that Kion didn't mention them. He never heard the name of Nigel...and, who were the other ones?

Kopa kept a friendly smile on his face, losing his guard. To him, they wouldn't hurt him. They were friends with Kion - this was what he kept reminding himself about. They were Kion's friends, so they wouldn't harm him. And, based on the reaction from the leopard - she was in love with his brother. "Kion's doing great," Kopa nodded, blinking his names to recall that his brother...did have an attitude earlier, but maybe it was gone by now. "Do you wanna see him? I bet he would be really happy!" Kopa wasndoing a good deed. Bringing friends together. They would be with him, so no other would question why Tigers were even in the pridelands. He was the prince. He got to do whatever he want. Well - most of whatever he wanted.

Kila sighed when Zuri walked up, letting her gaze run over the water, and the people crowding it. Suddenly however, her eyes latched onto a black cub with piercing red eyes. And suddenly, Kila couldn't move. She couldn't even breathe. She just watched him. What was that feeling? So sudden and new. Who was he? Suddenly the lion's eyes flickered up to meet hers, and Kila just about had a complete panic attack, shifting back to stand beside Jelani again with wide amber eyes.

Tiifu giggled, completely ecstatic to see Kiara. She brushed against her best friend, ears pricked and eyes wide with happiness. "Of course we saved you a spot, girl! Over this way!" She took a step back and angled her head toward a small clear spot, perfect for the girls. "Got any new gossip?" She urged, glancing at Kila for a second. The other Princess seemed.. Frozen, so Tiifu returned her eyes to Kiara again, smiling.

Nigel listened intently as Kopa spoke, and grinned. "I'm sure he will be." More like terrified. He added silently. Nigel knew the cub was scared of him. Except, Kion turned the fear to rage, and lashed out most of the time. But, Kion also knew when he was outnumbered, and with Sam and Lissie at Nigel's side, the odds would be against Kion and Kopa. So, perhaps Kion would shut down. Go back to being that broken cub that Nigel remembered. Nigel was so lost in thought, he almost didn't hear what Kopa had said. He started to speak, but Sam beat him to it.

"Do we wanna see Kion?" Sam echoed, ears pricking. Was the cub really just going to lead them to Kion? Sam opened his mouth, then shut it again, before grinning. "Dude, we'd love to see Kion again. And get to know you, man. You seem like a cool guy." He chuckled, glancing toward Nigel.

Nigel tilted his head. "Are you sure it wouldn't be any trouble, though?" He acted concerned, blinking at Kopa innocently. "We wouldn't want to intrude if you two are busy."

"I'd love to see Kion again! I can't believe he never mentioned me, though." Lissie's lips pulled down into a small frown for a second, before she smiled again. She listened as Sam and Nigel spoke, and sat back, lowering her head to groom her paws as she waited for Kopa to speak. Seeing Kion again, would be amazing. She could flirt with him some more. Perhaps he'd like her now?

Since Zuri and Tiifu most definitely stole Kiara's attention away, Jelani didn't know what to do with herself. She blinked as the other three greeted each other affectionately. At least, Tiifu had greeted her. Zuri had always been more stuck up. This did little to phase Jelani, so she stayed near Kilana. Where else was she supposed to go? Jelani found her paws fascinating. Small and delicate. Very lanky, and she lacked sharp claws. She was deep in her own world to not notice Kilana and the boy next door.

"Yes!" Kiara giggled, smushed between her two friends, being in the middle as always. They started leading her away, their giggles making its way around the pridelands. Kiara had little time to notice Kilana because whenever she was with Tiifu and Zuri, they always managed to steal her attention anyway. Zuri eyes sparked at Tiifu's words. "Gossip sounds delish! My favorite prey!" She chirped. Kiara flicked her ears, trying to pay close attention to who she should answer to.
They talked - and, they knew how to blow her mind at times. It was annoying, but they were still her friends.

"I don't have any gossip," Kiara didn't have any because she didn't like to gossip. She imagined the two would feel her in greatly of whatever boy cub and whatever girl cub. Whatever it may be. Kiara would nod her head, but she wouldn't be interested. "But, I imagine the two of you have an entire mouthload of gossip." If she needed to know anything, they were the girls to go to.

~OWO~

Kopa shrugged, brushing most of their comments away. They wanted to see Kion, so Kopa got up and started leading the way, "Don't worry. You're with me." He winked, flicking his tail for them to follow him. They wanted to see Kion, then so be it. Kion loved seeing his friends, right? So what would make them different? "Just up this way. I'm sure he's not far." Kopa hoped he wasn't. He also hoped he wouldn't run into Simba. The large lion must have gone bonkers by now...Kopa only hoped he didn't.

Now, he was cursing the ladybug for distracting him! He was expecting to receive a terrible punishment later. Despite all this, Kopa walked through the pridelands as if he owned it. Most of the other species made way for him, but many also were confused as to why two tigers and a leopard had been following the prince? Kopa nodded at each animal, giving them acknowledgement because that was what a king did.

It was known that Kopa didn't like the responsibility of having to take on leadership, but he held the etiquette for most of it. He observed his father, and therefore acted like him. Suddenly, the prince stopped. "He should be around here somewhere." Kopa threw his head back to assure his company. He continued to paw through the lands, hoping to spot that brilliant coat of the youngest prince.

Kopa hoped that his new found friends were following him. He wouldn't want them to get lost in this place. The pridelands were big and beautiful. Lushful and vast. "Oh!" Kopa called, his smile widening. His brother was in the distant. At the lake. "Come on, I found him." His tail tip shook with anxiousness, and he ran over to his little brother quickly.

"Kion! Kion!" He called, a bright smile on his maw. Gazing down at his brother, his eyes sparkled with glimmering excitement. "You won't believe who I ran into!" He exclaimed.

Tiifu giggled slightly, eyes shining as she bounced around Kiara, leading her to the clear space. "Actually, I have something. I heard, Koja just broke up with his girlfriend Lexie." She stated, her amazing green eyes darting toward the black lion. "Which means, he's totally available!" She huffed with a smirk, glancing at her friends through sparkling eyes. "I also heard that there's a new face in the Pridelands. A tigress." She added, tilting her head.

Kila stayed beside Jelani, watching her sister, Zuri, and Tiifu go. Then she turned to the Tigon beside her, ears pricking slightly. "You know who he is?" She nodded into the crowd where the black lion still stood, watching her intently. Kila didn't hold his gaze for long, glancing away to look down at her paws. Only when she heard a familiar voice did she look up.

"'La-La Land!" A pale lion made her way over to Kila and Jelani, bright blue eyes sparkling excitedly. "There you are. I've been looking all over for you!" She exclaimed. Vexy then turned her eyes to Jelani, and beamed warmly. "Hi there, Jelani! How have you been?" She urged, sitting down and curling her tail up at her side. She was clearly bursting with excitement, as always.

~~~O3O~~~
Nigel smirked when Kopa turned away to lead them into the Pridelands, and he shot his younger brother a look of triumph. "This'll be fun." He spoke aloud, but the words had a completely different meaning than what Kopa would think. The tiger stood and padded after the Prince, and Lissie immediately followed at his side, ears pricked. Sam followed silently, keeping watch over his shoulder in case Lucifer showed up.
Lissie was excited. While she didn't really care about Kion, she did want to see him. He was handsome. And, she wanted him. She didn't love him- Her heart had no room for him. But she still wanted him to be all hers. Because she knew she couldn't really have him. And that thought infuriated her. She would push, she would flirt with him until he fell for her. It was the only thing she could think of to do. She followed along behind Kopa, giving the Prince a smile when Kopa turned to assure them. Good.
Sam was silent as well as he followed, not as excited as the other two. He could only hope this wouldn't end with blood being spilled. But knowing Kion, he would probably attack. Or would the cub know he was outnumbered? Sam didn't like Kion. Not because he thought he had to, not because Nigel didn't, not because he was a tiger and he was supposed to be evil. He didn't like Kion because he didn't. Which is why, really, he had no trouble torturing the cub. He wasn't a big fan of Kion. At all. And he couldn't help but wonder, knowing how much Kion hated him, and Nigel, and Lissie, how the cub would react now.
Kion looked up when he heard his brother's voice, and curiously pushed himself to his paws. The excitement in Kopa's expression let Kion know that nothing bad was happening, so the lion cub visibly relaxed. At least, at first. "I think I will." Kion chuckled. "Well, who did you--" At that moment, Kion's amber gaze flickered up to the two tigers and the leopard that were trailing behind his older brother. Kion's face fell instantly. He recognized Nigel at once, and his lips pulled back in a slight snarl, but it faltered when he registered that Sam and Lissie were there, too. The anger in his expression switched to horror in an instant, eyes flickering from Nigel, to Sam, and Lissie again. His hackles were raised, ears flat to his head, and his claws were sank so deep into the ground he probably wouldn't be able to move until he sheathed them again. His heartbeat picked up considerably, hammering against his chest so hard and fast he was sure all four of them could hear it. Nigel's face automatically broke into a grin, seeing the terrified, horrified look on the cub's face, while Sam's lips curled into a dry little smile. Lissie just smirked.
Upon reaching the nice cozy spot, Kiara sat down, staring at Tiifu with a curious expression. Ah, yes - of course, she had the tea. Want to know something? Go to her or Zuri. Kiara heard the name roll out her mouth, and her eyes immediately scanned the location. Ah, locking her eyes on the dark pelted Tom. Yes, he was undeniably handsome. Any lioness would throw themselves at him. Frankly, Kiara had no sort of attraction towards him. He was simply...another lion to her. "Can't wait to see who's the lucky lioness gonna be this time." She curled her tail over her paws, scoffing.
Zuri started to giggle. "That is - if, it's a lioness." Zuri stated, wiggling her eyebrows at her friends in a mischievous manner. She flicked her tail to two nearby cats - though leopardess more than anything. "I heard Tamu is going to make her move. Now that Lexie's out of the picture, apparently it's her turn." She giggled.
Fair enough, Tamu watched from the sidelines. She was high in a tree, lounging about with one paw tucked under her, the other draping down, along with her tail. The pretty pumapard didn't hear the talk of the other cubs. Nor, did she really have to care about it. Only when she was the gossiped. A feline like her needed to protect her reputation. Apparently news around the water hole was that Koja was...single. Tamu lifted her head, and swishing her ears from side to side. Sitting herself up, the beautiful hybrid jumped down in a swift motion.
"Ouch!" A familiar voice growled. The black spotted hybrid was displeased with his sister's inconsiderate antics. All he wanted was some peace and quiet, but nope! Here she was; toppling on his head. And, didn't even have the nerve to say sorry!
"Oh, Taki. Watch where you're going." Tamu stepped off her brother and sauntered into the direction of her target. Now that Lexie was gone, Tamu was here. She saw Kilana's frequent glances toward the other cub, and she winked her way. As if to say, I got him.
Jelani didn't mind being in the presence of the other princess. She felt that she could build a wonderful friendship with her. Besides Kiara had been busy with...her other friends. The tigon pinned her ears down for a moment before they shot right back up, and she turned her innocent gaze to stare at Kilana. Then, she glanced towards the other cub. The black one with the red eyes. She shivered, and quickly looked away. "Oh, no no. He's scary." Just by his appearance she assumed he was. When another voice popped by Jelani gave a soft smile. She recalled the lioness as Vexy. Whom, she truly only known. She was Kilana's best friend. "Oh, hi! I've never been better. Thank you for asking." Polite as always she was. "And, how are you?"
~OWO~
Kopa was expecting a look of happiness. Excitement. Anything. His brother just stood there shellshock. This was killing his game. He brought Kion's old friends to surprise him - and this is the expression Kion give?
Not even a smile?
At least a laugh.
Clear your throat?
Say one word?
"Kion?" Kopa awkwardly glanced around. Okay...this was very awkward. Peculiar. Weird. This was not what Kopa was expecting. "Uh, lil bro - you're killing the vibe here..." the pale cream lion didn't know what to say, or what to tell them as to why his brother had been acting this way. Nervously, he laughed once more.
"He's just," Pause. "Really, excited to see you." Yup. That was it. Kion was shocked. He was happy. Too lost for words to speak. "Let's just give him time to recuperate." Kopa suggested. It would be great if Kion gave a burst of energy at this moment. Any burst of energy. Excitement...please. "Any...day, now."
"Of course Tamu would go after him." Tiifu sighed dreamily. "They'd be perfect for eachother." She hummed, sitting down and curling her tail up around her paws. "I don't really have anything else." She sighed, tilting her head for a moment. Then she grinned over at Zuri. "Anything on your side?" She hummed, tucking her paws neatly in front of her, and her tail curled over them.
Kila sighed gently as she watched Koja. Then her eyes flickered toward a leopardess that was making her way toward the lion, and the stab in her chest was surprising. But she shook it off and turned away, though her ears folded halfway against her head and stayed like that. She listened as Vexy and Jelani spoke to eachother, but stayed completely silent, her whiskers twitching. She couldn't like Koja, anyway. He was just another lion. He didn't matter. Besides, she didn't even know him. She couldn't like someone she didn't know, right?
Vexy grinned cheerfully at Jelani, ears pricked happily. "Great to hear! Oh - I'm doing wonderful, thank you." She purred gently, glancing at Kila for a moment. Her ears flicked. "Something wrong, 'La?"
"Hm?" Kila blinked, snapped from her thoughts. "Oh, no. I'm fine." She assured. Vexy raised an eyebrow, unconvinced.
"Okay." The lioness cub smiled suddenly, her eyes sparkling brilliantly. "Vincent and Chaka were arguing again - I decided I needed some girl time! So, what are you two up to?"
For a few long moments, nobody spoke. Nigel's gaze locked with Kion's, and Sam silently slipped forward, circling around to stand beside the cub. Kion noticed, and his shoulders twitched momentarily, a tortured look flashing across his face as his gazed darted once behind him, then back to Nigel. His amber eyes narrowed, glancing at his brother for a second as Kopa spoke. Why would he be excited? At all? His gaze shifted back to the remaining two, and a hiss slid through his teeth as Nigel took a small step forward. "Why don't you striped rats go back where you belong?"
Ouch, that came out a little harsher than he intended. No matter. This was a tiger.
"Why don't you...." Sam took the chance while Kion's attention was focused on Nigel, sliding up beside the cub now. The older tiger's fur brushed against Kion's, and the cub visibly flinched, jerking away instinctively, but he didn't get too far, his unsheathed claws holding him to the ground. Sam's lips tugged into a slightest of smiles, leaning in close. "Show a little respect, Runt."
"Yeah." Nigel chided, and Kion's gaze shifted toward him immediately. "What would Lucifer think of this new attitude? Wouldn't wanna let him down." Lissie stayed silent, but nodded her agreement, smiling brilliantly.
Kion felt a shiver run down his spine as soon as Nigel said Lucifer's name, his ears flattening down against his skull. The anger faded all at once from his expression, leaving behind only horror and fear. His gaze flickered up to Sam, then Nigel again, before he squeezed his eyes shut. If his heart was pounding fast before, it was nothing compared to the way it beat now. He didn't like this. He didn't like being surrounded by tigers. Wait. No. He wasn't the only one. Kopa's here too. Kion's eyes snapped open, his amber gaze darting toward his brother again. They were both surrounded by tigers. Hevi kabisa.. Kion's tail flicked nervously, glancing at the tigers before his gaze turned back to his brother again. "So - Ah - Why did you bring these three here?"
Kiara shifted her paws, preferring to rather lay down for a moment. Tilting her head up to stare at her two friends, she flicked herbears, "I don't see what's so great about him. It's like all these lionesses be over him." She rolled her eyes. Except her, of course. Kiara didn't fawn over anyone. She didn't have a reason to. Her eyes drifted toward her sister and Jelani. Another had joined them, and Kiara didn't recognize them for a few moments until she heard the talkative lioness' voice. She gave them a friendly look, her eyes desperately calling them over.
"Kiara, you must be bat blind. That boy over there is super fine." Zuri gushed, her voice dripping with complete fascination like a school girl fawning over their crush. "Well, since you brought up Koja, I don't think my piece of gossip is going to be good enough," her ears flattened to her head and she giggled, sheepishly. "I think that's going to be the talk of the century. Well, at least until Tamu's done with him." Then, that might as well be the break up of the century.
Jelani gave a friendly smile toward the other cub. She sat there. Feeling out of place, and bowed her head when Vexy answered her question. Then, she allowed her gaze to slip for a moment as the other two conversed. She didn't know what she had been doing, or what they were going to do. She saw the pleading look in her other friend's eyes, but debated whether or not to go over there. So, she stayed planted where she was, avoiding any gaze around her. Her job would be to follow, not lead.
~OWO~
The words that came from Kion's maw certainly took Kopa by surprise. What happened? It didn't make any sense! He was for sure that Kion would had been happy to see these three. "Well, they told me they were old friends. Good friends of yours." He gulped, hisbears flattening for a moment. Okay. This was not good. It was not good to panic because Kopa didn't like the words that were being spilled from the opposing side.
Then, Sam circled the two. Kopa pressed closer closer to his brother, crouching onto his paws and narrowing his eyes. "I'm getting the feeling that...they aren't good friends..." it was obvious with how they greeted one another. Was Kopa that oblivious to the situation? Was he that gullible? Must had been because now they were in this tricky mess.
Who exactly was Lucifer? Kopa refrained himself from asking the question. The older cub knew when trouble was brewing up. And...this was definitely trouble. Kopa unsheathed his claws, ready to fight if the chance came. They lied to him. They deceived him. That was not cool! He was nice enough to let them into his home and to see their "good friend".
He didn't know what would happen, but asbtje eldest cub, Kopa had to protect his youngest brother. And, all he could do was pray to Mufasa that they both will get out of this mess.
"I totally agree with Zuri. Ooh la la~ That boy is meow." Tiifu flicked a paw in the air as if to emphasize her words, shooting a glance toward Koja with a smile before turning her eyes to her friends. At Zuri's words, Tiifu simply giggled, obviously amused. "Oh, when she breaks up with him, it's going to be legendary. And then he'll have girls all over him again." Then her eyebrows raised. "Or he could always break up with her. Then again, since when has a boy ever broken up with Tamu first?"
"Nothing. We're just talking." Kila replied, letting her eyes slip over toward Koja and Tamu again. She grimaced for a moment, then looked away once more, her gaze landing on Vexy. But she allowed her eyes to flicker over toward Kiara, Tiifu and Zuri, and raised an eyebrow at her sister, seeing the pleading look, and she glanced at Jelani and Vexy, wondering if they should go over. Vexy followed Kila's gaze, and waved at Kiara with a paw.
"Okay. Well, I'ma go see if the girls have any gossip. Ta ta~" Vexy smiled at Kila and Jelani before turning and making her way over toward Kiara, Tiifu and Zuri. Tiifu greeted her with a smile, but she didn't speak. "Hello girls."
Kion grimaced at his brother's words. "Friends..." He let the word trail sarcastically, glaring at Nigel. "Typical. You know, you tigers are all the same. Filthy, sick, lying rats. And you should all burn in Hell." Kion was aware he shouldn't be saying such things. He'd been taught to be polite and sweet to everyone, so his words would probably come off as a shock to Kopa. But Nigel hardly looked fazed; Obviously used to this kind of talk from the cub, and he retaliated with a vicious little sneer.
"And you lions are all the same. Weak little slave cubs." Nigel watched the fire flare up in Kion's eyes at the word slave, and the tiger's lips curled into a cruel little smile as the cub hissed at him. "You can act ferocious all you want, but we all know where you belong. Back in our Kingdom working for Lucifer." Kion cringed at the name which was exactly what Nigel had wanted, and the tiger let out a soft chuckle.
"Yeah." Sam's tail flicked at Kion's shoulder, an amused smirk on his face. "And thanks to your older brother here, you and him both can come with us. I think Boss'll be very happy for the new addition, eh? He might even let Kopa off a little easy since he led us straight to you." Sam's gaze turned to Kopa, and he smiled. "So, thanks, man! But you kinda landed both you and your brother in some serious trouble.."
"Stop!" Kion's ears flattened. His expression was furious, glaring up at the tiger. "Just stop. I can't stand the sound of y--" He cut off suddenly however because Sam's claws lashed down his shoulder, and the cub couldn't help the soft hiss of pain that escaped his lips. Anyone else would had screamed, but Kion was used to much worse. Still, it hurt, and it was enough to make him fall completely silent, though his tail still twitched irritably.
Kiara did not understand why her sister was being anti-social. Why had she sat out on the outskirts instead of following them to hear the latest gossip. Kiara gently swished her tail behind her, raising it for the wind to silently blow through it. She honestly thought her two friends were exaggerating that this Koja character was "all" that. He appeared to be a regular lion... Nothing less, nothing more. So, Kiara didn't understand why they were fawning over him.
Zuri nodded her head sullenly upon Tiifu's words. She scrunched up her face just at the thought of the two. "Well, you know," she paused, lifting her muzzle up in a snooty manner. "I'm going to jinx them. Hopefully they'll break up quicker than they got together!" She mused. That was excellent thinking. Allow karma to handle that forbidden relationship because honestly everyone knew Koja could do...a lot... A lot better than Tamu. However, unknown to her friends, Zuri didn't care much about the other females he were with. She'd consider herself lucky if he was with her at all. The seemingly sweet feline kept a smile on her face refraining herself from fawning over the other lion. Putting that topic to the side, the cub excitedly turned back to Kiara. "So, Kiara! How're those brothers of yours? I noticed they weren't he - "
Why was Zuri asking about her brothers? Kiara sat up, wrapping her tail around her when she saw her sister - nope. Vexy. Her sister's best friend. Odd...Kilana wasn't following her. Well, then! Vexy wouldn't know how much sjensaved Kiara's day just by showing up and interrupting their conversation. Which, to be honest, Kiara felt uncomfortable about since all her friends discussed was which cute boy was single. "Hi, Vexy!" She excitedly greeted. "What brings you over?" And, possessed my sister not to follow...enough of that! Kiara remained friendly with a bright smile upon seeing Vexy. Seeing her meant good news. Maybe she knew more gossip. Better gossip.
Now, Zuri liked Vexy...a little...a lot little more than the other princess. Kilana, just rubbed her in the wrong way, but Vexy seemed very kind to begin with. "Hello!" She smiled towards the lionesses. Completely caught off guard as to why she was in their space. Their little "bubble". Sure, Zuri held no grudge towards Vexy, but she just...wasn't them.
~OWO~
Alright. This was entirely out of character for Kion. Kopa was confused. Judging from the snide comments, this was no friendly reunion. Something evil. Something greater than evil was making itself known, and Kopa was finally grasping onto the ideal. With his claws unsheathed, the lion didn't know what to do. His ears pinned back, and he refused to utter another word because he didn't know these tigers.
Truth be told, Kopa thought he was doing a good deed. No good deed. He was tricked, and he felt numb. He felt too scared to lose. Though a king was never supposed to fear. Especially watching their brother take these fools on. Whoever this Lucifer was, Kopa was not going to be working for him. A king doesn't work for others. He provide and care for them, yes. But, he doesn't put himself through turmoil. So, Kopa stayed on the sidelines, his mind buzzing from scattered thoughts. Should he stay? He would be able to keep Kion safe. Should he run? He would be able to fetch help.
When Sam slashed at Kion, it brought Kopa out his silent state. "Hey! Don't hurt my brother!" He growled, clenching his teeth. That looked painful, but Kion didn't scream. On the other hand, all this was new. Too new for Kopa to only grasp this within a few days. It was pretty farfetched that all this was happening, but hopefully the great Kings would send some signal to their father to land them out of this soon. The young lion lunged toward Sam with extended claws. If they were to go out, at least go out with a fight.
Vexy chuckled, sitting down with a smile. "Just thought I'd see what you three were up to." She gave Kiara a curious look. "Me and you have never really gotten to know eachother too well, even though I'm pretty much your sister's lover." She snorted slightly as she spoke, rolling her eyes. It was true, really. Though Vexy didn't quite hold any attraction toward Kila... In fact, she didn't have an attraction to anyone, really. But her and Kila were definitely quite close, closer than most best friends. Though, you wanted to see close best friends? Go look at Chaka and Kion. Vexy snorted again, amused. "And Chaka's pretty much Kion's lover too. Huh... I ship it." She murmured, before raising her voice, tilting her head with a grin. "You look uncomfortable." She noted, raising an eyebrow at Kiara and smiling toward Tiifu and Zuri, before turning her attention right back to the Princess.
~~~O3O~~~

Now, Kion didn't get scared easily. It took alot - And I mean alot - To truly frighten the cub. But right now, standing here, he slowly let the whole situation finally, and agonizingly slowly, sink in. He was standing here with only his older brother, surrounded by two huge tigers and a leopard. Outnumbered, outwitted, and pretty much ants compared to the Sabers Soldiers. The golden cub allowed his ears to flick back, flattening them against his head roughly as he shot Nigel and Sam both death glares. But even if they were cornered it didn't lessen the anger, or the hatred Kion held for the three at all. Well, hatred for Sam and Nigel; A deep disliking for Lissie. He flinched at Kopa's sudden outburst, having been completely unexpected, and his eyes widened when his older brother lunged at Sam.

The tiger honestly didn't expect the attack. He figured that, if Kopa was anything like Kion, he'd just stand there quietly and cooperate. But, nope. Kopa was definitely nothing like Kion! Before he could react, Sam felt claws latch into his skin, and he cringed, letting out a pained hiss. "You little Rat!" He snarled, staggering, but managed to stay upright. He also managed to kick the cub away, before turning and crouching, ready to lunge. His claws were unsheathed, digging into the ground below him, and his lips pulled back over his teeth. "You're ridiculously outnumbered, s you'd better come quietly." He warned darkly, bristling.

Nigel had immediately started forward to defend his brother, but Sam seemed to be handling himself. Still, it didn't stop him from sliding to his brother's side and crouching down low, his dark eyes practically daring Kopa to lunge. He didn't expect Kion to come forward beside his brother and face him, and his lips curled back in a sneer at the golden cub, his attention switching from Kopa to Kion in an instant. "Well, the Runt finally found some courage, huh? You sure you wanna try me, cub?" He taunted, unsheathing his claws and digging them into the ground.

Kion growled right back, ignoring the fear tightening in his chest. "You're not the one I'm afraid of, Nigel, and quite frankly I've been waiting to fight you for weeks." He hissed, tensing before lunging. Nigel was more prepared than Sam was and he launched forward at the same time, ready to meet the golden cub head-on.

Lissie sighed as she watched, her eyes flickering to Nigel and Kion for a moment, before resting on Sam and Kopa with interest, wondering who was gonna make the first move. Hopefully they'd be smart enough to come without a struggle, or Lissie would have to run back to get more tigers - Or even better, to get Lucifer himself. But the leopard wanted nothing more than to watch; So that's what she decided to do, sitting down and curling her tail around her paws as her eyes flickered from Sam to Kopa and repeat.

That's true. Vexy was Kila's best friend. That's all who Kiara saw Kila hanging around it. She didn't know Vexy much, but she did know of the other lioness. And, her brother as well. Ah, Vexy would never know how much she saved this damsel in distress from being gossiped to death. Girls did it all the time. Talked, talked, and talked. Always about another. Always about themselves. Being a princess, Kiara was expected more than to follow the traditions of "girls being girls". " Oh! We're not doing anything. Simply talking. Though, I have to give you credit that you - at least - would come and talk." Kiara wished her own sister would do that. It wasn't good to be anti social, anyway. Upon Vexy's next words, Kiara giggled. "Well, then, since you put it like that, please get your lover to come and socialize." The princess rolled her eyes, sending a quick scrowl towards Kila. Possibly, Kiara thought it was because of who her friends were. Albeit, Tiifu and Zuri were sweet girls. They were fun...when you got to know them. Kiara glanced from one friend to the other, and her ears flattened for a quick moment. She couldn't speak for them, but she hoped they knew better than to be rude. "Maybe we just need exercise. My paws are pretty stiff. Walk...maybe?" It would be good to feel nice air as you walked. They all would go! And, no one would be left alone. That sounded like a good plan. An excellent one.

~OWO~

Kopa didn't truly care about being promised to the throne. He wished he could live a carefree life like his siblings. The princesses were dotted with affection and given absolutely anything they wanted. Kion was apart of the Lion Guard. He protected the pridelands - wasn't fighting fun? And, Kopa? He was to be...King. It may sounded fun to do such a job, but seriously it made Kopa stressed than he already was. Being a king may as well be stressful in the first place.

The male had managed to get a hit in. For the tiger to leave his brother alone, but he was thrown off. Kopa staggered back, feeling a shot of pain surging through him. He was supposed to be protecting his little brother from this nonsense, but right now...Kopa had his paws full. As quick as he fallen, he lifted himself up, snarling. "I'm not going down without a fight." A King never does. Where was their dad when they needed him?

Kopa couldn't allow himself to emit fear scents. They would pick up on it and use it to their advantage. With his brother beside him, both tigers facing each of them. Exactly...what had Kion been hiding from them all this time? This was absolutely ridiculous! "When my Father gets ahold of you...you'll all be dead!" He swiped at the air, his claws unsheathed. When they were all dead; buried. Who would be laughing then? Certainly himself!

For now, he prepared himself for an attack. Instead, his ears perked when he heard the other tiger launch himself at Kion. Being rather reckless, as any big brother, his fur bristled, and he swiftly turned to intercept the hit. It was a surprising move, but Kopa didn't want his brother to get hurt. That was the last thing he needed right now.

Vexy laughed at the other lionesses words; The sound was soft, sweet, understanding. "Well, talking's always fun. At least when you talk about the right things. Am I right?" She smiled brightly, ears perked, head tilting, blue eyes sparkling with amusement. Please get your lover to come socialize. The uttered words made Vexy pause for a second, before she just started giggling. She didn't know what was so funny. Perhaps it was the glare Kiara had sent Kila's way after she spoke, or maybe it was the thought of Kila socializing that was hilarious. Either way, it was funny. "Oh, Kila's a bit busy checking out that boy over there." Vexy's eyes narrowed at her gaze slipped toward Koja, then back to her best friend. She wasn't stupid - She knew Kilana Pride better than Kila knew herself sometimes. To think her best friend could hide something from her was completely ridiculous. And Vexy planned on getting details later. Lots of details. She already had a list of questions piled up for her best friend. Fun, right? Vexy shook her head and snapped out of these thoughts just in time to hear Kiara's words, and she grinned. "A walk actually sounds nice, exercise would do everyone some good."

Tiifu wasn't a huge fan of walks, but she'd follow Kiara anywhere. Her gaze shifted to Zuri for a secnd, wondering if her other friend would do the same, then chuckled at the silly thought. Of course she would - They were all a group, weren't they? Yes. Definitely. Well, at least her, Zuri and Kiara were. Tiifu wouldn't exactly consider Vexy part of her group. She liked the desert lioness and all, but still - Vexy was Kila's friend and Kila was definitely not a part of their group. Kila was a loner. Tiifu tilted her head and stood up, stretching, tail flicking over her back. "I'm up for a walk! What about you, Zuri?" She turned bright eyes on her friend, smiling happily.

Nigel hadn't been expecting the cub to intercept him like that and it threw him off - Literally. He recoiled instinctively, the sudden movement causing him to skid sharply across the ground and crash to his side. A low growl escaped his lips, quickly leaping up and turning his dark gaze onto the cub responsible. "What a rat," He hissed. "Protecting little brother, are you?" He sank into a crouch and lunged at the cub, aiming to try to pin him down.

Sam didn't know what to think at this point. His paws itched to help his brother, but he didn't move. Nigel's got this, he's awesome! He reminded himself, turning narrowed eyes toward Kion for a moment. The golden cub was occupied as well, surprisingly.

Lissie had came forward and was circling around Kion, who simply looked uncomfortable in her presence. The golden cub crouched as if to lunge at her, but Lissie simply smiled. "Oh, you wouldn't attack a girl, would you, Kion?" She purred innocently, stepping forward to brush against him, but Kion sidestepped her with ease.

Kion stared at her for a long moment, then smiled wryly. "Only you, prissy," He winked, while Lissie just stood there, momentarily stunned. Kion just laughed at her. "Whoops - Sorry. I meant Lissie. But you know. Same thing," He sneered, his amber eyes darting toward Nigel and Kopa for a second before focusing on the leopard in front of him.

"Well, you're not wrong about that," Kiara rolled her eyes, then giggled herself. Talking, gossiping was all there was to do within the pridelands. Since the place was pretty much safe, no harm was truly caused which made the princess restless. Kopa was to be future king, and Kion was to be leader of the Lion guard - and, where did that leave her and Kila? To be aesthetic princesses of the pridelands? To be put on a high pedestal for all to admire? Now...that actually sounded perfect. A little attention wasn't bad. Kila probably didn't mind being alone, and perhaps at one point, Kiara felt the same way. Though she went through life knowing that without having friends, then it was no fun hanging around, which was why she was thankful for Tiifu and Zuri. They were her friends through thick and thin; Kiara felt that she never have to question their loyalty. Kiara gave an exasperated look, one look to the other princess and the other look towards that weird cub...Koja. "She's like him!?" Kiara shrieked. What was so great about him? And, the fact that Kila seem to have a crush on anybody was beyond hysterical. "Haha, my sister seems to have a little crush. Oh Lala~" Kiara snickered. This way she could tease her younger sister about it. Oh, yes, that sounded like fun. At least a little bit to get Kila to open up. As Kiara mentioned a walk would do them all good, she stretched her paws, nodding along. A walk would be excellent with the girls, no doubt. So, throwing her sister a narrowed gaze, she called, "Kilana! Jelani! Let's go! We're going for a walk." Her sister better not protest against this lovely idea. The girls could giggle and talk like a little "inner" circle.

Zuri didn't mind a walk either. As long as it is with Kiara and Tiifu - her true best friends. Zuri wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but she did hold high expectations for those who could be in her presence and become her friend. Obviously, the princess was on that list. Zuri was more loyal to the princess, she acted like she was the one who needed to protect Kiara with her life. It was quite obvious that she took this position seriously. "I'm up for anything." She shrugged. The place around here was getting too cramped anyway, so stretching her legs would probably do her some much needed tranquility. "Lead the way, Kiara." When Kiara called Kila and Jelani to tagged along, Zuri had to hide the distaste she felt towards this. It's it like she held a grudge against Kila or Jelani. Anyone could tell that she didn't like Jelani, at all. As for Kila? The Other princess just rubbed her the wrong way. She was so odd. And, quiet. Like a mystery. Aside from that, Zuri was downright confused about her character.

~OWO~

That was a good shot.

Kopa didn't mean to hurt the tiger. He reacted because he wanted to protect his little brother, but now he was in for it. Kopa was still learning, he was still growing. Whereas this tiger could end his life by a heavy set paw stomping down on him. At least, if this was to be his end, he would die for something. Kopa kept a determined look on his face, snarling at the unwanted company. "My father says to never let anyone hurt the ones you love." On instinct, he crouched as well, his eyes sloitted, and his expression etching into something grim. "At least over my dead body." When he seen Nigel attack him, Kopa could do nothing but watch as the leopard advance on Kion. As Kopa was having trouble gaining the upper hand in this fray, he was quite annoyed. And, exhausted. Where was the Lion Guard when you needed them, anyway?

"Gah!" The prince yelled. Pinned down, trying to squirm around. Get out of here, and get Simba. Yes...Simba. Where was dad when you needed him? Probably busy patrolling the borders. If by luck, it would had been grand if their father made his appearance. But, nope. Kopa was on the ground. His heart sped up - his life flashed before his eyes. Was this the end? The end of a life that barely begun to live? Sure, he was the eldest, and he was older than most of the cubs within the pridelands. He needed to be strong. Be the brute strength that Mufasa had been. If his eyes had been closed any longer, he would had seen the firm appearance of his grandfather, staring down at him with a solemn gaze. Though Kopa opened his eyes, and he aimed to spit in his opponents face, snarling. His ears flicked to the leopard. "Leave him alone!" He mustered the last of his strength to yell; to shake violently on the ground, but none of this worked. So, he felt fatigued, and finally laid to exhaustion.

Vexy smirked to herself, head tilting slightly as Kiara spoke. "I'm never wrong." She replied cheerfully, her tail whisking over the ground. She lowered her head and rasped her tongue over her paws, then lifted one to rub her muzzle. She didn't care much for grooming, like Kila, but unlike Kila, Vexy also wasn't too keen on getting all down and dirty, either. The Prideland Princess couldn't care less about getting dirt and mud on her fur, but the Desert Princess minded just a little. Mostly because it just felt wrong, having her fur tangled and dirty. But she wasn't like other lionesses, sitting around and grooming themselves to perfection. Vexy didn't care about her appearance. Looking nice was okay, but she wasn't afraid to get her paws a little dirty if the situation called for it. The lioness's bright blue eyes lifted to look up at Kiara as she shrieked, not seeming too startled, and smirked, her head rolling around to give her best friend a pointed look. Kila's sharp gaze met hers, and Vexy gave an innocent little smile, before turning back to Kiara. "Oh, yeah. Weird, huh? Kila usually holds no interest for anyone," She giggled. "But this boy has her attention. Which also means, I'm gonna have to threaten him alot. 'Cause if my bestie gets her heart broken again, well," Vexy looked down and unsheathed her claws for a second, studying them, before sheathing them again. She felt like she'd gotten her point across pretty well, so she let that subject drop. She shook out her fur when Kiara called Kila and Jelani over, and stretched up on the tips of her paws with a yawn.

Fine. Fine. Vexy wanted to go and spill her business to everyone, that was fine. Kila glowered at her best friend, but she knew she couldn't stay mad for very long. She glanced at Jelani. "Looks like we're going on a walk." She said dryly, standing up and heading over toward the group. As soon as she reached them, she stopped beside Vexy, and bumped her shoulder against her best friend's firmly yet gently, sticking her tongue out rather childishly. Vexy just giggled and returned the gesture.

Tiifu tilted her head in silent fascination as she watched the usually cold Princess play with her best friend in a rather... Childish manner. Kila confused her. The golden cub was usually so guarded and cold, but right now she didn't seem like that. Right now, it seemed Kila's walls were down, if only slightly. It made Tiifu curious, but not curious enough. She turned to Kiara. "Yeah, lead the way, Ki-Ki!" She exclaimed cheerfully. Kila rolled her eyes at them and looked over at Vexy, who gave her a be nice look. Kila looked ready to protest, but another look from Vexy shut her up.

"Your father is ridiculous, then," Nigel sneered at the cub, lips curling as he smirked. He was enjoying this maybe a little more than he should be. He let out a triumphant laugh as he managed to pin Kopa, the young Prince's struggles not bothering him. The tiger was rather huge, and definitely muscular. Working in the desert kept him strong. After all he had to be strong to be able to bring slaves back, huh? The tiger tilted his head when the cub gave up struggling, but didn't release his grip. "Giving up so soon?" He said snarkily, then looked over at Sam, smirking. "Boss is going to love this." He smirked, then looked over at Kion, who had turned to lunge at Nigel. Sam stepped forward, and the cub paused.

"You gonna come quietly?" Lissie purred in Kion's ear, causing the cub to jerk back. "If not," the leopard continued. "I could go back to camp and bring Lucifer here, you know? I bet he could persuade you, couldn't he?" She giggled, poking his shoulder with a paw.

"Oh, Lucifer could persuade Kion to do anything," Sam smirked. "He's a good little slave. Aren't you, Runt? Maybe Lissie should go get your Master to make you listen, hm?" The tiger taunted, grinning in amusement when Kion flinched a little. Sam simply chuckled, as did Nigel. "Give it up kid. You're done for."

Kion stiffened, his eyes flickering toward the desert, and his shoulders tensed slightly. He then looked at Kopa. He hadn't meant for any of this to happen. He'd thought it had been over. But he should have expected this. And now his brother was in danger because of him. The golden cub flattened his ears, not saying anything for a long moment. He could Roar, but Kopa would probably get caught in it, too. His options were limited here. The golden cub lashed his tail, his amber eyes darting around warily. He wasn't going back to that desert. That camp. He wasn't going back to Lucifer. And he most certainly wasn't going to let his brother go there, wasn't going to let Kopa break like he did. But the cub's despair was rising. They were outnumbered and Kopa was pinned and Kion certainly couldn't take on Sam and Lissie by himself. Roaring wasn't an option, and he wasn't going to run and leave his brother behind, obviously. We don't have a prayer here. Kion realized, claws sinking into the ground.

Upon hearing Kiara's voice, Jelani knew instantly that she couldn't get out of this one. Jelani thought it would be fine if she stayed behind, maybe went to see her father and helped him out with whatever he needed? She didn't want to be in the presence of her half sister...or that overbearing friend of hers. Jelani watched as Kila, apparently not happy at all about this. Jelani padded after her, keeping her head locked on her tiny paws. She decided to stay at the end of the group. Kiara was with her friends. Her true friends. The friends she could easily relate to; Tiifu and Zuri. Though if the princess insisted that they go on a walk, who was the tigress mix to deny the royal's request?

"That's more like it!" Kiara stated proudly. Despite Kila's childish...manners, she still tagged along with Jelani. "The more the merrier." With their little group intact Kiara began to lead the way. They wouldn't go pass the border, she didn't feel like hearing Simba scold his daughters for not trailing the path he "marked" for them. A walk would do them all some justice. Kiara led the way. She was practically a natural born leader. All best friends together, it brought a smile on her face. As they passed this "Koja" character, she threw him a sideways glance. Kila liked him...woah - wait, "Who broke Kila's heart before?" Kiara asked, briskly turning her head to Vexy. To think she knew a lot about her sister, but the other princess' best friend knew more about her! Kiara was certainly confused. Her sister never discussed her love life. Well, actually...any part of her life. Kiara was either never around her sister (being the worst sibling on earth) or Kila kept her life confidential.

Zuri didn't mind the extra company. As long as she got to keep her spot next to her best friends, then everything was good. She kept a bright smile on her face, trotting beside Kiara, and throwing a look towards Princess Kilana as Kiara
Voiced her question, more directly at Vexy. To Zuri, Kiara shouldn't make such a big deal out of it. Best friends knew better than siblings did. Zuri wouldn't know about such since she was an only cub. She told Kiara and Tiifu everything like they were her sisters. Perhaps, that must had been the same for Kila and Vexy. It didn't matter, as stated before, all Kiara needed was friends like her and Tiifu. They would never withhold secrets from her.

Someone has daddy issues, Kopa thought with a roll of his eyes as he struggled underneath his captor. He didn't see what was the point in kidnapping them - had they received a joy in taking royal Cubs - or any Cubs from their families? The future growled, and he tried to get up, but he used up all his energy. He just hoped Kion would forgive him because he failed to protect his little brother.

Maybe...

He was weak. Maybe, he wasn't fit to protect a kingdom if he couldn't protect family. Yet, he was still young. He had a lot of growing to do, and always in the end, evil never prospered. So, Kopa gave up. Not out of weakest, but he relied on strength. He relied on the possibility that there would be a far greater fight in the near future and he needed to be prepared for such. Kopa stopped struggling, allowing his eyes to roll back to get a good look at Kion. Oh, they better not be hurting his brother! He wanted to growl, but he could not. All he could do was wait for whatever was to come.

Don't worry, Kion! Someone will come to save us...hopefully dad will. Just don't lose faith. Kion stood like he knew what was going to happen. He reacted like an obedient cub that avoided punishment. That's what confused Kopa, but instead of thinking much on how submissive Kion was being, Kopa followed his younger brother's lead. If he wanted to do this the right way, he would do it the smart way. Trick them out their own game. So, he played the submissive part. He bowed down, and he flicked his ears to listen. He was all fight out, and ready to bid to whatever command.

Kila sighed and padded off after her sister, ears flat and eyes narrowed ahead, obviously not enjoying this. Had it just been her, Kiara, Vexy and Jelani, she'd have been okay with it. But did Tiifu and Zuri have to come along? Really? Kila personally didn't like the two. They were brats, spoiled, snobby, stuck-up brats and she didn't know why Kiara wanted to waste her time on them. The golden cub paused and turned her head to look over at Koja when they passed him, feeling this strange pressure in her chest when his sea-green eyes met her amber ones. And she quickly diverted her gaze, just in time to hear Kiara's question, and her eyes darted to Vexy. She didn't. She wouldn't.

Vexy trotted slightly-in front, slightly-beside Kila, ears perked up. She met Koja's gaze as well when they passed him, and pricked an ear, throwing a friendly smile his way. But she bared her teeth in the process, a warning and a greeting all in one. She turned an amused gaze to her best friend, then to Kiara when the Princess spoke. She ignored the warning glare Kila sent her way, ears pricking up even more, if possible. "Oh!" The lioness surged forward, leaving Kila's side to walk beside Kiara, much to the younger Princess's annoyance. Vexy lashed her tail slightly, turning surprised bright blue eyes onto Kiara. "Kila didn't tell you about it, huh?" She was stunned. Kila usually kept secrets but she would have thought that her best friend would've told her sister, at least? Weren't the two close?

~~~O3O~~~
"So what'll it be, cub?" Nigel spoke up after a while, since nobody else had said a single word for the longest time. The tiger was honestly growing frustrated with the reluctance Kion held. Lucifer would have to re-program the kid, wouldn't he? Because right now he was defying orders. Right now, he seemed pampered. And Nigel didn't like that, not at all. When Kion didn't move, Nigel sighed. "Alright, I get it," He kept his voice calm, way too calm. "Look, if you don't wanna cooperate, Runt, we could always get Lucifer down here. Should we do that, then?"
Kion paused, looking up at him, then looking back at Kopa. He had a million thoughts racing through his head, and just looked... Completely tortured. The mask he usually put on around his family, it was gone. And the look in his eyes was one of a cub that knew too much, that had seen too much, been through too much. That knew more than he was supposed to about this world, and it was too late to turn back. The innocence was gone. The innocence, the faked innocence, it was gone.
"We're waiting." Lissie sang, poking her nose sharply against Kion's shoulder and feeling a rush of that familiar satisfaction when the cub flinched. "And we don't like waiting, Red~"
"Lissie's right. The clock is a-tickin'." Sam clicked his tongue. After a moment, he sighed. "Alright, Lis, go."
"Stop." Kion slammed a paw down on the leopard's tail when Lissie started off toward the desert, his amber eyes filled with a sudden fear. His gaze flickered from Kopa to Lissie, then back to Kopa, then up to Lissie again, then Nigel. "Alright, I get it. You hate me. All three of you do." He said desperately. "More than that, you'd probably like to rip my head off about now, and I don't blame you - The feelings are mutual. But your crap, Master's crap, that's with me. Don't," His voice took on an almost pleading edge, his gaze flickering down to Kopa for a moment before he looked back at Nigel. "Don't drag him into this, too. He doesn't deserve this." He lashed his tail, narrowing his eyes at Nigel. The tiger tipped his head, and looked over at Sam, who was just smirking, amused. Then both of them just shook their heads, and Kion felt his heart drop, blood running cold, like a plunge into icy water. I tried. Kopa, I tried.
One would think that two sisters would gossip about anything and everything, but it didn't work that way in every relationship. Kiara kept her gaze ahead as she found the sequence of her paws intriguing to look at. The princess felt like she was being put out onto the spot. Like, she done everything wrong because her sister didn't talk to her on a daily. Kiara glanced at Vexy before turning her way back on the path before. ''No, she didn't. I didn't think she was interested in anybody, to be honest.'' She shrugged, lightly. No use of pouting now. The older sister wouldn't force the younger one to talk to her if she didn't want to. ''Though, you don't have to tell me. It's not my business to know.'' She flicked her tail, proudly. No princess was going to be brought down in public. Not one bit.
Jelani lingered behind, her eyes watching the tail tufts of the lionesses in front of her. She didn't know why she was here in the first place. She rather be...elsewhere. Anywhere but here. Her wide eyes began to look up, facing the sky as she made out the figures of squawking birds. So free, so...beautiful.
Zuri felt her ears pin down to her head for a moment...was Kiara sad? For whatever reason? It's not like Kila's love life mattered much anyway. And, who needed her secrets, when she had her and Tiifu? Two loyal friends to the end. Zuri wanted to comfort her friend, but instead she continued to walk alongside of, her tail flicking side and side.
~OWO~
Kopa stayed quiet, his tail lashing out of impatience. If they were all talk and no claws, he would had been got him and Kion out this mess! It was like these tigers and that leopard was toying with them. Messing with them. Kopa was never exposed to things such as this, and he didn't enjoy this one bit. It was something off with these others.
He couldn't do much, but watch from the gleam in his eyes. All he could do was wait until the next step. Evil never prospered...evil never prospered...evil never prospered. They wouldn't be here long, Kopa believed this. In the end, their parents would find them missing and send out search parties. Wherever they were going, their father was going to make sure they would never have to worry about that place any longer. Yup...that, sounded like a plan.
It was a good plan! ''Kion...'' Kopa rasped. Kion needed to stop talking. Just go with the flow. Don't fight. Don't play the hero, the idiot. Play along. Act. Pretend. Kopa flinched for a moment, but he refused to be scared. He was prince Kopa. Future king of the Pridelands. He was not a cowardly lion. Just play along...Kopa wished he could express this to his younger brother, but the most important thing they were to do was to work together. So, Kopa turned to their enemies. ''Are you maniacs gonna take us or what?'' He snarled. He was tired of waiting around. The quicker they're in, the quicker they're out. It was that simple. Because...evil never prospered.
"Oh." Vexy went quiet for a moment when Kiara admitted that Kila hadn't told her anything, and shot her best friend a questioning look before turning to the older Princess again. "Well, it's not really much of a story. It's not really my thing to tell, though," She added hesitantly, then sighed. "I'm sure Kila'll tell you when she's ready, though." She said helpfully, looking at Kiara through wide, compassionate blue eyes. Though, she wasn't very sure. Perhaps Kila would, perhaps she wouldn't. Vexy didn't know. Her best friend was rather unpredictable.
Kila dropped back to pad alongside Jelani, seething at her best friend and feeling slightly guilty for not telling her sister what had happened. But like Vexy had said, it wasn't much of a story. Why should she tell Kiara something that her sister probably wouldn't be interested in, anyway? The golden cub flicked her tail and glanced around for a moment. She shouldn't have gone on this walk. It was bringing back memories that she'd rather not dive back into, but it was too late now.
Tiifu sighed as she padded along beside Zuri, frowning at Kiara. The other Princess seemed sad, but Vexy was consoling her, so that was okay. After a few moments, the light colored lioness turned her gaze to Zuri, frowning slightly. "Why does she need Kila's gossip?" She said in a hushed tone, so that Kiara wouldn't hear her. "She's got us."
"Sorry, Runt, but that's not happenin'! We can't have any witnesses now, can we?" Nigel smirked, looking down at Kopa for a moment. His expression shifted a little bit when the cub snarled, and he growled right back, unsheathing his claws slightly and allowing them to press down slightly into the cub's flesh. He didn't like the Prince - Kopa was too... Unbroken. Feisty. Smart-mouthed. Like how Kion used to be, like how Kion was kinda acting now. And Nigel hated that. Really, truly hated it. "Yeah, yeah, we're going." He released the cub and took a step back, but stayed looming over him. "Get up. And don't try anything." He glanced at Kion, and it was clear the warning was for both cubs.
Kion narrowed his eyes at the tigers, tail twitching slightly, but he didn't say anything else. His gaze flickered to Kopa, and he flinched a little when his older brother snarled at the tiger. "Kopa... Don't." He warned quietly, ears flicking back slightly. The situation was already bad enough and the last thing Kion needed was for Kopa to say something wrong and wind up getting himself hurt. He took a deep breath when Nigel let Kopa up, and the cub slowly made his way forward to his older brother and the tiger, Sam and Lissie trailing along. It reminded Kion that they were outnumbered. Don't try anything. He silently willed his brother to take Nigel's advice. Don't try anything.
"Let's go, then!" Sam said rather cheerfully, and Lissie giggled. The leopard brought up the rear, making sure neither Kion nor Kopa could drop back and take off. And Sam took position beside the cubs, waiting for Nigel to take the lead and steer them toward the desert. Things were going really well for the Sabers today - Lucifer was going to be pleased.
Kiara let out a sparkling laugh. That type of laugh that belonged to a natural-born princess. The other girls around her seemed to feel for her...which she didn't understand why. Kiara shook her head out of amusement, but she continued to move her paws along the lush grounds of her home. ''Come on guys, Vexy it's alright.'' Kiara glanced the desert lioness cub. ''It's not that important. I'm okay not knowing.'' She laughed once more. It wasn't going to kill her at not knowing much of what went on in her younger sister's life. ''It's not going to kill me.'' She added, humorously. Had she came off as pathetic to the others? Princess Kiara? Surely not! Princesses never looked pathetic. So, instead of pouting, the young lioness cub kept her head high, and her body gracefully walking like her grandmother Sarabi, whom she always regarded as regal.
Jelani glanced from Vexy to Kila when the youngest princess padded alongside her. The tiger mix perked her ears. Should she ask if Kila was okay? She held an expression of guilt, and Jelani figured this was because of Kiara. ''Are you okay?'' She whispered, lowly for the others didn't hear their conversation. Jelani wasn't the strongest, but she was clever. Jelani didn't see the two sisters as being close anyway. Kila had her own group, and Kiara had her own friends. So, why did it matter if Kiara didn't know such ''secrets'' that her sister never told her? Jelani let off a shrug. She had a younger sister - ahem, half sister - and, they weren't that close. Actually, Jelani and Nia were like two chemical reactions. If you mixed them together...the results wouldn't be pretty...at all.
Zuri gradually began to pad alongside Tiifu, straining her ears to listen to Tiifu's hushed whisper. Zuri glanced at Kiara, then glanced back at Kila before turning her attention back on her other friend and shrugging. ''Exactly,'' She whispered back. ''Kiara doesn't need her sister. She got us; we can be her sisters!'' Her blue eyes sparkled. ''We'd tell her everything she wants to know without any secrets.'' That was not how things worked, no matter how much she wished it did. She was simply Kiara's friend. ''But, maybe it's just a sister thing we wouldn't understand.'' The sugar brown colored lioness shrugged.
If they thought Kopa was going to give in easily, they had it all wrong. He was a tough cub, he wasn't going to allow them victory, but sometimes you had to play the fool in order to trick the ones who wanted to run you over. When Kion appeared next to him, Kopa stayed close to his younger brother. He didn't know how this worked, but he was serious.
Over his dead body, they would hurt Kion. Kopa couldn't help Kion before...but now he can. He will help him as much as he could because they were family. They were one. Family stuck together...was that him breathing heavily? Was he hyperventilating? Kopa found his breathing heavy and ragged. He didn't like enclosed spaces. he was claustrophobic. This was torture to him.
As they began moving, Kopa glanced back at the leopard. To him, they could easily surpass her. She looked weak in his eyes, and he lowly growled, but refused to take matters in his own paws. If he wanted to live, he would do it the right way. Not the stupid way. As long as Kion was next to him...breathing...alive...Kopa would find a way to get them out of here. In the distance, he didn't like the place they were going. Being lead through the desert. He pinned his ears down. Dear, Mufasa, please help us.
Vexy tipped her head when Kiara laughed, and the concern in the desert Princess's eyes faded into amusement, her bright blue eyes sparkling slightly. Well, at least the Princess didn't seem upset! That was good. Vexy didn't like it when others were upset, not at all. And she certainly didn't like being the reason for someone being upset. Perhaps she should had kept her mouth shut, then this whole thing wouldn't have been brought up in the first place. She glanced back at Kila, then looked up at Kiara. "Well, that's good." She purred, letting her tail touch Kiara's shoulder lightly before she whisked it away again, chuckling. "Don't let it bother you too much. You know Kilana - Guarded beyond belief."
Kila jumped a little when she heard Jelani speak up, not expecting the tigon to ask that question. She'd sort of zoned out, her thoughts going back to that horrible day at that... "zoo", Kiyu had called it. The cub shook her head and looked over at Jelani, blinking, and replied quickly. "Oh, yes, I'm okay. Thanks, 'Lani," She said briskly. Kila had never been one to talk about her feelings, or anything bothering her. Jelani was an okay girl in her eyes, but still. Kila had her walls, and she didn't let them crumble so easily. Emotions just weren't something she was good at.
Tiifu nodded her agreement as she padded alongside Zuri, staring ahead with a frown on her face. "Yeah, exactly." She mumbled back, tail twitching almost irritably. "We'll be better sisters - We don't keep things from her." She sighed, giving Kila a disapproving look before looking over at Kiara again, concerned, then turned back to Zuri, blinking softly. "Yeah, maybe," She echoed. "Still, Kiara doesn't need someone like Kila." She wasn't fond of the young Princess, not at all.
Nigel grinned as he began leading the way. It didn't take long for them to cross into the desert, and he took the silence as he walked to think about things. Kion seemed different but that was to be expected. The golden cub was pampered and had probably forgotten most of his training, but Nigel was sure that could be fixed. As for Kopa... Well hopefully, they could fix him, too. Or, break him. Ha. It shouldn't be too hard right? Lucifer could break anyone. Kopa should be easy. Easier than Kion, maybe. Maybe not. Either way he was sure the saber-tooth could do it. He walked in silence, glancing back at the cubs, then dropped back to walk beside them on the opposite side of Sam, padding along beside Kion. "So Runt," He said casually. "Lookin' forward to seeing your Master again? He'll be pretty pleased to see you."
"Uh-huh." Kion's tail twitched irritably, and he narrowed his eyes ahead. Thinking of Lucifer sent rather violent shudders through him, the fur along his spine pricking up slightly. Yeah, Lucifer would be just thrilled. Thrilled to put more fear into the cub, make sure he wouldn't dream of escaping again. Kion's claws sunk into the ground unconsciously as he walked. He didn't want that. He didn't want to be broken again. Then, he realized... He had always been broken. At least, after the whole Sabers thing. He'd been broken since, and he'd stayed broken, that hadn't changed. But it had been shoved back, and he'd tried, so hard to forget it. But now all those bad memories, those broken feelings were being dragged back to the surface. His mask was slipping, walls crumbing and he tried desperately to keep them in place, but he couldn't. He didn't want to go back. He didn't want to be broken. And he most certainly didn't want to bring Kopa into the middle of this. It wasn't fair, it wasn't fair. Kopa didn't deserve this. He didn't deserve to know this kind of pain and fear. The cub looked up when Nigel padded ahead again, then looked over at Kopa before returning his gaze to his paws, narrowing his eyes down at the sand. He hated sand. Hated anything that reminded him of that horrible place. The horrible place that he was going back to. The horrible place that he had, accidentally, managed to drag his brother into. Yeah... It wasn't fair.
Kiara was never a troubled princess. In fact, she could feel sunken eyes on her, but she didn’t dare turn to them. Instead, Kiara kept her muzzle up, her paws aimlessly walking in no particular direction, yet everyone was falling her like she was their leader. It only got worse when Vexy began to talk because Kiara felt her ears dropping. Only slightly, however. They immediately perked back up with no effort at all. “Don’t be silly!” Kiara chastised. If Kila wanted to keep her secrets, there was no law in the pridelands that said ‘You can’t keep your secrets. Tell your sister everything.’ No, no, no, that law was far from in the making. A little part of her knew that it would be a pretty cool law in places, and that almost made her laugh. Perhaps if she were future queen, then that rule would be in the process. Kiara lashed her tail. “She’s entitled to her privacy as all of us are.” Maybe Kiara has some secrets that weren’t worth the public ear. “But sometimes being too guarded you’ll never get the help you need.” She said more softly, and allowed her shoulders to relax as she continued forward, shooting a small smile towards Vexy. “Which actually reminds me, Vexy - how have you been lately? Is everything good? And...I, uh, believe you have a brother - how is he?” Kiara didn’t know much about the other lioness. Except for the fact that she was Kila’s best friend. Vaguely shenrecalled Vexy having a brother, who was Kion’s best friend...only she didn’t remember his name.
Jelani shot Kila a quizzical look, but she didn’t bother to mess with the princess any longer. Instead she dipped her head in a respectful manner, and allowed her eyes to travel to her paws. Left paw, right paw; left, right, left, right, left, right. It was a repeating pattern that could had made her purred at her silliness. The tiny oval paws bringing her mind into a state of oblivion creation where everyone else was too far for her to comprehend. As far as she was concerned, she was the only one walking on nice...marbled ground. Soft to her paws, almost like a nice bedding to jump on. But, her eyes had blinked. The little world was gone, and the girls were talking. Jelani wasn’t listening much. Her head swiveled to look towards the sky, a little lost in the clouds. She was dainty tigon. Small, weak, fragile. Her physique was almost like a twig. One swipe and she was forever gone. Dust. When she almost tripped, it brought her out a world of serenity and she finally paid attention to the crowd. Her teal eyes locked on Tiifu and Zuri, narrowing her eyes and twitching her nose.
Zuri couldn’t agree more than her friend. If only they were biologically born into the royal family. Zuri got a kick out of admiring queen Nala - if that could be their mother, Tiifu and Kiara her sister’s. The other three cubs; Kopa, Kila, And Kion could all vanish from the earth for all she cared. It’s not that she had anything against them. Well, except Kilana, since she had upset their best friend. Kopa was alright...she guessed. He was a bit unfamothable. Kion...she didn’t really like much. He completely disregarded them, and to Zuri he was a conceited, arrogant excuse of a prince! “Kiara was just cursed with Kila. We can still be her sisters!” Zuri cooed, perking her voice to a higher octave. “Maybe not biological, but still, you know what I mean, right? She’ll forget all about Kila,” Zuri purred, feeling that she came up with a brilliant plan. They were Kiara’s best friends after all, it didn’t matter what anyone else said. “Where are we going anyway? I don’t want my paws aching...” she whined.
Kopa stomped his paws in defiance as he traveled with the others. He kept close to Kion, glaring at the tigers and leopard that he so kindly allowed to trespass into his territory only for them to turn against him! Kopa felt his ears dropping for once, but he didn’t talk. He wondered wherever could they be heading, but he didn’t voice his questions for he knew they would retaliate with bruises. Kopa was already hurt enough for trying to fight back. He got a limp. His blue eyes narrowing, darkening like the ocean as he thought of plausible ways to rid his enemies. He tried to recall the many lessons that Simba taught him, but that made little into his mind. He was seething, holding in snarls towards their captors. They won’t get away with this...if there was a way in, then there was a way out.
Kopa had licked his jaws. Sure, he was bigger than Kion, but calling his brother a runt? Kopa would had growled. Kion was the leader of the lion guard - he was brave! Everyone should had feared him! Kopa didn’t know anything about this...Lucifer. His nose had twitched, and his ears flicked back for a moment. No point of asking question. Something was bound to happen soon enough.
Vexy nodded as Kiara spoke, and frowned faintly when she spoke about being guarded. "That's true." She mumbled, then blinked when Kiara asked how she was. "Oh, I'm fine! Everything has been going just great." Her ears perked up, the frown disappearing into a smile when Kiara mentioned her brother. "Which one? I suppose you're talking about Chaka, Kion's best friend-slash-lover?" She mused, whiskers twitching faintly before she shook her head. "He's doing good! Very good, in fact. Trying his best to run the empire.. Vincent's helping. Oh, Chaka hasn't been over to check on Kion in a while.. He'd be glad to know how he's doing. Kion's alright, isn't he?" She asked, her clear blue eyes now flickering over to Kiara, looking concerned. She knew all about the Sabers, and the rescue - Chaka had told her about it. She was just as concerned for Kion as Chaka was. And hopefully Kion was doing well. "He'll probably come by to check on him soon," She mumbled, mostly to herself before shaking her head. "Anyway, Kiara, how about you? How have you been?"
"Exactly!" Tiifu's ears perked up as Zuri spoke, her head tilting faintly and her eyes going wide. "We'll be like, her adoptive sisters. That's perfect. And we'll be so much better than Kila." She added with a purr. Her ears flicked when Zuri asked where they were going, and she blinked innocently at the other lioness, going silent for a very long time before looking ahead. "Not sure. My paws hurt, too, though..."
Nigel's ears seemed to perk up as they walked. The tiger was beyond pleased with himself for capturing two royal cubs and bringing them back. One of them was the future heir - It was going to be great to break him. The other? One of Lucifer's best slaves. The only one who matched Kion in that would be Claire, of course. But Claire held a fiery passion in her - Kion held none. He had no fight. He obeyed and he obeyed without question or hesitation. That was what Lucifer needed. Of course, Claire was good. She got the job done. She worked hard. But she just held this... Fire. This spark. She wasn't broken, but she didn't fight. Kion was broken and he didn't fight. That was a win. "Here we are." The tiger said smugly as they neared the camp, tilting his head at it.
"Home sweet home." Sam agreed with a smirk, looking up at the camp before looking back down at Kopa and Kion, head tilting, waiting to see their reactions. Lissie just followed silently, smirking.
Kion didn't want to look - He didn't want to, but he did. His amber gaze slowly traveled up to look up at the camp. It was built tall, walls made of logs and boulders, held together with strong vines and cords. There were two trees on either side of the entrance, broken and dead with vines wrapped around, a few logs piled up like an arch above it. Kion blinked, staring up through wide eyes. He could remember. He remembered it so clearly. Staying up for days working on this, once Lucifer had him broken. Him and Claire working together to build it. Seeing it now, he felt no pride, none at all. He just felt fear. Deep fear. Because this camp held nothing but bad memories for him. Very... Very bad memories."Oh..." He whispered, his steps faltering, then just stopping completely. They were right there. So close. So close... "Hell.."
And that's where they were. That's where he was. Right back in Hell.
