ThunderClan Fire Evacuation

Fire.

Ashstar had never been witness to one such as this before, but he had always known the fire that was death by flames. To burn up into ash, lungs blackened with smoke and body charred beyond recognition. It was his namesake almost, what came after the great blaze, the ruins that remained. Useless, pathetic reminders of what once was, that even the fire had been something magnificent if also terrifying. Powerful, ravenous, unstoppable, a true force to be reckoned. All the things the grey furred tom considered himself not. As amber eyes fell upon the massive tongues of orange that filled the northern sky, he knew that was exactly what he was seeing.

With as courageous a yowl as he could produce with death looming so close, the heat of the fire already seeping into the camp, Ashstar climbed onto the Highrock. “ThunderClan!” He shouted with no time wasted on decorum or ceremony. “There is a great fire to the north,” his lungs already burned from the smoke that blotted the sky, darkness condensing into great clouds that blocked out the vastness of the stars. The opaque mass was a stark contrast to the red and orange light that was spreading as quickly as Ashstar spoke. “We must flee to the sea, or we will all die!”

The sound of a burning tree cracking, yawning to the side in the burning forest before crashing, was loud and ominous. “Warriors, apprentices!” Ashstar snapped off orders quickly, “Take the kits and queens, make sure they’re all evacuated! My senior warriors, escort the elders! Gyrewind, you will lead them to the sea, I’ll make sure everyone gets out!” He ordered, looking around for his deputy and hoping he heard him in the midst of all the chaos.

Palestripe gave a resolute to his leader, for once listening to him without question or scornful glare, and darted to the nursery to get the kits out of the highly flammable nest. Ashstar could see his sister, dazed and confused, shuffling about in a panic, before Yewspots rushed over to her to nudge the she-cat towards the exit, clearly in no condition to help anyone. The dark spotted tom glanced up at the grey leader, and gave a smile that chilled the StarClan blessed leader to his core before the pair vanished through the mouth of the camp that mercifully faced away from the fires.

Ashstar tried to shake the image from his mind as he turned his attention up to looming orange flames, and the tom found himself rooted in place. He struggled to find his courage for a moment, until the image of his mate filled his mind and Ashstar was as resolute as possible. “Hurry ThunderClan!” He yowled with as much confidence to inspire urgency rather than panic into his clanmates. “To the sea!”

Fernglow smelled the fire before the clan was alerted. It was a terrible smell, making you think agony was near. He ran off to the nursery so he could help Palestripe evacuate the kits and queens, some too weak to walk. He and Palestripre would have to carry a few cats out, and quickly. If not, the nursery would set fire with kits and queens inside.

Stormkit heard her leader,and lifted her head to smell the air.Indeed,it did smell like fire.She ran back into the nursery to try and get the others awake."There's an fire!" She mewled as she got in there.

Wolfheart smelt the fire.She could tell it was near,so she quickly rushed to the elders den to make sure they got out safely.

Tatteredpaw looked around calmly, then looked at the nursery entrance and rushed over, popping her head in. “Anyone in here need help?” the odd looking molly called, her hairless face and coppery eyes peering through the thickening smoke. She broke off coughing, then looked back in to see if there were any kits.

Antshrikewing wasn't sure what to do, so he stood in the center of the clearing, watching to make sure no cat was left behind. His throat was raw from the smoke, and his fur was fluffed up. He looked three times his size, making him look very big, since he was already very big. His cream colored fur was messy to add to it. He shook then rushed over to the elders' den and peered inside.

Coldlight hissed in anger as he watched his Clanmates rush about, helping echother. He'd never understood why anyone would do that, and thought it mouse-brained to help one an other like that, so instead of risking his own tail, he ran out from the camp, following those who'd already left.

Thornkit tumbled out of the nursery, the smokes impact hitting him at once. the fearless kit was no longer fearless and was squealing loudly for his mother and father before relizing they had left the clan not long ago . "help! " he called, fear burning into his green eyes as he witnessed other cat bustling around, trying to gather who they could before escaping. Dawnheart Snowkit Otterkit grabbed Seakit by the scruff and dragged her out of the nursery. She went back and also grabbed Snowkit and Silverkit and brought them out.

Coldpaw grudgingly got out of his nest. Breathing in the smoke, he couldn't help but cough. Slowly trudging into the nursery, he picked up the nearest kit, and tossed it onto his back. When he got back in the clearing, he just set the kit down. This was all he ever wanted. A horrible tragedy. He padded over near Cold light, and watched the panic spread. | Tawnypaw followed after Coldpaw, and quick picked up the kit who was panicing in the clearing. With the kit on her back, she quickly followed the crowd out of the camp and too the sea. "It's going to be okay." She said to the kit. | Mistkit was torn away from her sleep when the pure white cat picked her up and took her away. When she was plopped down in the clearing, she panicked. Seeing the cat leave her in the middle of the clearing was devastating. When she was picked back up again, she felt a wave of relief crash over her. But then she saw the smoke. Then she was panicked again. Hearing the kind words the apprentice gave her, she nodded her head. She hoped this was all but reality.

Zerosight awoke startled and sat up quickly, barely hearing Ashstar yelling something about a fire. He remembered a story Snowrunner had once told him about a fire that had swept through the clan's territories a few moons before he arrived to ThunderClan. "Northpaw! Wake up! We need to gather as many herbs as we can and get out of here!" The tom went straight to the herb storage, gathering most of the basic herbs such as marigold, cobwebs, and some things like comfrey root and whatever was left of his honey, knowing they were good for burns and smoke inhalation. He nudged some traveling herbs, consisting of a mix of sorrel, daisy, chamomile and burnet, towards Northpaw and gobbled some up himself, knowing they were going to need the strength if they got out of here. Then, he split the herbs evening between them, wrapping them quickly and sliding them Northpaw's way again. Without waiting, he slipped out into the chaos of camp, not being able to see the flames, but being able to feel their warmth and smell their smoke.

Fernglow started helping other kits ecscape, then went to help thequeens. "Kits, hurry! I'll get your mothers"

Leopardkit wailed in panic as the horrid stench of fire filled her jaws, she didn't know where to go.

Lightpaw nodded, but she still felt bad. I wish I coulda at least caught something! Feeling terrible, she started to head back to camp, until the faint stench of acid and burning reached her nose. What in StarClan...?! She whipped around, her snow white pelt spiking up, but she could see nothing. "Fernpaw! Fernpaw, can you scent anything?" Lightpaw nervously continued on, but her eyes traveled everywhere at every second. She saw nothing, scented nothing, until she reached camp. Her jaw dropped to new levels, her eyes went as wide as they could possibly be, and her mind literally stopped.
Fire.
She screeched, and immediately turned and fled. Burstpaw! In the training cave! Does he know?! Her paws flew over the ground, going as fast as they'd ever gone. But where's the training cave?!

Oakclaw noticed Leopardkit wailing. "Leopardkit, don't worry. I'll help you out of the nursery. I'll take you to safety, which is out of camp.", he said as he walked over to the kit, picked her up by the scruff, and took her out of camp.

Rosedance's golden amber eyes met the newly opened eyes of a young Lightningkit, who looked back up at her mother in awe. "I hope I someday become as brave and beautiful as her," she remembered thinking. But an overwhelming feeling of grief and sadness washed over her, as the scene grew dark, and large scratches formed on her dear mother's lovely pelt. Rosedance's eyes shown with fear for a moment, then barely anything at all. The older Lightningkit ran over to her dying mother. "M-mama," she whimpered, tears falling. "M-mama, I don't know what to do," She cried. Rosedances eyes opened for a moment, meeting Lightningkit's. "Run to the ocean," she said with a voice other than her own, just before her lovely gold eyes went dull, and her body went motionless.

Lightningpaw awoke from the horrid dream, and the sent of smoke curled under her nose. Noise was everywhere, and it was hard to concentrate. Out of the madness, she heard their leader's brave voice boom, "Run! Get out! Run to the sea!" And her dream suddenly faded away from memory. She raced out of the den, and her eyes widened hugely at the site of the flames, creeping up the dens and trees. She closed her eyes for a moment, and listened close, so she might hear anyone who needed help. She heard a cry from the nursery, and dashed in that direction. She noticed a small kit wailing for help, and ran forwards, picking Leopardkit up by the scruff of her small neck. "It's okay, you're okay," She said, her words muffled by the kits fur.

Silverheart as quickly as she could walked out of the elders den. what about Moonlight and the kits! she thought as she quickly ran/walked to the nursery.
"Moonheart! Rosekit! Violetkit!" She called out.
"Over here" Moonheart said caughing.

Fernglow helped the queens escape, then picked up random kits and ran them out of camp as quickly as possible, though the smoke was thickening.

Maplefur heard the elder behind her, and felt a pang of pity for her. I may not have been born here, but this is my home too... Sadness fell over her, and she tried to ignore it. The she-cat tried to catch sight of Amberstorm as she raced through the camp, then through the territory, but to no avail. She hoped her friend was alright. He'll be fine. She told herself sternly, before forcing her mind back onto the problem at hand. Both kits were letting out scared mewls, and she tried to purr to calm them. She couldn't speak, as she had one kit in her mouth and she was already running out of breath.

Zerosight made his way to Ashstar as quickly as he could, bumping into other cats every few steps or so. His blue eyes were watering due to the smoke, not that his eyes could hinder him more than they already did. "Ashstar," He meowed, setting his bundle down. The medicine cat quickly nudged a smaller bundle toward the leader. "Traveling herbs," He meowed simply. "You're going to need some extra strength." He felt vulnerable in this situation, not being able to use his nose to know where he was going. The tom didn't even know if he nudged the herbs in the right direction, his sense direction messed up due to the crisis. The only thing he had to rely on was his memory of the camp lay out. "Do you need me to do anything?" He asked, looking for guidance.

Zerosight made his way to Ashstar as quickly as he could, bumping into other cats every few steps or so. His blue eyes were watering due to the smoke, not that his eyes could hinder him more than they already did. "Ashstar," He meowed, setting his bundle down. The medicine cat quickly nudged a smaller bundle toward the leader. "Traveling herbs," He meowed simply. "You're going to need some extra strength." He felt vulnerable in this situation, not being able to use his nose to know where he was going. The tom didn't even know if he nudged the herbs in the right direction, his sense direction messed up due to the crisis. The only thing he had to rely on was his memory of the camp lay out. "Do you need me to do anything?" He asked, looking for guidance.

Zerosight shook his head firmly, turning his head in the direction of Ashstar's voice. "I'm good," He meowed, having already taken some a few moments before. His eyes were filled with the stubbornness of a healer, though is was partially hidden due to his tears. "They will need both of us. I may be able to heal them, but only your voice can completely reassure them that we will be alright." The tom tried to find Northpaw's scent among the smoke, but couldn't. He hoped his apprentice would figure out how to get out on his own. "Just eat them," He instructed firmly before grabbing his bundle and heading back to his den for one last attempt to find Northpaw.

Timberkit felt the smell of smoke fill her lungs and her mother nudging her too wake up. The kit was still a bit tired and didn't know what was going on. "Mama?", The small lass asked as she looked up at her mother.
"Timberkit come on wake up there is a fire we have too leave!", Her mother yelled as she picked the kit up. She padded quickly over the the nursery entrance. "Go find some apprentices or adults they will help you okay? Listen to what they say and don't disobey their orders! I'm going too help the other queens with their kits.", The small female said as she nudged her kit too get going.
Timberkit was still clueless as ever yet fear just took over her body. Then she remembered Orchidkit who was still sleeping and ran back into the nursery.

Otterkit and Oakclaw ran out of camp as fast as they could. Everyone was safe now. They both looked back as the dens were turning into ashes. "The nursery....", Otterkit sighed. "The Warriors' den...", Oakclaw huffed.

She winced as the large kit removed it's claws, then looked the two over. They looked like pitiful piles of fur, shaking as they were so scared. The she-cat pulled the two to her with her paw, giving them licks to remove the scent of smoke and to comfort them. "Now, you two, where are your mothers?" She searched the crowd of clan cats, looking for any frantic queens. She also began looking for Amberstorm, but couldn't find his pelt in the mess of chaos. Oh, please let him be alright!

Fire,fire was a terrifying thing for the molly known
as Swiftcry.She ran with her clanmates,a frightened
expression on her face.The flames prickled near her
back,making the ginger and orange patched tabby
wince with pain.It was as if the trees were wailing,
trying to whisk the flames off of them.How had this
happened?Confusion set in,but she kept the pace
with her clanmates,trying to be calm.

He trusted the elder to take care of themselves, but he wasn't sure if she just accepted the fact that she wouldn't reach the beach, or if she was acting heroic for stupid glory. He never really understood elders, but for once he would have to let her do her thing. He hesitated before turning back and leaving, gave her a last look, at her and at his beloved camp where he grew up, played, found love, and eventualy became what he was meant to be: A warrior."You better come back or I swear to starclan, I'll fill your pelt with ticks." he knew his words were in vain, because if she died, well, she'd be nothing but cripsy corpse or her former self, but he wished with all his being that she'd come back alive. He turned and grabbed leafkit on his way out, and ran out of the clearing, his pelt all dusty and darkened, and headed towards the rendez-vous point: the shore. ( Stormiiix )

Mapledash was following the rest of the elders, making sure they followed. He wanted to close the march, making sure silverheart would come and catch up, but he also feared she wouldn't, so he stayed at the front. They had to stay strong for the sake of the clan, and probably for any other clans that were driven from their home by the fire. It seemed that it was extending to windclan and riverclan, but riverclan was safe because of the large river blocking the vicious flames from crossing over to their camp. Mapledash frowned and sighted. There was so many things they had lost in this fire. But what could have started it? It was pretty dry recently, so that probably didn't help, but a fire needs a spark, doesn't it? He chassed the thoughts, too sad to think about it. Right now, the clan was his priority.

Silverheart took a deep breath and lay there. Memories of her kit hood came flooding back. Her 3 sisters, Goldenflash, Amberlake, and Bronze heart flooded her mind. The time of her apprentice hood, her mentor Firesong. Then to her warrior ceremony... then to her mate Leafbreeze. Then to Moonheart birth, to meeting Grasswhisker. To see I g her grand kits being born. And finally to now. She wasn't scared to die... She had a good, long life. And now she was ready. She looked up and saw a tree branch on fire.
"I'm ready StarClan! To join you..." She said I a whisper as the flaming branch fell. Everything was I slow motion. She closed her eyes and remmber ed all her happy memories then the tree branch landed....

I can't loose it in front of these kits, they're already terrified as it is. The kits simply stood there, shaking, with their fur puffed out. Their eyes were wide, and they were attached to her legs like burrs, moving with her as she continued to walk around the cats. "Does anyone recognize these two kits? They were in the nursery, an elder told me to take them here. I don't know their parents, please someone help them!" The scent of smoke was heavy in the air, and Maplefur hoped it wouldn't reach the sea. Surely we're safe here?

She looked at the other kit , waiting to see how it would respond

Instead, she laid down and pressed the two to her side with her tail and begun grooming the smaller kit. "It's alright, calm down. If you tell me who you are, then I can find your mother faster. You must want to be with her in a time like this," she urged the kit, trying to get her calm enough to speak. She flicked her gaze to the other kit who was still silent, trying to convince it to speak with her eyes.

Maplefur sighed, deciding that continuing to pad around in circles through the crowd of cats would only upset the kits further. Instead, she laid down and pressed the two to her side with her tail and begun grooming the smaller kit. "It's alright, calm down. If you tell me who you are, then I can find your mother faster. You must want to be with her in a time like this," she urged the kit, trying to get her calm enough to speak. She flicked her gaze to the other kit who was still silent, trying to convince it to speak with her eyes.

"M-my name is hemlockkit ." she stuttered , surprised she could find the will to speak at all . she looked at the other kit again, hoping it would say something. Her gaze slowly drifted from thee kit again to look at the other cats and see their condition. The smoke must have been horrible for some were in coughing fit . Hemlockkit was lucky and was taken early on out of the nursery and had only managed to get a few breaths of the terrible smoke . though her lungs were fine, the smoke seemed to have gotten matted and was darker than normal . the kit rested her gaze on the other kit once again

I carried you and Hemlockkit to the shore, and we are searching for your parents right now. There was a forest fire. Are you and Hemlockkit siblings?" She spoke in a calm, soothing voice.

Aspenfall coughed as he exited camp before glancing around and making sure everyone was taken care of. His eyes suddenly turned malevolent as his personalities switched and Aspenfall looked around once more his eyes targeting Hemlockit.

Copperpaw stared around at the cats her fur a blackened smolder from the ash and cinder that had come from the fire. The only thing that was noticeable was her copper eyes which shown as bright as the fire.

The kit began to lick his friends head in an attempt to comfort her "hey, that's not true, even tho it may look different, even tho things may not be the same, that doesnt mean that home is gone. Home is where you can sleep at night knowing that you're safe, home is where your loved ones are. Hemlockkit, wherever you go, I'll go you are my home after all." He purred as he tried to reassure his friend, resting his head on hers. He then turned his attention back to the warrior, or so he thaught he was looking at the she cat, he couldn't tell "my names juniperkit....nice to meet you?" He said, doubt evident in his voice.

Hearing the two friends comforting each other, she wished Amberstorm was there. I guess he's my best friend, she thought to herself. Though the two hadn't known each other for long, she still looked forward to each time they hung out. Her mind flashed to her sister, and she wished she was here. Oh, Fria, you would be in a panic... It had been a couple days since she had last seen Fria, and she knew it would be a while longer until she could slip off to see her again. Maplefur would be needed back at camp to help rebuild, and wouldn't dare leave when her clan needed her so badly. She looked at Juniperkit and let out a weak purr. "Yes, nice to meet you. You two rest, alright?" She hoped they would settle, though she doubted they would be able to with the noises of the clan around them.

The she cat paused, looking down at the two kits besides her. "If anything happens to him, well then I can't help but blame myself for leaving him."

Guilt washed over Maplefur. She hasn't meant to make the kits feel they were to blame. "No, it was my choice to go to the nursery. I went there willingly, without anyone asking me to. I... well I was about to leave before I thought of all the kits, so I decided I would go check and see if anyone needed my help. I left him." She played the events over in her mind. "He was going to teach me how to hunt rabbits from trees," she meowed dejectedly.

Zerosight shook his head firmly, turning his head in the direction of Ashstar's voice. "I'm good," He meowed, having already taken some a few moments before. His eyes were filled with the stubbornness of a healer, though is was partially hidden due to his tears. "They will need both of us. I may be able to heal them, but only your voice can completely reassure them that we will be alright." The tom tried to find Northpaw's scent among the smoke, but couldn't. He hoped his apprentice would figure out how to get out on his own. "Just eat them," He instructed firmly before grabbing his bundle and heading back to his den for one last attempt to find Northpaw.

Ashstar darted his gaze to the side, examining the flames, and gave a sigh before he chewed them down. They were bitter, but not quite as bitter as the choking smoke that filled the camp now. Lifting his maw, he glanced about to see cats still floundering around the clearing. "Everyone out!" He shouted, jumping down and rushing to the camp entrance to assure they could find it, his tail high like a banner. His body felt like it was being cooked by the sun, only instead it was the fires that engulfed the upper canopy of the trees. The hungry flames flickered down, and started to swallow the camp itself. "Everyone out!"

When she was finished, she locked over at Hemlockkit. "Alright you, your turn." She enjoyed the kits's company, and cleaning them gave her a bit of a happy buzz despite the situation. Looking over at Juniperkit, who was wet because of his washing, she let out a light laugh. "Why are you two so cute?" She purred.

She cried out in terror, fear struck her as she tripped over a body and heard a kit wail. She saw her mother, dead on the ground. She sobbed," No...She lifted her mother's body and half dragged to towards the beach, Fernpaw saw her and helped her carrrying the body to safety.

Owlpaw shot back in before Fernpaw could stop her, Fernpaw yowled," Stay, your safer here!"

Owlpaw snarled," Falconkit and Hornetkit are out there, last I saw them was with my mother!"

Fernpaw bit her lip," I'm coming with you, Rosepaw! Peachpaw! Lilacpaw! Will you help us find Hornetkit and Falconkit?"

Rosepaw gulped," Anything for the kits,"

Owlpaw paced impatiently for Fernpaw and Rosepaw," Come on!"

Falconkit added," Zerosight and Northpaw will thank us for rescuing the herbs,"

Hornetkit hesitantly agreed and they ran toward's camp in a rush to rescue the herbs and be the clan hero's.

Juniperkit flicked his ear and smiled at hemlockkit once he noticed that she was padding over to him "you're over there...."he said with no emotion in his voice "hey...what's it look like anyways? I can hear everything but ...I dunno."the kit said, as he looked around, puzzlement evident on his face.
Maplefur pushed herself up onto her paws and padded over to the two before sitting down again. "Well, there's a lot of cats running around, some searching for loved ones and friends, others reuiniting with each other. There's a lot of black smoke coming from the forest, and you can see a red glow from the fire."

The smell of flames and smoke clogged her nostrils, and Mouseleap let out a ragged cough, head whipping towards the Nursery, emerald orbs narrowed. "Kits and Queens!" She yowled out, bounding into the den. "Get out--" She coughed again, tail bristled in fear, her tattered and sliced ears flattened on her skull. "Theres a fire, and its in camp!" Quickly hopping towards the back of the den, she nudged any lingering queens or kits towards the exit. "Go!"

Curled up in the warriors den, asleep when Ashstar made his call, Antstep's eyes remained shut, still deep in his sleep. It wasn't until thick smoke flooded the den, and the scent of ash filled his nose woke him up, hazy and blurred eyes pulled wide awake in shock and confusion. His throat and chest began to ache, and his fur puffed out as he let out a yowl of surprise. Fire?! The thought rung out in his head, scrambling out of his nest with his eyes squeezed shut and climbing out of the exit of the warriors den, letting out a wheezy cough. His blue eyes began to water as he opened them, exposing them to the dark gray smoke that was layered above the camp like an overhang. Antstep looked towards the Nursery, his nose clogged but from what he could see, it was empty, so he bounded after the other apprentices and warriors flooding out of camp, striped fur puffed out and clumped to his sides, moss scraps still hanging off his pelt.

Autumnleaf’s head shot up, awakening abruptly from her slumber as the yowl announcement of a fire rang through her ears. Her ears flattened and she sprang to her paws, her five kits giving out mewls and whines as their peaceful activities were interrupted. “It’s okay, little ones, everything is going to be okay.” She soothed them and wrapped herself around them all. She knew that she wouldn’t be able to carry all of them by herself. She quickly searched around. “Somebody! I need help getting my kittens to safety!” She said, her tone desperate and scared. The young queen licked their heads, soothing her tiny babies as they whined from all the chaos.

Sparkkit was mewling as he whippd his head from side to side, wondering what in the name of StarClan was happening. He let out another mewl, which turned into a soft wail despite his mothers soothing words. Whats going on? Whats happening?

Quietstream is awoken by the noise of Bluejay and the queens so he falls out of tree and scares them "ow... oh hey guys"

She nodded to him as a thanks as he took Sparkkit, her oldest, off her back and quickly lead them to the safety of the tunnels, following the rest of the clan. She whimpered and squeezed her eyes shut as smoke make her eyes sting and water. The young queen made sure to keep a tight grip on Stormkit and Adderkit. Everything was going to chaos and the small american bobtail was terrified and just wanted her mate - Lightningclaw. She wanted him here to help her with their kittens and tell her everything was going to be okay. Her claws unsheathed and dug into the grass and dirt as she kept telling herself to be strong and brave for her precious babies, Her life was changing dramatically once again - just like when her parents died when she was a kit and when Lightningclaw got his powers when they were young apprentices. Now, as a warrior and queen, her everyday life was being changed once again before her eyes as fire and smoke destroyed her home and everything she knew and loved. Her kits, her mate, her adopted parents.. They all needed to be safe and okay - they needed to be. She jumped in terror, her thick golden brown fur fluffing up as Quietstream jumped in front of them.

Bluejay let out a muffled gasp as quietstreamfell in front of him "what are you doing you mouse brain, the camps on fire! Get a move on" he growled and nudged the she cat up and began to push her forward, he slowed himself so that the three she cats went through the gorse tunnel before him, then it wasn't his turn. Keeping the kit close to him he began to crawl out of the clearing, making sure the kit wasn't inhailing too much smoke or getting hurt as he did so. Once they were out his blue eyes scanned the territory and he ushered the She cats to safety.

He nodded to Hiddenvoice and Bluejay, thanking them for helping with his kits. He then looked at Autumnleaf. "Is everything alright? Are you hurt at all? Did the kits get injured?" He kept asking questions, needing answers to calm him down.

Autumnleaf’s light green eyes widened when Lightningclaw’s familiar form came into her view and tears ran down her face, wanting this terror and chaos to end. She lightly set down Adderkit and Stormkit as they uttered mews of protest, but she laid in the dirt, holding them close to her warm body as she looked up at her mate. “No, everything isn’t alright! I’m terrified, Lightningclaw. Our kits might get hurt, what kind of life will they live? They’ve only been alive for a few moons and this is their introduction into the world?” She hissed in frustration, her body shaking as she struggled to calm the squealing, terrified kittens between her front paws. The small she-cat looked down and shut her eyes for a moment. “I.. I have no major injuries, just some light burns from steppin’ on sparks from the fire.” She muttered, her tears eventually stopping, “None of our kits are hurt, they are just terrified and want to sleep, but they cannot. We must get them somewhere safe, far away from here.” She looked over at Bluejay and Hiddenvoice, seeing the scared, squirming kittens in their grasps. They were so helpless and frightened, just like her.

"Listen, I know we promissed to Zerosight and Ashstar to keep this a secret until my powers were needed, but now seems like a good time to use them." Lightningclaw said. He was about to wait for Autumnleaf's consent, but suddenly, a large crashing sound was heard, and then another, and suddenly, a nearby tree started to collapse on top of the group, being knocked over by another tree (Domino effect). Having no time to react, Lightningclaw immediately activated his powers, his pelt now glowing as electricity sparked all around him. running at the tree and jumping at it, pushing it backwards while clawing at it, and eventuallly the small portion of the tree that was left fell in a different direction, saving the group of cats.

Lightningclaw turned, having blocked the trees, he should now help carrying the kits. "Here, Ill take some of them" He said, grabbing Adderkit from Autumnleaf. He then zoomed off, taking Adderkit all the way to the tunnel entrance in a few seconds, and being back moments later. He then grabbed stormkit, and proceded to do this with every kit, being able to transport them all in just over a minute."

DreamHeart runs from nursery to apprentices dento warriors den to help evacuate cats. She goes to elders den and sees a yowling elder trapped in the flames. SmokePelt!!!! DreamHeart drags the screaming elder out of the fire and brings him to safty

She knew that Bluejay and Hiddenvoice would be able to focus on getting to safety now without having to worry about the burden of her kits in their jaws. The protective, yet terrified queen leapt over fallen logs as she finally reached the place where her kits now were. She laid down on the cold ground, wrapping her warm, small body around her five, tiny kits that mewed at her embrace, nuzzling into her fur. She smiled, small tears now forming in the corners of her eyes as she licked her kit’s heads, just wanting this to be a bad dream.

Tatteredpaw looked around in panic. Roaring flames were surrounding her, and she could see no escape. The thick black smoke seared her throat and burned her lungs. The black and silver molly coughed, choking on smoke. Then she stood still, wheezing from the smoke. Her fur felt very warm due to the approaching flames. Her coppery eyes rested on an oak tree, and without hesitation, Tatteredpaw leaped, catching the lowest branch in her claws, dangling dangerously above the fire before clawing her way on to it. She was shaking very badly as she crouched on the branch, crackling flames licking hungrily at the tree. To the apprentice's dismay, the flames steadily grew and were now climbing up the tree with the aid of some ivy that grew up the trunk. She let out a terrified yowl as she heard a faint crack, and felt the branch she was on wobble. Flames had now reached the base of the branch, and blood roared in her ears, her heart pounding.

Lightningclaw decided to release his powered state now, so he would have to deal with tha paralysis that long. His body stopped glowing, and he dropped to the ground, but before Autumnleaf could do anything he said softly "Dont worry, it will be real short". 30 seconds later, Lightninclaw hopped up, ready for action.

Her hairless face stood out oddly against the fur, and she reared back, trying to get a grip on the branch above her. She wobbled, but caught it in her claws and managed to get a good grip. Just then, there was a louder crack and the branch she'd been on moments before broke, sending up a spray of embers, which burned wherever they touched her. She felt an intense heat creep up her hind leg and let out a yowl of pain, trying to haul herself on to the branch, not daring to look down.

Gorseleap twiched his whiskers and grinned leaning down to whisper in the kits ear "I know someone who could teach you how to be the greatest warrior in all four clans" he whispered, exctement danced in his eyes. He quickly sat right up again once he head quietstream jump down, the tom gave an annoyed snort and layed himself down.

Burstpaw could smell the fast-approaching fire from the training cave. Being the scaredy cat he was, he screeched and fearfully looked around. Can you hide from a fire?! Can you escape from a fire?! He didn't know what to do, until he saw his sister.

Lightpaw was relieved to see Burstpaw and ran up to him. "We gotta go, now!" She pushed him in front of her, her voice becoming hoarse due to the smoke. "We've gotta leave the territory, before we get burned!" Inside, she was freaking out, unsure of what to do. Where do we go?! But she knew she had to be strong, for her brother.

Burstpaw felt his sister push him forward, but didn't argue. At least she knows what to do! He left the training cave, the stench of acid and smoke even heavier now, and together the littermates raced through the territory, following the other warriors, hoping to find safety.

Autumnleaf was quiet and didn’t react much to what Lightningclaw said, too shaken and affected by the fire that had destroyed their home and endangered their kittens. She nuzzled each tiny body, making sure they were warm and got plenty of milk from their mother’s belly. “Everything will be okay, my precious little ones.” She purred to them, smiling as she drowned out the sound of the fire crackling in the distance and the chaos of other cats as she tended to her babies, hearing them purr and mew to her. “You can go if you want. I know that you want to protect the clan.” She said, not looking at her mate, “You got your powers for a reason.”

Autumnleaf was quiet and didn’t react much to what Lightningclaw said, too shaken and affected by the fire that had destroyed their home and endangered their kittens. She nuzzled each tiny body, making sure they were warm and got plenty of milk from their mother’s belly. “Everything will be okay, my precious little ones.” She purred to them, smiling as she drowned out the sound of the fire crackling in the distance and the chaos of other cats as she tended to her babies, hearing them purr and mew to her. “You can go if you want. I know that you want to protect the clan.” She said, not looking at her mate, “You got your powers for a reason.”

Seeing his family all safe made Lightningclaw relax, and he started to purr softly. "I know i have my powers to protect the clan, but im more worried about keeping you all safe" Lightningclaw said, rubbing muzzles with Autumnleaf.

"Honeypaw! Palepaw!" Lionpaw yelled. "Lionpaw, let's go!" his sister screamed. "Not until I find them!" he replied, and ran back to camp. He saw his sister on the ground, and he ran to her. Putting her onbhis back, he also saw a kit on the ground. He ran over and picked her up as well before running back out, flames chasing him. He gave the kit to Coonpaw and his sister to his brother. "I gotta see if anyone is still in there, you go." he said. "Luonpae, no!" his mother protested. Lionpaw nuzzled her, then ran back into the roaring flames.
Adderki felt Coonpaw grab her and Coonpaw ran to Autumnleaf. "Autumnleaf, wait!" she called, and ran up with the smallmkit. "I believe this one is yours..." She huffed through fur.

Feeling his comforting touch made the small she-cat whimper, wanting more of his relaxing warmth that settled her shaking form. Everything had changed in the last few hours to her dismay, making it all go to chaos. Her clan, her family, even herself.. Who was safe? Who would die? She would not know until it was all over. She buried her face into Lightningclaw’s neck, several tears rolling down her face once again. Their tiny kits gave out scared mews as she pulled away from them to nuzzle her mate, so she brought the tiny five bodies to rest between the two cats to keep them warm and safe with both their purring and body heat. “I’m so scared..” She admitted to the tom-cat that she loved, “How do I know that you or our kits will be all safe when this is finally over?”

Quietstream looks at lightningclaw and autumnleaf and starts to talk to self "I wish i still had my family. starts to walk away.

"Tatteredpaw grab my paw" Owltail yelled above the sound of the roreing flames reaching down
Tatteredpaw reached out, but her grip on the branch was slipping. She looked at Owltail in terror. Her legs flailed uselessly below her, as she kicked out, trying to keep her grip on the branch, but her claws were slipping from the oak's bark. The heat burned into her leg, and she looked down. She was on fire! She let out another panic stricken yowl as she slipped entirely and fell. The time she spent in the air seemed to last forever, burning agony engulfed her as her vision turned red, then black. A calm peacefulness swallowed her as the heat did likewise, and then she knew of nothing more than the final moments of her life, painful and terrifying. Pure agony.

Quietstream climbs tree and falls asleep and has a flashback when his mother was killed. Quietstream wakes up and falls out of tree "ow..."

[Random Melody]

Sparkkit mewled, looking up at his mother with wide blue eyes. Whats going on? Whats happening? Are you okay? He pawed at her slightly, then looked around and mewled again.

"Honeypaw!" Snowpaw yelled, helping Splashpaw out of camp.
Splashpaw was coughing, gasping for air as smoke filled her lungs.
"Im--" Honeypaw cut off as a violent cough wracked her body. She choked out a few more coughs before going on, "Okay. Im gonna see--If anyone else...Needs...Help."
"Your not okay!" Despite Snowpaw's protests, Foxpaw poked his head back into camp.
"Im fine, Foxy, go!" Honeypaw ordered, coughing again as she turned back to look around camp. She felt herself growing dizzy, the smoke in her lungs making it hard to breathe. Her eyes widened when she saw Fernpaw laying on the ground, and she darted over. "Fernpaw!"
Fernpaw looked up at her. "H-Honey...Paw.." She rasped.

"You dont need to worry about me, or our kits. You know that I would never let anything bad happen to any of us." Lightningclaw said firmly. It just occured to him now that Lightningclaw could call up a thunderstorm to help with the fire. A minute later, dark clouds rolled overhead, and rain began pouring down. While it may not be enough to stop the fire, it would slow it down and reduce how much damage it could cause.
